Sable Lavande

If you rule this out thinking you don't like lavender, think again. Sable Lavande truly accomplishes a reimagined, infinitely wearable lavender, yes still with that delicate powdery/herbaceous floral side to it but here it is much warmer, more textured and almost glowing, which isn't easy to accomplish with such an identifiable dominant note. Opening with a gentle vibrancy, there's almost an awakening and spirited side to this, followed by the creamy soothing influx of fresh but calming cleanliness from lavender and clary sage, its meditative and blissful but not overwhelmingly or stereotypically lavender. Mellowing into a musky, soft wood base, there is so much texture and depth to this fragrance and it really is reminiscent of sun soaked lavender fields in the serenity of a summer breeze. All four of the new releases from the Chloe Atelier des Fleurs Mediterranean Essences line have really captivated me and I think will be well worn throughout the next few seasons.

The Atelier des Fleurs fragrances from the Mediterranean Essences collection are defined by their refinement. The notes intended to take center stage are presented in a polished manner, smooth and pleasurable, like a leisurely summer holiday. The same is true of Sable Lavande. Here, lavender avoids herbal sharpness; it feels natural, yet as if lazily warmed in an olive grove, its facets softened and gentler. Wearing this fragrance reminds me of the experience of Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès, the same Mediterranean delight, with almost oily, sun-warmed nuances. Pure bliss. As the fragrance unfolds, it gains a little more character, becoming more balsamic and aromatic, with a fresh green vibrancy. Longevity on fabric lasts throughout the day, while the sillage remains moderate. The flacon, like the entire line, impresses with its quality and beautiful colors.

This perfume is a beautifully composed take on lavender that leans far away from anything sharp or medicinal. It opens with a soft, airy lavender that feels immediately comforting—more like a luxurious spa atmosphere than a traditional aromatic scent. The lavender here is creamy, soft and smooth, almost wrapped in a subtle milky softness that makes it feel very refined and wearable. As it develops, gentle woody nuances start to emerge, adding depth and structure without overpowering the composition. Overall, it gives a calming, cocooning effect—clean, elegant, and quietly luxurious. It’s the kind of scent that feels effortless yet sophisticated, perfect if you’re drawn to fragrances that soothe rather than project loudly. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite lavender scents for life and in my opinion another banger from Chloe's Atelier des Fleurs line!

Sable Lavande is so beautiful to me. I get the lavender on my skin and there’s something fresh and a little camphorous in it. The camphor may be from the lavender itself or perhaps from a eucalyptus or wild sage note I am detecting (though both herbs are not on notes pyramid). In any case, this smells clean and fresh like a luxury aromatherapy spa in the best way possible. The Amboxan always give a little citrus tang on my skin — and this one is no different. I don’t get a lot of woods, but maybe just a soft undercurrent beneath the surface. Something about this is giving me a sunny vibe and plant-scented air. Truly like the atmosphere and energy in the Mediterranean. This is a favourite! I have the 50 ml, but now thinking of getting the 150 ml so I don’t ever run out for a long time. I hope they don’t ever discontinue this Mediterranean Edition line!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING! I was so blown away with how beautiful this scent is! The name is a bit misleading because I would describe this as more of a woody aromatic scent than a floral heavy scent. It’s creamy, it’s lightly musky, and in my opinion it’s office friendly. The lavender is absolute perfection mixed with the woody notes. This is herbal and spa-like. Fresh and clean and soothing. I feel like it’s a non-offensive scent with a perfect balance of woods, musk, and floral notes. It’s unisex, or perhaps ever so slightly feminine leaning but a man could also pull this off. I just ordered a full bottle after trying it out from a split. It’s just so good!!

Actively avoided spraying the sample bottle of this for weeks, as past experience of lavender scents weren’t terribly compelling. When I did, however, was utterly captivated. The opening of this is so different from the medicinal smell I associate with Lavender, but rather a green, milky and ultimately woody fragrance that brings to mind fig trees, in the Mediterranean warmth. Whilst a deeply personal and intimate scent, I’m struck by how long this remains on my skin and radiates from my clothing for days after. I’ve taken the plunge and purchased 150ml bottle. This is destined to be my go to for spring and summer.

This one genuinely surprised me as I'm not typically a fan of lavender (it reminds me of yoga mat cleaning spray and anti-depressant aromatherapy, lol). This is smooth, zero humidity, warm, ambery woods with a very round, soft, gentle, almost creamy lavender. Musky skin scent + warm dry woods tinged with a smoooooth lavender. It's incredibly comforting, I keep smelling the paper I sprayed it on, even hours later. It's captivating. Not sure if I'm imagining this but I get a bit of a figgy quality as well.

I blind bought this because 1) I trust Quentin Bisch 😅 2) usually I like lavender scents 3) love other scents from Chloe. Luckily, this was a total success! It’s not a typical lavender scents, it’s more green, smooth and almost milky. If I didn’t know it’s a lavender scents I would have guessed it’s a fig perfume, but the green leafy fig. Very green, fresh but in a smooth way. Perfect for spring! I also found it layers well with many other scents. I find the longevity good.

This is really beautiful. Probably the best lavender I have ever smelled in a perfume. And yes - this is really about the lavender, the fig is prominent only in the top and luckily it has zero coconut-like character. Unfortunately, extremely fleeting. No sillage, no projection, abysmal longevity. Hard to justify the price. No similarity to Philosykos at all.

I absolutely love this. I am a huge fan of Celine Rimbaud and this is in the same family. Sable Lavande opens up so bright and herbaceous then settles into a soft powdery lavender with a light citrus. This is such a calming fragrance. I blind bought the 1.6oz then instantly ordered the 5oz bottle. I will own this forever!

Do yourself a favor and layer Sable Lavande, this stunning luscious lavender, herbaceous freshie frag with Chloe Vanilla Planifolia. It’s a perfect pair. You’ll thank me later. Enjoy!

This is my white whale lavender!! It's dry and evokes the feeling of being in a hot lavender field in the middle of summer. If French lavender is the buds, this is the green stem.

It’s a 9/10 perfume for me, I didn’t give it a 10 just because it’s weak for my liking but the smell is a 10

Edit: I still love this perfume but it is very skin scent with lacking longevity, which is a shame. Do better, Chloé! *** That's exactly what I hoped for Nishane B-612 to be, but it didn't deliver, being too heavy on cypress and pines. While Sable Lavande Chloé is woody but not too woody, lavender but not too floral, musky but not too sweet nor cloying. Definitely a bit unisex and fresh in a nice, herbal-like way. I wouldn't be mad if the lavender was stronger here, but I still like the way it's been presented, quite unique and interesting, light and airy, I would say. I don't think I've come across this kind of using lavender in perfumes yet and I'm a die hard fan of lavender in everything, lol 💜 It's a delicate and pretty scent that somehow reminds me of summer days of my childhood, busy with exploring countryside, its sunny, fragrant meadows and also highly scented, but umbrageous woodlets. Today's my first day of using it, in the middle of quite cold February, the scent seems to stay closer to the skin, maybe I should start overspraying more, we'll see. I'm sure Sable Lavande will be a great, refreshing perfume for summer, but I'm gonna enjoy it whenever I only feel like using it. Safe blind buy IMO, versatile fragrance, suitable for many occasions. Totally harmless for the people around, I would say. And even to the wearer, lol.

This is a special one. I love lavender, but not in perfume, it is usually way too perfumy and fake. Not this one. This is a walk in the fields, with wild flowers and lavender that feels so natural, flowers and stems and leaves and all. After dry down it smells like you crushed the whole plant of lavender and you have leftover oils and green juices on your skin. It is magical for lavender lovers. Unique. And as for sillage and longevity, I wore it yesterday on my wrist, 2 sprays from a sample, and everything I touched still smells of it, my couch included, 24 hours later.

The dry down reminds me so much of Bal d'Afrique by Byredo!! Lasts longer though ;) I’m also usually not a fan of perfumes that lean too unisex, but it doesn’t bother me as much with this one. Although I wish we got more lavender :( This is the kind of perfume I’d want to spray on myself right after a shower, it feels clean, fresh, and breezy. I don’t really get the creaminess that other comments are mentioning.

I don’t know what everyone here is smoking but I get intense — although sweet and figgy — lavender buffeted by florals and wood.

This is woody with an herbal lavender on my skin.

I have returned my bottle ( sable Lavande- Chloe). The raw coconut flesh was more prominent than anything else in this composition. I love lavender and was expecting a subtle one, but could barely detect it. And also can’t stand that coconut scent, it’s nauseating for me. I have just received a purchase from Bastide ( French perfumery) Lavande in Love, and can also detect that note in it, it might be the Ambroxan mixed with woods. But in the Lavande in Love it is towned down so I can bare it. Will continue my pursuit to find a good mix of lavander and other aromatics, without that coconutiness.

Unfortunately, this was a hard pass for me. It is really very lavender-y so you really have to enjoy the scent of lavender. It is very smooth, very warm, very enveloping but it was lavender overkill for me. This is not a bad perfume by any means. I am just not sure if I want to smell like this. Overall, I do enjoy many of the fragrances from the Atelier des Fleurs line however, this one just did not work out for me.

Very different on skin and paper. On paper honestly can barely smell it. On skin, however, this smells strongly of blackcurrant (which smells like cat pee to some people) - and I don't like blackcurrant in perfumes. No lavender on skin at all. I can't find the "official notes" but I'm pretty sure there's blackcurrant in this. Try on skin!

The title of this fragrance is a bit deceiving because it is more fig forward than lavender...and I'm not mad. After spending time with all four fragrances from the collection this is my favorite. It opens with a very green fig with milky coconut facets. You get the leaves, some very bitter citrus like petitgrain, and lavender flowers wafting through on a warm solar breeze. This lavender isn't sharp, medicinal, or masculine as is common these days but has a sweeter floral side. However if you are here for the lavender, take note, because the lavender slowly takes a backseat to a creamy green fig. This remains the star of the fragrance with lavender nuances peeking through here and there but the milky fig gets warmer with a solar effect. Ambroxan is very lightly done so no worries. In the end it is a beautiful refined take on an aromatic green fig fragrance. If you are looking for a sweet fruity fig go with plage du figiere but this is the greener, creamier, more sophisticated fig of the two in my opinion.

This is a gorgeous creamy & musky floral lavender scent! I was worried I’d be bothered by the ambroxan note in here but it’s not screechy/chemical at all to me thankfully and not heavy on the woods which I’m happy about. It’s a soothing warm blend of non medicinal lavender, musk, florals and subtle woods. Really lovely! This is my type of lavender scent as opposed to something like TF Lavender extreme - that fragrance was too medicinal and way too masculine for me. Sable lavande is unisex leaning more to the fem side imo. A must try if you are in the market for a beautiful lavender scent. Projection and longevity are both great. Not “beast mode” type of projection, a diffused projection. On first wear it performed well for me for 3-4 hours with a moderate sillage. Easy reach kind of fragrance.

The person that said that this reminded them of Bal D'Afrique is completely correct! I get BDA with fresh coconut water. I wouldn't know that there was lavender in this if I was to smell it without knowing the notes. It's not the standout star to me. I get fig, woods and real coconut flesh and the water. It's a beautiful scent. It's not weak, but will last all day on me in a gentle scent bubble. I did 5 sprays on skin and was able to get wafts of it throughout the day. I have a 10ml decant but will be getting the full size bottle when I can catch it on sale.

It's a dead ringer for L'Artisan Parfumeur's Tonka Blanc, which at the time was considered quite an esoteric choice. Interesting what branding can do for how 'mass appealing' a scent is perceived

Unusual for me to enjoy a lavender scent but this is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately it lasts a maximum of 20 minutes on my skin and clothes. Why does the chloe range preform so badly??!

I'm a big lavender fan but out of all the lavender fragrances I have smelled this kinda missed the mark for me. Not a fan of how powdery this feels.

This smells like the lobby of Adare Manor in Ireland. Google it if you don’t know— my favorite thing I’ve sprayed in a LONG time.

Smells like a high-end spa. Very soft and envelopping but surprisingly longlasting. The lavender is barely noticable.
