Clean Classic Warm Cotton

The opening is awfully sharp, biting, and synthetic, but give it about 10 minutes and it warms down into the scent of clean laundry being tumbled in the dryer. Like the hot air that comes out of the dryer exhaust vent. You don’t need to spray much or else you will choke yourself out. Edit 07/3/26: I went from liking to loving this because it’s the perfect scent in this heat wave! Used this as part of my evening shower layering routine with EOS Fresh & Cozy’s entire bath & body line, Orena ‘s body oil dupe of Replica Bubble Bath, a perfume oil dupe of Love-O-Matic, and 11:11 and it’s such a clean , cozy, and fresh combo! Add to that my freshly laundered cotton pjs and cotton sheets and I’m in a heavenly cozy scent cloud of freshness.

I bought this recently because I like clean scents and especially such that represent a feeling. This precisely describes the feeling when you open your washing machine and gather the laundry. To me it is fresh, clean (obviously), warm and somehow cozy scent, invoking good memories and good mood. Because I love the smell of the fresh laundry. For people that don't, I guess this wouldn't work. It is very long lasting on me, more than 7 hours. There is nothing 'perfumery' in this perfume. It is just the smell of fresh and clean laundry. It can cause a headache though because it's so linear and somehow intoxicating. I am wondering if I would buy it again at some point in the future but it is hard to say. That's it.

After receiving a sample of this and loving it at first spray, I got a bottle of this at the beginning of januari. I adore this. It smells almost sterile, like very, very clean linen sheets, or a cleaning spray of some sorts. This is especially what I was looking for. This helps me feel clean and put together on days where I just cannot feel decent. I love it. The only remark I have about it is the name: I personally find this fragrance smells 'cold'. The name with 'warm' in it makes it appear as though it is going to be a more cuddly clean scent, while to me, this scent is clean but in a cold, distant, sterile way. This could just be me and my interpretation though!

this one by clean is such a winner to me. this scent does exactly what it tells you it will. it smells like warm sheets fresh from the dryer on a cool day, lying down to read a book and the scent of the washing detergent and the warmth congregate to lull you into an accidental slumber, but you don't regret it when you wake up. you feel well rested, and you smell like clean sheets. real longevity on this one skin-wise but i also highly recommend giving your outfit of the day a light spritz with this before you get dressed. give it some time to settle in and put on your fragrance of choice on the skin before getting dressed, you'll be golden.

Clean, soapy, slightly citrusy and glistening with aldehydes. I've been on the hunt for a fragrance that replicates clean laundry, and so far I've tried Blanche by Byredo, Lazy Sunday Morning by Maison Margiela, and 724 by MFK. Clean Classic Warm Cotton is by far the most accurate fragrance in terms of this scent profile. It's exactly what I've been looking for, nothing more and nothing less. I still want to try The Muse, but I'm quite satisfied with Warm Cotton. The price on Amazon, as well as accessibility, makes for a great deal. It's not fancy, or mind-blowing, but it does what it's supposed to.

This is my favorite among the clean line, straight up clean laundry detergent upon spraying, as it dries down it evokes a pleasant memory of freshly washed sundried sheets. Matches my way of dressing which is usually a white button down oxford shirt and blue jeans, i mix this with a light spray of bath and body works saltwater breeze body mist, the combo makes me smell fresh all day and the body mist adds a little aquatic sweetness to the mix. Although use warm cotton alone when i'm working with clients (im a makeup artist) and this scent is perfect for clients with sensitive noses.

Classic Clean is the original Warm Cotton in a newer bottle. At first spray a sharp citrus with sudsy warm water hits my nose. Then a breezy scent of the ocean emerges and expands, reminding me of freshly washed beach towels slowly drying in the sun. It leaves a clean warm scent on both skin and fabric that lasts all day. Totally unisex, this refreshing scent is non offensive and easily wearable for anyone of any age, any time of year. This Warm Cotton and its counterpart Cool Cotton work very well when sprayed into shoes to make them smell clean and fresh, too.

I went to the perfumeria some two weeks ago and sniffed though all their Clean perfumes, l think l can collect all of them, but this day l came home with this little, stunningly good beauty! These Clean perfumes have always been on my radar, but l dont know how they managed to get lost in my odd space, or, proably because l bought this perfume as a pressie to a very special woman some 12 y ago... Nevermind, at last it's mine, and it smells as wondeful as you other loving fans describe it, and it is def a COWABONGA good perfume!

Smells like laundry detergent and I love it. To be more specific, the scent reminds me of when you take your clothes out of the dryer: warm and soft with a lovely detergent and fabric softener smell. The longevity is great, which was unexpected. Therefore, one should be careful not overspraying this. The citrus and verbena can be overpowering if you spray too many times.

Smells just like fresh lemon cleaner or Gain laundry detergent. I personally LOVE that smell but I could see how a lot of people wouldn’t like that and expect a more abstract scent. I hope they never discontinue this because it is the one scent I’ve found that actually smells like detergent or dish soap and it’s my favorite scent in the world.

beautiful perfume. I adore the smell of fresh laundry and cleaning supplies and this smells just like that. from the bottle is has strong citrus and soapy kinda of scent but dries down very warm on the skin. The best way to describe this perfume is a laundry room with a plethora of cleaning supplies and fresh load of laundry out of the dryer.

I love this and the reserve version. Smells like laundry detergent. In my opinion, as opposed to the reserve version, which is smoother, you can smell the citrus a little more however on the cool down, they typically smell the same but a little sharper with this version.

Absolutely smells like nice breezy fresh detergent. I always liked detergent scents. Is the only profile I can tolerate on other people when they walk by because I think they are wearing freshly laundered clothing instead of perfume.

mmmmmm. the cleanest, coldest, cotton balliest, freshest laundry scent ever. loveeeee. i prefer to spray it on my clothes rather than my skin tho. it's like huffing a freshly washed towel that's been drying outside on a sunny day.

This one celebrates my 200th review on this website. Yay!! Totally agreed with @matchanincense below. I get no 'warmth' from this fragrance. All I get is lemony citrus and a hint of sea salt. It is admittedly pleasant, though the first spray is very sharp and chemical. Yes, it does remind me of laundry detergent, but I like laundry detergents anyway so I can wear this one without issues. Despite that, I don't think I'll be getting a bottle of this one. (I've got a 2ml sample with me here.) It reminds me a bit too much of the moist underground laundry room at International Hall (where I stayed during my masters studies) at Russel Square, London. That room smelt like this all the time. I don't know which season this would fit. It's lemon-scented laundry detergent so I suppose it's all seasons because everyone uses detergents all year round. I have a lot of citrus scents but this one is not a dupe of anything that I own currently. It is strong, mind you. I was able to fill the living room wearing four sprays from another room and walk in here. Regarding price, it's not the best, but not the worst, either. Whilst I understand the ethics of Clean fragrances, I guess I would still say it is overpriced by a little. It's not natural (as laundry detergents aren't) and you have to pay about $45 for a 30ml bottle. The design of the bottle won't win any awards and the same goes for the packaging. I sort of expect more, to be honest, but hey, at least, it does smell clean! Edit: I think it smells somewhat similar to John Varvatos Artisan Blu, though that one is not as sharp or pungent. I prefer Artisan Blu to this one. Clean Warm Cotton lasts 5 hours on me.

if im honest i was disappointed with this at first- i smelled it in store as a fantastic fresh linen scent, bought a travel size and found out it dried down to be very aquatic/marine, a scent type i generally hate (a lot of beaches in my area growing up were covered in rotting seaweed and i now i cant smell the ocean without associating the two. if youve smelled it you understand💀). i was resigned to find a new laundry scent, but then a few weeks later i got a bottle for my birthday! going into retesting the scent with the idea that i hated it kind of made it seem better than i remembered. i think the shock made the marine notes stand out to me more initially, but now after wearing it i think theyre subtle enough that it just brings a refreshing feel to the fragrance, and not much else (thank goodness). it is something i have to be in the mood for, but its grown on me quite a bit! definitely suited for warm weather and although it does wear off pretty fast ultimately i think its great

Very very clean fragrance that smells just like laundry detergent. It kind of reminds me of the first fresh waft you get when opening your hotel room door for the first time. I wouldn’t be too worried about the initial spray on- it can be overwhelming - because it dries down nicely. I definitely agree that it can be quite sterile, but I also do like how clean that makes it feel. It’s very cotton heavy but it also kind of dried down to an almost sunscreen smell on me. I think this could also be a nice room spray too! Nice fragrance overall.

sprayed some on, obviously first noticed the scent of laundry detergent. let it settle for one minute, smelt it again and i definitely picked up on the citrus top notes! super refreshing, but in a cozy way? i let it warm up for a couple hours, i'm not sure if i'm picking up on any fruits, there's definitely a teensy bit of an aquatic quality to it. otherwise it's a cozy, extremely clean, and definite spring-time scent. this smells just like freshly-washed sheets!

The first 30 seconds are extra citrusy, harsh and screechy, but it very quickly mellows down to a soft and warm detergent-like scent that is very comforting and kind of makes you feel safe. Projection and longevity are surprisingly good, almost too strong in my opinion. As it will remind most people of detergent, putting on too much will trigger people to react to it, which is not necessarily the goal here.

Smells like fresh clean laundry. Nice inoffensive scent. I really liked using it when I was doing my teacher training because it's so intimate that it doesn't really bother anyone but still gave me that fresh and clean feeling. Longevity isn't the best (around 2-4 hours for me) but I own the rollerball version so reapplying during the day isn't a problem for me.

I love this so much. It smells like clean laundry but in a comforting kind of way, not in a chemical way. I don't normally enjoy lemony/orangy/aquatic fragrances, but this one it's so soft and soothing. You will smell fresh and put together + the sillage & performance it's good. Also - completely unisex, my boyfriend and me like to use this after showering.

I get ZERO citrus from this. It smells like laundry detergent, but in a good way. The opening is a little harsh, but on me, it dries down to a warm and cozy scent. I must say, however, that I find it both smells and lasts better on clothes than on skin. At least on my skin, the drydown reminds me a little too much of a chlorinated pool.

I bought this to use as a room/bed spray to keep my apartment smelling fresh. It smells like wet clothes that were just washed with about half a jug of very strong laundry detergent. It is very very strong and can be headache inducing so he careful if you are prone to that. But overall, it does smell very fresh and clean.

If you like the smell of laundry fabric softeners/washing powder then this is for you. It projects lot more than Rain or Skin. So if you are after fresh laundry smell on you I can recommend this one.

It reminds me of whatever product my mom used to iron my school uniform. Yes, it smells like detergent, but sometimes you need to smell like you have your life together and finally did your laundry.

Freshly washed white bath towels with a tad too much detergent :') I like this, maybe could be a bit less soapy though. But definitely clean and fresh perfume, that's for sure!

This smells like walking into a self-service laundromat with every customer busily pouring in detergent onto the machine and simultaneously putting it into wash/spin mode. I've never smelled any fresh laundry fragrance this straightforward. It's so "in-your-face laundry day". It's called "warm cotton" but I'm honestly not getting much warmth. Just pure clean, lemony detergent. If you like that, good for you. But if you want more dimension to your fresh laundry fragrance, you might wanna layer this with something floral or warm (I might layer this with some sweet florals just to tone down the harshness). Or try other fresh soap fragrances like Maison Margiela's Bubble Bath or Lazy Sunday Morning. ---Oh, another thing this reminds me of: That lemon-scented dish soap paste in a tub my mother used to buy when I was a child. I think it was Ajax? O_o

There has been a change because this is now a BEAST MODE freshy that is ready to stay with you until the day is over! So... I purchased this several years ago and returned it because although it was exactly what I was looking for as far as scent profile, it did not preform well. I couldn’t even justify spending 20 dollars on a perfume that does not last. Interestingly enough, here we are today. Lol After the heat started to rise, I began to crave a clean smell. Specifically, I wanted for the clean aroma from my shower, creams and freshly washed clothes to get a boost! Clean Warm Cotton does it for me! It lasts ALL DAY. It’s STRONG, SHARP, and THE CLEAN BEAST. Lol Have you ever walked past someone’s home or establishment and immediately knew that they were doing laundry because of the fabric softener and detergent smell in the air? That’s what this provides. You need this!

I agree with what someone else below said, on the dry down it smells like when you open the dryer and the hot air wafts in your face and also smells like sunscreen??? The initial spray I did not like. It's like I could smell the warm cotton but there was a sharp tangy smell mixed with it that I found unpleasant. I thinks the sea notes? But it's much better on the dry down. Although I did wash my arm so it wasn't so strong...I think its safe to say this one isn't for me.Yes it does smell like clean laundry but not in a way I find cozy, this smells sterile in a way that makes you sneeze

Exactly what @riclovesscents said. This got this dishwasher lemony smell that I thought I’d like but don’t. It smells more like a dishwashing soap then laundry detergent which wasn’t what I was looking for. Nevertheless it smells pretty nice for smth decently priced but its pretty boring as all your getting is that lemon and nothing more. My search for the perfect laundry smell continues.

I used to love this and get compliments on it. There is also a shampoo and shower gel from Ida warg that smells exactly like it. But now I associate the scent with my ex and my past as he loved it too. Also I find it a little screechy nowadays. My boyfriend now hates soapy scents so I doubt he’d like this so I dont think this is a man eater scent lmfao. Just making that clear. 😂

For literally anyone who just wants to smell like clean laundry. Not very solar like other clean scents I’ve smelled. By solar I think of the scent you get from sun dried on a clothes line after washing, this is just like I have good laundry detergent. Very basic would t buy a perfume for this just maybe a clothes spray.

I initially did not care for this because it has a strong citrus opening. It smells very synthetic and like cleaning solution at first. However, when it fades, I do get a nice soft cotton, clean laundry smell. I wear this to work since I personally get low projection with this. It also doesn't last very long on me.

Smells like laundry detergent. Starts very like synthetic citrus. It lasts a long time, and the sillage smells good. Smells sharp, not skin-like on the spray, but on the dry down it's better. Makes you smell like fresh lemony laundry, but definitely not warm.

I am so grateful for this community. I thought it smelled fine, but then I kept reading that so many people thought it smelled like wet dog, and then I couldn't stop smelling wet dog. Thank you for keeping me from smelling like a wet dog.

Smells exactly like fabric softener with no other nuance. A little too literal. Not into it as a standalone but I mix with other "fresh" fragrances. Pairs well with Clean Skin and oddly enough my DKNY Delicious

Reminds me of taking white cotton sheets out of the dryer after washing them in Tide and tumble drying them with cotton-scented dryer sheets. Very clean laundry accord, but fairly generic. 5/10.
