Coach Poppy Blossom

I'm really surprised that this fragrance isn't as popular as it should be and it could be because it is just an ordinary scent with just a brand name labeling it. With that being said, I still somehow managed to fall in love with this scent. I originally went to the store to purchased the original coach poppy and while that particular fragrance is still on my "want" list, when the saleslady told me that Coach Poppy Blossom was now a part of their permanent line, I decided to give it a try. I only recently been building my perfume collection and I've been on the hunt for a signature and I think I may have found it at least for now. Now I'm not good at detecting the notes and all that stuff but this is a sweet and fruity fragrance on my skin. I detect a strawberry note and maybe honey? I'm not sure. I've heard that this scent isn't that long lasting but when I tell you that I sprayed this on my wrist right before I went to bed and when I woke up in the morning, it was still there which means that it lasted on my skin for nearly eleven hours and that's pretty damn long lasting to me. But most perfumes that people say aren't long lasting on them, tend to be long lasting on me which I've always found sort of odd. The first spray is a bit strong so when you are first spraying this onto your skin and your clothes, do NOT overdue it because you can get a headache. But eventually after a minute or so, it dries down into the sweet, delectable smell that I fell in love with. I've never been a Coach fan but I can honestly say that they make some pretty nice fragrances and that's saying a lot since I'm so picky about what I wear.

I got this as part of a small 3 pack sampler long ago, and I still haven't forgotten it. I typically strongly dislike 'flanker' scents- they're almost always worse in some way. This is the only flanker that is leaps and bounds better than the original, and I have no idea why they would discontinue it. The other flanker I tried (Wildflower) was generic and forgettable- another attempt to 'floralize' an original scent with a boring result. This was something special and I treasure the remaining amount and intend to hoard it like a dragon. The strange part is that nothing in the scent profile breakdown is something I would have chosen myself. I abhor anything fruity since bath and bodyworks assailed my nostrils in the 90's. It doesn't describe spice anywhere, but it is slightly spicy. It's so hard to describe how sweet spicy and wonderful this is at the finish. The pyramid and accords both make sense and none at all- it's so well blended- it's like a fragrance that stood on the shoulders of coach poppy and made it so much better than the original profile. It added spice and complexity- leaps better than original. How silly they discontinued it. Get it together Coach.

The perfume industry discontinues fragrances before they even have a chance to circulate for others who aren't carefully watching for the next release to come out from our fave brand... Not all perfumistas follow a brand diligently like that. It's almost like all brands only cater to those that follow them religiously and then forget the rest of the world, although we're consumers too and we're not fly by the night kind either, running to whatever's popular now. No, we're the loyal ones who appreciate a great fragrance and will commit to it for a lifetime and beyond cuz our heirs will likely fall in love with it too. These brands need to stop being so shallow, stop trying to keep up with the Joneses, stop churning out run of the mill, stop being such a follower and lead for once! Dang! It's really not a competition! It shouldn't be about who makes the most money ( and wastes the most of Earth's resources), it should be about quality and authentic expression of one self, embracing who you are. Not changing to fit in with whoever the in crowd is in the moment just to make more money 🤑

I really love this fragrance (I’ve had it since it came out!), but I was really shocked when I read the notes! To me, Poppy Blossom smells like a woody floral with a little vanilla, and a touch of sweet fruity notes. I don’t smell any strawberry at all (that’s fine with me since it’s not a note I typically love in fragrances), but I do pick up a slight mandarin scent. I’ve always thought Coach Poppy Blossom was a beautiful and romantic fragrance. Not as sweet as the original Poppy, but also not quite as woodsy floral as Poppy Wild Flower, but I do feel that it’s closer to Wild Flower. I do also happen to be a big fan of Coach Legacy and Coach Dreams Sunset I typically get great longevity with my fragrances, and Poppy Blossom is no exception... it lasts all day on me! It’s got nice projection too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. For reference, some of the other floral fragrances I love are: Coach Love(OG), Coach Legacy, Coach Poppy Wild Flower, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Nest Golden Nectar, Flowerbomb, FB Ruby Orchid, FB Nectar, FB Extreme, Chloe Love Story

I bought this in rollerball form in Sephora on a whim. This is the epitome of a cheerful spring/summer day. It's light, slightly fresh, sweet, fruity, reminds me of a picnic in the park on a nice warm afternoon. To be honest, I only wish I could get a bit more sillage with this one, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I get mostly strawberry, litchi, freesia, vanilla & a hint of praline. Give it a sniff! Can't wait to start using this up during spring and summer! <3 It's a simple & understated beauty in my opinion! Scent: 8/10! Longevity: About 5 hours on me before fading. Sillage: Soft, stays close to the skin. Would I repurchase? Probably, if it was on sale! Update: Glad I saved this for the summer! It's beautiful in the heat, it actually brings a smile to my face! Loving this right now! :) My favorite note in this is the strawberry/litchi combo. <3
