Long Kiss Goodnight

Definitely one of the most intoxicating fragrances out there. This is definitely meant to be worn on a summer night. It's a very strong scent, so no more than three sprays or it will become suffocating. Rose is the most prominent note, which is what makes it lean more unisex. However, it blends perfectly with a rich coffee bean that gives LKG this depth. However, to me the real star player of this fragrance is the passionfruit note. I found the inclusion of passionfruit very intriguing due to the other listed notes, and was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. It adds this juicy, tangy, mouthwatering aspect to LKG that you'd come to expect from a tropical fruit; very well done Mr. Collins. I got the travel size for all three of his Anima fragrances and this one is by far the one I get the most compliments on, from men and women. It has incredible longevity, silage, and projection, so it is definitely worth every penny. I will be getting a full bottle for next summer.

Wow, this is the winner rose-peony duo among those I tried. Previously the favorite was Fleur Musc of Narciso Rodriguez, closely followed by Delina from Perfums de Marly. Here in combination with oud it makes the rose deep and dark, with amazing silage and beast mode longevity. I barely detect any top notes except for some spiciness, because the rose-peony combined with oud come out very quickly and STAY, for hours. I did get a distinct impression that there must be leather there, just like some reviewers below. But it dissipates in while. Soft sweetness of amber with vanilla is there when I sniff it close to skin, makes it smooth and sexy. very impressive, I want to try more of Chris Collins now

This is what I expected Tommy Iommi to smell like. Girlfriend sprayed it yesterday and I was wondering what she was wearing, it's been a while since I've smelled it. Rose and oud but with a twist: smells like a romantic cruise touring the Caribbean with your lover. The coffee, saffron and passion fruit all front and center in the opening, then the familiar rose and oud comes in. A bit medicinal more than fecal, this stuff is strong nonetheless. Better suited for women IMO, but men feel free to try it out. First with Oud Galore, now Long Kiss Goodnight, Chris Collins excells at producing wearable oud fragrances. 8/10

I don’t even like this scent profile.....spicy roses are not my jam. And yet this is one of the most sexy and captivating scents I’ve put my nose on in quite awhile. The passionfruit adds this gorgeous, tart dimension to the rose, while the saffron and oud add airiness and depth to the coffee and spices. Complex, alluring, wonderfully unisex, and completely timeless. I’m totally in love.

This scent is by far one of my favorites from Chris Collins. It's got an almost chocolate-y smell mixed with coffee, rose and oud. I'm not even the biggest oud fan, but here it cradles the scent really well. I'd definitely buy a sample first though, because it could be a risky blind buy.

Delightful fragrance. Lingers throughout the day and dances around you. A warm, sweet saffron fire.

Even though it turned out not to be my style, Long Kiss Goodnight is a well-crafted fragrance and can’t be neatly categorized. It’s primarily floral but to call it just “floral” doesn’t do it justice. Rose is the loudest note. Coffee, the second loudest, adds an intriguing bitterness to counteract the vanilla, which is noticeable and pretty dry. I consider this a nighttime fragrance, leaning feminine if anything but definitely could be pulled off by anyone.

The peony and coffee gives a wonderful little twist to the classic oud-rose-amber combo. It's incredibly floral, but still a perfect scent for men. I don't get much of the peony, but the little bit I do pick up just blends so well with the rose in here. And the coffee lends some nice smoky, chocolatey touches to it. So while this is still overall yet another take on the oud-rose scent profile, it's one that I think is a little more creative.

such a pretty, musky skin scent! feels like a soft, slightly sweet cloud on the skin- not the greatest longevity, but it does leave a trace of cashmere and soft florals for a while. it's pretty light on the rose and does have a linen-y, soft woods, ambery vibe to it. the coffee note seems to soften out all of the florals, making them a lot more creamy. the saffron is also there, but not overwhelmingly spicy whatsoever. it's nice!

I could've sworn there was sandalwood in this fragrance. Maybe it's the saffron, coffee bean and oud? Who knows? But I like it a lot. It's resinous and earthy, with a big rose and peony heart. The dry down leans heavily towards oud, but the vanilla and amber mellow out the sharpness. Great scent!

This is very nice and I’m not a Rose lover. The Passion Fruit really brings a refreshing moment to my nose. The Oud isn’t strong or overwhelming at all. I don’t detect Coffee at all. I wouldn’t mind a bottle of this in the future.

I have the Chris Collins Discovery set. Wear testing this today. I have never been drawn to rose scents but on paper yesterday LKG smelled so nice I decided to give it a try. Its lovely. Only 5 minutes in. Pleasantly surprised.

Very pretty, an earthy woody rose in a very “wearable” way.

I received a sample of this with a Sephora order. Rose notes aren’t really my cup of tea. The initial spray comes off as a spicy rose (my nose registered patchouli but I guess it’s the saffron?) As it starts to dry down it gives off a rubbery scent on my skin. After an hour or so it settles to a powdery rose. Pleasant if rose is your thing. The sillage and longevity is pretty great. Pretty unisex but maybe feminine leaning.

I am so confused by this note pyramid. My brain sees “rose, coffee, oud” My nose smells actual fruit punch Capri sun. Deeply confusing, but I’m thinking the passion fruit is making this overly tropical. Powdery cabbage patch kids dollhead peony/rose, and fruit punch at the kids table. Unexpected!

On my skin, this is mostly a synthetic oud, flat rose and saffron. No sweet vanilla, no juicy passionfruit, no delicate peony. I have to layer this with something sweet like Vanilla 28 or Mahni Cassonade to enjoy this. Not blind buy safe, definitely try it on skin first!

Mmmm I'm not sure about this one. I can't quite place my finger on it, but there is something stale..like day old McDonald fries????? Random I know...but yeah..it's a no for me dawg 😬

The rose is fresh spicy but only stays for a hot minute then all I smell is oud. I didn’t smell any other notes. It’s nice but definitely more masculine

A nice fragrance that is more rose and passion fruit heavy, with coffee beans, agarwood, and saffron floating wayyyy in the background. There is some oud I get but very subtle. The Rose is the star player as I have noticed in a few other fragrances with this brand. (In the same way Mancera has a heavy Rose note in a variety of their fragrances). I think the drydown is where the show starts and ends. For some, this could be overbearing as one might fine this one very strong, but, linear. I do like it, with the possibility of growing tired and annoyed for that reason. Received this as a sample along with my purchase of AfricanRooibos (By the way, a great fragrance with outstanding performance that is very likeable indeed, so likeable that I purchased a bottle)!

I feel like this is one of those fragrances that either you like it or you don't. I'm getting mostly peony and saffron but there's an amber oud thing going on in the background that makes this intoxicating. However, I'm not a peony fan. But mad props for this formulation. In a way, it is kick-ass.

Fruity and slightly smoky rose and a little bright peony somewhere in between. I do get coffee from it as well but it's the leftover coffee you end up with after using an espresso machine. I'm still not an oud fan; however, this is not difficult to wear at all.

I like it but it reminds me a lot of byredo’s lil fleur, which I already have. Albeit this is much stronger but the resemblance is there. It had a very strong rose and leather; I’m guessing the “leather” I smell comes from the oud

saw this on nordstrom website and im almost positive the location i buy from does not have this fragrance instore to sample so i will blind buy off nordstrom website and give it a go but the notes seem like something i am into

Had a sample of this. My dad fell for it and on him it smelled like portrait of a lady. Will need to revisit but to me definitely close to the smash hit from Malle.

Classy, expensive, luxurious rose. It smells very mature (not in a grandma rose of type).
