60's Couture

It was really a surprise to find this perfume at Dollar Tree for only $1.25! In a 1 ounce bottle, what a deal! This perfume is worth much more than that. Its aroma is very elegant in my opinion. On me, the highlights are the cloves note, the patchouli and the amber. A clean fragrance and I find it a little woody and powdery. Very comfortable to wear and it goes perfectly with this cold, autumnal weather. Good fragrance for everyday use, it is not invasive or overwhelming, rather quite cozy. Sometimes it reminds me Fire and Ice by Revlon, it is not that they smell the same, maybe it is because of the amber note they share. On me, this fragrance performs feminine and with moderate performance.

I really like the warm sensual aroma this gives its wearer, initial spray is strong so only a few sprays is needed. I find it balsamic and floral but as it dries down I get patchouli and amber it's so comforting and inviting. I really like this and it's long lasting too. I find it safe for all occasions and year round. Doesn't at all smell old lady like per say. It's kinda sexy to me. I like wearing this to bed after a warm bath.

My favorite out of Cher’s couture collection. A somewhat floral, with just a hint of spice smell. Love how it smells so much. My only complaint is it does not last long at all. Nor does any of the other Cher couture(I have all the decades collection). A fun fragrance to wear that smells great but wouldn’t recommend if you’re wanting something with a little longevity.

This reminds me very much of Dior Dune, with is musky, almost animalic amber (that facet calls to mind Obsession, for me, in both this and Dune) and the slightly dry grassy aspect. It's almost a dupe. Yes, its longevity pales in comparison to Dune, but it's accessible and inexpensive.

Definitely get the earthy patchouli and some spicy tones at the opening, but the florals are also prominent. I can see it being unisex, leaning slightly towards feminine because of the floral sweetness. Not an overly complex fragrance, and easy to wear.

I like this rollerball a lot, and the only issue is that it gives me a headache if I smell it too much. It's a pretty groovy scent.

This is a pretty light, powdery, patchouli fragrance, with some very delicate florals. That's it. The neroli almost comes across as vegetal, which gives this some earthiness. I don't get the rose, jasmine, or the orange blossom. You definitely have to like patchouli to enjoy this, I'd say it's one of the most dominant aspects of this fragrance. This will not pull compliments, or be mass appealing. This is ideal for spring and summer. The wear time on this is awful, as well as her other fragrances. On MY skin, I couldn't get anything past 2 hours, and that's being generous. (On clothes I got 8 to 12 hours of wear though) (I gave myself six sprays to test on skin) I shouldn't have to spray a fragrance 20 to 30 times in a day, just to make it last. I'm an oversprayer already, but this is ridiculous. If you do want this to hang around, you will most certainly have to over spray the heck out of this, apply to your clothes, or just carry it with you and touch it up throughout your day.

Big patchouli with amber. Spicy! I can tell there are other notes, but I can barely smell them through the spices. If you like spices, you might love this!

I bought this because it was on clearance, along with her other fragrances, and I liked the bottle. However, the smell is horrible. This smells obnoxious, nauseating, and old-lady-like, but not even in a musky way, just an outdated and migraine-inducing chaos.

Finally, Fragrantica added these to their database! 60’s Couture is my favorite from the Cher Decades Collection. I’d say it’s the most unisex/masculine of the decades line. 60’s Couture has a spicy, earthy, rose smell. When I smell this, I picture Cher in a dark hippie pad with beads on the doorway, Cher has her long black hair straightened and she’s wearing a brown leather vest with fringe tassels and bell bottoms. She’s smoking a joint and chillin with Sonny as they are collaborating on a song. That’s the image I get when I smell this. Very earthy, rosy, spicy, unisex, and vintage. You can find this cheap at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s.

OMG! I love this so much! It’s my absolute favorite patchouli but also gives me all the best vibes of Christian Dior Dune...actually like it better than the OG. This is a hidden gem with outstanding performance. Backup bottle worthy and safe blind buy if you love Dune. Puts you in a contemplative mood...perfect for a cold rainy introspective day. I highly recommend!
