Ceremony

Ceremony begins as a beautiful day in an orchard where the cherry blossoms are lightly blowing in the breeze...the breeze also sends whispy clouds of the tea before you to your nose, and the lotus flowers nearby. Completely filling your senses with a calming peaceful feeling. There is also a slightly earthy note that sits very lightly in the mix, I'm assuming from the mushroom note, and the conifer note adds just a hint of a turpenic quality that I love very much. What an absolute delight Ceremony is! I love it! Now, I must confess that there is no cherry blossom note listed, but I definitely get a hint of it just in the very opening spray that makes me smile. Another excellent fragrance from our friend Mark Sage to add to his growing list of hits! I will wear the heck out of this one! Thank you Mark... An update to the notes. In the far dry down Ceremony becomes a tea and woods fragrance with a slight floral hint. Very nice indeed...

Great fragrance that feels like a garden wedding. The green tea and mushrooms give an ozonic almost petrichor effect anchors the parade of scents, initially an orange note, followed by sweet fruit note, and sent of with the gentle scent of lotus flowers. The longevity is great, but exist as a skin scent for most of the wear (~7hrs).

A Masterpiece by Mark Sage. Ceremony smells like the name, it smells like you're at a wedding ceremony. Definitely can be worn as an everyday fresh smell. I get compliments consistently with this. Only issue I have with it is longevity and silage.

This is a breath of fresh, outdoor atmosphere. There is a stream of natural running water nearby. Perhaps I am standing in a clearing near a forest, because there is a faint whiff of mushroom that I always appreciate in a composition. This clearing is unsullied by the touch of man and there is a thriving mycelial network beneath my feet. I am merely a visitor here, and I am in awe kneeling at the feet of nature. I was immediately taken aback when I sprayed Ceremony because it is SUCH a realistic and breathtaking atmospheric. “Fruits” as a note always gives me pause, but there is nothing juvenile or synthetic about this. I should’ve known better; Mark Sage has recently rocketed to second or third in my list of favorite perfumers. Bravo!

Now this, this right here is a beautiful tea based fragrance. Absolutely lovely. My favorite tea scent. Unfortunately the longevity and sillage are subpar. Certainly ridiculous for the price. 180 for 50ml or ~300 for 100ml. Yes, niche is great. And expensive at times. There is no doubt it is a labor of love and worth additional costs. Things are worth what the buyer will pay for it. This is worth it to some, just not for me. If it had insane longevity and sillage, I would certainly be close to buying a small bottle just to have. Really great. The tea jumps out, nice bright citrus. Fresh and certainly can be a daily grab.
