Hardkor

An interestingly lovely dance of accords that subverted my expectations and made me re-think my preferences. "Fruity" is not an appealing draw from fragrances for me, but somehow this easily soared to the top of my list out of the last 30 samples I've tried. The tropical fruit impression is immediate and strong, but the florals hold its hand firmly and keep its sweetness from flying into gourmand territory - and it just *stays* there, never missing a step, never falling out of rhythm. The leather, wood, and patchouli are all well balanced to tether it firmly to the ground without shouting over the softer elements, keeping the overall profile just warmly dark and masculine enough without employing the usual bombastic bravado. As everything begins to blend and quiet down, the vanilla reveals itself to be naturally at home with the same modest pithiness. The name "Hardkor" seems contradictory to what's actually in the bottle, to the fact that there are no corners, edges, or straight lines anywhere to be found: the texture of this is impeccably smooth and perfectly inoffensive. It's pronounced yet not cloying, fruity yet not sweet, leathery yet not old, delicious yet not gourmand, safe yet not generic. This is the olfactory equivalent of "he who knows how to speak, knows also when." From the moment I put it on my skin I could not stop smelling it and had to exercise a pointed effort at composure to not order a full bottle within ten minutes. I'm giving my sample the due diligence of wear before purchasing, but this will absolutely be my next buy.

A very playful scent, and a very hard one to describe as well. Opens with a combination of the semi-synthetic leather, some incense, and then mostly mango and passionfruit, the sweet leather is on-level with the fruit to begin with, very exotic, fruity leather instead of harsh smoky leather. It has a pretty distinct overtone of incense. When wearing this out and about or at the office, I've gotten a lot of people asking what that smell is, all reacting positively to it, but everyone seems to describe it the same way, "kind of like incense", and there is a very incense-y dry character to the leather, which is made pretty tropical with the mango. Slightly similar to oud maracuja, but a good bit more rounded, smoother, less oud which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but not a good thing either. It's just different despite being smell-wise adjacent. Oud Maracuja is very distinctly passionfruit and mild oud, where this is more incense, mild/smooth leather, and mango. Most prominent smells: mango, incense, leather, some sweetness Occasions: Very interesting scent, very out of the ordinary, fantastic for an afternoon or evening sitting at a bar or café. Shirt mostly or entirely unbuttoned (mandatory)

Cant leave an objective review due to this being the first fragrance that REALLY opened my eyes to how good fragrances can smell and make you feel, this is a late night alleyway in a medieval city, youre walking on damp cobblestone and in front of you, you notice that there is a tavern with dim lights on with a few people outside, chatting and about to go back home to rest for the night, you can smell the leather vests and boots that they're wearing, all damp because of the mild rain, and the scent of that leather slightly mingling with some flowers that are nearby, the leather easily overpowering them however. Anyway, yeah, i didnt expect to like this and to be fair, i didnt at first, but when i sprayed it the second time, i absolutely fell in love so hard, literally the best scent ive smelled ever

The word Hardcore is one of a kind: it indicates something extreme , pushed beyond the limits. In this fragrance, which I really liked, there are two extremes: the incensed / leathery one and the fruity one. I must say that the evolution on my skin follows the inverted pyramid: initially the very dry incense dominates, mixed with strong leathery notes, they remain and see an explosion of sweet and juicy fruit. An exceptional contrast, and those who know me know that I don't particularly like fruity perfumes but here, thanks to the leather that constantly disappears and reappears, I find everything very pleasant. And the name fully represents it. Wishlist ? Absolutely yes, I miss such a fragrance. “Everybody becomes a Dragon” by contemporary artist Miu Komatsu.

i just can't get enough of this. it's strong, sure, it gets to your head, but in the best way possible. it's the best leather fragrance i've ever smelled - an old jacket that has just returned from a spa day at the leatherworking shop, all cleaned up and nourished, but still holding all the memories of decades of wear time. it still remembers the smoky bitterness of all the packs of cigarettes you've carried in its pocket, the warmth of the campfires you've set up, the richness of all the perfumes you've worn each time you put it on, the sweetness of a spare fruit candy that has melted in your pocket all the way through the lining. this is a beautiful, warm blend that makes me feel nostalgic about things i never had.

As @chandrashekhar mentioned below, this pre dates Oud Maracuja. It isn't the same. But there are similarities. Both have leather, oud, passion fruit. And I believe they both share amber as well. This wins on two fronts for me. 1. Price. 2. My wife actually likes this. Not so for OM. It isn't as potent. But lasts over 8 hours and projects well for the first few. Really fantastic tropical leather vibe. For almost half the price, you can find a 100ml bottle of this compared to a 50ml bottle of OM. I am going to go with the original and take this any day. Going on my want list.

You had me at "burnt by the heat of pants on fire". At my age this doesn't mean what you think. As in " this would've been great to wear when I nearly burnt the barn down setting fire to an infestation of pampas grass". I've had this sample for ages but never given it a chance until the other day. The imagery of horny Gen Z's in a Berlin techno bar does little for me but when I ignore that and just let the scent speak for itself it's actually a fantastic composition. The leather is front and center and perfectly supported by the other notes.

This is really a masculine manly fragrance and I really like it, it's a sexy leather oud combo, But the dominant note is the leather, the oud in here is tamed and nothing funky about it. The fruity aspect is only in the beginning after that it's the leather with oud with a woody spicy that gives it a herbal & animalic note in the dry down. For me I really like it because it's a creative DNA which is not repetitive plus it's a sexy vibe. Not a blind buy for sure, the performance is 8 hours.

So I just got my hands on a sample of Hardkor and WOW It opens very fruity and sweet, I can sense the tropical notes there, but those first notes quickly mix with the leathery oud base notes. It is not too sweet, but a more elegant mix between fruity and woody. It is for me a very summery scent, to wear at night.

this is an amazing leather scent with a little sweetness from the blend of fruits. pretty good longevity. my bottle is almost empty💔

What's so good about leather that people love it ? it is that there is nothing more masculine than a leather jacket, a pair of Rayban and a motorcycle. This is what this smells like in a bottle, beautiful picture of a Man, with a big M. If you ever played Cyberpunk this would be Jhonny Silverhand an Hardcore Metalist, a charismatic figure and even a terrorist. Strong, infallible and a fucking cool character. This is a strong leather fruit punch fragrance it takes a bite on the line of Tuscan leather and gives it a more leathery less synthetic twist. Although I would say this is a very good take on the scent line it lacks a bit of authenticity, at the end of the day I've smelled this plenty of time in other brands. 7/10, buy it if you want to smell like The Man.

Hardkore is a perfume that speaks of the contrast between good and evil, sacred and profane, light and darkness. A perfectly balanced unisex fragrance with a dark side of oud, patchouly and resins wrapped in smoky incense that is intertwined with a bright and lively fruity and floral side, with leather acting as judge between the parts. A magnetic fragrance that attracts the attention and curiosity of those who smell it and brings a lot of compliments.

This hause has great bottles. This is the only scent from this brand that stands out and is a niche. Starts with sweet fruits and some flowers, then gets more into smoked leather woods and spices. At drydown there is something pitchy breaking through that is nice. Concept similar to ombre leather but more dirty and different accords to do base and pitch. Not a blind buy and not for everybody.

Ombré Leather with mango and exotics, or a more niche Gisada Ambassador. Unfortunately, there’s something in the base that reminds me of mushrooms. Similar to the mushroom note from Sloth by Zoologist

In sequence, a burst of fruity notes, but mango and blackcurrant are primary. I can detect candied sweetness from passionfruit, coated in vanilla. Immediately followed by smokey, freshly lit incense. Once the fruitiness fades, leather takes the stage transforming the fragrance almost entirely. Once evolved it is still very warm and incensey, but with orchid and lily of the valley lingering noticeably in the background. The floral notes contribute something very exotic and sensual. This fragrance goes through multiple transitions, but in the end it is not my favorite from this house. However, I won't deny that this is a wonderful work of art and surely puts on a show.

A less potent rendition of Oud Maracuja. Same leather note as the one found in Tuscan/Ombre leather. I don't sense any mango, it's straight up passionfruit, just like OM. The oud is way toned down in comparsion to OM. Absolutely stunning fragrance and half the price of OM. OM is amazing but it's cloying to the point of almost being unwearable. Too potent. Saw someone compare it to Gisada Ambassador, I personally think they have nothing in common.

Let me just slide this comment here: This fragrance was released before Oud Maracuja. Oud Maracuja is a sweeter, more unisex, and rounder version of Hardkor. After smelling Hardkor in Milan this past season, it became a favorite over and above Oud Maracuja. It's sleeker, has sheen, is more dry, and textured. Hardkor > Oud Maracuja.

Extremely well blended fruity oud fragrance. Gives the feeling of a dark, fruits shisha. Not too sweet and the leather / oud are not offensive or seem animalic at all. Highly recommended for a dark sophisticated playful aesthetic or any loves of perfumes like "Oud maracuja" though I do think this is actually even better than it.

the opening of the fragrance is really nice. very leathery and sexy. and then it starts to smell like a beetroot on my skin and i have to say - it’s not really my thing. definetly needs to try on skin, before you buy it.

At first it smells like tires and that's what frightened me, but as soon as you spray it not on a blotter but on skin or clothes, then you'll feel the beauty of this scent. It's definitely on sexy brutal male side.
