Oh my, this is lovely! Where have you been all of my life? lol. I knew going by the reviews here and elsewhere online that purchasing this might be a gamble, it appears to be a polarising scent. Well, all I can say is (thankfully) the gamble paid off this time around. As far as the name goes, I don't know about cookies but I am getting baked goods for sure. To be specific, an apple and cinnamon pie baking in the oven. Vanilla essence has also been added to the pie, and you can smell it as it heats up. When people say this is a warm fragrance, they are not kidding! I've not experienced a scent as warm as this before. It would be just the ticket for chilly/ cold days. Spring is nearly upon us and now I wish we could turn back the clock and it be autumn and winter again, just so I can wear Cookies and Kisses. Images that this evokes in my mind are of autumn leaves falling all around and gathering on the ground, halloween, bonfires, but also.Christmas time. This is warming, comforting, uplifting and addictive, delicious and borderline edible. I love it right from the opening to the dry-down, it smells delectable all the way through. This is a firm favourite and will always be in my collection now. I can't speak on longevity yet, but I can tell you it is definitely strong enough to project. If you wear this, there is no chance that people around you would find it anything but pleasing. That is just not possible lol. So this is a quintessential autumn and winter scent. For day or evening wear. Work appropriate when applied in moderation. And leans feminine.

One of the best gourmands I’ve smelt, no joke! The first spray is very clean and fresh, and after a minute, the apple blends in with the chestnut and balsam fir, reminiscent of baking an apple pie or even making a salty cookie dough on Christmas. It’s sweet, a bit spicy, and a bit balsamic, and it blends beautifully. The dry down is smooth, woodsy, and a bit smoky, reminding me of a fireplace in a log cabin. I don’t find this perfume to be linear in the least bit and smells complex like two things are happening at once. On one side, I get pies and cookies baking in the oven at once, and on the other side, I smell a Christmas tree all taking place within a log cabin. When I first smelt this at Ulta, it didn’t really do much for me, but the more it dried down, the more I kept smelling my wrist and slowly falling in love with it. I thought it was some modern-day vanilla where the notes are pretty self-explanatory and linear but I was wrong. Yesterday, I bought it and was surprised by the notes when I looked it up on Fragrantica because I have never seen or smelt anything like this before. Cliniques take on a gourmand is very Clinique lol... they really thought out of the box for this when creating a gourmand like they would’ve released in the 90s if that makes sense. This one is gonna stay in my collection for as long as I can buy it... 10/10 for me

A lovely Christmas cookie by the fire. It contains vanilla, but it’s not listed. It is peppery at first, but it’s mixed with a resinous, woody amber, so it’s not overpowering, and soon fades, then it just has a warm spice to it. If comparing to by the fireplace (which I also love) this is not the same at all, more like a distant relative, but they could share a couple of ingredients as it has that vibe. This is much less smokey, much softer, much more traditionally feminine and much sweeter. A baby niece to by the fireplace. I can’t stop smelling this one. If you smell the sillage instead of the skin it does smell of cookies, but more a warm spiced Christmas cookie, I definitely get Christmas vibes from this. Unfortunately 1 spray doesn’t give too much projection, especially not when comparing to something like by the fireplace which is a beast. But it’s enough to smell without raising my arm to my face, and the scent really is sweet, a bit nutty, warm spicy and almost creamy. It’s delicious. Edit: the dry down is sugary sweet and warm, like a mixture of roasted chestnuts and marshmallow. It’s similar to Ariana Grande Cloud. If BTF is the uncle then Cloud is the grandma. And the sister..... This is Her by Zadig and Voltaire. I should also note that I can’t smell ambroxan.

I heard about this fragrance via an online review. Of course I had to try it. Went to a store that carries Clinique products and sampled it. Did some shopping, came back to the store and bought it. It just makes me happy! It's cheerful! That's the best way I can describe it. I love that I can smell the peppery, woody notes but that they are tempered by the hazelnut and apple. I know it's not a niche or designer fragrance...maybe that's another reason why I like it so much...its just regular like me...trying to make people around me happy... (just like I try to. )😊 Layer it with BBW Vanilla Bean Noel lotion for added longevity. And to be honest the Longevity is actually not that bad. I get about 5 hours. I wish it came in a larger bottle but this size is nice for taking with you. Price is good too. I ordered another one on their site but the Bay also carries Clinique products. Enjoy! Just found a very very similar perfume to this. Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere.

This is such an underrated perfume! I can't seem to find a bigger bottle than 15ml. It is absolutely a dupe for Maison Margiela's By the Fireplace - or the other way round, not sure which came first tbh! I love that it doesn't fit its name - there's no cookies here, it's 100% not a gourmand at all which I'm all for. It's smoky and woodsy, with a chestnutty toasty sweetness. This is Autumn in a bottle for me, cosy and comforting without the usual vanilla sweetness or cake smells that seem to be everywhere at this time of year. I agree with what other reviewers have said that it's a more wearable version of By the Fireplace too - which can sometimes feel overly smoky and almost musty basement smelling to some.

This is a very lovely chestnut perfume. It's not overly sweet, but the chestnut is not invisible either, like in By the Fireplace or in This is Her! (I only have a flanker). The peppery note is is a bit strong for me, but I hope I will get used to. The name is a bit misleading, some people might expect buttery vanilla, chocolate and cookie dough. It has a faint cookie dough scent, but this a spicy scent, not a milky one. Also, NOT a dupe for By the Fireplace... thankfully, because that one smells like an ashtray or clothes after smoking for hours. I honestly don't understand why that perfume is so popular and this one isn't. For me this is clearly the superior scent.

This is a great alternative to By the Fireplace, which happens to be one of my favorite fragrances ever. I haven't purchased a full bottle of that due to poor performance on me and higher cost, and I'm happy with this cheaper replacement for now. It is very woody but I think there's enough sweetness there too. I love the opening and wish it kept more of that spiciness as it dried down, it becomes a bit more balsamic to me. It actually performs pretty good (which is surprising), I spritzed some on several hours before bed and woke up this morning still smelling it. Really happy with this purchase!

Another winner of a gourmand from Clinique's Be Happy set for me. At first spritz, the Cookies & Kisses reminded me very strongly of JIL, a favorite of mine from way back in the day which is now nearly impossible to find a bottle of in good condition. I will happily accept this Clinique fragrance as a dupe, although I find it does not have as much sillage or longevity as the JIL used to have. I remember thinking how much the JIL smelled like anisette cookies to me, and I get the same warm and merry mood from the Cookies & Kisses.

I really like this fragrance. Very gourmand! I definitely get the chestnut and some woody notes. I am surprised vanilla isn't listed as a note! I am not getting BTFP, theres no smokiness and hardly any spice on me. Maybe BTFP little sister? It smells like fresh baked chocolate chip shortbread cookies without being juvenile. Lasts a while on the skin but only if your nose is directly over it. Not much silage but its a good fragrance for the price! If you like sweet/vanilla/cookie scents I would say this is a safe blind buy!

5 minutes ago Received cookies and kisses recently purchased online from Ulta and if you are looking for an over the top gourmand you may be disappointed. Now that does not mean I don’t think it’s great cause for me it is! Just a touch misleading by the brands description. It is sweet and comforting but to warn others I must say it is a bit musky on the dry down. And of course those darn half oz bottles! Great for throwing in your purse but being a certified perfume addict this teeny bottle may last the month!

I tested this on an 80 degree day so keep that in mind: Initially I did get a blast of warm vanilla cookies fresh from the oven, but the dry down on my skin was a warm summer day at the beach. The ambroxen really came forward and with the chestnut left almost a coconut note, borderline sunscreen. It’s a very sweet warm scent, and I’m excited to try it in cooler weather to see what notes come forward. I didn’t smell any resemblance to By The Fireplace (which I also like), no burnt notes detected.

Cookies and Kisses is a scent that says 🍁Welcome Fall🍁. On me it is spicy, nutty, dry and a touch sweet. I love it! Also love the hand feel of the bottle! To extend the life of the scent, I moisturize with Bath and Body Works Bonfire Bash body cream first and then I can smell the goodness for 8-ish hours! I will be wearing this a lot this season. UPDATE: Everytime I wear this (6th time now) I can smell it even stronger! Its so good, but now I need to be careful with how much I spray!

this is SO yummy to me. definitely not cookies, but maybe kisses? I don’t really gravitate towards woodsy or spicy fragrances but this one is amazing and warm and not boring. I do detect a sweetness in this perfume but it’s definitely not the main attraction. it’s like a chilly November day when all the leaves are almost gone and you’re already anticipating Christmas. or drinking a spicy tea and reading a book at nighttime in your favorite sweater. I need this in a full size!

I’m not sure why this is rated so poorly but it is GORGEOUS. Every moment of this fragrance is a dream. There is something very familiar and special about the base notes on this. It’s cozy, soft, woody, delicious. I pick up a beautiful powdery quality that reminds me of my mom, without it smelling too mature. Feminine and lovely, it reminds me of Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. I enjoy this as an every day fragrance, especially in cooler weather.

I was surprised by this fragrance. If I had to pick this blindly, I wouldn't have, but I smelled it first. I don't really like gourmand. I like Woody, spicy scents, but I'd expect this to be gourmand, by the name. It is, but it's more woody, imo. It's so good. I smell chestnut, a woody note and spice, but it's so clean as well. It reminds me of another perfume, but I can't place it. It's definitely not BTFP, to me, at least.

One of my favorites right now. I hope they don’t discontinue. It’s a very cozy winter/fall scent, but can be layered (sparingly) with brighter scents during the summer. Not cloyingly sweet. Has a nice spiciness to it, as well as the sweet gourmand scent I love so much. It reminds me of the Bodycology Campfire S’mores body spray, but lasts much longer & has better sillage.

Just needed to add it's not a perfect dupe of By the Fireplace. It's similar in ways but not a dupe by any means. In this perfume it's woody apples. It is sweet but not teeny bopper sweet. I have no clue why it's called cookies when it's more spicey apple pie. I LOVE IT. If they sold it in big bottles , I'd buy one in a heartbeat !

Oh, how I love this fragrance. I’m on my third bottle. At the risk of sounding controversial, this is better than By the Fireplace. The price is insanely low for such a wonderful, nuanced, long-lasting scent. Cookies & Kisses is an idyllic November evening, a warm hug from your grandmother, a walk in the woods. Buy it right now.

Love it! Most people complain that they expected a super sweet sugar cookie gourmand due to the name, but even the product descriptions describes it as spiced. It's a perfect cold weather spicy warm scent. It becomes more masculine and spicy as it dries down, which I love! Longevity could be better.

Whimsical and sweet fragrance that keeps me happy. It is delicious and pleasant and you cant really go wrong. An amazing scent to layer on top of more musky fragrances. I wish it lasted longer and came in bigger bottles, then it would be the best!
