Or Des Îles

This is a beautiful ‘middle of the road’ tropical floral. Jasmine and citruses bring lightness and lift to the early phases of the wearing experience. The deep dry down (around 6-7 hours) is a sweet musky vanilla with Ylang Ylang. I get a distinct baby wipes or body cream aspect, but I don’t mind. To me that keeps it feeling clean and fresh instead of becoming overly indolic. The notes are well blended- you can pick them out if you concentrate, but they’re very cohesive. It does have a similar vibe to GdT Bora Bora, but it’s less sweet and much easier to wear in high heat. I tend to love tropical floral scents. For me, this checks all the boxes. It’s a perfect easy reach type of daytime scent for the spring and summer. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s really well balanced. Edit: Wearing this again 9 months later, I’m still enjoying it very much. It’s a ‘must try’ if you love tropical florals and ylang ylang. I think it’s one of the best picks from Cherigan.

Amazing blend. Smells very similar to Songes by Annick Goutal, but Cherigan's Or des Iles has a sweeter, heavier note which I enjoy more.

A nice monoï scent , but not especially qualitative or not even better that what you can find in all these cheap beauty drugstores in Europe. Using an old historical name to give character to a mainstream thing. They dare sell that under the Extrait de Parfum concentration indication...this brand is definitively a scam. Forgettable.

This is fairly interesting. It doesn't have the typical smooth ylang ylang, "exotic" yellow floral smell. The citrus adds sharpness and the overall scent has a green vibe due to the jasmine as well.

Sweet fruity floral. Heavy and creamy, but also sharp. Not very tropical. The citruses here not fresh, but thick and juicy. Would be nicer without the sweet synthetic vanillin.
