Vanille Ambre

Vanille Ambre is my first and so far only CSP fragrance, and I look forward to possessing more from their line. I've wanted one of their fragrances forever and I was not disappointed. I was given VA as a gift from my spouse, I was so pleased he knew what I wanted :) I have always loved Vanilla and the idea of an Amber combination was irresistible. Initial impression is always I feel barely worth a mention with these types of fragrances because the magic lies in the warming, absorption from the skin. These are true "skin" scents as should be the case with "tropical" climates. You don't want something that is going to disappear as soon as it is applied. Fresh tropical breezes, brilliant sunshine, surf and sand is imagery instantly conjured in the mind. Much easier that obtaining a pass to paradise :) The patchouli and amber meld deliciously, with the vanilla leading the pack, I find the scent is superb. Longevity is very good, lasts for a long time on my skin, 5+ hours, the sillage is noticeable but really it is an "in close" scent. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves Vanilla and Patchouli. The Amber is part and parcel with the Patchouli so I wouldn't say buy this if you are an Amber lover specifically. In one word "mezmorizing" :)

Vanille Ambre opens up with warm, inviting, ooey-gooey vanilla sweetness, gently kissed with a dry, tawny amber, then lightly dusted with soft white musk. As it develops I get a beautiful patchouli note that further tempers the sweetness and grounds it with dense earthiness. The more I wear it the more I pick up muted hints of LDDM by Tauer Perfumes, not a dupe by any stretch, but just a subtle nod toward the dryer, dustier amber present in the famous "Tauerade". Like the old cereal commercial, the kid in me loves the creamy, dessert-like vanilla side, while the adult in me loves the more arid, substantial earthiness of the amber side. The first time I wore this I was ready to declare Vanille Ambre a simple, delicious vanilla, but with repeat wearings it has rewarded me with some quiet nuances that I'm glad I patiently discovered.

Vanille Ambre is a wonderful scent! It’s a mix of CSP’s traditional vanilla, amber and patchouli that smells almost like chocolate. In the beginning the patchouli note is quite strong, but it gets softer after an hour, though it will never disappear. That’s what makes the scent so balanced and not too sweet or overpowering. It’s a simple fragrance, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s very comforting and cozy. I love it!

Mmmmmmmm! Smells like what vanilla cake batter taste, sweet and creamy. Silage is arms length, longevity is about 6 to 8 hours. I would definitely have to layer this with my Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel Body Cream to give it more staying power and silage. It also reminds me of Cotys' Vanilla Fields but it's less synthetic and not as strong. More of a natural vanilla scent.

This is a warm, sweet, hug. The vanilla is laced with a very light musk note as it envelops amber and the two merge into the smell of sanctuary, and love. I have a very emotional reaction to this scent as it whispers to me "I know times are tough, but everything is going to be ok." <3 I have my main large bottle as a back up, just incase they reformulate or discontinue.
