Fétiche Le Cuir

On the first spray from the FB I got a powerful almost raw leather-kick, very intensive and borderline skanky.Then the apricot like-Osmanthus started to come through and the mix became sweeter, smoother and slightly spicy, sensual and addictive. I can see a resemblance to ,,Fleur du Mal" from Dries van Noten, a Quentin Bisch- creation, but that one is a more refined and elegant peach-suede combo, while this one is more earthy and sexy.I compared them side by side and decided to buy this one only because of a better price and better projection. I haven`t yet tried,,Peche Mirage" from Guerlain, maybe there is a resemblance too judging by the notes. I recommend this only for lovers of leather notes, it is definitively NOT a safe blind buy!

♥︎ warm like blood rushing to your cheeks in a flush i love it SO simple but not one note idk how to explain it its a Real perfume and it sits like a ghost floats above the skin almost like i'm smelling it radiating from someone right behind me almost spicy with no spice, not so woody or cashmere that it would be saved just for cold/evening, not powdery. not floral. but these notes are there! it settles into near-gourmand territory. there's no way for me to describe this scent without misleading you! truly unisex - very flirty in both feminine and masculine ways. I think anyone would love this scent radiating from someone they liked, ya know? a must try for Real lovers and a very safe blind buy across the board.

Well, I'm no expert. I like some perfumes,.... others not so much. I own Cuir Majeste by Armani and felt like I quenched my leather thirst. I went to purchase oud fetiche by louboutin. While waiting at the counter I sprayed the le cuir and was so suprised. It was soft and beautiful and it felt soo good. I purchased it as well. Now I am not sure which one I adore more, the oud fetiche, or the le cuir. Dazed and confused, I decided to purchase both. Undecided, I even sprayed them both and wore them together. I am enjoying them both together, apart, and immensely.

From the Fetiche discovery set: From the opening I thought the smelt a bit grandma, but now that it's developing it's really starting to grow on me. It's warm, super fruity and super floral, but its not too sweet. I'm not getting any leather in this at all to be honest, maybe just a little? This is the most feminine from the discovery set so far, but it is really nice. Top two are L'Ambre and this one, and they're tied I think. Very very floral and fruity, super pleasant to smell. A bit shampoo like but not too much. Really nice!

If you are a fan of fruity leather fragrances, be sure to try this one. It is a bold, sexy scent that is great for a night out. Compared to Fluer de Mal, Le Cuir is much bolder with a vibrant fruitiness. Fleur de Mal is more subdued and can easily be worn during the daytime for any occasion. Le Cuir also has a sweetness that comes through the longer you wear it. Performance is very good. It last quite long on skin with a nice projection. I think this is the best fruity leather perfume that I have smelled.

a beautiful fragrance with perfect performance. It starts out creamy and kind of a fruity floral vibe with a smooth velvety leather finish. Has a a freshness to it though and doesn’t feel too heavy or animalic despite a nice leather aroma. There is also a nice fuzzy/fizzy vibe here and there which is great. The dry down is really nice too and has similar facets to Ganymede. This has to be my #2 from the fetiche line after La rose.

This fragrance is so sensual and sexy it’s so beautiful everytime I wear this I feel like the most sexiest human walking the earth honestly it’s Leather with fruity florals from the Osmanthus it’s unbelievable this is a masterpiece this was worth every penny I don’t regret anything

Despite the note breakdown, I smell a luxuriously soft, velvety suede, along with some peach tea and musk. It's very elegant and sensual yet has a sheer quality to it that makes it feel very wearable year-round. Although sheer, it has moderate projection and lasting power.

anther addition in my collection from C.L, I accidentally found it while im shopping around in a kinda not good mood, and guess what IT MADE MY DAY. I have realized that I like perfumes that speaks to our souls, in this is one of them. Over all 9/10

It’s very beautiful. Super soft leather not like TF. It’s like a very sweet jam in the table next to a leather bag.

Fresh floral osmanthus bomb with a honeyed apricot flavor. One would expect the natural leathery facet of osmanthus to be leveraged to create a strong leather accord, given the name of the fragrance, but the suede plays second fiddle. It expresses itself in a minor supporting role, a soft backdrop of roughout leather acting as a base. Moderate projection for 2-3hr settles into a modest scent bubble for 5-6hr, longevity 16hr+.

Got a sample of this, and it's nice! Basically a floral leather that reminds me of Halfeti, but not as complex. It has decent longevity and works well as a unisex scent - anyone could wear this. It's a good scent for autumn/winter annd would be great for layering!

I like the bottle design. Can't beat an upturned stiletto or nail polish bottle. Sadly it sounds amazing but smells decidedly underwhelming. It might just be my vegetarian chemistry is not complimentary. Definitely not a blind buy Frag. Strongly synthetic. Frankly cheap and sleazy. Sorry to be so harsh but that's what I smell on my wrist. Synthetic notes. No warmth or depth. It desparately needs resins. Id have labdanum in the base. So sad.

this sits really well on my skin and i can really smell the leather but it dissipates into a faint odour. it's like getting a new leather purse and letting it sit on your dresser in a ray of sun coming in from your window. not really a fan.

I mentioned once that I was open to finding a good leather scent, and I was told about this one shortly after from 3 people. I ordered a sample a while back, tried it, didn't care for it, didn't want to be rude or dismissive (so I held off on reviewing), and figured it might be a fluke, so I've waited until now to attempt another trial. I wish I liked it, and I appreciate what Louboutin is doing here, but I might just simply not be a leather person (where fragrance is concerned, I love actual leather). Oh well. Time to accept it. I love the rest of this though, funnily enough! I adore the orangey/apricot osmanthus and clean laundry musk. Are there other acetates in here? It's as if I get a whiff of apple sometimes as a ghost note. It's nice. I just wish the suede/leather wasn't here. Which of course, is the entire premise of this scent. If you're looking for a beautiful, soft, slightly fruity leather, this is for you. It's objectively quite nice, but it's not my thing.

Perfumey fruity leather. Tinge of vomit underneath. It’s just got that cheap designer perfume profile a lot of department store perfumes have. Cheap designer is perhaps an oxymoron, but price point does not equal quality. It smells like a person trying to come across as classy and expensive, a “look at me” wearing some LV bag. Worse on dry down, ambroxan bomb emerges with hefty hospital smell. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about this one. Tell me why I could predict it was going to be perfumey ambroxan from looking at the pokey bottles alone.

What is in this scent that burns my nose? is it another megadose of ambroxan? ambrofix? amberwood? please just stop it. Back off! I am tired of sampling/trying/buying new scents to find the same monster again and again! Can we go back in time when perfumes were truly enjoyable? The scent is a fruity leather with aggressive harsh feeling of aromachemicals. Nothing to rave about unless you are another paid influencer with no ethics or nose! Not something I can wear.

As far as I understand, the full pyramid is: Top notes: Mandarin, Peach, Pink pepper Middle: Ylang-ylang, Osmanthus, Jasmine Base: Leather, Amber, Labdanum The bottle is finally mine 🥰 The fragrance, dare I say, is sensual! I can see it working equally well for both women and men. The leather note in the scent is very soft, almost velvety. The fruity aspect is also quite pronounced, as if fruits were rubbed into suede leather. I can also distinctly pick up osmanthus, especially as the fragrance settles into its base, giving off an apricot-like creaminess. Just one spray leaves a trail that fills the whole room 💪🏻 It slightly echoes Diptyque’s Eau Rihla, they share a similar vibe, but Le Cuir is softer.

I loooove complex scents...but the way this is complex kind of reminds me of the way the general perfume areas at department stores used to smell in the eighties: it kind of hits you over the head in a numbing, blinding, designer kind of way. I like it, sort of, in the same way I like shoulder pads. They’re really better in the teeniest of applications—and don’t they make everybody look alike? There is something to be mentioned about the bottle, which I’m sure a lot of marketing went into, because it’s Loubouton (love the shoes). It’s ridiculous. More to the point, it makes storage challenging. Perfumes should be kept in the dark, of course, and this monstrosity doesn’t fit anywhere.

Ordered a free sample of this off Instagram which arrived today, very intrigued to try it. EDIT: tried the sample and OMG this is a stunning scent. Very deep and rich, if you like leather this is right up your alley. The fruit notes really come through but the leather absolutely holds up and gives it depth, but strikes a good balance between not too masculine or feminine (which is what you'd want from a unisex fragrance). As an introduction to CL perfumes this has left a very good impression on me, and reassures me that the brand isn't just style over substance, as the flanker is stunning too.

I got a free sample off Facebook. It's ok, kinda peppery and sweet but then I must go noseblind coz I can't smell anything anymore. I'll have to come back to it. I can sort of smell the leather but it's faint. Edit I must have gone noseblind coz now I can smell it again and it's very powdery but spicy. Kinda reminds me of Halfeti. I can really smell the suede now. It smells like a peppery, suede shoe 😂 but it's quite nice. There's some sort of fruity floral scent in the background. Unisex. Unusual but at the same time I feel like I've smelled it before.

I don’t get powdery from this and usually I am very sensitive to powdery scents. It starts off very leathery at first but give it time to settle! This is a very well-balanced perfume. After just a few min, the scent profile changes entirely. I get some whiffs of pink pepper and even a hint of fruitiness. If you’re looking for a perfume that is spicy, fruity, floral, AND woody/leathery, this is it. This is a close to skin smell as I don’t get much projection or sillage but I also didn’t overspray.

I didn't care for this one at all sadly. Not a smooth blend imo. The suede and leather notes are super prominent, it smells like a leather purse which to me isn’t a good thing. The osmanthus note with the suede and leather mixing together makes for a wierd fruity leather hand bag to me lol. It’s also a little spicy which throws me off too. You REALLY must enjoy leather in fragrances to enjoy this, I don’t so I’m not surprised I didn’t enjoy it. I also found it to be very mature.

I generally don't like leather in fragrances. Ths would never have been on my radar if I hadn't received a random sample with a purchase. I didn't know leather could be done like this! I like it. Fruity and raw leather. Not the smoky tanned leather I usually dislike. This has a certain freshness to it that makes it wearable even for someone who's not usually into leathers. Very long lasting.

@fragrrram Actually they are not coming with extra caps anymore and I'm not sure why? Maybe a limited time thing? Maybe only when ordering directly from LV? I have no idea but ya they aren't coming with the extra caps, unfortunately.

@EtherM: FYI, the bottle comes with a regular cap as well, so you can store it wherever you want. If you had it, you would probably know it, so you don't have it but still comment on it. Great job.

I wanted to love this sooooo bad but i'm disappointed 😭😭 This is not the leather note I wanted to smell. I couldn't make a comparison with any perfume but i didn't like it

This is so similar to bibliotheque from byredo! I like it. It's a sensual evening / cool weather fragrance

The sexiest out of the range- really beautiful blend, feminine leather... on my wish list straight up.
