Get A Room

To me, Get A Room is a curious blend of cypress and citrus. I currently have cypress catkins on my desk to freshen up the place, and this perfume does remind me of the resinous freshness unique to cypress trees. The cypress blends seamlessly with the citrus, creating a fresh feeling. The blending of the two profiles reminds me of Bleu de Chanel. Not that it smells like Bleu, but it's very well-rounded with the harsh edges of the scent profiles smoothed away. And I really dislike Bleu, but Get A Room could be a new favorite for me. I love how it seems to transcend day/night, masculine/feminine, and the seasons. Look how evenly it's been rated! That's astounding! If you're looking for a unique, pleasant perfume that anyone can use anytime, anywhere, any season, this one's for you. I can smell the apple when I try, but it's not the dominant smell to my nose. To me, this profile leans slightly masculine, since all piney-resinous smells smell masculine to me. For most people, I think this would be a safe unisex fragrance.

It's interesting to see how different scents comes across on different people. So many are getting orange creamsicle and fruity vibes and I get none of that. At the beginning I get citrusy herbal. I generally do not like herbal but here, I have to say, I really liked it. Other herbal fragrances I've tried have either come across too green and made me feel like I was just walking around covered in basil or thyme, or they gave mj. Neither are what I want to smell like. I think it was the citrus, but something here just made it really enjoyable. As it starts to dry down I started to get a slightly more woody vibe. It wqs only at the very end after it became a skin scent, did I get any vanilla from this. This didn't have great projection, but lasted most of my work day. I also found this to be super unisex. I'm not running out to buy a bottle, but I'm definitely adding this to my want list.

This was definitely my signature scent fall 2020, and I'm excited for cooler weather so I can wear it again. First spray you get the apple, sage, and mandarin. They don't disappear but start to mellow, which is when you pick up the warm vanilla, spice, and woodsy notes. It's a well balanced perfume and I will still smell it on myself 12 hours later. I would suggest getting a sample before you buy, because it is a unique scent and not all of the notes will appeal to everyone. If you like the listed notes you might be safe for a blind buy. They do sales a couple times a year so I would wait for one if you want the best value. This is truly a unique scent, I have yet to smell something else like it.

One of my all time favorites. It's so sexy. It makes you feel sexy and would smell sexy on someone else. I am a girl, but I think it would be so incredible on a man, I would probably literally swoon. This scent lasts a long time on me. It smells soft and musky, but in a fresh way with a little fruit. I wouldn't really call it woody, it is really sweet on me. Anything that I have come across that smells even a little similar doesn't hold a candle to this fragrance. Top contender for if I had to choose a signature scent for myself. I would repurchase this and would pretty much pay whatever they ask for it. My favorite time to wear it is when summer is ending, but it's not quite autumn yet.

This makes for a good intimate perfume! The apple/fruity scent gives way almost immediately to a light cedar and vanilla combo. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a crazy silage; even right after applying, someone would have to sniff my skin directly to smell this. This has good longevity, probably about 5-6 hours (again, sniffing my skin directly.) Would be a good perfume to wear if you're on a nice date with a happy ending or on the prowl for a (slightly sophisticated) partner for the night. Overall, a nice youthful, sexy, and mysterious perfume! Just wish it protected more.

This is ALMOST SINGLE (read my review) the same vibe but now in a different setting. I'm talking about, a nice room, champagne, good music and nothing else. Oh, and room service the next morning. Smells amazing on my man. Chefs kiss. Fresh, sweet, with such a yummy milky Froot Loops CEREAL dry down. I think that's the whole point, getting a room late at night. Then, breakfast the next morning. So sexy! How cool is this perfume. So real, I LOVE it for that reason. Song for this would be Nothin' on You by Cody Johnson. BISOUS

Love this one! A lot of people described it to me as "sexy" beforehand which I don't really get. It starts almost like a milky creamy vanilla with orange and dries down a bit more powdery and I get that nice clary sage that stays with me. It smells like 90s dream, orange creamsicle magic. The vibe it gives me is much more "beachside brunch with a smoothie" It's sweeter than my daily vibe but not too sweet. I'd wear it to attend a baby shower or something.

This smells very sexy. Woodsy, creamy and fresh. But it only lasts about an hour and a half before I have to reapply. Now I don’t mind reapplying because I love all the notes in this and the drydown is amazing, but for the price?!?! I wish it lasted longer and projected more. Honestly though, despite that letdown this might be a new favorite. Definitely unisex, I’m a lady but I would go NUTS if I smelled this on a man!

This one pleasantly surprised me. This is sweet and citrusy but also woodsy and musky. Definitely reminds me of G Water but more like a cousin than a sister scent. I get a light lemon pound cake sweetness coming from the vanilla and mandarin orange along with a fresh woodiness that makes it really interesting. Think G Water+ Lira + D&G Light Blue. It is fresh and delicious and complex.

Sexy sour apple, androgynous leaning slightly femme which I love as it fits my vibe well. Can be worn day or night, any season, super versatile. It seems like it lasts on clothes until you wash them again, hints of sour green apple. I adore apple notes and this is so well and interestingly done, nothing quite like it. all time fav

This is my scent! I never thought about it being a masculine scent, but ion reading reviews it is quite possible. But I get speed so much feeling me how wonderful I smell wearing this. It's gorgeous and I like sexy, sweet gourmet accents alot as well. Artichoke suggestions of others to try. Thanks for your time!

This was a favorite of mine for years, and I can't believe I forgot about it. It smells like a morning hike through a dewy conifer forest after a night of rain, but not earthy nor particularly overpowering. It's a little sweet, but not super girly or immature as well.

Very sensual, warm vanilla, alluring, not too complicated or mature. Young but not juvenile, hot, and seductive. Love it. I was stopped outside and asked what I was wearing. This perfume is suitable for most occasions and I think it is rather feminine than unisex.

The best way I can think of to describe Get A Room is sexy fruit loops. Creamy vanilla/musk smell. Alluring. Very sweet smelling. Not really woody. Maybe a tad fruity. I would wear this any season any occasion.

I absolutely LOVE Get a Room. The scent is unique and beautiful. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on the skin. :( I am able to smell it ever so lightly on my clothes after a few hours though.

this smells uncannily like the orange grove part of soaring over california and it made me so nostalgic. 10/10.

This one is easy to like. Maybe even easy to love. Lightly sweet and woody, it avoids smelling juvenile, which is a pitfall of many fruity fragrances. It's a bit spicy on first spray, but on the dry down, it softens up a little into something really pretty and alluring. On me, it lasts 8+ hours with moderate projection. This reminds me of a best friend. Not necessarily MY best friend, who definitely doesn't wear this fragrance, but that friend that we've all known FOREVER. Maybe we go a few months without talking, but the next time we hang out, it's like no time has passed at all. Smelling this feels like meeting up with that friend. It's warm, comfortable, and tinged with suppressed sapphic attraction. If you know, you know. The woman who wears this has her act together. Her kitchen is color coordinated, she remembers birthdays, and she is NEVER LATE. EVER. I probably have a little crush on her.

This scent is one of the true unisex scents of their collection. It is a great scent for people to wear by itself, but it really lends itself towards layering. The amazing white musk with the vanilla compliments a lot of other woodsy/leather/musky scents. Also, this is a great one for people who don't necessarily need/want to make a statement with their scent. All of confession's scents are very safe (even being unique), and this one is no different. A nice sweet vanilla with plenty of woods and musk.

This perfume is a weird one. When I first got it, it had a very sharp initial note that was a turnoff, and it was almost as sickly sweet as Prada Candy, but it at least didn't make me sneeze like a fiend the way Candy did. After about a week, though, this scent really grew on me. It's very sweet and caramelly, and you can really smell the apple and vanilla. The initial spray is very strong. It lasts for a few hours, longer on clothes than skin. I really like it.

When I first spray this it really reminds me of Versace V/S which is great because I've been wanting a dupe for a long time. That impression fades within seconds though and then I'm left with a hint of woody vanilla and not much else. It also reminds me a lot of I am Trash but with a fraction of the longevity. Like it is gone from my wrists completely within an hour. It lasts way better on the hair.

I absolutely ADORE this scent, might genuinely be my all-time favorite- but it doesn't last that long. I feel like it has a very weak sillage, you need to be very close to smell it, and it seems to just vanish after a couple hours. I prefer my scents less noticeable, but this is a bit too faint for me since you need to re-apply frequently. Which is a shame, since the scent is literal perfection.

Sweeeet and so fruity. I didn't like it at first, then I loved it, and after I had a full thing of it eventually I grew out of it again. I liked it well enough to get through most of a bottle. For nice perfume it's a good price. I can't believe their website considers this unisex, it's overwhelmingly feminine.

VERY androgynous which is this perfume’s strength. Sexy enough to wear on a date, fresh enough to be a daily scent, mature and intriguing.I also find it to be a good base for layering with citrus-forward perfumes. My one gripe is that it doesn’t last at all.

While not quite a favorite of mine to wear because I find it too masculine, I love the way it smells. Like if a man had just come back from a long day of working in the flower fields. I keep coming back to smell this and it’s gorgeous!

Absolutely agree with fruit loops. Which is fun! Or candied orange peel on top of vanilla ice cream.

Initially I didn't think I'd enjoy this scent but it dried down into something really pleasant.

This is a much cleaner version of the dancefloor from my 2009 homecoming.

It’s light and fresh. Great for anytime of day or night.

I didn’t want to like this one (because I find the bottle to be an eyesore), but surprisingly I ended up finding it very pleasant, but what saves me from considering buying a bottle is that the longevity is awful! I thought maybe I was anosmic due to how crazy fast it was undetectable on my skin (and it started off as pretty much a skin scent to begin with), but I also sprayed it in the knees of my pants and for the life of me couldn’t smell it whatsoever! Even the next day after taking a break from it, I couldn’t smell it, so I know it wasn’t anosmia. Also, while I found it pleasant, it didn’t feel particularly unique and with the awful performance... definitely not full bottle worthy. Reminds me of a slightly muskier Bosque Mistico by Nopalera (ppl also complain about longevity on that one, but I can smell it on fabric days later so I’m pretty sure it’s anosmia, plus that one has a cute bottle and is cheap in price compared to this one-EDIT: jk while Bosque Mystico is $78 a FB and GAR is $125, GAR is 100ml and Bosque is 50ml so it’s actually not at all cheaper). The sweetness from that Bosque comes from honeysuckle not apple/mandarin/vanilla, and the tartness from hibiscus/“citrus” not mandarin, the herbal/earthy note is orris/pepper instead of sage/cypress. So while it doesn’t have any notes in common, idk why but it’s a very similar vibe imo, but it lasts way longer.

Ok I swear I've reviewed this before... Did the page change?? ANYWAYS! Leaving another review since I tried this out again. Honestly it smells like a sweet lemon meringue pie in the best way possible. It has hints of creaminess and woods to it in the background. This could've honestly been a signature fragrance for me/full bottle worthy IF IT LASTED. The price tag simply does NOT justify the longevity or projection. I sprayed it so many times this morning (on my clothes AND skin), yet it's already pretty much non-existent on me. (Also, idk why but this really reminds me of how the Pirates of the Caribbean ride smells at Disney World. IYKYK!) *Update: I was gifted a full bottle for christmas (they purchased it on cyber monday on sale for me) and I'm so happy that I have this! Longevity still isn't great but the scent is just so good... has anyone tried the new Get A Room And Order Champagne one?

I got a decant of this and noticed that Byredo G* Water is in the section of similar fragrances above. I happen to like G* Water, so was delighted. And then I smelled Get a Room only to realize it smells nothing like G* Water. I would like to pick the brain of whoever is making this comparison. On first impression, all I smell in Get a Room is the apple note. Big apple energy, sweet apple juice, crab apple tree in bloom kind of deal. No aromatic notes from cypress or clary sage which is a bummer. Scrolling through other reviews here, I am amused that some folks are finding this to be more masculine leaning, whereas I find this to be very sweet and feminine (given, I do prefer androgynous scents as a baseline). So interesting how scent truly is so personal! Overall, this is a fine enough scent, it just didn't live up to what I anticipated it would be.

The fragrance is pleasant, a vanilla that is kept from becoming too sweet by the clary sage with a hint of orange. But I can't get this fragrance to stay on either my skin or my clothes. Earlier today I sprayed it 10+ times on myself before going out; on my pulse points, in my hair, on my clothes, and I couldn't get over an hour out of the scent. It's not that it dried down to a skin scent, it's the fact that it disappeared completely. This is the worst performing scent I own.

I think it's a sexy scent. Good for intimate occasions cuz to me it smells muskier than what the notes indicate. Also fruity and unisex. I had a decant, but gave it to my girlfriend, I think it suits her better.

I received this in a set that I purchased. I have to say, this is a very bizarre fragrance to me. It’s my first time using it so I could be that. It smells like a sweet bread I can’t put my finger on.

I wish I liked this. In theory I should like this. However, it is insulting to my nose. It smells like a orange Creamsicle popsicle, with a creamy vanilla ice cream in the center, and an artificial creamy, candy orange outer layer. Sounds delicious! But for some reason, it just makes me nauseous. I keep retrying it and retrying it, but I always come to the same reaction: disgust. I'm not being egregious when I say it makes me feel like I'm going to vomit. It makes the saliva run to my mouth like I need to start running to the bathroom or a trash can. Maybe this is too much (but cmon, I think we have all read way harsher a review on here...), but I think... It reminds me of... The actual smell of.... vomit. Especially if I had eaten candy or ice cream or some sort of dessert and maybe drank one too many. This is what it smells like to me. I'm very sorry if this is your favorite perfume, keep doing you. I'll likely never meet you anyway lol. But I'm certain that there's got to be at least one other person out there who feels the same way about this.. And friend, you're not alone. RIP to what should have been a perfect sweet, spring scent. I'll pour one out for her. Well, maybe just this perfume.. 🤣

Great initial spray, but then too aromatic & powdery/laundry-like. This is another I really wanted to like. I was so excited for it when I initially sprayed it because the top notes are so pleasant. I could really spell the apple and orange, and I liked that they were accompanied by the vanilla and sage. But a few hours later, all I smell is a laundry-like scent to it and it's just not what I wanted from this scent. I suspect it's the Cypress that has the smell that's just too strong and detergent-like. It has no remaining sweetness, which is what I would have expected from a fruity scent (even if it is an aromaric fruit, specifically.) I don't think I'm going to be able to wear this scent again because it just makes me feel nauseous it's so strong. Bummer. ☹️

I see the resemblance to ELDOs offering, but this just reminds me if my great aunts laundry room - she loved using Gain. Its like Gain detergent but sickeningly sweet making it a scrubber for me. Sorry but I didn’t care for this one...

At first spray there's a tart fruitiness but it very quickly dries down to a run-of-the-mill sweet, synthetic vanilla. Smells a lot like a Bath & Body Works body spray from 1998.

Apple, vanilla, a touch of salt and a bit pissy- weirdly enough. Interesting scent, nothing groundbreaking- would wear it, but would never buy a full bottle.

Honestly, my most reached for scent. It's what I wear when I want to feel sophisticated, confident and a little seductive. My coworkers really liked it on me! One kept mentioning how it smelled so good "but it almost is a little masculine?" and I was like "yes, this is considered unisex, lmao". The company as a whole does great market research, they know what is trendy and what people are wanting. This sweet woodsy number does it for me. It is praline, it is woodsy, it is rich. I love the dry down.

I like this but you’re better off just buying the “In the Stars” mist from bath and body works. It pretty much smells the same and you have to spray it just as much for payoff. Longevity is poor. I’m not sure who came up with the Confessions of a Rebel brand, but everything I’ve tried is weak and a 3.4oz is worth about $30 at most (versus the $100+ they try to charge- what a joke lol). Nothing ground breaking here.

To my nose this initially smells like a mixture of rust and blood. Like oxidation and metallic. It is so weird. I get this with both the spray and the body oil. Once it sits for a little it gets more earthy/woody. Definitely not a woodsy or dry wood, quite green and young like peeled infant tree bark and table rose stem. The longer it sits on my skin the more warm it becomes however.

This starts on me as a clean musk with apple, very fresh and nice, but the praline and vanillla come in as a sticky cakey synthetic mess. Then that goes away and the blend is very nice again. The notes clash now and then, but not the whole time and the overall experience was enjoyable. I wouldn't buy more for myself, but I would wear it on occasion if it appeared in my cabinet.

I don’t usually have so many ups and downs with a fragrance. Upon initial spray, this decent is almost cloyingly sweet. It’s also warm with a bit of citrus. Once it settles down, the sweetness becomes settled and balanced. This happens about 40 minutes in and then I truly enjoy it. I wonder if I’d like this more in an oil format so that the sillage isn’t so intense.

I smelled this on the scent trail of an attractive brunette woman at the bar I was at, and I've been captivated ever since. I don't really remember much about it, but I know that it caught my eye. It was fresh and fruity, but sophisticated.

This is shockingly good. It’s a blend of a fresh aromatic cypress and sage with a lemon/orange vanilla backbone. Do I like this more than Gypsy Water? Wow. Gypsy Water has that powdery head shop incense thing. This is more sweet no powder.

i can only wear this if i layer it idk if i need to let it sit some more or what (i’ve had it since november) but it smells nothing like it did when i got with scent bird it was way sweeter the bottle i have now is highkey earthy asf
