Dolce Sicilia

I'm smelling a lot of candied fruits, a very true-to-life with hints of fresh and oily citrus in the opening. Reminds me of candied oranges and lemon. Very similar to stepping into a bakery. There's a lot going on but all harmonises around the candied fruits. I get small hints of almond and bergamot, I get a bit of a lactonic background, I smell something similar to oat-biscuits, but it all centers around candied fruits It's not sickening or thick, it has enough freshness and sourness in the fruit and grainy biscuitty notes to avoid becoming an overwhelming experience. I do get somewhat of a weird musky/damp-room smell from it, but when I go closer, it feels like that smell fades away. As the opening fades away, it settles a bit more on that lactonic note with a mild vanilla background and I'm getting this smell that is so hard to describe... caramelizing sugar, ricotta cheese, oat, vanilla, fry-oil, the assortment of various pastries from a bakery and the floors having been mopped every day for 50 years using the same lemon and tuberose soap. almonds, slight citrus-bitterness. Doesn't last as long as I'd expect a sweet fragrance like this would. It doesn't feel like there's much of an ending, so it's mainly top and mid, and then the basenotes don't really punch through. I do get a vanilla/almond 'whiff' closer to my skin, but without much presence.

This is an incredible gourmand. By looking at the notes you'd think it would be a cloying and over powering mess, but I promise it's not. There's actually something quite delicate about this and I wouldn't classify it as being overly 'edible'. Yes you'll smell like a snack, but make it chic too.

This smells amazing, I don't know why but to my nose I smell creamy rice pudding with cinnamon on top. This is stunning.

An interesting scent. On first impression I mostly get the ricotta and cannoli notes. It’s a nice scent, but for me it’s currently a bit nauseating. It is still a bit soon for me to be judging it, so I’ll test it for longer and update this if my view changes.

Incredible photorealistic candied fruits and almond delicacies with a good grounding base; impressed at how incredibly realistic a fragrance can be. This is like the forbidden banquet from the movie Pan’s Labyrinth... you’re on a quest for something else and might not care for realistic gourmands, but this is too good to stop yourself. You falter and dive into this delectable and very wearable scent with no regrets, and you’re amazed at how realistic but still wearable it is. It’s so well done without being too sweet, which means there must be some unlisted high quality musk keeping everything in beautiful harmony. Such an experience this scent, I want to try more from this brand. I love almond scents but I really dislike too super sweet cake gourmands! So if you’re like me, PLEASE GIVE THIS FRAGRANCE A CHANCE, it’s so wonderfully made that it feels more like a classy, sweet cozy musk than an actual mishmash of sweets, so contradicting to say because of how realistic it smells, but trust!
