Pure Soap

I love this! Photorealistic bar soap 🧼 To me it reminds me more of baby bar soap from Johnson&Johnson than the Dove beauty bar one. Maybe mix of them both. It smells extremely clean. It gives you that creaminess that bar soap gives you when it foams and at the same time that typical powderiness that bar soaps carries. For what it is I would say performance is pretty decent. But i do think if I spray too much it probably could give me a headache. You can wear this all years round. It’s absolutely unisex. You can wear this to work, school, bed, running errands it’s extremely comfortable you can literally wear it anywhere you want and you will never feel like it would annoy someone. Age wise as I said this smells to me like photorealistic baby bar soap mixed with Dove beauty bar so literally babies can wear this, teenagers, younger people, older people absolutely anyone can wear this! To me personally it gives me vibes of early 2000’s. This is so funny but all we had on tv when I was little in my country those times were telenovelas and to be specific to me this is like I would imagine all of those beautiful actresses would smell like. LOL 😆 To me this is a huge compliment to this fragrance. I don’t think this information was very helpful for anyone but it is my honest take on this perfume. One of the best clean soapy scents I have tried so far!

Oh my God its gorgeous!!! I knew I would love this, why is it in such a small volume? 30mls is stupid and pointless it will last 12 seconds round me! I can't find 60mls anywhere that doesn't want a mortgage for postage and I'm in love with this perfume its really hard to find in the uk too what is up with that? Where does this originate from, who makes it? I need 100mls asap this tiny bottle looks so sad and little like a minature round my 100ml bottles and it has as much personality as some of the big names in perfume. I'm a soapy beast perfume addict, a total soap whore, I want to bathe in this stuff spray it everywhere and lay in a clean freshly changed bed rolling about smelling myself. What perfume does this layer well with? I'm thinking ill try it with Boucheron Pour Femme as l think it will enhance the soapy beast mode already in that perfume to levels that will blow my nose clean off my face. I'm here for it. l havent worn it out of the house yet so l need to see how long it lasts on my skin and what people say about it but right now based on first smell and sprays on me I'm giving this a 10/10 because l love soap. Update worn it a couple of times now, and of course drowned myself in it, (my standard perfuming behaviour) it disappears quickly, l cant smell it anymore after 3 hours. On that basis it's an 8.5/10.

The perfect soap scent. Smells exactly like a bar of Dove soap. I use several other Dove products that smell similar/the same, and if I pair everything together I smell like a walking bar of Dove soap. Great if you still want a spritz of something clean but work in places that don’t allow fragrances. I’ve been wearing this for years and it always makes me feel very clean and put together. Imo this is the ultimate clean girl fragrance - because it doesn’t smell like a perfume. There is something very alluring about someone who “unintentionally” smells good. This is not going to be for everyone, but if you want to smell like you just showered, this is for you.

I still haven't decided whether I like this or not as this to me sort of does and doesn't smell like soap. Here's the thing. It does smell like a soap if you know the name of the perfume, it doesn't if you dont. If you pass by someone who wears this perfume, the aura itself is flowery. White flowers specifically, but not entirely or almost at all, a Castille soap. If you smell it directly off the skin then it starts to resemble a bar of soap. But then again not a traditional bar of soap, not generic soap. Like when you have classic bar of soap and then different variations with different smells. This is a variation of the original one.

So this is a layering fragrance for me. Layer this with ANY fresh/clean/ floral fragrance and you'll create something magical. Put this on FIRST and then layer it with another perfume. This smells like it's name. Pure Soap. Nothing else. It's like washing yourself with a plain bar of soap. You'll smell clinically clean. On it's own it's ok but layerd its a 10/10. A tip. This layerd with jimmy choo floral is out of this world.

This smells like pure soap. A white bar of soap. It's a nice scent, but a bit screechy when I first sprayed it. After a minute, it does smell a bit softer and way better. The longevity and sillage are not the best. This is not a loud fragrance. It is discreet and perfect for those days when you want to smell clean. Pure Soap is one of my favorite clean and soapy scents.

In the best way possible it literally smells like a bar of soap. A modern day unisex soap scent for everyday. Easily can be worn at work or being cozy at home. Perfect for summer days when you wanna smell fresh and clean. Longevity is poor on my skin and price is decent. Overall i like it and might repurchase again.

A lot of people say this just smells like a basic white soap... And they're not wrong but I absolutely love it. I find the scent very nostalgic. It brings me back to my childhood in the best way. If you like soapy perfumes and aren't too pretentious in your tastes, you'll probably like this.

This smells exactly like white soap. I love this. I am a soapy fragrance fanatic. My favorite is Milano Fragranze: Naviglio. The 2006 version of Prada Amber Pour Homme was the goat but it got reformulated. This is a far less luxurious version of Naviglio. For the price this is crazy.

On days that you want to smell squeaky clean after a shower, then purchase Pure Soap. To me this smells like a dove soap that lathers well, it stays on long and can be worn throughout the seasons. Spraying too much can make it cloying or trigger a headache from the aldehyde note.

Soap in a soothing and comforting way. Clean fresh and snuggly. I love this and its wearable for when youre in your pj getting ready for a movie night at home. Love this just for myself. Silage and longevity is intimate and average. Leaning towards the feminine

Arrived today. I confirm what everyone else is saying in that it smells like a bar of white soap. The way I'm going to wear this one is on my t-shirt beneath my shirt or jumper then I'll apply whatever fragrance I'll be using on my skin in the usual places.

Clean bar of soap. Not an old bar of soap or a lavender scent soap this is an original bar of Dove. Shower clean smell and highly recommend as sometimes you just want nothing complicated and smell soap clean all day.

This is the easiest go-to fragrance. It simply smells like a good shower with Dove soap. On those days that you just want to smell good and not super perfumey, this is your girl.

First Impressions (small bottle): Got this one on the Black Friday sale for 30 bucks for 1 oz on Amazon. I have to say this smells so good, and comforting. I would say that the title is very accurate. It’s a creamy soap smell. I usually buy the original scented dove soap, but doesn’t necessarily smell like that soap. I bought different types of soaps, but if I can recall it smells like the Ivory brand soap... possibly? Unlike the warm cotton reserve blend, this doesn’t have a metallic smell to it that I hated. I will enjoy this perfume for the gym, and possibly buy a bigger bottle since it’s that good. This perfume is perfect for someone who is working in a field where they don’t want to offend anyone, nursing, etc. UPDATE: THIS IS SOOO SLEPT ON trust me when I say pairing it with another soapy/clean perfume is so good. Hear me out: Prada L’homme + this = signature worthy. I can see myself wearing this for nighttime as well as to the gym. It’s so versatile. I do wish it lasted longer. I just bought a bigger bottle of this, and I’m gonna spray it then let it mascerate so hopefully it can be stronger. I noticed by the end of the little bottle I had it kind of smelled stronger. Edit: 07/10/23 Yep still in love with this. Bought a bigger bottle of this & I’m letting it mascerate. It’s does give me 2000’s vibes, but it doesn’t smell dated. Unlike Oxygene lanvin. Verdict: Full bottle worthy <3. I have a big bottle of it now. You can get these cheaper at discount websites. Edit: Okay now that I have a full bottle of this one, honestly I’m kind of getting tired of it. I think by itself it’s fine. However, I think I need more of an oomph. I also think the aldehydes do give me white diamond vibes. Edit 2: Yeah, I think this is a good bed time scent for me. However, in the gym that musk is too much of a musk if that makes sense. Whereas, I’ve grown more found of clean reserve warm cotton more. This one also smells kinda like dettol on the skin for me. Warm cotton is like a Swiss Army knife where I can put it on my bed to sleep, put it on my clothes to smell fresh, put it on my self for the gym (a little bit down drown yourself in it). Edit 3: Ugh this is so hard to pick. I’ve been sniffing and comparing which perfumes want to make me sleep vs before the gym scents: Nia cacharel. Clean pure soap Clean warm cotton It’s honestly so difficult to choose. Edit 4: I compared this to other ones and I gotta say I’m gonna use this as a bed spray not as a perfume to go out prepay. It’s very comforting to me.

Blind purchase, with no expectations. And perhaps that is exactly why I cannot say these perfumes thrilled me — but I also cannot call them a disappointment. It is a pleasant, delicate scent, truly purely soapy. Many people talk about a soap accord in perfumery, but it’s worth remembering that soap itself can have dozens of faces. Here I smell a classic, creamy soap straight from the 1990s — exactly the kind my grandmother used. Nostalgic, familiar, wrapped in childhood memories. The scent absolutely does not bother me. Is this my dream “soap in a bottle”? Probably not. But in summer, from time to time, I will gladly spray it to bring my mind back to those carefree moments at my grandma’s. The first notes after application strike quite strongly, surprisingly intense for such a simple concept. But then everything settles down, calms like the sea after a storm — and what remains is a subtle, clean, very pleasant scent. On my skin, it lasts for a maximum of half an hour, but I didn’t have high demands for its longevity. Besides, most perfumes do not last long on me anyway, or I simply choose those with weaker staying power. The projection is intimate, almost close to the skin, but that actually suits this minimalist, fresh composition. I don’t know if I will go for another bottle. On one hand, the low price tempts me to just keep it on hand for those nostalgic moments — on the other, I don’t see it as my everyday scent or signature scent. It is simply a pleasant, clean, soapy perfume that can bring back memories. My search for the perfect scent of cleanliness is still not over. I dream of the smell of fresh laundry, the perfect soap or detergent that would fully soothe my obsessive, freshness-hungry mind. But for now — this is a nice, brief memory of childhood, locked in a minimalist bottle.

So alot of people who had this says it smells like Dove Soap, I think because of the musky quality of it, but Dove Soap is alot stronger smelling than this one. It is true to its name it does smell like soap like a free bar of soap from a premium hotel (not luxury) it is a soft, calming smell and clean, like you just showered and you can smell the soap from your wet skin, this is best for daytime for all seasons actually, because its really clean and this is not even overpowering the dry down is clean powdery but not irritating to the nose, it’s kinda floral like yellow or pink florals, very calming and faint, also don’t expect it to be long lasting.

I don't like aldehydes. They are screechy and annoying on my skin. However, having been gifted this, I was open minded. It is truly pretty. Linear, clean, soapy in a classic white-bar-of-soap sort of way. What impressed me is the sillage and longevity. This isn't the typical fresh fragrance that disappears in moments-- a couple sprays on me does the trick and sticks around. I see this being suitable for late spring, warm day, windows open, birds singing as one gets ready to go for a jog in the park.

Yep, it smells exactly like ivory soap. I even get a ‘warm water’ kind of aroma with it on my skin. If you’re looking to smell like you’ve just washed yourself down with a bar of soap, nothing more and nothing less, this is the one for you. I like having it on hand for when I don’t exactly want to smell like I’m wearing perfume, but do want to smell extra clean and fresh all day. It’s my favorite in the clean classic line.

The name is spot-on: this literally smells like a soap bar! Specifically a classic Dove beauty cream bar. I'd say it's 80% identical to that, with an added pretty perfume-like radiant roundness that smooths out some of Dove's sharpness. You'll have to like the scent of Dove soap to enjoy this one. Leans feminine, but wouldn't smell out of place on a guy at all.

I wouldn’t say this smells like soap, per se. It’s too floral. It is very clean and pretty tho. Definite clean girl vibes. I like this one a lot. I can see using this one right out of the shower and right before bed. Smells VERY MUCH like BBW Sea Island Cotton (Shore). If you’re a fan of that one, you’ll love Pure Soap.

Pure Soap smells exactly like what it promises. As many others have said, this immediately conjured up the image of white bar soap as soon as I sprayed it. I'm not one who usually wears soap/detergent type fragrances, but I can appreciate how gorgeous this is.

i would say this is 80% fresh laundry/dryer sheet and 20% bar soap. smells extremely comforting and nostalgic, literally anyone could wear this just wish that the price was a bit lower and the silage was stronger, but gorgeous fragrance nonetheless

Very basic white soap scent, but great for layering. My everyday go to is the kuumba made creamy coconut with this perfume. Cuts down on the harshness and smells shower fresh!

A simple clean soap or deodorant type scent. I but it on after the shower and that top it of with whatever other perfume I want to wear that day. Great after the gym.

Hmmm...first day wearing this. Was on the hunt for a true photorealistic Dove soap fragrance. While Pure Soap comes close to fitting the bill, with strong aldehyde on the opening, the musk and sandalwood come forward a little too hard on me for some reason. It reminds me so much of CK One actually. It lasts maybe 1-2 hours, if that. It’s not completely unpleasant, I think it just needs to grow on me, and it really is very fresh and clean, just not exactly what I was looking for. Update: I really do love this fragrance, it’s so clean and fresh but the longevity and sillage are terrible. Update 2: I started layering this with Glossier You for the perfect clean, inoffensive office scent. YES!! Very nice.

This is very clean, the name is extremely fitting because it indeeds smells like Pure Soap. For anyone that wants variety and a well rounded collection needs this. You need a perfume that it’s simply CLEAN and this is just that! With 100% certainty I promise that whoever smells you will think that you just came out of the shower, even if that happened 5 hours ago. Lol *I guess the musk is strong because I was told that I smell somewhat like White Diamond. I did spray very generously because I under estimated it’s power. I will try again with fewer sprays to see if I get a different reaction.

I was able to purchase a 1 oz bottle of this at my local Ross. A lot of reviews said it was similar to warm cotton (a favorite scent of mine) so I took the dive. It's a linear, soapy scent. Personally, I think it's a bit too harsh on its own, but it does layer well with other fragrances. My sister says it smells like Dettol, if any of you are familiar with that. I wish I had picked up another bottle of warm cotton instead of this.

Highly realistic facsimile of a basic bar of soap. Like a fresh bar of Ivory soap. Not a luxury soap. It is too plain for me, but I think this would be great for workplaces that frown on wearing scents. No one would accuse you of wearing a perfume.

Wanted to like this, but it comes off harsh with a fabric softener vibe more than soap. Reminds me of the walmart brand 'linen' room spray. Will just spray it in the head after a deuce..

I agree with prava.slava.mama's review; on me, this smells like a disinfectant with a harsh soap base. I'm not a fan. I did want that fresh out of the shower clean smell but this fragrance is not it. Don't get me wrong, I like aldehydes a lot, my signature for the longest time was the original Dior "Miss Dior" (the one from a couple of decades ago, none of the permutations since) which works wonders with my chemistry but it's just too much for summer, or my work place. If anyone can recommend another "clean" fragrance, perhaps one with minimal/no musk, no jasmine, and definitely no "woods", I'd be most grateful.

This scent is not at all attractive on my skin. At first, it just smelled like soap, but then it started to remind me of when you've done a really intense sport and you're going into the shower. There's the smell of the shower/the soap but the smell of sweat is still there. I'm pretty bummed since I generally like a lot of perfumes by Clean but this one just didn't fit me right at all.

I really enjoy several perfumes that invoke “luxurious triple milled fancy soap,” so I figured this would be an easy love. Well, it smells like soap, but specifically Ivory soap, not fancy soap. Very photorealistic *cheap* soap smell. I had to scrub it off (with... well, more soap. But, unscented castile soap. Much better.) My sampler of Clean fragrances turned out to be a HUGE fail. Some might love this and rock it, but it didn’t do it for me. I found it more obnoxious than energizing. My pick for “soapy” is Tocca Giulietta.

Totally agree with santeripe (review below mine). This is spot on Dove White Beauty Bar. Great everyday scent. If you always wanted to keep the smell of Dove soap on you to go to work, etc. here it is. The closest I’ve found. People here will ask as I’ve seen them do on other fragrance pages by this company on Fragrantica, “What do you need this for? Just take a shower” Well, yes, we take a shower every morning, but the scent of that lasts maybe an hour or so. This keeps that fresh from the shower scent/feeling going and can be freshened though out the day. Some people don’t want to smell like perfume, but rather want to keep that clean smell that they like in their bath products they use. Others (like me) like perfume, but need a break from from time to time, or will be in a setting where perfume needs to be discreet such as in hospitals or doctor’s offices. That’s where this company provides for that need. Edit: I see someone has voted this to smell like CLEAN Reserve Skin. I have that one too and they smell nothing alike. Skin is sweeter like having warm skin from just taking a bath or shower with a vanilla, sandalwood, and musk soap.

One of the cleanest smelling perfume I have ever smelled. It has a very realistic white soap smell. Very nostalgic, as soon as you smell it, you immediately think "soap". It's a common white soap smell we've all smelled growing up. They nailed it. I've been a fan of the CLEAN classic line in a while now, but this one for me instantly became one of their top scents along with Warm Cotton, Fresh Laundry etc. in my honest opinion. This perfume is like an essential if you want to have a clean smelling perfume collection. This satisfies my craving for a SOAP smell. You might smell as if you lathered soap in your body and didn't rinse properly but I love that effect that this perfume gives so much. I see the similarity with Demeter's Pure Soap, but that perfume has a note on it that comes off nauseating for me. CLEAN's pure soap is more refined, more sophisticated. More blended. More pleasant. More addicting. I'm super excited to wear this more. It has been uplifting my mood everytime I spray this perfume since I got it a week ago.

Here is a brief digest: - What it is NOT: MM Bubble Bath dupe or preppy-clean scent of an overpriced sophisticated white floral soap. (I'm not saying this is what it should have been) - What it is: A conceptual scent of the liquid soap in a public lavatory; the impression of someone who's puritanically austere and frugal. If not, it's obtrusively rigid aldehydic white floral. I typically don't write downright negative reviews. However, unless you are anosmic or you have not smelled a decent aldehydic-floral in a WHILE, this is unwearable. It can and it will become cloying and agressive, so I do see it more as a room freshener spray, or like some reviewers mentioned a disinfectant. Mind you, just one spray can fill the whole room. In sum, you get 70% borderline sociopathic aldehydes and the rest 30% mostly suffocating indolic jasmine and orange blossom. Ultimately, it comes off pretty bluntly. It's the performance what diverts the attention away from its attempt to convey the concept of a soap.

THE #1 go-to “clean girl” perfume. I’m so surprised that this isn’t being talked about more on social media/TikTok with the whole “clean girl aesthetic” thing going around. This perfume is the PERFECT “just got out of the shower” perfume. It is the perfect creamy soap bar fragrance - definitely very similar to Dove bar soap. My husband is scent sensitive and this perfume never seems to bother him. It’s the perfect mixture of floral but not flowery, soapy but not sharp, and skin-musky without being musky or evaporating off the skin within seconds. I carry one in my purse at all times to refresh during the day at the office - and always get compliments saying how clean/fresh I smell. I will forever buy this for sure. I have tried many other clean/soapy fragrances (Maison Martin Lazy Sunday, Bubble Bath, Byredo Blanche, CLEAN Fresh Laundry, Skin, Warm Cotton, Simply Clean etc) but this one takes the cake. My favourite CLEAN brand perfume.

Pure soap is very linear and exactly what the name suggests:the scent of soap lather,no more no less.It doesn't really evolve from top notes to base notes to my nose anyway,maybe a tad bit sweeter in the drydown probably due to the florals and the sandalwood coming in,but not much. Regardless of aldehydes as a top note this is not a harsh fresh fragrance but more a clean out of the shower fresh where you can almost sense the warm skin behind the soap scent,there's definitely a creaminess to it and the tiniest hint of warmth. Sillage is minimal unless you overspray which you actually can with such a consistent scent,longevity is about 4-5 hours. It's inoffensive and perfect for fragrance sensitive spaces,if you don't overdo it wouldn't seem like you're wearing a perfume at all,just like you showered and good for you! I personally find it very conforting and cozy to wear this after bathing,layered with tahara musk oil.

Pure Soap is what it is, a clean out of the shower scent, this is soft,soapy and fresh, while i love warm cotton, the minute i tried this, It became my new favorite. While Warm Cotton is that fresh laundry smell, pure soap is the scent you smell when you are in the shower and you are lathered in ivory/dove soap, there is nothing citrus about this, this is a SOAPY CLEAN smell that is perfect for people who just want that fresh scent without a trace of "cologne",its relatively new (2weeks) in my rotation so i cannot say much about it's longevity & sillage, however I had a quite a few compliments about how i smell fresh out of the shower, but this was an hour after i put it on and they smelled it at soon as we hugged, so i guess the sillage of this is atm....intimate, but this has definitely earned a place in my top 5. Oh, i love to layers this with Hermes Jardin De Monsieur Li, to add another layer of soft freshness.

I will try to buy this one today and will leave review after..I have my fingers crossed it will smell like what I smelled on co worker, from another store, body mist from Bath and Body works, she never told me the name..it has been couple years and I still think about it..it smelled like she just god out of a shower and washed with white bar soap..the smell was amazing! Will see. Update: it is very white floral, however it does smell just like Dove white soap bar. I do not know why, but while wearing it as soon I bought, it became somewhat annoying...even though it did smell ok. I even got a slight headache. Even though it was 11$, i still decided to return it and aquire perfume that I have doubts about.
