Caipi d' Argent

Caipi D'Argent hits the Brazilian market at the end of February 2023, the time of the year when temperatures are higher. This time, the perfumer Fábio Condé chose the silver color, which represents the cocktail shaker and is directly related to the concept, the fragrance, and its name, paying homage to our famous caipirinha. To create Caipi D'Argent’s fragrance, notes of Sicilian lemon, verbena, lime, bergamot, and litsea cubeba were combined, in addition to an alcoholic accord, at the top of the olfactory pyramid. The central part reveals notes of lavender, mint, rhubarb, and basil. In the base, notes of coumarin and a mix of woods (guaiac, vetiver, and Virginian cedar) merge with ambroxan, in an attempt to bring out the sweetness of the caipirinha. On the skin, everything is very pleasant, and some connections are immediately made, since fragrance is, above all, pure olfactory memory. It's impossible to spray Caipi D'Argent and not instantly think of Allure Homme Édition Blanche (Chanel), for example. And here, even if there is no vanilla, it is possible to catch that aroma from the lemon cream used in pies, eclairs, or profiteroles, in the first moments. Then comes the first surprise! The initial scent, which could have become nauseating at some point, disappears as quickly as it came. And a citrus juice – not as light as a children's lemonade and not as acidic as a Swiss lemonade – feels like it's been spilled onto the skin. Caipi D'Argent then begins to reveal all the freshness of bergamot and lime, while an icy effect tries to appear. It is the eternal struggle between ice and alcohol, which ends up making the caipirinha watery, but it is essential for it to be appreciated. When the glass is half full (pun intended), the rhubarb emerges and brings a delicious metallic effect. And although this is not a note appreciated by many, I can assure you that it is not, in any way, capable of jeopardizing the result. From this point on, it's just joy! You already feel looser, the fragrance seems more relaxed, and the mood is at its height. That’s the thing about citrusy fragrances, which invigorate and are always appreciated. Here, I identify a kinship with fragrances such as L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme Sport, L'Homme Ideal Cologne, and Dior Homme Cologne. I don't like making comparisons, but they help set the scene. On my skin, Caipi D'Argent exudes for a long time and lasts for about eight hours, thanks to the ambroxan. And the best part of this launch is being introduced to a new facet of the perfumer Fábio Condé, which shows that he has plenty of talent for citrus fragrances. And after Bois D'Orange, Caipi D'Argent comes to attest to this. It could be Dior, Guerlain, and even Acqua di Parma, but it's Brazilian and that's wonderful. Someone bring me another caipirinha, please!?
