Love Story

This is developing into a Love Story for me (Husband Himself aside...). - Chloe perfumes have historically been a miss for me. For years, I couldn't even *smell* the OG "Chloe" EdP. The scent simply didn't register to my nose. So, I did my Trash Person thing and bought a bottle anyway. Only when I owned it (suspicious in itself... but moving on) could I smell something. And I loved it. A sharp, green, musky, kinda-soapy rose. Also, long-lasting and strong. What a win. - The vast majority of Chloe flankers overwhelm me. Not their scent, simply their vastness. Enough already. - "Nomade" is great, but just not *me*. I feel a bit like an imposter when I wear it despite my enjoyment of it. It smells awesome on a friend on mine, though. This, though? Love at first sniff. As such, my favourite Chloe fragrance! I adore the sharp, citrus, tangy opening notes! Neroli is also always a bomb scent, so that helps. I usually struggle with grapefruit, but it's epic here. Or just nicely blended. The middle notes? Pure bliss. Orange blossom is fresh, sexy, and romantic. I have stephanotis in my garden and it's such an underrated flower. A strong jasmine that isn't...typical? I also get that juicy, fruity peach, and sexy black (under)currant. When I die, send me home with a woody, floral musk! Fortunately, that's what I get here. A warm, cozy, intoxicating musk with cashmirwood/cashmeran. It would be a crime to not allow cashmeran to shine. It's woody, warm, slightly-vanillic, delightfully musky with hints of nostalgia (for me). Similar to Burberry "Body", the cashmeran invites hugs from your favourite person. "Love Story" resonates as a gorgeous, romantic, feminine, citrus floral that projects nicely (somewhat surprisingly) and lasts well - not forever, but enough to satisfy. I honestly think the perfume I've smelled that it most closely resembles is Jo Malone's "Honeysuckle & Davana". Do with that what you will. I feel girly AND womanly. Like I can oscillate between the two all my days. Repurchase-worthy! *** Kitty rating: 9/10!

On a quest to find the best and most interesting neroli/orange blossoms fragrance (decently priced), I have decided recently to purchase a bottle of 2014’s Chloe Love Story. Some people say in the comments that it’s been discontinued, but from my experience seems to be available to purchase, in some countries at least. I am not going to lie, it’s not what I’d expect from seeing the notes. My bottle offers a fairly strong rose and blackcurrant dominant white floral perfume. Also, with a note like stephanotis, which I have not encountered in any perfume so far, I expected something more unique smelling. It delivers that! And it’s not your typical fresh, green, soapy neroli/ orange blossoms perfume. It’s that but it’s also lots of blackcurrants, rose, peach, pear, grapefruit and some woods. It’s smooth, very fruity, slightly powdery and a tad spicy. Smells more syrupy sweet than fresh or citrusy to me, not sickly sweet though, and almost in equal parts, fruity and floral. It’s definitely not like any of my other white floral centric perfumes, but smells very good and seems pretty long lasting, which I love in any perfume! I have blind bought it but I wouldn’t recommend to any lady blind buying it if they want your standard neroli, orange blossom perfume. Love Story is more nuanced, complex and sweet than that! And if you’re not a fan of blackcurrants, I’d say stay away from Love Story... But I am happy to own a bottle of this! It’s something else. Edit: very long lasting on clothing. It’s next day late in the afternoon and I still can smell it on my sweatshirt.

I have Chloe Love Story EDP 50ML. Instantly stunned by the beautiful design of the bottle itself. gold handle topped off with a white ribbon, you couldn't get any more feminine and classy than that. I love most things that Chloe brings out. I feel its a well put together, classy brand. Owning the bags and glasses, I had to start a Chloe perfume collection going. I own other well reviewed perfumes such as Chanel No. 5 and J'adore Dior, so I was interested to see how a Chloe perfume would live up to standard. I was pleasantly surprised. It is an extremely classy perfume. Has a slight hint of J'adore Dior resemblance, but different in it's own right. Firstly hit with a slow scent of white floral scents slowly merging into rose powdery blend. It is extremely floral. But for all the right reasons. It is light, bounces off the senses and hits classy in every sense of the word. It could be worn as a daytime classy fragrance, maybe if you are attending something of importance-or if you just want to feel that extra bit of class, this is the perfume you would go for. It is not powerful and overbearing, just enough to give your senses some pleasure. The longevity is average, it doesn't dissipate quickly, you get a fair bit of time from it, however it does not last forever like some perfumes do. Overall I would reccomend purchasing this if you love a classy, floral scent. 10/10.

I'm in LOVE! Here's my story--It was my birthday yesterday and my wonderful, thoughtful husband purchased this (along with a vacuum...lol) as my birthday presents. What makes this perfume especially special to me is that he told me that he did research on it first and read numerous reviews giving it a 4/5 star rating. Just him doing that is an extra present for me, because he knows I'm passionate about my perfume collection (addiction), and listens intently to my personal opinions and reviews about them. He even knew that it wasn't on my want list. Now, finally, my review--Immediately after applying two sprays, I noticed a sweet, slightly spicy rose scent that is almost aquatic. Very clean and fresh, like expensive laundered linen. Didn't realize orange blossom was one of the notes but I must love that note because my perfume favorites have this note. To visualize it using color, I'd say, white, not red or black. The longevity on me is about eight hours. It's noticeable and lovely. I'm constantly sneaking sniffs of my wrist to get an instant scent-boost. (I always wonder if anyone has noticed me doing that.) Cloe Love Story will be in my top rotation. I'll wear it to work, out with my husband, shopping with my daughter and at home. Heck! I'll even wear it while vacuuming--my other gift. The End...

My Favourite fragrance till now, What makes it special for me, the mixing of orange, neroli, mesk, white flowers and cedar woods, mix of feelings with clean, fresh, Classy, Gentleness, romance, calm, Dreamer and fiminine lady. I adore how it can change my hole mood and I didn't smell any dupe of it before. this perfume suitable for any time and any season, Your wedding, after shower or during the day. 5 star to it and I recommended to own it even if you think to buy it blind buy or like the clean fresh calm perfumes. It lasts 12 hours on the leather and one day on the clothes. A gorgeous, elegant, feminine, romantic, fresh floral. On me it’s a beautiful, soft, white floral scent that’s lightly sweet, and has a touch of bright, clean, fresh citrus. The florals are delicate, as if they just freshly opened. The base notes of musk, fresh cedar, warm cashmirwood, and patchouli become more prominent, but still subtle during the dry down. The cedar adds a lovely, slightly sweet, fresh woody scent. I don’t typically overly like patchouli, but in this I do. There’s just a touch of it, so it’s not too spicy, and it really accentuates the other base notes well. Love Story really is the perfect name for this fragrance. This is one of the most romantic and elegant freshly floral fragrances that I own. I especially enjoy wearing this in the springtime. I’m not typically overly drawn to florals, but I do really love this one. For reference, some of the other ones I love are Coach Love (2012 version), Coach Poppy Blossom, Coach Poppy Wild Flower, Chloe, Flowerbomb, FB Ruby Orchid, FB Nectar, and FB Midnight. I typically get great longevity with my fragrances, and Love Story is no exception... it lasts the entire day. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Some perfumes tell a story. Love Story by Chloé feels more like a memory. The dry down settles into clean musk and subtle woods. Even hours later it retains the feeling of sunshine on white fabric and blossoms stirred by the wind. Probably my favorite spring/summer perfume for everyday wear. I reviewed this over a year ago rather unfavorably, but have since changed my mind and ended up purchasing a bottle about a month ago. I have quite a few fragrances in my collection that I designate for this time of year - Chloe EDP, Gucci Bamboo, Marc Jacobs Daisy, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and more. Love Story is the one I find myself reaching for most. Simply put, it is a very pretty, very feminine floral fragrance. The initial citrusy blast didn't make a large impression on me, but you really have to *wear* this perfume to get the whole gorgeous picture. Once the sharpness of the initial spray passes, you get a beautiful, fresh floral bouquet sweetened subtly with fruity notes. The drydown is my favorite part - a warm, comforting, and sexy mix of woods and musk. I do wish it had the performance of Chloe EDP. I wouldn't say it's weak in sillage or longevity, but I think it could be better. I usually have to reapply once or twice during the day, unlike Chloe EDP which goes strong for 12+ hours.

Very late to this party but happy I got here. I love this. It's really feminine and yet tailored. So you could be at a wedding or a formal luncheon but you could also just be wearing jeans and your favorite tailored white shirt. Crisp citruses and juicy pear, a bit sharp - the florals moving in with neroli as the star and settling in to a lovely clean musk - but not the overpowering laundry musk of some of the more recent releases. No vanilla, no syrup, no patchouli. Because it does not have the notes I just listed it smells "newer" than a lot of the latest releases. Can I already be tired of rose? Well yes I am. And it's not here, so again this makes it smell more original than most of the new releases I just tested. This perfume is not "challenging" but it is definitely pretty. Perfect for work this spring and summer and that is exactly how I plan to use it.

Clean, Powdery & Delicate Floral... The opening comes on strong with a clean, powdery & citrus-y neroli, but already the Chloe DNA is swelling through. As it transitions to the heart, it softens with white-florals & orange-blossom that help to continue the clean vibe that gets fluffier, while the Chloe DNA remains in the background with rose, peach & patchouli. The base notes, especially musk, help to continue the powdery, clean & fluffy effect. I currently just have a sample of this, although I had a bottle back in 2014 which I regrettably gave away. When I first got this, I found it too powdery & clean, but now as I'm testing it from the sample I'm appreciating it's delicate beauty. Projects a lot at first, but then settles into a delicate clean floral vibe that sweetens the longer it's on the skin. This one has won me over. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I got this for Christmas, I can't believe I slept on this for so long! It's absolutely stunning! An extremely clean, fresh laundry, clean girl vibe. Extremely feminine. Perfect for weddings or work or just a day out shopping. Love at first sniff! However......🤔 The performance is not good on me at all. Within a half hour I could barely smell it. Within a hour it had completely gone from my clothes. This was one of those rare times the fragrance lasted on my skin longer than it did on my clothes. By the hour it was a skin scent only and by 90 mins it had completely gone! Which is a shame because this could have been a signature worthy scent for me. It is truly beautiful, sadly I have EDTs that last longer.

I put this on last night before bedtime and wow I love it so much! It was unexpected because I tried this YEARS ago, liked it, bought a bottle, and promptly forgot about it. For some reason, I remembered it as kind of boring?? Either my nose has developed more since then, or I was just wrong, because this is NOT boring! It is clean white florals with a little bit of sweetness. My husband immediately said it reminded him of laundry detergent and I get that comparison too! It reminds me of laying on clean white sheets with the windows open, on vacation in Santorini, with the sunshine streaming in, seeing the cloudless blue sky and hearing the water outside.

Too me it's name is true for over time I fell in love with this perfume. It is a soft delicate scent which is quite lovely, appealing to men, my husband loves the scent on my skin. From the opening of soft grapefruit light lemon with pear it's is very pretty, pleasing to the senses, I enjoyed as it developed to the orange and rose, the scents I noticed the most, then to a powdery light musk, with a touch of floral , I was very pleased. It has a 6 hour longevity and if you use the body lotion it will last until the next morning. It has a moderate sillage which I really liked alot. for times you want to be noticed but not make a bold statement.

This perfume opens up so vibrant, fresh and inviting with the citrus and pear. I'm beginning to realize that I'm very inclined to like perfumes that open up with pear in the top notes. It's perfumey but in the best way possible to me. It gives a level of sharpness that I love. I'm usually not a fan of patchouli unless it's done right and not overwhelming, which it is not in this fragrance. While wearing this, I envision myself somewhere in Paris during summer vacation with the windows open as the breeze from the citrus garden lightly flows through the drapes. I absolutely love this fragrance and It will always remain in my collection 😍

Chloé Love Story is fresh and light with a beautiful woody dry down. Very feminine and ethereal, angelical almost. It also has a light oldschool vibe, but oldschool in a good way. Very classic smelling. The bottle design is perfect for its content. I somehow feel like, a ghost could wear this. I envision Marilyn Monroe with her natural hair color and a white linen dress, lounging under a tree and smiling. It’s a sunny day and she’s at peace with herself. One moment she’s there, then she’s gone again, but her scent lingers. The name ‘Love Story’ is fitting. Love yourself.

Love Story by Chloé is a decent white floral scent. Moderate sillage, longevity not very good. It smells pretty, but too much like a bunch of other things I already have. I’m starting to understand what the frag snobs mean when they say all of these soft white florals start to run together after a while. There’s nothing particularly unique or remarkable about this one. It’s good, but not great. I would buy it if there weren’t other things in my collection that already smell this way. A safe choice if you’re just looking for an everyday, wear-to-work scent.

Perfect wedding day perfume. Beautiful traditional orange flower, notes of jasmine baby's breath (stephanotis is a jasmine), and a light muskiness to help make it a little sexy. Lots of grapefruit and lemon and a touch of bergamot up front to keep you fresh. Altogether a very pretty fragrance. Lots to like, nothing to dislike here. Sadly, no cashmirwood or patchouli detectable to my nose. This doesn't really need it, anyway. Although it might last longer if those notes were more pronounced. You'll probably need to top it off again after about five hours.

Another blind buy for me - felt quite confident that I would like it as I pretty much adore all of Chloé's perfumes. Read the reviews in here, which are rather negative, and expected the worst. The result, however, is pretty f*cking awesome! I love this scent. I know Chloé's scents are pretty similar (and maybe that's why I like them all), but this one actually stands out with its freshness. I do like powdery perfumes, which especially Chloé Love is, but this one isn't really powdery, just sweet and delightful. It may end up being my favourite! :)

I just bought a 50ml bottle, and I'm in love! I do agree that it's kind of generic, but it still has that Chloé DNA. It's slightly more soapy than the other Chloés, though. It has a ton of white flowers and kind of has an expensive lotion scent (maybe because of the peach note). The sillage is so soft; it's very intimate—only people close to you will smell it. The longevity is good; it lasts 5-6 hours and even lingers after I've washed my hands or taken a shower. I can't wait to give it a proper wear!

I got a sentimental thing to this perfume because this is the very first perfume I bought for myself. I got it with my first salary from my internship in my collage years. It was the only perfume that I had for a long time. I'd wear it day and night, summer and winter. I finished 3 full 75 ml bottles of this. I got my 4th now. Right now it's definitely a summer perfume for me. It's citrusy, white floral and musky. I like the pear in this a lot. A very fresh scent. It lasts about 6-8 hours on me.
