Nomade Jardin d’Égypte

I was lucky to purchase Nomade Jardin d’Égypte early from a limited release at Auckland Airport. I am already a big fan of the Nomade Égypte collection, and I'm also Egyptian so this line is very meaningful to me, but I'll try not to be bias. In short, Nomade Jardin d’Égypte is a heavenly, balanced, addictive scent, that reflects and celebrates the intricacy of ancient Egypt. The star note, papyrus, gives a soft, slightly nutty warmth without tipping into heavy woods. The fig is the true revelation here: it adds a gentle sweetness and depth that the previous Égypte releases didn’t have. It reminds me of the sweetness in Nomade Naturelle Eau de Parfum, but far more elegant, never cloying, never sickly, just presently poised. And then, kyphi, always my favourite element in these compositions. Truly Egyptian. The earliest known perfume in human history, and here it's incorporation feels reverent rather than decorative If this fragrance were a scene, it would be sunset on Elephantine Island, walking slowly along the Nile, ancient ruins glowing in amber light, the river breathing around you. The air carries the sweetness of dried figs, everything feels sacred and still. Beauty, uninterrupted. Most impressively, this fragrance has far greater staying power than its predecessors. On my skin, it lasted 7+ hours, which was a genuinely welcome surprise after the softer longevity of the first two Égypte releases. As the scent sat on my wrist, I found myself returning to it again and again throughout the day, drawn back, almost unconsciously, that quiet addiction only the best perfumes create.This is Nomade Égypte at its most refined. Do yourself a favour, go get this perfume. It’s not just a scent; it’s a place, a memory, golden hour by the Nile. It's my new signature scent and just may be yours too 🌅✨

I don't really know how kyphi is supposed to smell but according to the forum it smells of honey, wine, spices, myrrh and frankincense. I don't know about that but I do smell cinnamon, fresh green fig with skin and everything, dates and sandalwood. It's different from all my other perfumes and that's why I fell for it. Sweet, spicy, warm and somehow reminds me of going to the hairdresser. 😅 I guess something in it resembles expensive hair spray or shampoo maybe. I love this, one of my favorites ❤️ it stays with you all day and wafts around you when you move even many hours after application. I chose between this one and the Nuit d'Egypte, and this came out on top because it felt smoother, creamier and more put together.

It is very smart and a fully grown up womanity, sensual and no-nonsense. First tests revealed jungle-like scent fitting the garden name, but worn globally the effect is fruity-balsamic. Dates are very pronounced as such it reminds me of one of the Naturelle line. Fig maybe adds a note or two. I feel also green notes of papirus apparently. Spices are soft and in equal proportions to balsamic notes with floral nuances that I do not recognize as myrrh, so maybe it is the kyphi. It performs moderately but lasts long. It feels deep and special. Nice iteration of Nomade family. Spiciest and balmiest of them all but medium deep. It smells well on clothes and I feel it next day on them which is great as the scent is lovely.

One of the most distinctive compositions I’ve tested in recent months when it comes to evoking comfort and a sense of cocooning warmth. It opens with creamy, almost silky notes of yellow florals. Subtle accords of wood and papyrus create a smooth, warm base. The whole feels like an exotic, soothing haven—bringing relaxation and calm amid the turbulence, worries, and task-driven pace of everyday life. Longevity is all-day, sillage strong, with minimal evolution. A truly beautiful composition—beautiful in every sense. The best fragrance from the Nomade line I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing, and one of my clear favorites from Chloé.

It reminds me of a drugstore face cream - the kind a typical mom might choose - full of warmth, nostalgia, and subtle elegance. At first, there’s a gentle sweetness that isn’t overpowering, already blended with a touch of freshness. As it develops, it turns into a soft, powdery, slightly soapy freshness. Then a balsamic note and even a faint hint of a cleaning product, but nothing disturbing - it rather enhances the feeling of cleanliness. After about an hour, the scent becomes warmer, softer, and “papery.” Applied at 10:30 am, by 4 pm only a light sweetness remains.

Despite its notes, this is a fresher and spicier take on nuit d'egypte which is definitely more of a gourmand winter scent. I have a sample and cant wait for a full bottle. The papyrus is fresh and really well balanced, with a spicy drydown that doesnt overpower any one ingredient, sandalwood finish. Fresh and truly like walking through a garden in egypt. Great for the price. Amazing flanker and outshines a lot of the other nomade ranges. Really ladylike and uplifting

An Egyptian goddess with well moisturized, glowy skin and rich tan, basking in the golden sunset. She moves through the air very seductively, but is not loud or desperate, there is a lot of mystery to her. It is very nice, sweet, deep but not too complex. Overall creates a nice bubble of dried tropical fruit sweetness with something a little stinky and animalic in the background which keeps it grounded and interesting.

Warm and sweet. The date accord is most prominent on my skin. Not overbearing, wearable, summery but could work in colder weather too because of how woody and syrupy it is. Blends well with citrus/berry mists.

On my skin creamy myrrh -sandal base is very dominant, second comes dates and fig, cinnamon and papyrus are subtle but gives vague spiciness. Overall it feels very warm, creamy and sweet but not like sugary

We are in a garden, without a doubt - but an unusual one. The Nomade d’Égypte base is still there, but it feels more subdued, much less noticeable than in the first two fragrances. There is a faint aquatic impression, but nothing too obvious, and a touch of freshness that never quite turns truly green or crisp. This is not a lush garden, but rather a tiny oasis lost in the middle of the desert. It has endured the day’s crushing heat, and as evening falls, the warmth (myrrh, cinnamon, a strong impression of honey - perhaps the broom again) slowly begins to mingle with the first hints of coolness (fig and papyrus, somewhere between green and woody). And yet I don’t really smell fig as such. It comes across more as an undefined fruity note blending into the composition and giving the whole a slightly intriguing finish. In the end, Jardin d’Égypte feels almost like a meeting point between the first two fragrances - warm and oriental, yet at the same time fresh and luminous. And still, the final result stands a little apart, though I find it hard to explain exactly why. Personally, I like it. I find it pleasant and different from most of the recent releases I’ve smelled. I enjoy this collection a lot.

One week after testing this, I can say its very chic, fresh, green, classy. The drydown is beautyful and multilayeter, soft and I can smell figs, some white flowers, sandalwood and maybe ambrette - and that familiar chloe nomade Jasmin-date- base. It can be just a lil screetcy on beginning, in a room fresheners way, but as said it balanced on drydown. Im waiting to see how its in summer temperatures. I love chloes nomade line! This would be favorite after Jasmin Naturel + Intense, And Lumiere d’Eqypte.

I really like this one. It’s very spicy, especially on my skin, but on paper and clothes there’s a delicacy - a creaminess, something familiar and nostalgic. I know this is the Egypt collection, but when I smell it, it makes me think of Marguerite Duras’s film "India Song". Hot nights, people speaking slowly... And dancing, by the river, as night falls. That song, Jeanne Moreau singing...

I don’t get the pyramid of notes at all. It reminds me very much of a toned down with a less indolic jasmin & balsamic Alien from Mugler in the DRY DOWN. It’s okay but nothing outstanding : skin scent with medium longevity 💔 Edit : I think it’s veryy close to Alien EXTRAINTENSE too in the dry down but very toned down. I like to layer them both, so pretty as a combination

This is almost IDENTICAL to Nomade Nuit d’Egypte which I already own. It's a really nice scent but you definitely don't need both so just make your pick I guess. I think I prefer the floral ambery touch in Nuit, but the fig does add a nice sweetness to this fragrance. I honestly really love these two perfumes!!

I expected greenness and humidity from the name, but it's rather dry. The opening smells like paper in the best way. Then it settles into a woody-spicy scent with sweetness. Myrrh gives it some necessary gravitas. Not a redundant flanker per se, but it lacks the opulence that made me fall in love with Nuit.

Erm, as a lover of Nuit d' Egypte this simply pokes my nose. Not a balanced blend. 3/10

This was a huge disappointment as someone whose special interest is Ancient Egypt and likes Nuit d'Egypte. It smelled pungent, almost cat-piss like. Might give it a try on the skin though, I really want to give this a chance. Will update if I change my mind.

Most of Nomade are my favorite scents, I was looking forward to the new Jardin. Unfortunately, a big disappointment, on me it develops into a flat, annoying, and nauseating scent, something like a car vanilla Wunderbaum.

This is not usually my type of perfume, but it completely won me over, I loved it. At first, it reminds me of herbal candies with a hint of licorice, similar to traditional throat lozenges (probably due to the combination of sweet and spicy notes like cinnamon and dates). At the same time, it has a very solar quality that evokes the beach: a warm, enveloping sweetness that reminds me of expensive sunscreen and sun-warmed skin. It makes me think of elegant, deeply tanned women at the beach. It’s a sweet scent that never feels cloying, with a beautiful balance between comfort and elegance. I feel like it works in any season, but especially in the transitional ones (spring and autumn). A mature and addictive fragrance, the kind that makes me want to keep smelling my wrist, as if the scent were coming from my own sun-warmed skin.

On initial spray, this was straight up bubblegum to me. Couldn't get past the sickly sweetness. Realized it was dates and the indolic nature of jasmine coming through. I cannot handle jasmine when its fully bodied like that, and the whole composition was quite overwhelming. Can see the appeal and appreciate the uniqueness of it, but not for me personally. The original nomade edt still reigns supreme. Layered it with this to balance its sweetness with the bright mossy chypre-ness of the og and that was honestly really good. Will use up my sephora sample this way.
