Skin [Intense]

I own well over 100 fragrances, predominantly niche, and this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review. This release is simply too good to stay quiet about, and it truly deserves to be made permanent. I am honestly surprised I haven’t seen more about this on perfume tok since the regular Clean Reserve skin has such a cult following. Clean Reserve Skin is already the most worn fragrance in my collection, so Skin Intense was an immediate blind buy for me. From the first spray, it was love at first sniff. My husband gravitates toward musk forward fragrances, and both versions are standouts for us. His other favorites on me are Lake and Skye 11:11 and Initio Musk Therapy, which should give some context to his taste. Skin Intense truly smells like reserve skin, only stronger, warmer, and slightly sweeter. Interestingly, my husband cannot detect a difference between the two at all. The opening reads a bit different to my nose, but the dry down is nearly identical to the original, just amplified. I never had an issue with longevity with the original and Its intimacy is intentional and part of its appeal. The Intense version maintains that same skin like quality while offering moderate projection, making it more noticeable without losing its softness. For those less immersed in fragrance, owning both may feel unnecessary since they are very similar. Personally, I want both and plan to keep both, and I am already preparing to purchase a backup bottle. The original remains slightly lighter and fresher, which makes it ideal for summer, the gym, and work. I work in a school, and it is perfect for that setting. Skin Intense feels like the more elevated, every day, or even date night version. If I had to choose only one, it would be Skin Intense. This is exceptional. If you love the original Skin, Skin Intense is a very safe blind buy, and one I genuinely hope receives enough support to become a permanent part of the line.

Whenever people describe a fragrance as "addictive" I never quite understood it until I tried a sample of this from my recent Clean perfume purchase. I have the original and the reserve blend version of this perfume and believe me when I say this is the perfected version of both. I think this is what Skin should have been, or what they were going for. To preface this, I really DO NOT LIKE gourmand scents at all. I don't like smelling like a walking pastry; so, anything with caramel, praline or even vanilla I try with caution. But this one really made me a believer! It's so balanced, and STILL a clean lactonic scent without being cloying and then it transforms into the Clean Skin scent we've come to love only more creamy. The caramel is sweet enough to pull you in, and sea salt balances it so it isn't too sweet. Stronger projection and sillage compared to her siblings, and I do get the marketing where they say it's "sexy & sophisticated" but not in a narcotic kind of way, more of a moisturized, sexy woman who likes to lounge in her lingerie in private kinda way; the type that is subtle, but still makes an impression. Fans of Vanilla Skin by PHLUR will love this, as it smells like the more lactonic blend between the two!

According to the Clean Beauty site, the perfumes are: Skin (Classic) - Skin [Reserve Blend] - Skin [Intense] Keeping that sequence in mind, you're essentially looking at the same scent in order of increasing longevity. The only difference you’ll smell is in the dry-down. Skin [Intense] is the longest-lasting, which is why between the three, it's my pick. Fortunately, it doesn't have that sharp, chemical opening & it's the same warm & inoffensive skin scent...maybe slightly saltier. In the dry-down, the praline takes center stage, but let me stress, as someone who HATES gourmand smells, that it doesn't feel overbearingly sweet. Nor does it get cloying after a while, which I imagine is due to being so nicely blended. The sillage remains pretty intimate, but I was still able to sense this on me after just over 2 hours. I will say though, that despite getting 1ml decants from different sources, 2/3 of the samples smelled rotten. They were old, & when this stuff goes off, it absolutely REEKS. Keep this mind while testing!

Love it! Clean Skin is my favorite but it doesn’t last and it doesn’t project as much as I would like so I have given up and just carry it with me. This isn’t exactly like clean skin... it’s missing that second skin, musky smell.... But it definitely projects better and lasts longer! I’m not getting sea salt in the beginning. It’s a sweet musky floral with maybe some caramel or vanilla with a woody base... like the most expensive delicious shampoo conditioner, but sweeter. I think the intense is more sweet and caramel than the original but I love it. Love love love. My husband loves it too! I hope they keep it as I think this will be my signature scent.

So I’ve edited this review because this has really grown on me. At first, I was only getting caramel and Tonka, and it was off putting. Now, after several tries, I am getting the saltiness and this is coming across as balanced and like an intense version of the original. For my first impression I was underwhelmed and I expected to love it, but initially, caramel and tonka were taking over on my skin. I’m surprised I don’t really pick up much of the white florals, but the intense version is definitely stronger. I am considering a full bottle now!

This is THE signature scent for me. I just love how it settles into my skin. It opens very fresh -- you can really smell the bergamont, before drying down into a warm, intimate vanilla/jasmine scent. 'm not a fan of gourmands, and I wouldn't say this one is, but it certainly smells yummy. The salt note pulls everything together. It literally makes me want to lick my skin. It's sexy enough for a date night, but not so sexy that you can't wear it to work. It is also quite long lasting on me and I usually struggle to find perfumes that last on me.

I just made an order for a new bottle of my signature scent (skin reserved) and got this one as a sample. I am IN LOVE with it. Well I already love skin so I’m not surprised I love this one as well. It’s similar to skin but richer, warmer, and sexier to me. I can’t wait to wear this all winter layered with some warm vanilla fragrances. The sandalwood and vanilla really show up on my skin. I have a full bottle of skin I just purchased but I’ll probably get a travel size of this one for now.

This is sooooo good. I love the og skin so much but i hated the fact it lasted less than an hour on me, so i wanted to try this intense version to see if it lasted longer... and it does! The scent is identical to the og skin but with a hint of vanilla frosting on top, it is sooo delicious. I really really like it. It is a very unique and beautiful dna. It is clean but also sweet at the same time. I don’t know how they managed to do that but yeah i am glad they did 😂

I've worn Skin Reserve since it came out, and wore the regular version of Skin before that. This version is SO good...brings back that caramelly tonka that was in Skin Reserve when it first came out (but seems to have disappeared during a recent reformulation). Beautiful. So so hard to find in the UK, but I've managed to get my hands on a few millilitres from a sample company to tide me over until I can get my hands on a full bottle.

I already reviewed this but i wanted to write again how obsessed i am with it lol it is sooo so good i am in love 😍😍 So comforting, so relaxing, it is clean and sweet at the same time. Very unique dna. It is DELICIOUS. I wouldn’t describe it as a gourmand scent by any means but that vanilla icing note is everything to me. I am layering this and Angel Dust by Fugazzi lately and it is an absolute BANGER. I need a backup bottle ASAP

For the past couple of months as my passion for perfume took a backseat, this bottle has been the one I always go back to. Sweeter and more intoxicating than it's original counterpart, yet keeps that projection quality that creates this intimacy. Whenever someone got close enough to smell me, it was as if they couldn't walk away. I fear this might be my signature, and my soul would die if it got discontinued.

Stunning! Received my package today & sprayed my arm immediately...this is everything the OG version should’ve been! I literally have to search for the OG Skin even after drowning myself in it. This lingers is present for hours and gets better over time. I’m super excited with this fragrance and will definitely keep this in rotation

I've always tinkered with buying Clean Researve's "Skin" scent, but it was just a little too plain. I ordered this as a blind buy and I am not disappointed, at all! Smells beautiful and warm, almost like lightly spiced jasmine flowers on a freshly washed cotton t-shirt. Projection/sillage is moderate. It lasts a decent 5-6 hours.

This smells super similar to the original skin but MORE! It does seem to be a bit stronger and slightly sweeter. If you have Skin and aren't low, you really probably don't need both. My tiny bottle of Skin will be used up quickly so I'll probably snag this one! I used up my entire sample and I NEVER finish samples

This was love at first spray! Deep yet soft, a beautiful balance of gourmand with florals but somehow yet still a skin scent. Absolutely divine. Might be my new favorite, which is saying something because I’ve never been partial to just one fragrance. This one is a doozy in the way possible way

I could swear it was almond or heliotrope in this. Very similar to the original but sweeter, deeper and more sugery. I can understand ppl who feel it has a spoiled or almost rotten hint, it is more like flowers that are right at the edge of withering. I find it enjoyable but not for everyone.

The original Clean Skin was one of the first perfumes I fell in love with. After finishing a couple travel sizes, I debated buying a full size due to the not so great performance. This intense version has gotten rid of that issue. It’s the same things I love about the original but stronger!

I reaaaally want this! But I’m scared of seeing White Florals at the top of the main accords list... what if this is too “perfumey” for my taste?? I heard its a sweeter version of the original and I wouldn’t be mad at that. It’s just the flower part that worries me.

ABSOLUTELY amazing! A more intense version of my favorite fragrance of all time - Skin. They literally just amped everything up making it more addictive, long-lasting, and just better. It's so warm, and melts into your skin like a dream. I'm obsessed!

Oh. This is NICE. Reminds me Giardini Di Toscana's Celeste (without the raspberry note) mixed with Kayali's Musk 12. Also kinda reminds me of the Victoria Secret fragrances my mom wore in the late 90's/early 00's. I need backups of this.

Clean Reserve Skin has been one of my favorite fragrances for a long time and this one is basically a more intense version of the original. Maybe a bit warmer in the base also. Love them both!

I am totally in love with intoxicating fragrance! And I’m very bummed that it’s only a limited edition. I’m hoping they’ll change their minds and make this a full perfume.

So I’m not sure why but this on me smells like a salty Bianco latte. I’m not mad at all about it just have to play around with it more and see 10/10 so far ❤️

Skin Intense – Summer Night Florals Wrapped in Creamy Vanilla I really liked this one. On my skin, Skin [Intense] smells like a warm summer night — white florals drifting through open windows, skin still warm from the day, and that soft breeze that carries everything just a little slower. The opening has a subtle brightness from bergamot, but it quickly settles into creamy vanilla and musky warmth. The white florals (especially lily-of-the-valley) float gently — never sharp, never overly green. They feel airy and romantic, like florals carried on humid night air. What makes this beautiful to me is the grounding. The vanilla and tonka give it that creamy, almost sandalwood-like depth. There’s a soft saltiness in the background that keeps it from feeling heavy or overly sweet. It’s sensual but still very “clean.” Intimate, but noticeable. It’s the kind of scent that feels effortless on bare skin. Feminine without trying too hard. Soft but present. This is absolutely going onto my bedside scent tray. I can already tell it’s going to be one of those comforting night fragrances I reach for when I want to feel cozy, pretty, and just a little dreamy. This was initially an instant love, but after 30mins to an hour the love turned to disappointment. On me skin intense smells of night blooming jasmine flowers and brown sugar but it’s so short lasting and faint, I just don’t think it’s worth the spend. I get this is meant to be a skin scent, but I can’t smell it at all unless I bury my nose in my arm. It reminds me of sugary body sprays I used to wear as a teen and “Dancing on the moon” by Maison Margiela, which I decluttered. If you like Clean Intense I’d strongly suggest you try this, as it’s stronger and longer lasting. This is still very nice, but a pass for me.

Sweet, slightly-soapy, clean-gourmand skin scent with some light floral nuance. I like this, but don't find it overly compelling. If I had to be cognizant of my fragrance in public, this would be a pretty obvious choice for me, but I work from home and wouldn't reach for this category much. I wish this came in a 30 or 50ml (or maybe a cuter bottle, because I'm a clown)

I like this so much more than the original! To me, this smells almost exactly like the Lucky You for Women from the early 2000's. It smells nostalgic, clean, a bit powdery, warm and easy to wear. I had actually been looking for something similar to Lucky You and this is it! I got this as a sample and will definitely order the full size.

Just received my bottle today and this is a good everyday fragrance. There is nothing spectacular that jumps out to my nose. Perfect for “just out of the shower, going to run errands” frag. I feel this has a fresh laundry vibe going on in the way it wears. It’s intense for sure and feel the notes shine when sprayed sparingly.

It really is Clean Reserve Skin but more concentrated and intense. For a variety of reasons, "intense" versions usually have a woody or patchouli backbone. Not here! This one just smells more concentrated and I am here for it!

At first this smells really wonderful and after a few minutes the heavy musk starts to run the show and it starts to smell like a person who hasn't washed in quite a few days wearing a mid range perfume. Loses its freshness. Really disappointed it goes in that direction.

Musky vanillary caramellish. Like a more refineed body spray. Nice, but kind of generic.

I really love the original, but whatever they did with the new intense version is just... not it. The original is soft, cozy, and actually smelled like clean sweetened skin. This new formula? It hits completely differently. The opening smells weirdly artificial and almost spoiled, and once it settles it has this sharp note that honestly reminds me a little of cat pee. I kept trying to convince myself it would mellow out, but nope — it stayed unpleasant the whole time. Super disappointed because the original is a favorite, but I definitely won’t be picking this one up. I highly recommend you sample this before buying.

when i first got it, i liked it. but now after using it a few times it really just reminds me of the way some people have that natural sticky sweet, maple syrup smell to them, like diabetic people’s sweat or people who take certain supplements. if you’ve ever smelled it, you’d know what i’m talking about. i can’t unsmell it. i don’t want to smell like that.

Obligatory 'I blind bought this so you don't have to!' I've been seeing ads for this one for a long time, and I'm upset with myself for finally giving in because I'm really irritated with the marketing around it. You HAVE to blind buy it and they don't sell it in smaller sizes and supposedly it's limited release. That being said, I feel like I've been seeing ads for it for at least a year and they are still selling it. I tried the original in store and was surprised by how much I liked it. It smells a lot like musk 12 which I regret decluttering. That being said, I found it a little too sterile, a little too similar to generic bathroom soap. So I figured this would be a safe blind buy because I know that I like the original, but that I wish the original was a little bit cozier. The verdict: I like it but for me personally I get a lot less vanilla or praline from it then I was expecting. That's fine with me, because my primary concern was that this would be less clean and more gourmand, but its definitely still a clean scent. I kind of have to search for the vanilla, sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't. It really only smells different in the opening. Also I don't know if it's my batch or if it needs to mature, but honestly when I tested the original it lasted longer on my skin than this one. Weird, right? Overall a safe blind buy IF you love the original and can never have too many bottles, OR if you know you will like the original but don't own it. BUT if I had already owned the original and only 'liked' it vs 'love' it, this would be redundant for my collection. If you have never smelled the original, I would say it's not a safe blind buy. The reason I originally decluttered my musk 12, which is similar to this, is because there's a sort of plasticky sterile note that I couldn't get over. I still smell it in Skin, but coming back to it I don't mind it as much as I did before.

This is exactly what I expect an “intense” flanker to be - it’s literally Skin but more intense. At first spray this is nearly identical to the original, but the dry down on the skin smells sweet and vanillic, where the original Skin is more musky and clean smelling. The caramel does smell a little plasticky to me at first but I had the same experience with other perfumes with a caramel note (Rare and Caramel Days) so it might just be me. This isn’t crazy strong but it is stronger than the original. If you like one you’ll probably like the other and I really don’t think you need both. I’d probably go for this one out of the two. My only complaint is the spray is kind of concentrated and wet vs a fine mist so I have to spray form a distance or end up with a puddle of perfume on my wrist. Hopefully they’ll end up deciding to keep it in the lineup.

Sucks that Clean Skin intense is limited edition because it's really good as a sweet but clean skin musk. It's the original Skin but longer lasting and better balanced with the salty and sweet notes. Honestly they should just keep this and come out with more sizes, getting rid of the original if only one can be kept. The idea of more vanilla in the intense is mostly about creating a smoother balance, even though the intense is a little sweeter but not in a gourmand way. There are similarities between the original Skin and Kayali Musk 12. I get those similarities in the intense as well, except the intense lasts longer than both of them and may be a contender for purchase with my finished Musk 12. Skin intense also reminds me of Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid with more of a salt mineral touch, so we'll see since I have Gorgeous Orchid now.

I bought this blindly since i love the OG and have gone through 3 x 30 ml bottles in 2 years. 😁 At first, it felt weaker than the og and a bit play dough like in a way. I thought it missed something fresh floral (honeysuckle?) that the OG has as well as the praline note. I sprayed them both on each wrist to compare and didn't smell this one at all. But after having it a week and using it these last few days, I'm hooked. It now smells sweet, like the OG but stronger, I get all the notes in a balanced way, w/o the playdough note. It's floral, fresh, but also a little gourmand on my skin. The drydown makes me sniff my arms and clothes repeatedly. 🤣😁🥰 Love it! Love the beautiful purple but minimalistic bottle too compared to the OG.

unfortunately a blind buy fail on me :( its VERY sweet in a way that is kind of unsettling to me and unexpected. i thought i would love this as i love the regular skin, but the og skin is a true soft airy musk that pulls brighter and cleaner and fresh soapy, whereas skin intense goes into a sweet laundry, diabetic sweet BO/skin direction as someone mentioned. if a skin scent be cloying, this is it. this isn't even a skin scent at this point. i'll need to compare both side by side on clean skin with a fresh nose. i actually think i would like vs bare vanilla line better

SELLING: 100 ml of 'Skin Intense' - shipping from The Netherlands, so buyer should be in Europe. I had no experience with 'Skin' and decided to immediatelly go for 'Skin Intense', as so many people said the original perfume fades away so quickly. So I got the intense-version and man... this is so sickishly sweet, it's literally nauseating to me. All I smell is a very dense caramel. Can't wait to get rid of it!

This is amazing!!! I LOVE when a fragrance releases an Intense version and it actually stays in the same realm as the original!!! This is just like the OG, just so much more and rich & deep, more sensual, and warm. I adore the salt note. It has a slight toasted marshmallow smell to me. Definitely FB worthy!

Reminds me of BBW retired fragrance line called Beach Nights. (that was: Toasted marshmallow, sea salt, vanilla, driftwood, s'mores.) Although the notes aren't identical they smell very similar! This is my second review for this. I love it.

Extremely close to the OG but smells like this has a dash of sol de Janeiro 59 in it. I like this better than the OG. I hope they keep this in the collection because when I run out of this and the OG I will just repurchase this flanker

To the reviewer below who said this smells like BBW Beach Nights — THANK YOU! I knew it smelled familiar but I couldn’t place the scent. That’s it exactly, dead ringer for Beach Nights to my memory (and I loved Beach Nights!).

This is very strong and long lasting in comparison to the original. A vanilla and sandalwood version of the original, and much sweeter. Like a bianco-latte-ified version of the original!

Does anyone know where to find a sample of this?
