Very yummy! I love this fragrance because it is super fun and playful and a little bit of a trickster. It comes on with a strong kick of lemon black tea- almost like brisk or arizona brand iced teas, and I'm thinking who would want to smell that way? And then the bergamot introduces itself and suddenly I'm smelling wonderful earl grey tea and elated to smell that way. And then something gorgeous happens in the dry-down. This scent calms into an almost soapy green tea. Reminiscent of the dry down of L'Occitane Vert, but still different, softer. Hours later it's a skin scent something like South of France Green Tea soap, and it is very pretty. One of the funnest tea fragrances I've come across because it seems to capture tea in multiple facets, and yet does not claim tea as one of its notes! A weirdie but goodie!

I have the 15 sample Commodity storybook and this allong with Rain are my favourive in the white line. Orris is my top rated in whole collection. Tea opens with a nice zing, lemon leading with bergamot close on her heals. I dont detect any sweet citrus. Jasmin tea starts to takeover quickly, and is the floral heartnote for me. Then settels into a sweeter jasmin musk for about 5 hours on me. This seems like a mature fragrance, not playfull or super sexy. Just nice natural musky jasmine that makes me feel happy and relaxed. Lasts 6hr on me ⛤⛤⛤⛤ Edit: just sampled in Sephora Au and this has been totaly reformulated! Like all the notes are different, now its got an iced mint tea vibe. Very minty with watermelon. Dont know if I like it anymore :( ⛤⛤

My first purchase from Commodity was Gold. It is still my first love of theirs, but this runs a close second! It is complex and deep for their white line of fragrances, but I found if you have a more citrus-based fragrance to layer over it, it is divine! It smells like a strongly brewed Southern iced tea. Herbal, fresh, light without just disappearing--it lasts throughout the day, and changes as your day goes onward. Lovely if you are looking to try something different for the Summer months!

Beautiful gentle easy going floral topped with citrus and a dash of spicy. What a heavenly pure creation the entire Commodity line has been so far!

TEA is one of the better performers in Commodity's line-up. I'm not really a fan of tea scents, but this one is fresh, thanks to a predominance of citruses. I wish the bergamot stood out more, though. In the dry down I get a lot of the jasmine and freesia. I do get a sense of tea, but it's not a real tea fragrance. I like it on its own. It's unusual and quirky. But, I like it better when layered with Commodity's Mimosa. Mimosa on it's own is just "meh", Tea is a pleasant stand alone. But, put the two together and magic happens.

This is a nice earl grey tea scent, but it lasts at most an hour. That might be acceptable in a $10 scent, but for a scent whose bottles are near $100 retail it's ridiculous. I'm a fan of tea scents and liked this one a lot, but when demeter scents outperform your scent, it's sad. Get a perfume pen if you're that curious, but don't spend more than $20 on this sad little tea scent.

I keep looking for a Commodity that is full-bottle worthy. This is not it, and I love tea. I was hoping I could love this. It is a citrusy perfume. Usually I love citrus perfumes, but not this. I don't hate it, but I can't justify buying a big bottle. So far I have only tried the White collection, I will now start on the Black. Then Platinum.

Smells like sherbet candies. The sillage is a bit better with this one and its lasting quite well on my skin. Its fresh and sweet, but not in synthetic body spray way. If you are into super realistic and fresh perfumes, try this out. edit: Its 10 hours later and this has dried down to a beautiful baby smell, i can't stop sniffing my hand.

Love this one, a blind buy off Sephora website, it is so interesting and different. Opens with a strong lemon then dries down within a half hour to fresh zippy unmistakeable matcha.

The opening of Commodity's tea is very herbal and aromatic, with the scent of crushed plant leaves and tart lemon. The lemon becomes more of a lemon peel scent in the drydown. The perfume is also more floral on the drydown also. As far as how true to actual tea this Commodity offering is, it's not very convincing as a general whole. Throughout the scent's development, I felt I got glimpses of a tea scent but overall this whole perfume is dominated by freesia/mint accord which smells like toothpaste. This toothpaste note is rather overwhelming. If you can can get past the toothpaste note, the quality of the lily of the valley smells almost like overbrewed green tea, but it's still too garden-like rather than tea like. There is also a bit of jasmine present. I initially found this scent repulsive due to it's intense toothpaste note and overall green and lemony bitterness. It's always been a complaint of mine that self advertised tea scents don't normally live up to how tea actually smells. If the mint and citrus were scaled back a bit, it'd still mainly be a synthetic lily of the valley scent.

Nope, not on its own thanks - far too artificial and reminiscent of the harsher things made by Clean for me to make true friends with. When applied alone, Commodity Tea is just a really sharp, uncompromising, chemical-lab impression of 'clean freshness with a vegetal edge' rather than anything to do with any variety of real tea. Something a bit disturbing and golem-like about how sweetish and greenish and aromatic it is, without smelling at all of any Earthling plant I can recognise. Makes my nose itch a bit too. Will try it layered with other things, but applied neat, this is no fun at all on me.

It opens smelling of mint/spearmint toothpaste. Lily of the valley is prominent next, still smelling of toothpaste in their background. There is a fresh muskiness present. The fragrance doesn't last long, possibly an hour give or take.

This is unpleasantly, medicinally fresh. "Fresh" is the nicest word I can use to describe it. It definitely does not smell like any other tea fragrance I have ever tried.

I just got this and I guess it’s the older version. This smells like nothing that is listed on the product box or here in descriptions. This is heavy citrus, screeching freesia, artificial “fresh” notes and industrial cleaner all mixed together. The opening had some potential with crisp bergamot but it soon turned into industrial cleaner scent. Bad blind buy! I must stop blind buying. Big no on this one.

So, looking at the notes between both versions of this fragrance, I am almost certain that I ended up with a sample of the old 2013 "vintage". I think reformulating this guy was a wise choice. The sample that I made the mistake of spraying onto my skin earlier this evening is absolutely hideous and I hate it. I don't get an impression of tea at all, at best this is the sugar-free version of Lemon Snapple, with an emphasis on the Splenda. Smelling this is like dissolving a dry packet of lemon-lime Emergen-C in your mouth. I am hit by an unwelcome and very artificial fizziness, followed by a bitterness that seems consistent with crushed aspirin or caffeine pills, I think this is that bergamot note clashing with synthetic jasmine and tonka bean. Instead of calming down after the top wears out, this just keeps barreling forward, never tea-like in the slightest and painfully linear. Mercifully, this doesn't last on me. It was basically undetectable after about an hour and a half. Projection is also weak, I had to bring my wrist within inches of my face to smell it after only about 15 minutes. The initial blast made me worry that this might be a nuclear, plant killer type of perfume. Not the case. I am glad that I tried other fragrances from this house before I ended up trying this one. If this had been my first experience with them, I wouldn't have bothered with anything else. Big huge no, I'm staying away from this.

Not the most tea-like tea scent I've ever tried. There is a heart of tea, but it is nearly overpowered by the other factors, namely the tonka bean. Not an unpleasant scent, it is a base of woody rose over which an oily/sweet (that's the tonka's influence for you) oolong hovers in a cloud of tobacco fumes- not smoke, but the sweetly aged scent of unburned pipe tobacco, introduced by a masculine basil and bitter orange peel. Could be worn by either gender, just enjoy it. Side-Note: I spilled a broken sample vial of this on my craft desk which was covered in cheap brown housepaint and it brought back the acrid, chalky paint smell as if the paint was fresh, and d'you know, it actually kinda worked for me? It added a workaday spin to a carefully curated scent, like a mahogany wood table that smells of Murphy's oil soap.

I don't think I've ever had such a bad reaction to a fragrance. On me it has an odd sickly sweet smell that makes me feel as though the bridge of my nose is being pinched. It gave me a headache. I tried layering it with Mimosa, as other reviewers suggested, in the hope that it would lighten the scent a little, but it didn't really help. Looking at the notes, I'm puzzled as to where the sweetness comes from. I don't smell any of the notes listed. Even though the only note they have in common is musk, it gives me the same vibe as Tokyo Milk Bittersweet, which I didn't care for either. This is definitely not the Commodity fragrance for me.

This fragrance surprised me! I think I was expecting something like Tea Escape from Replica. This one is more unisex and stronger overall. It's more woody and planty than expected. And a tiny bit allspice-y. I probably wouldn't buy it again since I feel like this sort of fragrance fits me just okay.
