The pepper here comes off as incense/ oud. Think of it as a mystical / witchy island scent, which is a genre I never thought possible. Awesome for warm weather nights. Performance is off the charts. I don’t know exactly what the fabled Coco De Mer is supposed to smell like but apparently it has a creamy citrusy taste, which comes across as creamy in the profile. It’s almost like a Memo Paris fragrance with that combination of dirty earth and creamy sweetness. It’s a cool scent with a super unique profile. The aphrodisiac myth of the coco de mer apparently lives on.

This is lovely, it smells mature. People in their mid age and above can absolutely rock it. Upon first whiff, the spice and sweetness startled me. The patchouli smells earthy and herbaceous here, which I attribute to the black pepper, cardamom, and sweetness from coco de mer. As it dries down I get the smell of oakmoss with a slight powdery touch. Overall, It is quite unique and unlike anything else on the market, but if I sprayed it heavily in the heat, it might become a little overpowering. It's cool. Very different. Definitely worth a look

Very interesting and doesn’t smell like anything else I have or tested, and I have a kinda absurdly large collection. It kinda reminds me of Bvlgari Tygar, they don’t smell the same, but this has that bright abstract ultra-modern freshie thing going on. But that freshness is countered with something in it that comes across as cocoa powder to me, maybe that’s the coco de mer which I’m not familiar with. The performance is very good. I got a comment about the fragrance from someone who was about 10 feet away from me.

One of my favorites - was my initial introduction to the Coco de Mer Fragrance collection. I love the coolness of this scent, which comes from the cardamom. Many people think cardamom is a warm scent, but it's actually cool and that, paired with the black pepper and the coco de mer, are what combine to make this fragrance really special and unique. I usually do not like rose scents in men's fragrances but this is so subtle it doesn't bother me in the least.

Wish I hadn’t spilled this one. There might be screamwood in there, but the faintness I can detect on my hand is an aquatic amber and it’s pretty nice! Warm resins, light airy feel, some hint of warm spice, but not as spice, just as a touch of heat. Still don’t know what Coco de Mer smells like though. None of my samples seems to have anything new in it.

Has anyone been able to find this on a resale site? Or know any leads on where I could buy this in the US? Coco De Mer Cosmetics doesn't seem to ship to the US.
