Rain

Tis be a perfume that I have as a participant of a collection of 4 that I wish to keep for life. A neutral scent this is. I wanted to smell like the rain because it is a memorable scent. Moreover, I felt that the rain scent would be a nice, insignificant smell that would be effective to play in case I didn't want to participate in a specific scent. In other words, this perfume was to be a filler scent that would not be special. This perfume was initially outside of my search parameters as I was trying to directly find a water scent via a note search. Then, I decided to search the word rain to comb through particular scents. I find this perfume to conclude that search. In reviewing the simplicity of this perfume's note layers, I found this perfume to be a risk in purchasing. Given that this perfume was to be a filler, it should represent its symbolic position within my collection of fragrance by having a cheap cost. Also, I didn't want to succumb to the horrors of purchasing 100 mL of alcohol smell. Hence, I found the price of about 90 bucks on Sephora to be a gamble. In retrospect, I found this perfume to be a good representation of a body odor at peace. This perfume is humble yet fulfilling in its use of white flowers to provide some resource to smell from. Want a perfume that is quiet, humble, and versatile, because that was what this perfume embodied to me. In concern to that collection of 4 that I mentioned, I find this perfume to be more permanent as it would be quite hard to perfect such a perfume. Perhaps, the infamously expensive rain smell that comes from India as an oil combined with these notes would be an upgrade. However, this wish is more ideal than real.

I'm a lover of all things natural and minimalistic, when I had £15 worth of Ndulge points on my SpaceNK card and couldn't find anything that jumped out at me, I stumbled upon this and I'm glad I have. Firstly, I love the concept behind CLEAN fragrances, I like the whole idea that they help to evoke or prolong feelings of being clean or being caught in a refreshing summer rain storm and I also love that they are cruelty free and that the packaging and ingredients are sustainably sourced. The bottle for starters looks elegant and minimal, its made of thick glass which has a nice weight and with the wooden cap and paper label, it looks really lovely amongst my other bottles, the cap also fits on the sprayer tightly and doesnt slip off meaning its easy to travel with it. As for the scent itself, it really does smell like rain, but more of a summer rain storm when you're walking through a woods, the patchouli really gives this a pleasant wet soil type nuance and there is something a bit salty running through this from beginning to end as well, I cannot really pick out the other notes bar the patchouli, but it does smell wonderful and fresh. For an EdP, its quite soft but I feel that is just the nature of the CLEAN Reserve range of scents, 4 sprays will last me for about 5 hours but its quite soft and close to skin, so depending on how the mood takes me am a bit heavy handed on the trigger, but I absolutely love this one! Definite repurchase in the future, a solid spring/summer staple!

I have the 10ml travel spray. This is such a pretty perfume. It smells like a heavy downpour. One of those days where the rain droplets are completely soaking all of the plants and their leaves seem even greener and more vibrant against the grey sky and atmosphere. All you can hear is the powerful sound of rain pelting down. It’s strikingly refreshing, green, and clean, but the patchouli lends some sensuality in the dry-down. On the packing it’s noted that the fragrance family for Rain is “watery musk” and that’s a completely accurate categorization in my opinion. There’s almost a faint sea salt note or the aura of something salty, but not quite. It mixes really well with my skin chemistry. I love that the travel size is a spray and not a rollerball. The packaging is minimalistic and beautiful.

Clean, fresh, simple, citrusy, elegant. There isn't any complexity to this scent but in this case it's a good thing. It's very pleasant and refreshing. "Minimalist" would be a good word for it, I guess. So far I like everything I try from Clean, it is always so nice and comforting. My favourite is "Skin", but "Rain" has all the chances to replace it now, haha. By the way, not sure why they decided to call it "Rain". Rain is the last thing that comes to my mind when I wear it. This smell is more like an early morning run on a crispy but sunny spring day, when you suddenly encounter a lemon tree of an incredible beauty and stop to look at it to appreciate the moment.

"watery musk" is the perfect description for this fragrance. it smells like sweet rain in the early hours of the morning, so i'm excited to wear it this autumn as i suspect it'll suit the moody atmosphere beautifully. the projection is perfect for my tastes, not too close to the skin that i have to put my nose to it to smell it, but not too strong that my nose is constantly bombarded by scent. i was surprised to see that patchouli is a base note, because it smells light and airy which i don't think are adjectives one would assign to patchouli. it's a beautiful blend, definitely my favourite of the three clean reserve blends i've tried so far.

Rain is a bit of an unexpected love! I do enjoy green/petrichor/citrusy fragrances, but I overall do not like patchouli at all. However, the patchouli note in this is either very mild, or it's a specific variation that's much more pleasant on the nose. I find Rain to be a crisp, clean scent that's perfect for a warm spring or summer day. The notes are bright enough to cut through humidity while remaining balanced and wearable. I do agree that this could lean slightly masculine, but it's not overpowering at all. This will be added to my spring/summer rotation now that the weather has gotten warmer. Super enjoy this!!

This is one of the most photorealistic perfumes that I have in my collection- it smells just like a clean, heavy rainfall that I love to layer with Armani's Ocean Di Gioia for the ultimate 'clean girl' refreshing water scent. I was shocked to find out that patchouli was the base note of this fragrance, as it doesn't come across at all. Honestly after smelling I wouldn't be able to guess any of the notes in this as it just smells like fresh clean water to me. I'm on my second bottle, and will power through it once it gets a little warmer outside :)

this is genuinely the best perfume and best scent i have ever smelt in my LIFE. in like 2019 i got this random eucalyptus verbena hand sanitizer from a salon (i have an obsession with eucalyptus it’s a really good smell) and i have rationed it since then because it literally smells heavenly, then one day i came across this beautiful fragrance that happens to nearly smell the exact same as it. not to mention i have never smelt a more unisex fragrance ever, so if anyone is looking for a perfectly unisex fragrance like i was this is perfect!!!!

Clean Reserve Rain is one of my all-time favorites!!! I have been in LOVE with this one since I first smelled it. This is a true unisex scent in which it is fitting for everyone. Spring and summer, especially rainy weather is the best time to wear this one. Rainy weather amplifies the notes and in my opinion, the sillage as well. I can't wait to get my hands on the full bottle! It can be masculine leaning to some - however in a comforting way rather than overpowering. It gives an out-of-the-shower fresh scent

I feel like this has more of a warm citrus than a rainwater smell, but I love it. It is one of those scents that makes me close my eyes and hum when I smell it, lol. It is not too bitter and has a very clean and refreshing smell. I am picking up a little on a floral scent as it settles, but it is more of a fruity floral, not straight flower smell. Kind of reminds me of one of my favorite scents Ralph by Ralph Loren. I don't find the Patchouli scent to be very strong on my skin which is perfect.

I received an 8ML supply of this as part of my monthly ScentBird subscription (which is great btw). This fragrance is very fresh and clean, inoffensive, and great for any occasion. I would say better for Spring or Summer though. Lasts pretty long and projects well, since its an EDP concentration. I probably would buy a bottle of it eventually once my 8ML runs out. It is very pleasant. I dont really feel its very "floral" as fragrantica says...to me its more watery smelling.

Never would have thought that rain could smell like something, but this is quite accurate. It’s like a tropical rainstorm in a rainforest. Very nice, both fresh and warm at the same time. Longetivity is outstanding, sillage is very good, though its not in your face, and surely very unique. Compliment getter for sure, and definitely unisex. I recommend this highly, makes me curious about the other reserves. Try it if you can!

this is great. got a travel size on sale and i adore it. it was one of the scents that got me back into regularly wearing perfume. i don’t find this to be floral at all, it’s just a beautiful rain and earthy smell. i think this pairs well with earthy-herbal smells.. i’ve layered it with h24 in the past and really liked it. i definitely find that it is more unisex and masculine-leaning.

It is a clean and soapy scent for me. Very inoffensive, not loud not bold. Office appropriate, everyday appropriate and good for those days when you just want to smell a little nicer and go for gorcery shopping kinda scent. I kinda like it, if you can get this in a good deal, worth give it a try. Remind me of Philosophy's scent but with a little better longetivity

Wow. This is a beautiful fragrance. Purchase this last year and i fell in love at first sniff. Reminds me sitting in the beach mid afternoon and it just finished raining and lots of cloud and gloomy while the wind blowing around 15 to 25 mph and its cool weather relaxes your mind. Glad i discover this fragrance. Fresh, elegant, and sexy at the same time.

I don’t think this perfume gets the love it deserves. This perfume is so uplifting and fresh! Sure it’s not the most COMPLEX scent but that’s what layering is for! It’s a dream to pair with a good musky skin scent like Another 13 (it’s gives it a SLIGHT chloriney smell but in the best possible way) or a salty scent like Salt Air by Skylar.

This is my go to cozy/ bed scent. Its name is not fitting though. This should be named after the rain. I get the brand is more simplistic, but this is not rainfall but more so the grounding elements that become fragrant after a rainfall. It is kinda expensive at retail for a skin scent, but there are discount sites for a reason.

This is different than what I usually go for. My nose picks up the fresh rain smell. It reminds me of standing on a cliff in the forrest near a waterfall as the mist from the water wafts through the air. It also has a slight soapy/clean scent that I enjoy. I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I love this.

Extremely fresh and clean. The bergamot isn't overwhelming, and the strong scent of white flowers carries through for the duration. I call it a strong skin scent after 4 hours. Smells like you just stepped out of a fresh shower, and maybe you used your girlfriend's expensive soap much to her dismay.

I LOVE this scent, it's become my everyday go-to for spring/summer. It smells grassy and fresh to me, like standing in the backyard on a summer morning, barefoot in freshly mown grass that sticks to your skin with the dew. I got a 100ml bottle for $7 (!) but I would rebuy at full price if I run out.
