Open Road

Oh, how I long for the open road! Wayfarers on, the wind in my hair, and the sun just disappearing behind the horizon like it has somewhere else to be. What could be better than that? Oh yeah, smelling fantastic along the way! I don't know what's worse, a near perfect scent that only has the staying power of high school me, trying to make it around third base in the back seat of a Toyota Camry; or a perfectly mediocre scent that goes all day like some super-focused tantra guru trying to find enlightenment through what can only be described as aggressive self-loatheing. Coach Open Road flirts with both more often than the bad boy on whatever season of Big Brother you choose. One minute it’s all “hey babe, I'm not like all the others; hop in, let’s chase the sunset and reinvent ourselves” and the next it’s ghosting you harder than a college situationship who just “needed some space to focus on the band.” like you were the distraction! And listen, when Open Road is ON, it is eff'n on! That lemon/apple sparkle hits like the first sip of a gas‐station Sprite on a 103° Carolina afternoon. The sort of heat that makes walking across the street feel more like swimming through the air. Then the pepper jumps in like it’s trying to impress your dad. All "yes, sir" and "no, sir" and "of course I'll have her home by curfew, sir." You know the type. In comes the lavender and sage doing that whole “I’m clean but not boring, I promise” routine. And the woods in the base? They whisper sweet nothings like they have absolutely no intention of texting you tomorrow. Because then... then it pulls its little disappearing act! One minute its whispering in your ear that it cant believe this is finally happening, then it takes off like it has unresolved commitment issues. One moment I’m a windswept protagonist in a coming‐of‐age drama, and the next I’m sniffing my wrist like a coked-up raccoon trying to remember where it buried its emotional support Snickers bar! It’s not gone, exactly; more like it’s standing behind me breathing softly, hoping I’ll notice it without making a scene. And I do notice. Because I love it. I really do. I just wish it loved me back for more than four hours at a time. Coach Open Road is that friend who shows up late, looks incredible, buys the first round and tells the funniest story you’ve ever heard... and then Irish‐goodbyes before the appetizers arrive like a social Houdini! And you forgive 'em EVERY SINGLE TIME because the highs are JUST that good. But you also keep a backup friend on speed dial. One who takes reliability more seriously, but just can't pull off the same level of personality. Totally friend-zoned. Still... when it’s there, it’s sunshine‐on‐chrome, baby! It’s freedom‐in‐a‐bottle. It is the open road itself. And honestly... I’ll take fleeting greatness over eternal mediocrity any day. So spray it on, enjoy the ride; but maybe bring a travel atomizer like the emotionally prepared adult you pretend to be. You'll thank me later.

Thankfully Herault aka 'Mr Aventus' is firing on all cylinders and delivers the best mainstream fresh offering of the last few years. Looking at the notes this could be interchangeable with a dozen other things but the magic here is how it's put together and the resulting smell. First things first, the performance is not nuclear. This is an EDT and performs like one, it's on the subtle side in terms of projection & won't be detectable for a whole day. Now for the good stuff - off the top you get a sharp citrus mingling with a sweet take on the 'blue' accord we've smelled a million times. Within 20 seconds there's more of a fruityness coming through - it's juicy, delicious and has a candy like quality. The dominant fruit you get here is apple, specifically a juicy, red, tangy sort of red apple. Sounding familiar yet? Anyone who knows Herault knows his skill at creating these fruity accords specifically involving apple. The mid is built around this apple note that is at once juicy, sweet & tangy. It settles further to a woody base that is equally as well executed - smooth, creamy with a slightly dark, peppery edge. So to summarize - juicy red apple over creamy woods that settles to a woody/fruity accord with a slight soapy finish. Fantastic smell transcending any materials which would lump it in the 'blue' fragrance category. Herault takes a common enough theme and gives his own twist, ironically takes us right back to something we've smelled before and nobody has been able to replicate. If the droves of Aventus clones are anything to go by, the secret sauce isn't just those captive molecules but Herault's masterful execution of fruity accords that delight the masses.

Coach Open Road New 2022 coach frag. Opens fruity cirtusy from the lemon and red apple but I get the woodiness immediately in it also. It has this D&g K vibe but it definitely smells better, more mass Appealing. Actually it's a very nice scent as it develops. It also gives off a class blue designer/niche vibe along the lines of Bdc/Roja Elysium etc and the heart notes here give me some Sauvage vibes mainly because I'm so used to the Sichuan pepper and lavender. The perfumer is Jean-Christophe Hérault. Best know for his collab with Erwin Creed for Adventus and he's also the Spice Bomb Extreme creator. As the scent develops I'm getting Vetiver and the woodiness still there. I think it's gonna be rather unrated since I've heard nothing much about Open Road since it's 2022 release. Verdict: a very nice underated class designer/niche frag for the men

Opening feels very musky, the lavender, sage and apple are very prominent and then settles to a clean and approachable scent most would appreciate with the peppers, vetiver, cedar and parchouli coming out very pleasantly. This might smell very generic to some, but it truly feels like they did something that needed to be done for a long time for office scents. Most give too much of a note or another-fighting for dominance, making it a mess. This feels balanced and well thought out. Unisex, but leaning more masculine-and in the best way. Wish it lasted longer, but for the price and what this does, it’s quite right. I’ll probably buy another bottle. Scent: 8/10 Sillage: 4/10 Longevity: 5/10 Quality: 8/10 Value: 7/10 Would definitely recommend for anyone that doesn’t want to be loud, wants to smell clean, grown and put together.

This stuff is pretty incredible. Very masculine, airy, and fresh. I would say coach knocked it out of the park on this one. It was designed to go straight to discounters and for what it is, it is superb. Pretty much all the perfume outlet stores will have a tester of this. I strongly recommend trying it out. The strong pepper may be causing people to go nose blind. It doesn’t have insane performance but for about 6 hours it will lift into the air off the skin. Perfect to wear during the day and then change fragrances for night. Really impressed by this, good job coach. Aroma: 10/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Value: 10/10

I love it personally. I wish it lasted longer since it can be cloying if oversprayed but this is a beautiful earthy patchouli heavy scent profile that has fresh and warm spicy qualities to it with a hint of citrus. Definitely a great signature scent in my opinion, with the only downside being that it lasts about 3-5 hours on my skin tops and stops projecting within an hour. I really wish coach would release an EDP line for all their fragrances. When you take into consideration that all their fragrances go for $30 at discounters though, they're really all steals in my honest opinion!

I’m a barber (female) and my first client of the day was wearing this. At first I thought it was spice bomb but I could tell there was something in there that made it smell light and fresh but still spicy, also it’s spring and warming up so I knew it couldn’t be that. Anyways immediately I told him how good he smelled and had to ask what it was. I cannot comment on longevity but I could say I smelled it about a couple feet away so decent sillage. This is a wonderful easy going scent. Perfect for running errands but could be warn anytime. Very appealing I liked it a lot😌

Very nice scent- it’s a simple, airy, fresh, spicy type fragrance with a clean/soapy touch. The Vetiver and Sage are the main players to my nose. Performance is average 4-6hrs. This often gets compared to “K”, I suppose Open Road smells similar to the dry down of K. The main difference between the two is that Open Road doesn’t have that cloyingly sweet opening. Imo, the overall scent is more similar to Burberry Hero EDT. Essentially 85% the same fragrance just more green and slightly less woody. 8/10 overall for me 😊

Smelled promising when I pulled it out of the box. Smelled even better when I sprayed it on. Received a compliment the first time I wore it. Aromatic, woody and spicy with a tiny bit of sweetness. Firmly masculine. Super pleasant. Made by the same man that created Creed's Aventus, this stuff is just good. I don't know how any man wouldn't like this. With the price being so ridiculously low on discounters and the fact that it can be worn all year in any situation, there's no reason not to pick it up.

I found both the black Coach for Men and Coach Open Road at my local Burlington. I think I paid $35 for each 40 ml bottle, which wasn't the deal of the century, but also not bad. I like Open Road more than the other Coach fragrance I own, but I really like them both. Open Road has more of a black pepper scent, that I really like. I think this is one of my favorite fragrances I've found at Burlington so far.

A great fragrance from the nose of Mr Harult, a typical 'blue' which can be worn anytime of year but leaning towards days & S/S. Dunno why people are hitting on this,it's a very nice new release with outstanding quality imo,and only paying £25 for a 40ml the price is exceptional,don't believe the haters on this fragrance,who probably haven't even got their noses on it yet.

I really enjoy this scent, the first 30min we have this traditional barbershop smell which I’m impartial to. But once we get past that it matures into a beautiful soft soapy and fresh scent that lasts for ~5hours on skin. I can see why I haven’t heard much about it; the basic barbershop opening and shorter performance but I don’t mind considering it’s an edt.

I really enjoy this one. This is definitely one of my signature daily scents. Works perfectly for the everyday man. Won’t offend anybody or be too loud. It’s a mature D&G K style frag with a very spiced twist. It’s better quality than K. Lots of pepper which translates to professional and smart! Give this one a shot guys you’ll enjoy that drydown

This stuff is sooooooo underrated!!! Developed by the same nose who made creed aventus and it shows. Slightly sweet and very soapy. Lasts 5 hours on me. It’s a great daily fragrance. It’s less than 30 bucks on discounters which is crazy. Hidden gem WE MUST GATEKEEP THIS!

Wish I read reviews before I bought it. It literally just smells like K by D and Gabbana which I already own🤦♂️. It’s pretty weak like 3hr longevity maybe 5hr if u overspray like 10+. Gave it away.

Redundant and weak smells like Tommy Hilfiger impact edt and dolce & gabanna king edp also doesn’t last long 3 hours and it’s gone

It’s Montblanc explorer but not as juicy or rich. Very light and airy, sexy though. Very nice. 8.5/10

Very underrated fragrance, in my opinion. It smells great: clean, fresh, and masculine. It gives me blue fragrance vibes for sure and features the Coach for Men DNA that most of their men's line has at the base. The fragrance features aromatics and citrus over woody notes. It is extremely linear and I wish it had more of a transition during wear. This is what I would expect the drydown of a high end blue fragrance to smell like, if it did change and evolve I think it would have been a much more well received release. Performance is smack dab middle of what I would consider average for both longevity and projection. It's safe for all seasons and occasions even though I think it would get lost in the cooler months. I have heard that this was discontinued recently. I am glad I got a 60 ml bottle a couple months ago, although I doubt I will ever get all of the way through it. This is great for casual wear and I find that it's a relaxing scent profile. I usually just wear this around the house and running errands. This is one of those fragrances that I would say are good for people that are only going to own one thing and would make a decent signature scent, although there are definitely better options. The only real negative objective criticism I have for this is the performance contrasting against the original price, but that's pretty much irrelevant when you take into account the current price on discounters. I have seen this compared to D&G K EDP, but I honestly think this smells better even if performance is a bit worse. If you like this kind of scent profile, Tumi Atlas has a somewhat similar scent profile and much better performance, it also is much less linear and only costs about 20-25% more and is a much stronger buy in my opinion. Edit: I found a 100ml bottle of Tumi Atlas for $30 at Burlington today, so I would just skip Open Road and buy that if you can find it for the same price. Open Road is selling for basically the same price at discounters and lacks the performance and evolution of Atlas. As for this one, 73/100

I got 4 complements with this within a month. Opens up with a somehow sweet but juicy red apple then dries down to a more peppery scent along with a fresher apple. The apple in this fragrance is very addicting and mass appealing, hence the compliments. The opening is quite metallic so it smells clean but can be extremely cloying in small rooms / in cars for the first 30 minutes but then the metallic scent becomes smoother and less 'up in your face'. This does seem to have the aventus DNA in it. Performance is cheeks, I get around 20 minutes of loud projection but then tones down to moderate projection for another 20 minutes before becoming a skin scent. I do get a lot more projection in high heat. The overall performance is about 2-4 hours for me with 3-6 sprays but you can overspray since it is inexpensive. You should wear this in the spring, summer, maybe fall and can easily rock this both day and night since it is both fresh and sweet. For the presentation, the atomizer is painfully below-average but the bottle design is clean, however, there is no bottle cap. In conclusion, this is a great fragrance if you want a summer cheapie that has the aventus DNA but is unique at the same time with that juicy red apple (and buns performance). This could be a signature for a beginner and can also be a dumb reach for a more experienced collector. This is such an underrated designer and with the low price tag in mind, I rate this a solid 7.9/10. I would gatekeep this if it had better performance. If you can't be asked to read all that here is my summary: Scent = Apple, metallic, peppery, aventus DNA (but somehow unique) Performance = 2-4 hours, good projection for 20-30 mins but then turns to a skin scent. My wife picked this out for me. We have polar opposite olfactory preferences. Out of all of the seemingly endless fragrances that to me, blend into one type of expression that represents the current time period (like how Halston 1-12 seems to express the powdery, soapy 1970s) this one stood apart enough for me to make a conciliatory purchase. I am not disappointed that I did. Other reviews aptly acknowledge this is similar to many other fragrances today, and ironically, that is what I like to avoid. However, the evolution of the fragrance is what makes it enjoyable to me. The apple in the opening was a good idea. It provides an intriguing depth, which caught my attention enough to not lose patience with the otherwise citrus opening. It proceeded a little generically, but pleasantly. Another reviewer mentioned "bug spray" and I wish I hadn't read that because I feel like the suggestion is why I can detect it. Nevertheless, I can admit I don't mind the smell of bug spray... My favorite aspect of the fragrance is when it settles to a nice, subtle, almost-leather. I enjoy leather fragrances and though it is not a listed note, it suggests leather the way Bleu de Chanel does for me, despite that fragrance not being a leather fragrance either. I believe it is the patchouli in each, done nicely. The performance is on the weak side, but that just means it dries to my favorite aspect of it sooner. I believe the difference between my wife's preferences and my preferences is in the approach to fragrances in general. I like hunting for exotic combinations of notes and fragrances that evoke atmospheres we don't tend to find inspiring. I think my wife just likes things she thinks smell good. With this fragrance, I believe I was willing to change my approach. I like this one a lot.

It will be the next big designer. The classic "get the market" from Coach playbook a-la Coach for Men has returned. Classic but effective eau de toilette Positive points: - A bottle with a clear, refined design, thin and easy to hold. - Old time apothecary feel --> Snob appeal (+++). Think Mid-Century Modern, but for PERFUMES! - Easy to store or take in a bag for vacation. Really can't emphasize this enough: This bottle is what luxury should be. Old money chic, in bottle form. You'll 'Get it' once you see and hold the bottle in person. - Adapts to many situations, can be worn in a professional context or otherwise. It does not smell 'Cologne guy' like. Get it? - Pleasant fresh and woody scent. - The fragrance itself is fresh, powerful yet subtle. Different note emerge from this perfume giving it multiple subtleties, phases. Pleasant to wear all day long, its smell persists without disturbing those around you who, on the contrary, greatly appreciate it. It is both woody and sweet. Cons: - Discreet smell, maybe a little too discreet. <> Think of that as: It is not a room filler, it's something that someone will smell, and if they're curious, they will seek it out. It doesn't intrude into their nostrils after the first hour. If I had to compare that longevity to a fragrance on the market with the exact same quality, I would give you Le Labo's Another 13 or Bergamote 22. In that they draw people in, but don't really push out after the first hour. All in all, I recommend if you are looking for a versatile, discreet and pleasant eau de toilette. By the way since I don't see it mentioned: It's available in every single format you can dream of: 15 ml dab, 40ml 60ml 100ml spray. I was able to purchase this before launch in France.

It reminds me a lot of Montblanc Explorer, which completely outclasses this one and makes this a redundant part of my collection.. but my girlfriend bought it for me, the bottle is sleek, the price is good.. I like it for what it is. The red apple note is noticeable and appealing. I wore it to work for a couple weeks. Had to spray it 2 or 3 times during my shift to refresh. It fades fast. I think there's something nice about having a bottle that you wouldn't care if it ran out. I'd say throw it in your bag, but there's no cap and no way to stop this from spraying itself everywhere. People watch too many YouTube influencers and parrot things like "Aventus DNA" but it really doesn't smell like Aventus. Just because it has like 3 notes in common. It's time to let comparing everything to Aventus die. If it had "Aventus DNA" or they wanted to make Aventus, there would be pineapple and birch, the two most noticeable notes in Aventus. I get that it's nice to have a frame of reference, but a super luxury fragrance that most regular folks can't afford and smells different in every batch isn't really a good benchmark.. like, what is Aventus DNA in this case? Sage, vetiver, and patchouli? Three of the most common notes in men's fragrances? Does Terre D'Hermès have Aventus DNA? It has vetiver and patchouli too?? I hear the same thing about Montblanc Explorer and it's just not true. It smells way different, and it actually has more notes in common. You can't just read the notes and decide this is a copy of something else. End rant

Right of the bat I get the Coach for Men DNA that reminds of the Coach for Men EDT, subbing out pear for red apple and adding a bit more pepper in the open while dialing down cardamom. The middle notes are a kick of that lavender and earthy herbs. While the listed note is sage, I almost get more rosemary (which I got in Coach Green), possibly from the Sichuan pepper interaction. It's greener than it is blue and keeping with that the base pulls more of that earthiness forward with vetiver and patchouli, which are the dominant notes for me. There's cedar in there somewhere, but it doesn't quite come forward as much as I want it to; don't get me wrong, the base is good and was noticeable during my workout but I can see how cranking up cedar a bit more would have made it better. It's a pleasant, refreshing, clean green scent even though it has an earthiness to it, but in the hierarchy of Coach of which I am largely a fan I put it even with Green and ahead of Blue, yet behind Coach for Men EDT, EDP, and Platinum EDP -- if they tweaked the base slightly it'd be ahead of Green. Now, I think Open Road lends itself very well to layering; combine it with a stronger Cedar like Perito Moreno King's Empire and one will probably have a full forest effect; combine it with a strong aqua like I'm going to do via an overlap with Perito Moreno Octopus and it you might have a heavenly scent profile.

The very first notes I smell are not the lemon or apple in the opening at all, but rather the Sichuan pepper and the lavender. Those two notes are the stars of the show with this fragrance. Then, as the fragrance sits on my skin, I start to smell a slight generic "citrus" (would have guessed bergamot, not lemon) as well as a sweetness that I suppose is from the apple. As it dries down, that pepper stays strong and never goes away, nor does the lavender, but I do start to get a sort of soft earthy/aromatic vibe. Vetiver and patchouli are listed notes, so that makes sense. Finally, when this fragrance has been on me for an hour or more, it mostly just smells earthy and peppery, with the lavender lingering ever so slightly. Overall, I do like this fragrance. It's definitely its own fragrance and smells unique. I can't really say it's "inspired by" or a clone of any one particular fragrance. However, after wearing it for a while, the pepper and herbaceous/earthy notes can become a bit cloying, so this is by no means a perfect fragrance. I'd recommend three or four sprays at a time - any more, and you're just gonna start sneezing from all the pepper, and everyone around you is gonna wonder if you're just on a lunch break from the soup kitchen you work at lol

Coach still beats Versace to the inspiration of Creed Aventus hype.Most designers will have their take on the most successful creations of Top perfumers and that’s that period. Now for Coach here it is Aventus is F batch with Creed Aventus base, but takes out the pineapple bergamot and green apple and up the spice with Red apples. This is not a 1:1 clone to Aventus but for all the Recent authentic F batch purchasers this Coach Open Road has this clean tart bitter alcohol pad base smell just like Creed base with a twist. The quality of this fragrance is A1. I get maybe 3 to 4 hours of arm length sillage before it becomes a skin scent but can still smell it on clothes the next day. This is best modern take of a clean cut Man that doesn’t want attention from his cologne but just wanna smell clean in close encounters. This is already a masterpiece , because if you know you know. Good Job JCH!! Coach New York you have a Winner here 10/10.

bought it at $49 for 100ml, opens up with pleasant apple opening that last for a minute and quickly settles down into Sichuan pepper and lavender with some vetiver in the background. My sister loves it: subtle, clean, fresh and aromatic. in a sea of BR540 clones, Aventus clones and Sauvage clones that are roaming the streets, its certainly unique and yet common. I would say if you are surrounded by people who don't use fragrance, this would certainly be pleasant to both you and them, at least they dont get bombarded by your scent like stronger fragrance do. it doesnt last long, around 3-5 hours depending on spray and environment. its ok for the price I pay ( i bought it mainly for the nice looking bottle), but I can't see anyone buying it at full price

First impressions on skin and on paper. This has a similiar vibe to K by D&G. But this one is actually better since doesn't have that harsh synthetic vibe that i get from the opening of K. Strong cedar and vetiver note with an aromatic lightly sweetness vibe. Almost chocolate. Very nice this one. And longevity is also very good, so i don't understand why people complain about that. They go noseblind because this lasts long time. I spray it on hand (not the best way to test fragrances. I always wear them as sotd numerous times to really understand it's performance and smell) and after many washes i still smell it if i put my nose on it, after 9h. This is longlasting. Maybe not with super projection but it's pretty decent.

Starts off for me pretty fresh, slightly sweet but I can't say I pick out a distinct apple note, as I had read about prior to trying. There is also a decent spice and lemon/citrus note in the open which are both pleasant pretty fresh. The dry down brings out more of the wood vetiver, and mainly the sage. Only small amount of lavender to my nose. I like this a decent amount, but haven't been able to tell if I am going nose blind or if the longevity kind of sucks. I sprayed twice on my wrist to try, and after about 2 hours it's pretty close to the skin and really not projecting any longer. Going to give it s few weeks and see if anything changes. Overall, good for the $23 I paid for a full presentation 100ml!

First off I have no idea what the person below me is talking about. Coach fragrances are not clones of anything. Coach does not smell like fierce or Sauvage smh. Anyways for an actual opinion. Yes the longevity is poor but the scent is really nice. It has very small similarities to Aventus since it is the same creator and small similarities to Roja dove elysium. Take both of those fragrances and mix them with an old school barbershop scent and that is open road. The initial blast is fresh and uplifting, after it dries in a few minutes it smells like a normal barbershop fougere. Definitely masculine but when an edp version is released that is where this fragrance is going to be amazing.

Excellent presentation,one of the few capless fragrances I have and the easiest to tell from the bottle,beautiful bottle and great atomizer.The opening is a fresh citrus and it dries down to a nice woodsy-grass odor,definitely worth of the name “open road”.I get the vetiver with a hint of the fresh cut wood smell.It’s a bit weak ,need to spray something like 8-10 time to get a nice projection.I got the 40 ml bottle at Coach Outlet,definitely would buy at 100ml bottle once it hits the discounters at a decent price.Safe fragrance you can wear day or night,spring and fall would be the best times to wear this.

I wish this had a bit of more power to it. At a discount its worth a shot. It will give you about 1hour of very fresh masculine scent. After that reapply. Otherwise it becomes an intimate scent. Easy to wear. Non offensive. Wear to the office type of scent. If this scent offends anyone please call 911 and have them checked. This is seriously just an easy grab. You can wear this to whatever. I actually got this as gift from my mother who bought it a discounted price about a year ago right after it got discontinued from in coach stores. And i will be picking up another soon.

Very solid aromatic slightly herbal versatile fragrance. Nice bottle. Good value. Definitely masculine and probably leans more mature - it's the total opposite of the bubblegum DNA. It's not the best for longevity though, a few hours at best on me. Versatile daily wear, office/workplace and blind buy safe in my opinion. Owning both, it's not a million miles away from the new Kaaf noir. In the smells like section, Tumi Atlas is listed - this doesn't smell like Tumi atlas (which is great also)

Here's a short Overview for those interested- either go into a store to smell this or buy a sample before purchasing a whole bottle, the notes are sort of misleading with the earthy and woody. this fragrance is very masculine and classy, It is definitely good for work meetings or formal events as well as casual wear. I would say this fragrance is best for summer and it is not a night time fragrance. I give this fragrance an 8/10.

Definitely identical D&G K. I use to wear it back in 2021 almost every time I had a flight . Very clean , soapy fragrance. Almost every time I wore it , I was in the sun for long hours and it lasted minimum 3-4 hours . I’ve been at work . Pretty much inside with a/c and it’s lasted about 9 hours at the moment. Definitely worth purchasing if you’re looking for a cologne that’s safe for work and the summer . Rate this one 7.6/10

Really pleasant, basic men's scent that doesn't smell like your uncle. It smells like it would give me a migraine but it never does. The apple note smells more botanical than apple-juicy, and the vetiver smells like smoke on my skin (as per usual). A good, relatively inexpensive candidate for a daily driver. It's not necessarily a night scent but it would be better than nothing.

A blend of a modern fruity blue scent with classic masculine fougere vibes. Overall light and fresh, but that Sichuan peppercorn gives it just enough of an edge to keep it from feeling like a generic air freshener scent. Better performance would be welcome, but eh, it's a designer freshie that you can find for super cheap - just load up a little extra and re-spray as needed.

I had this fragrance and wore it year round, day night didn’t matter. It just worked. It was crisp and clean and masculine without being overpowering or synthetic smelling. Sort of metallic and fresh like an expensive soap without smelling “soapy”. Reminds me of “Rebel pour homme” by William Rast which you can find for cheeeeeaaaaap!

Gotten multiple compliments on this. I get the D&G K similarity, but IMO, this is so much better. K is straight up laundry detergent. OR is spicy and has a wonderful woody dry down that K lacks. The patchouli really doesn’t show itself until very late but this has more depth than K. Find it cheap, get it, and don’t look back.

This would really be something if it wasn't so weak. To my nose, it's the little bitchass cousin of K EDP. Green yet soft, pleasant and safe. Really lovely DNA that needs a shot of steroids. Classy, refined bottle. Just weak-ass. I don't wanna have to hit myself 20 times to catch a whiff in an hour.

Testing this a second time, this really isn’t that bad.. I get K but what I didn’t like about K is improved here..I like K but thought it pushed slightly too mature so this smells a little more youthful, and the vetiver is done nicely it’s smells fresh light & clean.

@Berto try it for yourself before you write it off. Definitely don’t base your purchase on what people say here, a lot of trolls out there who hate anything new and nada appealing. This is safe, but good.

Nice, slightly sweet, waffle-like core with definite green notes. Not a "love" but a solid "like" for me. I think it's a little overpriced but it's a nice one if you can get it from a discount site.

Not sure why but this fragrance remaind me to Calvin, yes, the 1981 original Calvin.. any one who can confirm if my memory doing right or is just playing with my feelings. Erick

opening gives a very basic cheap blue cologne but the dry down shines with a nice woody base that isnt overbearing and has a nice bit over citrus over the woodsy notes

Good scent, but doesn't extend very far. Relatively intimate scent range. Very peppery until dry down, but very good smell nonetheless. 8/10

I bought 60 ml for around 55 bucks, have been using it for about like two weeks for every single day, and already finished 30% of it. Here's my review of the fragrance: Coach Open Road is an aromatic, earthy green fragrance. The scent is beautifully made, and I mean it. Amazing perfumery done by Mr. Herault, no doubt about it. For a person who collects perfumes and has sniffed a lot of them, this may seem a bit boring. A dna that's used over and over again, but it doesn't smell too common I would say. Especially if u live in tropical areas, where laymen usually go for blue fragrances, you can pretty much stand out wearing this. It opens very fresh and fruity, a bit sweet from the red apple. And then after a few mins, like 3 to 4 mins probably, it brings out the spiciness and powdery scent from the lavender and Sichuan pepper. The middle note is very very nice. It pictures a very professional and masculine tone. And this goes on for a while, and in the dry down you are introduced to a dirty and earthy vetiver, I don't really smell the patchouli but maybe that's just me. I really like the scent but the problem is in the longevity and projection. Poor longevity and projection. I am quite disappointed honestly because the scent is really good. I got 3 - 5 hours of longevity on my skin, maybe a bit more on thick clothing like jackets and whatnot, with medium to low projection. For the original price of this, it really isn't worth it. I wish they could've made the longevity and projection a bit better. I would suggest you sample it first and see how well this works on your skin, if you can at least get 6 hours and a decent projection, then go for it. Because here's the thing, this is like the youthful version of Terre d'hermes, and that is amazing. That means it is more versatile and you can rock it pretty much at any age. But honestly, if you're looking for a fragrance that has the same vibe, I would suggest Narciso Rodriguez for him bleu noir edt and terre d'hermes. They are definitely more mature but they perform much much better. People also say that it is similar to Dolce&Gabbana K but I haven't sniffed it so I don't know if that's true. Overall, it's 7/10. If you can get it discounted then go for it. It's versatile and safe and if you're looking for a good office scent in your 20s, this is the perfect bottle.
