Coach Blue

I understand where some are coming from with the "generic" statements on most fragrances. I have around 60 fragrances and at a certain point they will all start to smell the same and none really stand out. This is bc it is like an addiction, and you need more, you need something stronger and special to excite your senses, while you're chasing that feeling of nostalgia or that lustful excitement felt when you discovered the intoxicating aroma of your first above average fragrance. The thing is though, that while some are similar and clearly duplicated. They are all still unique and identifiable in their own ways. I would say close your eyes clear your mind and take a moment to actually appreciate each fragrance for what they are. With that said, I personally find this to be a wonderful scent. I do see similarities, but it has its own characteristics. It is blue, sweet, clean, woodsy. Overall just a great fragrance, I have gotten compliments on. It is one of my gf's favorites out of all the ones I have. You will not regret purchasing this. I will for sure buy it again. Also take into consideration that everyone has different taste. It's impossible to go off of what others say. Several times I have seen a fragrance hated on, and I couldn't understand why, and then see one that is loved and it smelled like shaving cream with burnt hair and dirty diapers, or a bouquet of potent flowers and baby powder. I personally like a slight Musk, with strong wood scents, top end fruit or mint, I also enjoy the Tobacco and vanilla. I don't like baby powder or floral scents. Creed Millesime or Sean Jean Unforgivable is my favorite fragrance. Someone else might hate what I like. All scents also smell different on each person. You just have to find what you like and what smells good on you. I have witnessed scents smelling amazing on one person and just stink on another.

I'm getting a burst of freshness right off the bat! This fragrance opens up with some citrusy notes, like lime and bergamot, which gives it a nice zesty kick. It's super refreshing and perfect for the summer months. As it starts to settle down, I'm picking up on some ozone and green notes, which gives it a unique, clean, and slightly aquatic vibe. This is definitely a modern and trendy fragrance, perfect for casual outings or daytime wear. Finally, as we move into the dry down, I'm getting a soft, smooth, and slightly sweet base with notes of amber and cedar. This adds a nice depth to the fragrance, making it versatile and perfect for any man who wants to smell fresh and sophisticated. Now, let's talk about the performance. Coach Blue has moderate longevity and projection. I'd say you can expect to get around 5 to 7 hours of wear, and the projection is just right for those close encounters or when you want to leave a subtle scent trail. So, is Coach Blue worth it? In my opinion, absolutely! It's a perfect everyday scent for men, especially during the warmer months. It's fresh, modern, and versatile, and I can see this working well for guys of all ages. If you're a fan of fragrances like Dior Sauvage or Versace Dylan Blue, you'll definitely want to give this one a try.

One of the most enjoyable summer blue citrus fragrances for personal enjoyment, cool, elegant, easy, and effortless. simply based on notes of lime, absinthe, and ozonic. The rest of the notes mentioned you can barely notice. One of the best fragrances that used the absinthe note in a very refreshing and smooth way. a well-known rule that when you discover a flaw in something perfect, it is a shock that this perfect thing was not as perfect in its merits as expected. This rule applies perfectly to this fragrance. Unfortunately, the performance of the fragrance is very weak and almost unnoticeable. In other words, it is suitable for personal enjoyment only. - Is it a heat killer? Yes, definitely. The best time to use it is on hot summer mornings. also suitable for light walking, clubs, gyms, beaches, and swimming pools. - Is it a generic fragrance? Actually, yes. It doesn't offer anything new, but it does offer a special kind of pleasure for lovers of light perfumes. The bottle comes in a stunning gradient blue design in the traditional shape of the Coach fragrance series. My personal rating: An unforgettable fragrance if you are a fan of light, refreshing blue fragrances at a reasonable price.

Okay, I have to disclose that I am definitely biased for this fragrance as it was my first proper bottle ever. Despite this being rated as a spring/summer fragrance, I feel that you could wear this any day of the year, no matter the weather or the time. It is a really versatile smell that won't be displeasing for people to smell. My only gripe with this fragrance is the cap on the bottle. I am shocked that mine didn't break off while I was using it. It is really badly designed and feels super cheap. But you know what else is cheap? This fragrance! However, it doesn't last as long as other designer fragrances. You will have to respray in the afternoon, or more frequently during warmer weather. Like, it lasts. But by the end of the day you can only smell it very very faintly. Honestly, if you are just looking for something to buy just so you can smell good this will do the trick. It worked for me so it will probably work for you.

As with the Coach line in general, Coach Blue is an incredibly safe, inoffensive, mass appealing, value buys for a Blue scent out there. Surprisingly bright opening, fresh and ozonic. I also really like the lime note in this. Not overly done, but just pleasantly noticeable. Again, if you just consider the relatively low price of this (online for around $50/3.3oz. if not much less for a tester) and so judge it on the "you get what you pay for" factor, then I think it meets if not exceeds its price. Is it my favorite Blue scent out there? No, of course not. But is it my favorite Blue scent at this price point (factoring in added discounts from sellers online)? Probably yes. (And I have both Nautica Voyage and N83--slightly better performers for sure, but lesser scents compared to Coach Blue in my humble opinion.)

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I don't get the hate, it's generic for sure but so is the OG Coach for Men and Platinum is great but takes the DNA from Coach and adds cashmere, so Coach isn't ultra unique, it's whole line is for Mass Appeal, which Coach does very well. That said, blue is....well...BLUE! This is actually a crisp and ozonic, lime scent with a touch of amber and cedar. Showe gel-ish and a "dumb reach" for sure. I wanted to complete my Coach collection so this was bought as a tester for $35. Don't pay full retail for any Coach, they are great but the best is Platinum by far. I enjoy Blue and will definitely rock it come summer, with a refresh decant of course. Solid at $35 and will look good in the collection. I give it a 7/10 for being what it is, mass appeal with moderate EVERYTHING!

A fresh and appealing, but subtle fragrance. Nothing new in terms of its scent profile. You've probably smelled something similar to this before. Definitely, does not have any wow factor to it. However, it pulls this similar scent profile off quite well. This will get you compliments. Opens with a nice sweet, but refreshing, lime and airy ozonic notes. Then dries down to the cedarwood pretty smoothly. Slightly reminds me of Old Spice "Swagger" body wash, but done a lot better. Perfect for spring and summer. Both old and young can easily wear this. Overall, a nice, casual, and enjoyable fragrance to have.

I think this fragrance is AMAZING. This was my first designer freshie that i owned, and - wow is it amazing. You get this nice, fresh, citrusy and slightly spicy smell from the citrus and pepper notes, then it goes to a nice woody dry down. Honestly, fragrances like these are top notch for me and i couldn't go wrong with it at all. It has pretty good longevity and okay projection, but the bottle's atomizer can feel cheap. Despite that, the scent is a 10/10, but in general - It's a 9/10. One point taken off only due to it's atomizer, but beside that, this is an amazing fresh and great blind buy.

Great inoffensive wear anywhere cologne. Coach did a great job in making this beauty, it opens with a strong lime and Absinthe with Ozonic notes. When it dries down the lime is a little bit more prominent but that's when to cedar and amber come into play, then it smells like lime ozonic woodsy musk. For me this lasts around 6~7 hours. This is a great office fragrance and it is light, very inoffensive, everyone like its and you smell nice clean, and limey. Is it basic? Yes. But does it smell fresh, masculine, and aquatic and absolutely great for every occacion? Yes! You literally can't go wrong with this cologne. It's a perfect gift you can give any man. My brother got it as a gift and I personally really love it. Yes it's basic, and yes I have smelled similar scents many times. People jsut sometimes want to be "niche" and "not basic" but honestly you just can't go wrong with this scent for $40-50.

It's nothing out of this world but it's an extremely easy dumb reach for almost every occasion. Beautiful fresh citrusy blue fragrance with hints of aquatic notes that make it extremely easy to wear and a huge compliment getter. I just wish Coach made EDPs of their current lineup as the longevity is quite poor unless you overspray 10-15+ times. My normal 5 is definitely not enough with this one as it fades within 3 hours tops.

Pretty good. This is like an intense version of the freshies from the 90s, accompanied by a touch of fizz. Kind of has a cologne guy vibe about it, its hard to put into words. Describing it by notes is a bit pointless because it is very synthetic. Not inspired by Sauvage or Chanel Bleu but has a certain versatility that lands it in the blue genre. Some similarity to Chrome Aqua, but no calone here

Wow.. What a Blue.. after all of the blah blah Blues on the stage they say.. When was the last time you get hints of issey from a blue frag.. It is nice the lime is fresh smelling, nothing stale in the dry down at all.. not long lasting, but the new colognes, hey its 2020.. we wear masks..lol.. Stay safe everyone..wash wash scrub scrub.. and if nothing else we will smell good.

Excellent fresh/blue fragrance, nothing groundbreaking, but a pleasant, inoffensive scent you can wear for any occasion. It's my go-to fragrance for work during spring/summer. Preformance could be better but it's not terrible either. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable fresh, blue dumb-reach. 8.1/10

This is simply an amazing scent It was my first fragrance ever but still holds up with the other fresh scents I own. over time I feel it lost the metallic edge and smoothed down to a sweeter freshness.The main problem I have with it and many other is the longevity it feels like you constantly have to reapply it.

This is my personal favorite out of the line, it’s definitely not a scent that will blow you away, especially if you have a larger collection. However, it is crowd pleasing and smells great. This is a nobrainer fragrance, though it lacks in performance for the price you can just overspray. Overall solid 7/10

This fragrance is absolutely a good one! But it seems does not work well with my skin. I think it is like the Molecule O1 kind of fragrance. Not offensive, very intimate, and girls like it. One of a great summer Netflix & chill fragrance.

Very nice blue /shower gel fragrance for daily use. I think that this can be used any time of the year when you want to smell clean and fresh. This has average performance and biggest issue is the sprayer. 7.5/10

I love it. Warm summer days. Masculine, but leans unisex. Fresh and uplifting blue scent. Might be sort of generic, but still a good daily driver. Lime and Absinthe are main players.

Fresh and clean cologne-y smells. Smells typically yet my girlfriend freaking loves this one and she tells me its unique. Easily one of my favorite daily drivers!

My husband bought this scent recently and it drives me crazy in the best way! It wears more on the green and plant-y side in him but it smells SOOOOO GOOD!!!

Despite people calling this generic, I don't get reminded of any recent or old fragrances within the blue family. Closest thing to me is Montblanc Ultrablue, and even then, this smells better than that. Scent: I get a refreshing, citrusy and oceanic opening, like a breath of fresh air. Uncomplicated, musky kind of vibe. I dig the woods used in this fragrance, they make it light, transparent and super clean. Great for pretty much any occasions. This will not rival superstars like Sauvage or YSL Y but it will get the job done, and from this scent profile, if you live in a hot, humid climate, you'll probably pull a lot of compliments. The differentiating factor in this fragrance I'd say is how sharp it manages to be without being offensive, you could over spray this and no one would bat an eye, but you'd be present for sure. Performance: I'm surprised at how many people say this lacks in performance, but this is a bomb on my skin (meaning, I get strong projection). I wore this twice today just because I had to take a shower, if I didn't this probably would've stayed on my skin past the 6 hour mark, which is surprising considering this is such a fresh and airy scent. Strong projection for 2 hours and stays a lot as a skin scent, will probably last 5-6 hours regularly. Great price per mL, if you have a small collection and want a true dumb reach that is better than most "everyday" scents in top 10 lists that is inexpensive, all ages, classy and sexy get this. If you have a large collection of designers and niche, there's no point in this for you. Over all, great for beginners, redundant for seasoned collectors, try it out at least and see if you like it, not blind buy safe though. 6.8/10

It's refreshing and mass appealing, blending citrus, herbal, spicy, ozonic, powdery and light woody notes together. The ozonic notes are what give the sea water smell and remind you of a a tropical beach when combined with the other notes. This is a quality fragrance, as good as any other designer "blue freshie" on the market. It's casual, pleasant and fresh. It follows the formula to a "T" perfectly, and this ironically is Coach Blue's biggest issue -- it faces a ton of designer and even some discount "blue freshie" competition on the market of equal quality. This makes it hard to stand out from all the YSL "Y"'s, Chanel Bleu's and Nautica "Voyages" and the like that are out on the market. This is great for both older and younger users, to be used in warmer weather. Performance is average, but that tends to be typical for blue freshies. It's a good addition if you're lacking one of those in your collection and want to give the DNA a try. Recommended.

The third bottle from this collection, and again I find it easy to wear in summer in spite of being simple and somewhat generic. The key words are aquatic, clean and light. It opens with clean fresh citrusy scent. It is watery and airy. Absinthe is very noticeable here, it is not boozy; instead, it brings this herbal aromatic nuance. As it develops on my skin, I get more and more this ocean-like smell, wet and slightly salty, but definitely clean and fresh. It has this cooling effect on a hot summer day. However, on the other hand, the projection weakens. Unfortunately, black pepper is hardly detectable to my nose; I was expecting the peppery note would spice it up and bring something special to this aquatic smell. The drydown is simple but pleasant. You get this clean woody cedar note. Like the other bottle Coach for Men, this one also resembles men's shower gel. I think because of its airy aquatic notes, it is also suitable to be a gym perfume. Normally I get sick from perfumes with aquatic notes; luckily this one does not give me nausea. Both longevity and sillage are reasonable considering the price.

This review is based on the heavily discounted price that you can normally pick this up at, at full retail price you would be having me here saying this is the biggest scam on Earth. I totally agree that this is generic, It's pretty difficult to recognize Coach Blue in the air even after I've used it quite a bit. But comically that's one of it's biggest streghts for what it tries to do, this doesn't have anything that could be considered divisive unlike other blue type fragrances do, like Sauvage with the heavy pepper accord or Dylan Blue with the Incense note, which are fragrances I really like btw, this plays it the most absolutely safe, it is well blended, so you don't get that alcohol blast on the opening like other cheapies can have so you can carry a little decant bottle and respray it safely during the day when you feel it fading away, perfect for work, school and most air conditioned scenarios where you don't want to slap people in the face with your fragrance.

I don't understand why Coach can't invest in a better atomizer. It's 2025, let's be better. Opens really nicely with fresh citrus notes. After 2 minutes it becomes this melting pot of notes that's difficult to make out. I guess that's the ozonic and pepper. After another 15 minutes you really start getting the pepper mixed with the woodiness. There are hints of ozonic in there that keeps it fresh. This is actually a very nice take on a blue scent. I wasn't impressed at first but after a few minutes I really started to like it. Most blues will fade quickly or smell like cleaning products. This has some bite. It's refreshing and also nostalgic in a way. There's a mix of creaminess and sharpness to it that really makes it attractive. Projection is fairly weak. 8.4/10

Ive had this for about 4 or 5 weeks now, and oddly its one I keep coming back to. I like how refreshing it is. I see this as a general "clean" scent that is inoffensive. Its good, and I really like it. Is it generic? maybe, a little bit, but not terribly so, and not generic enough for me to not want to keep it. I bought it for about $32 USD and think its worth every penny. I still prefer the original as a scent overall, but Im not upset with this one at all. Projection: 3/5 Longevity: 3/5 Scent: 4/5 Im a fan, and happy to have it in my collection. Best use case, hot and warm weather, even gym. its just so clean. But it really is versatile, so you could wear it whenever and wherever. Easy reach.

I agree with others who say this is generic, but I have to say, it's a generic scent done very well. An aquatic blue in the style of so many other modern colognes, it won't help you stand out from the crowd, but it will absolutely make you smell *good*. It's very well-balanced and would be hard to dislike. As a woman, I would enjoy smelling this on a man. Note: the lime and absinthe are not particularly noticeable, but they do add a bit of freshness along with a hint of a medicinal property. Personally, I have to focus really hard to pick up on either of them.

This fragrance isn't bad. It is a moderate-weak-powered fragrance freshie. this is a good gym scent, but only buy it on sale due to the price going very low. The atomiser is bad. Only projects a little in the first 2 hours. If you want to buy this, you have to re-apply a lot. The scene gets boring quickly compared to Coach Green. I suggest buying either coach green because of the unique Kiwi note or coach black because of its simplicity. Coch blue isn't unique and smells basic. You should probably buy coach green or black instead.

Limey, that's an aquatic! I've said in the past I think Coach Blue is the weakest of the line, and that does hold, but more because I really like the OG EDT, their beautiful EDP, the amazing Platinum EDP, and the solid Green EDT. The open does offer up a distinct lime note, though absinthe only comes through for me in first couple of seconds and at very close proximity to skin. The middle is airy ozonic with just a little bit of salt, with a soft ambroxan cedar base. It's a like but don't love. Gym and quick outings only.

This is the definition of "dumb reach." This fragrance is perfect for casual wear, whether you're at the gym or running errands. It is easy to wear and has a pleasant, inoffensive scent that is sure to please everyone. The scent is reminiscent of a fresh, clean shower gel, making it ultra casual and playful. While the Coach for men line is generally very good, I would rank this fragrance at the bottom simply because the other fragrances in the line are so exceptional. I give Coach Blue a score of 6.7/10.

This fragrance gets a lot of flak for being "generic" but I don't think it should. It's fresh, well-blended, and VERY easy to wear. Typical citrus/ozonic opening with some pepper adding a little bit of kick and a gentle woody drydown; there's nothing new under the sun here but I would take it over anything in the "this perfume reminds me of" section 10 times out of 10 and it lasts longer than most of those recommendations as well. Sometimes you just want to smell good. Don't overthink it.

Smells fresh and sweet. Nice Drydown. However, it does not last as long as I'd like. Overall, I'd give it 3.8 out of 5. Id say 4 + if it lasted longer. If you are going to buy this one Walmart has it for $52.00 for the 3.30z. Ulta has it for 67.00 for the 2 oz. I compared both purchases and Walmart is legit. I highly recommend checking Walmart. Though it is best to buy the sold and shipped from Walmart rather than the 3rd parties. Many 3rd party websites Sell knockoffs.

Citrus, clean woods, slightly sweet. It's nothing special. Around 6 hrs longevity and ok sillage. For $35 at discounters this isn't bad, I prefer it to nautical voyage, perry ellis blue, Lacoste blanc and other cheap fresh fragrances because the quality is better. This fragrance is a 6/10, but that's really ok. It's my go-to for when it's blazing hot or I'm going to do outdoor activities. If you need a fragrance for when it's really hot then I would recommend it.

Very nice smelling shower gel like lime opening with some ozonic notes. I couldn't tell you the base scents because it's almost completely gone inside an hour on my skin. At discount it's an ok buy, but it's very weak. If you can get this for like $20 then go ahead. For what it is, I'd recommend Nautica Voyage N-83 instead. N-83 has better longevity and sillage. Absolutely a "carry it with you" fragrance.

Like all of the coach for men line, it smells very nice and ARE hidden gems. Just they all have the same weakness which are they are very short lasting. Such a shame. Some people might say that coach blue smells too synthetic and it smells like a very default ocean blue fragrance, but I don't think that's true. I still think coach green is better than coach blue.

This, like the other Coach for Men fragrances, is an excellent value for the price on discounters. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, it's a likeable blue scent for the warm weather that can be worn for casual situations or at the office. Average performance. Note: The bottles in this line look cool, but the atomizers leave something to be desired.

It’s good. Smells fresh and clean but that’s about it. Reminds me of a body wash I’ve smelled before not sure which one specifically. Good work scent and very inoffensive. Nothing special about it, this is not a must have fragrance, but it’s a solid scent from coach. Don’t pay full price for this. Rating: 3.75/5

Youthful, light, generic, but pleasant. I like it. Got it as a gift. Probably wouldn’t buy it myself, but it’s not a bad scent just not as interesting as I’d like. Guess I’m becoming a bit of a snob. After about 30 minutes the fragrance changes and smells like a pleasant and manly Sprite or 7UP! Very nice!

Generic mass appealing soap fragrance. Smells good but you would be better off with something like light blue Intense or Azzaro Chrome Extreme. I think I wore it 5 times and got 1 compliment. This fragrance will get you these compliments: "you smell clean" or a simple "you smell good"

This smells like the blue axe shower gel in a good way. Great for the gym or running day time errands, smells like you just bathed in a masculine shower gel. Pretty good versatility and lasts about 6 hours. Can be a workhorse if you're looking for a generic blue shower gel type scent.

Good fragrance. Applied at 10pm night and woke up at 10.30 am morning...could still smell it. Some people say it doesnt last long due to edt concentration..it may depend on your body chemistry. Good everyday scent for office and those spray and go errands. Generic. But nice.

Maybe I need to smell this on skin. When I saw "lime and absinthe" in the notes, I expected something a little more remarkable. But on paper, it was pretty generic as a fresh men's fragrance. It's fine. But since I like lime and find it underused, I'll revisit it!

Classic blue freshie. Great dumb reach for any occasion where you want to smell like you’re right out of the shower. Very clean and inoffensive. It lasts a decent while outside in the sun but you might need to reapply regularly otherwise. Layers nicely with ADG.
