Iris d'Orient

Robustly rounded candied iris, and the strong sweet chassis is resistant enough to keep it motoring away for a very respectable 8-9h if the mood pleases. Not powdery-sugary - the sweetness is more syrupy, all unctuous and curvy without cloying. Very much to my taste (for staying clear of too much violet-sherbet sort of sweetness), especially as the spiciness is doled out with a really controlled and clever hand - the slight prickliness and roughness of cassis, pink pepper and cypriol mean it doesn't get intolerably cute. Not cheap, but the smoothness and comfort of the ride - not to mention its staying power - do justify the fare.

I'm such a sucker for these kinds of sweet violety/irisy perfumes right now. Candied violet, syrupy, buttery, round, fluffy, soft, makeupy, somehow still fresh, lovely. Just so comforting during this rainy spring. I'm missing fragrances like this in my collection, so every time I come across one in a sample, I'm so happy and cozy. Simultaneously surprising and familiar.

Jul 7, 2021. I have so many mix feelings with this perfume. I do love the DNA, it’s a brilliant take on Iris and smell wonderful but I want more . I want this to be intense, thicker, louder and then I want to bath in this. On the other hand. Perfectly unisex, spring and fall nights or romantic settings.

An excellent iris fragrance. The opening was amazing. Unfortunately i tried it on 2 different people and could not smell it after 2 hours. On paper it lasted 24 hours. But on skin it was not a good performer.

If your a lover of great Iris unisex sents this is great quality with amazing sent profile and longevity. Hard to get in the US but worth the price.
