Sel Santal

Fresh. Nutty. Crisp and warm. Sparkling and subtly citrus. Familiar and bright, slightly aftershave and cologne and I enjoy it. Love that pop of amber and woods. The salt and fig invigorate. Nutmeg and hazelnut warm and sweeten, but it maintains a softness from distinctive iris and rose. It's a busy ingredient list, but its character is one of simple nutty and woody freshness. Includes the same airy backbone as Yesterday Haze with fig, woods and nuts; but fresher and without too much gourmand creaminess. It's relaxing, casual and fresh, and a favorite from the line.

I wasn't expecting to, but I really like this fragrance. On my skin, I am experiencing a woody musky fragrance with a touch of citrus. I really don't feel like you can describe any Clean fragrances as "strong." Maybe at the initial spray. But once it dries down, Clean fragrances become either a light scent or a skin scent. This one goes pretty light, which makes it even more lovely to wear. I don't think I would buy a huge bottle of this, but it is travel spray worthy in my opinion. Sel Santal is a great day time fragrance that can be worn all year round.

I made the mistake of buying this upon only smelling it on paper. The top notes are feminine leaning but when that goes away it becomes definitely masculine to my nose. This smells amazing on a man. Picture your office crush who looks like he smells good (and actually does). Clean yet striking but still approachable. And even after a hectic work day, he still smells good. Salty, aquatic, woody and creamy in one bottle. This doesn't smell like Santal 33 to me and I don't get the sour pickle vibes at all.

I bought this in Aussie Summer of '23. It was interesting but not what I wanted for the season. This winter however, it's my absolute favourite. Fresh, sharp, woody. Divine on its own, or lovely paired with S.F Mysteriosa, T.M Aura or M.B Signature- for that sharp woody, winter fruits vibe. I'm out and I need another bottle!!! I must confess though, I work in a fragrance department and I'm kind of obsessed with more niche scents 😅

Beautiful fragrance!! Sel Santal was an instant love for me, it smells wonderful and performs fantastic on my skin. If you have ever been to the High Desert in Central/Eastern Oregon, that's the feeling I get from Sel Santal. The scent picture I get from this juice is so vivid that it sometimes stirs up a longing to return to those places of my youth. I highly recommend giving Sel Santal a sniff!!

Blind bought this for a steel. It leans more masculine to me, especially in the opening, in the dry down it’s more unisex. Very green, woody, fresh, sweet and a little powdery. Unfortunately I don’t get a lot of the salt, fig or whipped cream but in the dry down the violet, amber and sandalwood come trough. I really like it and it will suit my husband really well, can’t wait to sniff it on him.

A clean, salty, spicy sandalwood. Not sweet. I've never been impressed by many of the Clean range but I reaaaallly like this one. I like this better than my Hermes Santal Massoia. More beefy, more assertive. Better sillage. Like if I had a fling with a guy who had a very fancy apartment with expensive sandalwood soap in his nice shower... and the smell lingered on my skin the whole next day.

I like this very much! Warm and woody with a hint of freshness. I don't think this smells masculine whatsoever, but perhaps my perception of what makes a masculine scent is somewhat skewed. It avoids overt sweetness and the irritating "green" note that I associate with designer fragrance flaps in magazines. So far this is my favorite scent from Clean!

Santal 33 pales in comparison to this beauty. I was so disappointed when I tried a sample of the former after being spoiled with this. Unlike pickles in a perfume bottle, this gives me warm, creamy, yet rough and mature sandalwood. While it's rather masculine, anyone can wear this. There's something about this that reads like a warm hug to me.

The amount of women thinking this is going to be sweet/femenine, after looking at the whipped cream note has me rotfl. This is masculine leaning. Really well blended sandalwood, green woody fragrance, it smells absolutely amazing on my husband. I absolutely don't get pickle juice? This is a fresh, clean scent that lingers in my memory.

I'm on my second full bottle of Sel Santal, and I know I'll definitely get a third once this one is finished. Sel Santal is such a comforting, pleasing fragrance that takes me back to the High Desert in central Oregon where I grew up. I can't recommend this scent enough—give it a try and let it bring you a sense of home.

This is in my top 10 fragrances. I love the salty note and wear it layered over many other fragrances, from nerolis to roses to gourmands. I find it to be very long lasting, especially on the clothes, but it's still sticks close to the body. A beautiful fragrance, I hope they never discontinue it.

Word around the campfire is Clean Beauty Collective is going to phase out and discontinue Sel Santal. If you want a bottle or a backup bottle, now is the time to get one. It won't be long until the available stock gets low and the prices go through the roof.

I've bought several of the mini sets at Sephora and love to pack three or four for trips to mix up my fragrance. I especially love to mix Sel Santal with lighter scents like Elizabeth Arden White Tea or Versace Yellow Diamond to make them a little beachier.

Love this! It's light, fresh, and clean. It reminds me of CK2 but the bergamot adds a light floral scent. I usually favor gourmet scents but even I know this scent is a typical woody, oriental, green scent. Nothing special or unique but it's still great.

This is my friend's signature scent. She is beautiful. So is this perfume. It's like Santal 33 if Santal 33 were actually good (less iris notes). By far best santal sandalwood scent I've ever smelled. And reminds me of my lovely friend. Wow

this scent is a nice low-profile salty sandalwood! woody but not too masculine, it's super versatile and great for layering or wearing on its own. easy to reach for as a casual everyday fragrance without being overpowering

this is the first sandalwood fragrance that doesn't give me straight pickle. it's aquatic, but not overly so. it's an uplifting, clean wood that fades into watery florals. i love this so much. i'd say it's unisex as well

I normally do NOT like woody scents but this one quite literally took me on a hike through the redwood trees. It’s a fresh but spiced wooden smell that’s more feminine. I absolutely love it.

On me, this is sweet in a woody, citrusy, fresh-spicy way.. smells like the colour green :) Really nostalgic, I love it. Reminds me of my dad's old aftershave and scented markers
