03. Oasis Slip

Ginger, basil, coconut, rose.... yeah! I am digging it. I only have a decant to wear a few times, but I am sure I will get a full bottle. I have not smelled another similar scent before. The coconut completely avoids the lotion profile, and the ginger and basil top notes last quite a long time. This will stay in my spring and summer rotation, but I plan to pull out now and then any time of year. Office safe, I think because there are no sharp components in the scent trail, and its never cloying. Its decidedly unisex without leaning either way to me. Probably should sample first unless you tend to like conflicted unisex profiles.

In theory I really like this. The orchid note is really lush. I love a coconut note. The duration is so so good. It just feels like there’s a bit too much happening at once. The rose note kind of muddies the whole thing, a bit dense and overpowering. The coconut starts to come off a bit balmy like Vaseline. It feels like it needs something a a bit more crisp to even it out.
