Surprisingly wearable spring summer concoction with a beautiful roughness and energy about it. I have no idea what is meant by a soviet era perfume - but the packaging and bottle are definitely unique and give a nod towards an urban counter culture. Nothing sweet, metro, or gourmand about this fragrance. It's raw, herbal, earthy. Even the floral and citrus notes are dormant and hidden in the background. It wears close to the skin - as a scent like this should, and longevity is around 6 hours for me. Nothing spectacular but acceptable. This was given to me by a relative that had a feeling I wouldnt have this in my collection. (sneaky bastards - they were right) Best description I can give is that it smells like a farmers market on a hot summer day - tents setup over hot concrete with local vendors showcasing their crop. Potting soil, plants, vegetables, handmade crafts, baskets, and herbal remedies. Toss in a light ozonic breeze and dusting of metalic patchouli. It's weird... And beautiful .... And I can't wait to wear it like crazy this summer.

Great scent!!!!! I wore this everyday for a semester or two during college. Smelled woody but also has hints of rubber or asphalt that makes it very unique. Although I don’t have it anymore I would buy another bottle no question. Does not project very much and dosent last as long as other colognes at the same price but it’s still awesome and different. I get tired of a lot of colognes that smells the same or generic to me but I never got tired of this one. Good job by cdg here, they continue to release fragrances that are totally different from the current trends in my opinion.

It's annoying that this designer got cancelled because I lovvve this scent. Perfect piney/green unisex fragrance. My only critique is that it evaporates very quickly. Makes me think of hay and tennis balls. Has a calm quality to it. I loved wearing this in summer during hot weather, in a mens white cotton vest and shorts. I would buy this scent again if it wasn't discontinued.

My perfect perfume too bad it’s discontinued been hunting for a replacement since then. It does smells like a skateboard before a thunderstorm, really nailed the petrichor notes with just a touch of gasoline that brings the tennis ball like scent. Very intimate on the skin with almost no sillage

It smells identical to this Axe body spray i used to use, which is the last thing i expected a CDG to smell like lol. Brings back amazing memories and I think it smells great! I'm glad i can wear that scent now without having to own a can of Axe lol

smells like strawberry swing by frank ocean. the smell of youth and freedom (and tennis balls). too bad it got discontinued :(

Low longevity and projection for a beautiful and delicate scent. I love the scent however the weakness of projection and longevity makes me think twice. This is not meant for a mature person and would be appreciated by younger folk. Mixture of angelica and chamomile with touches of dusty and woody notes. very refined & light scent. minimalistic maybe. not closely on par with any Axe i smelled; feels very high-quality like most CdG scents, though i would not think of it as a "strange" or "avantgarde" scent, like many CdG’s. love the combination of smoke and angelica. i wish it had more stamina! scent—7,5 sillage—4 longevity—2

Synthetic tangerine and patchouli. Yet I like it, it feels very happy and has decent longevity. Definitely unisex. Edit: Tried this on my father and on him it really developed the burnt rubber note. Oof. Not pretty. So be careful and do not buy without trying.

If you want something similar (since this is nearly impossible to find any more), check out Moth & Rabbit's Parasite - they're not identical but scratch the same itch for me.

Smells like soapy dandelion tea. Not a particularly enjoyable scent.

Wow. . . . This is one of my he soapiest scents I've smelled -- complete with nose tingling sudsy bubbles! It is grounded in an earthiness and I can definitely tell that chamomile and Angelica are prominent. There is a bit of floral to it. I am getting an impression of daisies and I could see it being a good clean summertime scent on someone else's skin.

This one is strange. Opens with dried baby spit, a touch of rubber, a very thin, synthetically sweet citrus, and something indistinctly earthy...maybe mushroom? or clean soil? As it dries down it thins out even more and the focus shifts to the rubbery and earthy elements. Very nondescript. The best and worst aspect of this is it's sort of youthful playfulness. On one hand, it manages to be evocative of a very specific sort of sun-baked nostalgia...on the other hand it's somehow awkward and immature feeling. The sweat the other reviewers mentioned here is present to me but it's very different from my adult conceptualization of a "sweaty" smell. In lieu of any cumin-y facets or disturbing greasy body associations, Gosha's sweat is more reminiscent of the scent of the outdoors that sort of clings onto kids after they come in from playing in the summer heat. Very, very, weird. I find this kind of uncomfortable to wear. It doesn't feel like it's made for me. Regardless, this is super interesting and creative. Theres a cheeky, youthful, snot-nosed rebellious vibe present thats totally reminiscent of a bunch of tweens skateboarding and being "punk" while not understanding anything about the "real world". Endearingly noncomformist but also awkwardly transient. Affordable for a CDG!

Like most of the people here I smell rubber or plastic. Unlike most of them I loved it as much as I hate the synthetic smells. I have no explanation to this. I am seriously reading the comments here for the first time, but in sock how some are similar to mine. It's not for everyone and you have to be in the country I lived when I used to wear it. I am Russian and I bought it just because of the name I have never heard before shamefully. Now I know who he is when you live overseas from Russia for a quarter of the decade you just crave for something named in Russian abc. As silly as it sounds I just bought it because of this nale in Cyrillic. And I instantly fell in love. It's so light and very unusual somewhat really pleasant even if it smells like plastic. Maybe because I used to play with mydolland smell her hair or skin. It just occurred to me that's probably why I love it so much.

While I can't say I'm familiar with what buchu smells like, this definitely smells of angelica and chamomile, accented with some abstract, synthetic florals and citrus. After a few hours, it dries down to a woody, unobtrusive vetiver base. It's doing its own thing, but there is some kinship with releases like Serpentine, Comme des Garcons 2011, and Odeur 71. There's nothing natural about these fragrances, and they smell like man-made places and things, as does Perfect Summer Weekend. If I tried to craft a visual equivalent for this scent, it would be clothes in a neutral brown color like faun, ecru, or khaki. An anytime, anywhere sort of aesthetic. All in all, it's a pleasant light fragrance that's a good alternative to "fresh" citrus colognes.

I've had this one for years. It has grown on me. I feel like when I wear this it makes me smell younger. Not because it is for young people, but because purportedly they based this on the skin smell of young vampire dudes who never age. Or was it kids in Russia who used to skateboard. One or the other this smells good. It is subtle yet last 24hrs on me. I never go 24hrs without showering so it could theoretically last a long time. There is wood in it, like a stake in the heart.

Bitter rubber in the hot sun with the sweat to go with it, and quenching it slightly with an Orangina. Other reviews have mentioned the aroma of teenage boys, but I think it's worth underlining the animalic vibe it gives off. Civet is not mentioned in the notes, but it is this old fashioned animal vibe that makes this click as soviet era parfum. Yet, despite the funk, which plays a very small part, this comes across as minimalist, somewhat austere, and hip. CDG all the way.

when i first sprayed this i immediately smelled mandarin zest and rubber with oriental notes, incense and boys deodorant. the base is kinda metallic which i don't mind. after wearing it for a few days the smell really grew on me but ultimately left me wanting more. becomes boring and is too casual for me another cdg with weak projection and worse longevity - could spay it four times on the body and another four on your clothes and it'll be gone within two hours

Ok better than I expected (sprayed a small amount on the end of my fingers to potentially scrub off later.) It's fairly tame and light, not too herbal. But a fair bit of angelica, powdery, green. Amber where? Styrax where...in fact the thole thing kind of disappears after a short while...won't be a memorable one for me but at least it didn't stink up my skin hehe.

Reminds me of summer afternoons spent on the school sports field. Aroma of a cracked concrete and dandelions leaning out mixed with chlorine from a swimming pool. A very poetic scent. If you are EU based and have a bottle for sale please contact me, im desperately looking for one!

In the opening i get smell of plasteline, i didnt feel it on myself, i started to feel it on drydown after 9 hours, where i get woody and metalic notes. It smells nice but it sits close to the skin.

The dry down of this smells like a freshly showered man If I smelt this on my man I would want to jump on him Its clean, simple, refined and mature

clean linens + mothballs + jasmine ....dry down is just a muted combination of all three. meh
