Chanson d'Eau Vanilla

I found this in a Canadian dollar store for $5 and bought it on a whim before I saw that it was by Coty. Let me tell you, Coty is bringing it with this. To me, it smells exactly like Phlur’s Vanilla Skin— a boozy vanilla custard that isn’t overly dessert-like. It doesn’t project hugely but lasts overnight on me. Heading back to said dollar store tomorrow morning to buy them out. What a great little find!

The top is a pleasing, zippy, cool pear-vanilla. I don't get apple, but I tend to zero in on pear. Spun sugar begins revealing itself in the middle, and the scent gradually warms up. The eventual drydown is a very warm and cozy balsamic vanilla with caramel. At that stage, I *think* of ice cream, maybe with warm pie. But because of the warmth and lack of pastry notes or spices, I would not classify this as an ice cream &/or pie scent. At least on me, this mist has excellent longevity -- PARTICULARLY for a mist! I would qualify that this is a low projection, no or very low sillage scent. Made in Spain. Found in a Canadian dollar store for $5 (yeah, I know). Well worth it. It's nice to see that Coty is still making "drugstore perfumes." I also think this would be a great layering tool.

I'm big fan of vanilla so when i saw those for 10zl in Biedronka, I run out to buy. strong sugar notes with vanilla. almost giving headache, for me in a good way actually! so much sugar vanilla!

The notes are deceptive. No apple or pear, and no spun sugar. It's all sour acrid balsamic with a slight hint of vanilla. That's not even on my skin but smell just as bad on my skin. The only other fragrance I smelled similar to this was the sweet pea vanilla from temu and even that one got slightly better after maceration. This smells gross and I never though I would say that about a fragrance labeled as vanilla. But I read they supposedly they came out in late 2025 and then came across something else that said 2024. If old stock is being sold then that might explain the absence of scent notes.
