*EDITED* Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 059 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased June 2017 It's true this one is closer to Green Irish Tweed than Cool Water. I hadn't known this because I didn't get to test Green Irish Tweed, and I had spammed Cool Water usage in 2013. Getting this one was definitely a breath of fresh air of sorts. It showed me something can be so clean, fresh, yet green and herbal, somewhat soapy. This is what you want if you don't want to bother with the pricey and unnecessary alternatives. Those are extremely strong vs. Aspen, so if you're always around company that just hate fragrance, we all know what to say about that, then stick with Aspen because it's the unique one in its category. If Cool Water reinvented Green Irish Tweed, then it was Aspen that last reinvented Cool Water. More manly and versatile. Clean scents aren't supposed to be extremely strong or overpowering, that's what control and overspraying are there for in a clean scent. You dial it in, like a guitar amp. Don't put too much bass! The mids is where the tone natively and naturally sings and shines; let the treble follow the mids and the bass rest behind the treble. Aspen is like the 'woman tone', it just works every time you hit that vibrato. Brassieres loosen and the swoons erupt. You almost cannot ever get enough of things like this. I haven't worn it in a long time but always respected the hell outta it. I ran out of my Green Irish Tweed decant a few years ago because it's truly iconic. I'm not a freshie/sports scent guy, yet that's what I partly grew up around and that category has always been addictive to the point of nose-blindness. Cool Water is Aspen Night - pretty good for evening outings. You could also say Tsar/Jaguar for Men is Aspen Intense!! A lot of excellent actors wore Green Irish Tweed when it was new, they probably still do now. Batch: 6067 from 7th March, 2016.

Aspen is a classic scent that I never had the chance to own until adulthood. Growing up, this was very much the fragrance of the “cool kids.” Recently, I found myself thinking about it out of the blue and decided to see if it was still available. To my surprise, it was — and at around $15 on Amazon, I couldn’t resist picking up a bottle. Rather than reviewing the notes in detail, which are well documented elsewhere, I’ll focus on how it feels for me. Aspen does have a noticeably synthetic character, especially when compared to the fragrance lineage it’s inspired by. That said, it’s still instantly recognizable and nostalgic in the best way. I wasn’t aware of Creed Green Irish Tweed until much later, nor that Aspen ultimately traces back to that DNA through a chain of inspirations. I did wear Cool Water more than twenty years ago, though I don’t recall making any connection to Aspen at the time. Recently, after receiving a sample of Green Irish Tweed from Dillard’s, my immediate reaction was, “This reminds me of Aspen.” I don’t mean that dismissively — the difference in quality and refinement is obvious, with Green Irish Tweed being noticeably fresher and smoother. Where my experience diverges from expectations is in performance. On my skin, Green Irish Tweed faded fairly quickly, becoming a faint skin scent within about two hours. I still have some of the sample left and plan to revisit it in warmer weather. Aspen, by contrast, lasts a respectable four to six hours for me. Aspen will remain in my collection as an easy, outdoors-friendly option — something I can reach for when I don’t want to overthink my choice. It may not be refined, but it’s familiar, reliable, and carries a sense of nostalgia that I still enjoy.

I'm done with these fragrance sites. They're ridiculous. I need to point out, my signature fragrance for the last 40 years has been Guerlain Vetiver eau de toilette. Recently this last year, picked up Aspen, and though it is a completely different fragrance, it shares the same characteristics of being modest and masculine. It's great for just tooling around in the yard etc. Lasts about 7 hours as a solid skin fragrance on me. I save my Guerlain Vetiver for the rest of the time. The dry down on Aspen smells understated, like fresh laundry drying outside in the country. It doesn't smell earthy, it doesn't smell woody, it doesn't smell minty, It doesn't smell musky, I smell zero vetiver, I smell zero cedar, it doesn't smell like a ski jock getting laid in an alpine forest in the mountains. Let's start off with the basic fact that there are no oak trees or oak moss in alpine areas. The name Aspen has nothing to do with the price of wheat with this fragrance. If it smells like a place, it smells Iike the area of Zephyrhills, FL, which is rolling green hills with oak trees with lots of oakmoss and clear springs that have a 150 foot visibility. I smell a bit of lavender, a hint of conifer, oak moss and amber and that's it! Very nice, fresh, clean, green but not sappy, snotty and pretensions like Green Irish Tweed. The marketing stuff is nonscience!!! It's even worse when you see all these people repeating it on here. Perfect example is Stetson Cologne. There's nothing masculine, cowboy, western or rugged about it. It's flowery, powdery, feminine and extremely sappy.

The perfumer creator is Harry Frémont known for also for CK One and Estée Lauder's Miracle. Looks like perfumers only get credit on here for a fragrance based on its price. I think we need to get scientific and actually get down to what things (chemistry) smell like as opposed to the hallucinations people are having on here mostly related to the price. Most of us take a bath (I hope), wear a deodorant and most of the newer ones are now actual (not linear) fragrances. For example, Old Spice Pure Sport deodorant is also a soapy/ sports/ citrus /musk skin fragrance, Dial 3 in 1 Recharge, Cedar leaf is also a lasting green sharp/ Sports/ camphoraceous and herbal skin fragrance. So whatever you're wearing, I don't care if it $1000 a bottle eau de toilette you will smell like the combination of all those things, plus of course your particular skin type. So, you want to get to GIT and even slightly improve on it (less like a French whore)? Get the Dial Men's Recharge bath wash , Old Spice Pure Sport clear blue deodorant stick and add three (3) spray of Aspen on inside of you cotton shirt upper chest (terrible sprayer 3 = about 1.5). You get GIT that I like more because it's slightly more understated, sharper, less floral, less powdery, more masculine, soapy (athletic). Long lasting good 8 hours, low projection, close to the skin (totally different but a natural part of you like Guerlain Vetiver is). You can ask the most experienced perfumer in the world about what I'm saying and they will agree. This is not rocket science. Is chemistry not pretension girls? Man up!

I will unabashedly exclaim my love for Aspen, although looking around, I see a lot of blase reviews. This will not deter my affection or enthusiasm, over what I have gifted to every man in my life as: "The Right of Passage Perfume". This was also released on the shirt-tales of Irish Tweed, in 1989, and just as Cool Water's uber-synthetic archetypal aquatic was boldly issued, and became the world's new cliche. Aspen, not to be outdone, also delivers a grand dose of dihydromyrcenol, which was still a budding science at its novel unveiling. Bright and frosty notes of verdant herbaceousness, align with coniferous astringency, like rays of light drawn to a center point of refraction. Further incandescence is projected through radiant citrus and mint chords. Aromatic cedar and benzonic lavender create a clipped freshness, as sharp as lofty atmospheric air. Oak moss, amber and musk cast the shadows, and ease the spritely tension, cunningly created thus far. Stunningly low prices only further stir greedy purchase impulses. With fragrances being more widely accepted as gender neutral forums, I wore this the other day, receiving compliments almost immediately. When I returned home to my bottle, I winked at its lovely simplicity. Despite seeming to portray the caricature of a lumberjack, this is a very polite scent. Manners are kept and courtesy maintained, while sweet sillage slips around the room with proper refinement. Even the prissiest noses about can't help but exclaim, "Oh, Yeah!".

Lasts 4-5 hours on my skin and 7+ hours on clothes. Cheaper than even Nautica Voyage, at least in my country. Great value and not everyone is wearing it anymore and opting for the default NV nowadays. Makes you unique if you wear this as your daily scent instead of NV which smells great but way overplayed already IMO. NV has become the Sauvage for cheapies nowadays and most teenagers and students wear NV and has become associated with that age group too much. I wore Coolwater EDT in the 90s and the current iteration doesn't smell like the 90s era CW anymore. Current Aspen smells like the green version of the 90s era CW EDT and smells more like it than the current CW EDT. Hope Coty never changes the scent profile for Aspen and this one actually deserves to get an updated or modernized version with higher oil concentration. Everyone should have this cheapie in their collection IMO but great that most are just opting for NV by default. Makes Aspen users more unique. Aspen is very inoffensive and you can overspray and re apply all you want because it's cheap. Safe for school, office, elevators, public transport, hospitals/clinics.

Edit: a knowledgeable reviewer described Aspen as "hollow." That's exactly the word I was reaching for below. * * * I respect Aspen more than I like it, but it's fantastic *for the price.* There is a slight similarity to Cool Water but CW is a touch sweet (Aspen isn't really) and (can't think of the right words here) CW is more tightly focused, not as broad as Aspen. That may strike some as too quiet and sedate, bordering on dull--like the reviewer who said he's smelled more interesting bars of soap. I confess, I can see his point. Yes, Aspen is a...relaxed...fragrance. Not weak. Laid back. How many can you say that about? Not many. Arguably it would be more interesting if it had more zip and zing, but then it would resemble SOOOO many other greens that it wouldn't stand out as it's own thing, which Aspen truly is. So I respect it. Accept it for what it is, or don't. But don't seek to see it changed, it ain't happening.

Love it! No perfumer listed, but if you told me it was crafted by Pierre Bourdon, I would believe you. It’s Cool Water AND Green Irish Tweed. Not identical, but same family. Greener. The bottle is HIDEOUS, but apropos for the scent contained within. I just don’t understand why all of the regulatory info had to be printed in HUGE FONT on the front of the bottle. The whole back and bottom are completely bare. Terrible design. Same problems with this one as most of the Coty frags. Poor projection and Sillage. People will notice it when you no longer can, but not at any kind of distance. BUT! It’s $20 for the big bottle. If you like Cool Water or GIT you will like this almost guaranteed! Fresh forest on a cool day in spring, sitting by the waterfall, listening to the birds chirping, grateful for the break in the heat. Not overly masculine, it’s not a Polo. More approachable and better translates for modern times.

It’s really beautiful for about a 30 minute window of time. At first spray it smells very harsh like a cleaning chemical/disinfectant, for a few seconds. After that it’s a very nice, bright and fresh with lemon and green notes, this part I love. After that the musty basement accord begins to dominate. My family owned a carpet cleaning business when I was a kid and I spent my youth working in soggy water damaged basements so I know the smell very well. This stage lasts to the end. If you want to smell like a dirty dish rag that got put away wet then this is for you. I wish they would reformulate/update this and use better quality modern aroma chemicals, or do an “intense” version like what they did with Drakkar. There’s a lot of love and nostalgia with this one (for some reason) and the dna is still very popular with similar frags like GIT, clones, amd Cool Water still selling very well.

This is the perfume of my first love. He was not my boyfriend though, because I was 14, he was 28, and he was a priest. So this love was really innocent, but strong as a storm. So later, every time I smelled this on someone (really not often, I don't know why, as I think it is crazy good perfume , especially for this kind of money, but maybe it's because it wasn't in the shops here in Poland anymore), I was washed away by this waterfall of strong emotions. This Christmas, 21 years after the first encounter, I bought Aspen for my husband. I hope I am not going to hell! For me it is quite unique, especially compared to modern men's perfumes. But I have a thing for 90s perfumes, that's for sure. It's very fresh, but not harsh, green, somehow ferny (fougere) and sexy as hell... But then again, I am not being objective.

Being a fan of the Green Irish Tweed DNA, I've always wanted to try Aspen. A new bottle was always on my wishlist, but I ended up finding a full vintage Quintessence bottle locally for a little more. 1989ish. Had it for awhile but because of its rarity I don't spray it often. Can't speak to the current formulation, but I absolutely love this. Much more than Cool Water. No salt water accord. CW leans more nondescript florals whereas Aspen leans into the lavender and pine. A more fougere take. I'd put it smack dab between GIT and CW. If I didn't have access to Green Irish Tweed, I'd be more than happy with Aspen, though it's not nearly as good qualitatively. Still would like to try the current version. I have a vintage and modern bottle of Cool Water, and the difference isn't as big as people would have you believe.

None of these reviews make any sense. Cool Water is oceanic, and Aspen is very green much closer to Green Irish Tweed. In fact, the dry down is almost identical to Green Irish Tweed. Longevity is 6-8 hours on my skin. It's a very pleasant, clean, humbly masculine fragrance thats just as nice as GIT in every respect. Exact same kind of vibe. One or the other. However, if you're impressed with the price of things, it won't smell as good, it won't last as long, ect. etc. But it sure will to everybody else. Ironically, my signature fragrance (scratch needle off record) for 45 years has been Guerlain Vetiver eau de toilette. My point is, let's not poo poo Aspen. It is every bit as credible as Green Irish Tweed only difference is price. Relax people.

One of the best woodsy/piney outdoor fragrances ever created. My collection will never be without a bottle of Aspen! I was in my 20s, and the memories are vast. I played lead guitar and lead vocal in a hard rock/hair rock band on, what was known then in the music scene as, the West Coast Circuit. Whenever we traveled up to the northern part of the coast, this is one of the colognes I would pull out of my suitcase. The totally hot groupie girls always loved it. It fit the scene, the environment, and the whole nature-aspect of the great northwest. Times sure have changed ... and so has my hair! But this great scent will remain timeless. Right now, it can be found for $8.49 on eBay for 4 oz. What? Get yourself a bottle NOW, and keep on rockin'!

This is one of the best bang for the buck fragrances. You can actually buy this at a local fragrant shop in UAE for 29 Dirhams! First loved since the free sample scent inside a Sports Illustrated Magazine leaflet in 1995 and reacquired recently this summer of 2019, I still find it hard to believe that this is actually the younger brother of Cool Water. I used to think that Aspen is the father of Cool Water. Same and familiar drydown, same strength of opening projection, but there is difference in smell and flavor. Aspen has distinct green flavor compared to Cool Water but the quality is still at the same level. Oh, Aspen, where have you been all my life? This is so nice, so green and fresh like a mountain forest on a summer day! This is delightful, takes you back, but not too far - still feels modern despite everything. Even younger guys than me could rock this. Definitely deserving of a comeback like @Pranav said! The bottle is fine, the atomizer too, but the stamped sheet metal cap is a surprise and a first to me. Slides on smooth though, sorta satisfying. Guess they really cut corners, huh? I'm not too familiar with the canon of Coty. I wonder when exactly it was discontinued... my bottle (batch 3212) is at least 2 years old despite being brand spankin' new!

This is a very strong dislike for me but at $9 w/shipping for 100ml bottle I’d say this is a safe blind buy. Anything that’s been around this long and is still selling is worth checking out especially for this price. I’ll never wear it and it’s not worth selling but it’s another bottle in my collection. This smells like it comes from the same era and genre as Cool Water but this does not smell like it as some suggest. This is much harsher and more chemical than CW and doesn’t smell fresh or clean or aquatic. I can’t comment on performance since I had to wash it off. I don’t typically get headaches from scents but this one did it. A

Not the best performance but such a nice bouquet, I love GIT and have been a pretty die hard Davidoff Cool Water fan but this is better than Cool Water and for about 1/15th the price of a grey market Greed Green Irish Tweed tester it may be the gold medalist of that group. Dried down from the slightly cloying opening it shares with CW the green, woody, and animalic give way to an occasional sharply floral and or fruity note. Might even be my favorite barbershopy fougere frag above Chanel PE but too early to tell. Definitely my dumb reach and lounge fragrance for the foreseeable future.

When baby girl opens up with the green notes and citruses not only smelling similar to eucalyptus, but also behaving similarly, opening your sinuses wide up. Yeah, after the koala heaven opening, it gets pretty linear. But it remains complex regardless. Synthetic, but hardly as synthetic as some designers and niches that cost eight times as much. It's a great value and every last bite in the base and middle of the pyramid is apparent. I really like it. Fresh and green, while also being so smooth it's almost creamy. One of the best cheapies I've ever smelled.

My dad first suggested this fragrance to me when I first mentioned I started to get into fragrances. It was my first real full-sized bottle that I decided to buy, and it was honestly my favorite scent. Not only does it hold a sentimental value to me, being one of my dad's favorite colognes while he was my age, but it honestly matches a lot of my personality. I like being outdoors, and this is also a great dumb reach when I know I'll be outside a lot. When I'm indoors, it reminds me more of a barbershop, but it smells great nonetheless.

I can't help but to still love it for he nostalgia factor alone. It still smells nearly identical as far as I can tell and it's another one that certainly transports me back in time a bit. This was a major staple in my small collection througout Jr High and High School. Right alongside my other Coty fragrances like Gravity and Preferred Stock. For what it is and for the price you can get it, I've gotta give it a solid B+ in the cheapie category. Still leaves you smelling fresh, clean and a bit green.

I bought a large 118 ml bottle of this together with Cool Water and Hot Water both by Davidoff. I compared it with the CW and yes, they share some same note. But they don't smell exactly the same. Aspen is greener while CW is more aquatic especially the one that I bought that is a 2022 production as I said in my other review. But I love them both. CW is still my favorite. Price wise, I'll go with Aspen rather than GIT. I can buy 40 large bottles of Aspen for the price of a single bottle of GIT.

I remember back in the day when it first came out. It was a beast of a fragrance. Sadly after reformulation, it’s not as strong as it used to be. I remember Aspen lasting a good 5 hours on my skin, but now after two hours I need to reapply. Sad that these fragrance companies keep reformulating these iconic fragrances. If the original formula was still in Aspen, it would fly off shelves today. Great fragrance.

It's pretty much identical to Cool Water but as someone else said below 'with green mixed in'. So wearing Cool Water whilst walking through a forest towards your log cabin and the lumber that needs chopping. Cool Water is a breathtaking vista of the Mediterranean Sea whereas Aspen is a walk through the forest towards the Great Lakes. A truly transportive and evocative fragrance. Lovely!

Aspen. This is about the simple highly effective pleasures in life. Better than the modern version of Cool Water. Second skin, never boring, blends in and last in an intimate way, mood booster and confidence enhancer. You live the wilderness and it’s an immersive experience. Never without anymore, a lifeline in the crowded space of ever-blossoming and dying cycle of perfumes.

I've always loved this one. Got it as a present back in 90 or so, still smells the same. I was surprised it was still made. much less finding it in Walmart.I just got into fragrances recently and here we are. Sweet clean crispy forest. The bottle and name are a good representation of what's inside. Safe green freshness is what this offers, worth a blind buy at this price.

Trust your nose and enjoy what you enjoy. It may be considered "cheap" or "linear" or "synthetic"; and it may carry certain associations from being a Coty product, or from being a 90's drugstore stocking-stuffer. However, I simply love the smell of Aspen--and so do the people around me when wearing it. It's a joy to wear, and garnishes a surprising number of compliments.

An excellent bang for the buck, Aspen comes off as Cool Water's more outdoorsy brother, 7 o'clock shadow, flannel shirt and all. Probably the best thing you could find in the drug store. Synthetic up close, but quite green and fresh from afar. For what it is, I'd give it an easy 4 stars. Great for the farmers' market and those kind of mornings.

I had a small bottle of this 15-20 years ago. I don't remember this being this good. This is extremely under rated. Green, mossy, clean, pine, woody. scent (subjective) 9/10 performance 6/10 value 9/10 A+ Love this scent. winter time scent. good for work, in the office, daily activities. would not wear it on a date or a formal occasion.

$10 dollars a must have smells so fresh and clean not cheap smelling either last about 3-4 hours projection not so good but the price is too good to pass, reminds me of green irish tweed they actually perform alike but this is way cheaper and you can buy as many as you like and apply as much as you want it will not offend

Great juice for its price, I love this DNA - Green Irish soap FTW. Don't spend on Cool Water if you're on a budget - get this instead. Update 11/08/2025: Having smelled the Jaguar for Men (Green bottle), I can now see how this would be in the middle in between Cool Water and Jaguar for Men. All are "Green Irish" scents

Aspen is a very good cologne for the price. My dad wore this in the early 90's. I loved it. This year in the pandemic l decided to buy one for me. It reminded me of my dad. I miss him a lot. I will always keep one in my wardrobe. It is fresh like Cool Water with a lot of green notes which l love. Great 80's creation.

Picked this up as a blind buy as it was inexpensive and I am still building my collection. My God do I like this! It has a nice green character, very aromatic and has lasted several hours now and I'm still digging it. What does this say about me that this might be one of my favorites? I guess wear what you like.

Give it a try.. it does deserve a come back. Really clean fresh green fragrance which takes you to the forest. Uplifting fragrance It is not dated as I never smelled anyone like this. So don’t go by comments dated for this unless you personally have smelt this back in those days.

I have it, and I love it. Not because it's ground breaking and unique, or because it performs like a monster. But because it just smells good. It reminds me of many designers, and for what it cost me (about 10 usd) you can't go wrong. Makes a good gym scent, if nothing else.

Smells like you walked into a magical forest and found a pine tree with lemonade seeping out of the branches. A set it and forget it everyday fragrance. You will smell fresh and clean for as long as it lasts on your skin. For the price, everyone should own a bottle.

Came across an older bottle...angled square of frosted glass with a large foil leaf sticker on the front. NOW I get Aspen. The juice in this one is way better than my more recent bottle (my review of which below still stands). But for this version, a full smiley.

Very similar to Cool Water. But Aspen has less of the more striking lavender/minty part. Aspen gives me more pine-needle. Definetly GREEN. Makes me think of walking through a lush moist pine forest. Perhaps in Aspen?

This smells like if a pine tree made an after shave company. Very fresh herbal clean smell. Very good smell, it just doesn't last super long on my skin. I'd reccomend it for an everyday scent. Safe blind buy!

This is my hands down favorite cheap men’s fragrance.. you can spray the crap out of this.. smells great, musky dry down.. good for after the gym, or out of the shower. And you’ll never feel wasteful.

Aspen is a really good smelling fragrance and I wear it often. It is similar to Tres Nuit, which I like, but seems a bit less powdery and more fresh smelling to me. I would rate it 8/10.

Cool green scents. It's like i'm picturing myself waking up in the morning from a camp in the middle of the forest with big woods and ready to take my fresh cup of joe.

This is Irish Spring soap in cologne form. Nothing else. Great scent but sadly it doesnt last long.

Aspen For Men by Coty — The "Camping King" (PNW in a Bottle) Let’s be real: I’m not wearing my $40 "Date Night" cologne when I’m sitting by a campfire or hiking a trail. I wanted something that cost less than a case of beer, smelled like the outdoors, and wouldn't make me cry if I dropped the bottle on a rock. Enter Aspen. You can find this at Walmart for like $12. It comes in a green bottle that looks like it’s from 1989. And honestly? It’s perfect. 1. The Smell People say this is a clone of Davidoff Cool Water. They are half-right. The Difference: Cool Water is the ocean. Aspen is the forest. The Notes: It opens with a blast of mint and green leaves, then settles into this balsam fir and oakmoss smell. It smells literally like crisp mountain air. Because I live in the Pacific Northwest, this scent just blends in with the environment. It doesn't smell "perfume-y"; it smells like I just walked through a pine grove. 2. The Comparison The "Fragrance Heads" will tell you this is a cheap version of Creed Green Irish Tweed (a $300+ bottle). The Reality: Does it smell as smooth as Creed? No. It’s a little sharper and more synthetic. But does it have that same "green/fresh/clean" DNA? Absolutely. For $12, it gets you 80% of the way to a scent profile that rich guys pay hundreds for. 3. The Vibe This is my "Camping/Outdoor" scent. I keep this in my glove box or my camping kit. It’s crisp, clean, and unpretentious. It’s weirdly great for camping because it smells so much like pine trees that it doesn't seem to attract bugs the way sweet scents do. 4. Performance It’s an Eau de Cologne (weaker concentration), so don't expect miracles. I get maybe 2–3 hours of good projection before it vanishes. But at this price? I just keep the bottle in the truck and re-spray whenever I want to freshen up. Verdict For the price of a hamburger, you get a classic, masculine, green scent that fits the PNW lifestyle perfectly. It’s the ultimate "beater" fragrance—cheap, durable, and smells great in the fresh air. Rating: 10/10 (For its specific purpose: The Outdoors).

ve always wantes to try Aspen. Ive tried the original GIT, Tres Nuit by Armaf, The Irish Gentleman by Alexandria Fragrances. First off, The Irish Gentleman is so exceptionally close to GIT, its not worth spending the money on the original. We are talking 97-98% from start to finish. I will never buy GIT again. But wanting to try this classic budget. I always liked its box and presentation ans name. The initial spray was a blast of greens, lemon, bergamot, and lavendar. It was more lemon forward than the others in the DNA. Where Tres Nuit really pushes more lavendar-Iris floral than GIT/TIG. Aspen has a stronger lemon-bergamot note. I also find Tres Nuit a bit too cloying and overwhelming. Aspen is much more linear than the others. For a budget cologne, its to be expected. Its sillage is very weak and longevity is only 2-4 hours. But for $10-12, not bad at all. I do not get the piney juniper, woody aspects others have been discussing. I feel aspen is stripped much of the woodiness despite its name and packaging. Rasasi Egra is the GIT clone to go for of one wants a more coniferous take on the DNA. I would say Aspen is closer to GIT/TIG(I do not seperate them, TIG to me is an extrait of GIT) than Tres Nuit. If youre wanting a more purple floral interpretation, Tres Nuit is great, if youre looking for a fresher cool citrus accord, Aspen is your best bet. If you want a more pine forwaed confierous experience, Rasasi Egra. If you want a true nearly 100% identical dupe of GIT but last hours longer, Alexandria The Irish Gentleman.

Imagine it's the 90s and you see a guy that looks like Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder - that's his signature scent. Just had to add it to my collection, 118ml for just $6, new. It does smell like Cool Water, but it's different. By different, I mean CW is more aquatic, freshness comes from mint, rosemary has a nice bite to it, where in Aspen, it comes from balsam fir and the green notes. There's also something bitter to it, mostly close to the skin (orange blossom?), kind of tea leaf but not exactly. Lavender & oakmoss is what ties this one with CW. Initial spray is great, lots of fir, cedar and juniper with zesty lemon, it's sharp and fresh, 10 minutes after it calms down and stinks, that's my Les Grossman impression, it's like an aftershave on a sweaty guy's hairy chest, not cool. Half an hour later it changes again, to green & fresh spicy, stays that way. It is 90s in a bottle, but 40yo guy in the 90s, not a teenager in the 90s. Is it worth adding to your collection? Depends, if you like green potions and actually collect scents of specific decades, then you definitely have to get it. Would you wear it, I don't think so. It's too outdated, I may only spray it when working from home just for fun and nostalgia, but I am aware wearing this in public would turn heads, not exactly in positive way, as it suits a guy in his 60s, which I am not. That said, I don't find anything bad about it, smelled worse, its just does not fit anymore. Spray it for fun in private, give it a try!
