Could have been a very interresting barbecue-style of oud but it's so diluted that at the end it's flat and whitout sillage. A shame it's strange than Luc and Sophie Gabriel, founders of the brand ar also the founders of The Different Company. For me the perfumes have the same problem, as good as they are if diluted like that you just have something boring and forgettable. ...but they dare sell that under the Extrait de Parfum concentration indication...this brand is definitively a scam.

Kodo is a Japanese ritual that helps the mind and body clear. Also known as "listening to incense", through the use of three ingredients: Byakudan (sandalwood), Jinkoh (aloe wood) and Kyara, estimated to be more expensive than gold. The ceremony takes place in silence with a maximum of fifteen people sitting around the master. Each participant has a sheet to record his impressions of the different incenses presented, which often turn into poems. It makes me smile a lot that this is what we do when reviewing perfumes, talking about our olfactory sensations in the most disparate ways. Adhara has a very strong opening characterized by Oud which quickly combines with strong leather, a combination made softer by the floral part. A decisive, strong, incisive fragrance, which I really like, I find it in its extremely elegant personality. Really beautiful, this brand is really surprising me. “Tea Ceremony” by Utagawa Kunisada.

When my husband smelled this perfume he told me "it smells like a beach float." It certainly has neoprene-type notes typical of a smoky oud with character. I notice something nutmeg-like spice, some toasted spice perhaps. Something from afar reminds me of coffee. It is certainly opulent and different.

Opening is oud and rose. Then very quickly comes the smoke. It is very smoky in fact.I percieve some incense, jasmin and animalic notes or leather. It is so smoky that I cannot compare it to anything I know. Lot of cumin in the drydown
