Private Teahouse

As a Chinese individual who grew up with tea, I can confidently say this fragrance captures a genuine tea scent. Unlike something like Wulong Cha—which, despite its name meaning oolong tea, lacks a true tea essence—this perfume excels in authenticity. At first spray, you're greeted with a unique blend of sweet and bright peach notes intertwined with dark smokiness. A subtle tea undertone emerges, seamlessly tying everything together and transporting you to a bustling dim sum restaurant or a lively tea house filled with conversation and the scent of smoking teas. As the fragrance dries down, the exquisite tea note of Lapsang Souchong becomes increasingly prominent, making it irresistible to sniff repeatedly. This scent is creative, long-lasting, dynamic, and photorealistic. It's truly a wonderful creation.

Some of the other reviews mention this being a very sweet, peachy perfume but on me the notes I smell the most of are the tea, smoke, and cacao. There are hints of the peach which is nice as it cuts through the otherwise mildly bitter makeup of the other notes, but it is not overwhelming. The tea itself is very photorealistic, if you like the smell of actual tea in a bag there's no doubt you'll like this. The sickly sweetness described in the other reviews seems to just be up to body chemistry, but despite this I am sure this is a general crowd pleaser.

This is for a fairy who hosts tea parties in her little pine fairy forest.... she puts on a fire and boils the water for the tea, lights the incense, puts out the peach jam for little treats, and invites all her fairy friends. This is so incredibly lapsang souchong.... so smoky and dry with that pine quality!!!! and the peach gives it this wonderful jaminess that sweetens it juuust so. if you love camping and the quickly dwindling art of tea spreads at camp then this is for you!!!!!

strong bitter peach that I really enjoy, not super sweet and has some nice complexity with the smokey cocoa and wood in the background. almost distracting to spray it on my own wrist because I just spend all day sniffing my arm instead of whatever else I'm meant to be doing lasts ages and has good sillage - i can spray it before work and still notice it projecting even after i get home really really love, one of my all-time favourites

Something about this scent is so addicting to me. To me, this isn't supposed to represent what tea smells like, but what the atmosphere of a very smoky and old teahouse smells like, where the workers are older and have stories to tell. The tea is somewhere being prepared in the background, not right in front of you. Very woody and smoky while having very sweet undertones - I love it.
