Pret a Porter

This smells so familiar. I know it's been around forever, but this is my first interaction with this scent. In my 20's when this scent was at her peak, I was drowning myself in a cloud of BBW scents....Cucumber Melon or Seaspray (does anyone remember this one, it's not in the index!!) I smelled like all the other girls i knew, I guess conformity was my thing then but now I strive to do the opposite. This is very citrusy and fresh. But not light, it has a weight to it, a maturity even. But not dated. This is an awesome workday, everyday scent. I love this and I'm so glad I found it. I can't stop sniffing my arm.

Very popular in Poland. It's cheap drugstore smell but I like it a lot. It's citrus, creamy and little bit sweet but very fresh smell of white flowers. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long but you can spray it whenever you want and how much you want since it has such a low price.

I just got this in a lot of perfumes I bought and I really like it- very very citric and fresh- the grapefruit, orange and pepper really stand out. Decent sillage and longevity- great price.

It's citrusy, it smells like lemons to me, but there's nothing wrong with that, a great perfume for it's price. Inoffensive.

So cheap in price , so expensive in smell. Really love this cheap and cheerful scent.

I can imagine Rachel (from Friends) wearing it. It's so '90s, it's posh, it's unique... From my "modern" perspective it's not for everybody today. It's not timeless and it's kind of strange. Not in a bad way. Some people will like it forever but I think younger generation will not be so excited about it. Opening is citrusy (a lot) but very soon you can smell a lot of tamarind (in combination with other spices). Citrus part slowly fade and soon you can't smell it at all. Now you can add some freesia and magnolia for a short period of time (fade away very soon) and then add some sandalwood. At the end scent is very heavy. All fresh notes are gone so you can smell only well blended spices and wood. If you like that go for it. I like it...but even I can't wear it every day. Longevity is weak-moderate, and sillage is moderate. At start I would say that is a female scent but at the end is more unisex. Try it before you spend your money. On the other hand...it's so cheap...so maybe it's still a good blind buy?

Great value for a timeless scent, too bad the longevity is so poor. On me it disappears almost instantly, they don't make'em like they used to :( I remember smelling this so strongly on some of my girlfriends, but now even if I spray it an smell it directly, it wears off in a couple of minutes (and I have the EDT version, not the body spray). Looking for a "dupe" with better sillage if anybody knows one, in the meantime it will be my "home office quarantine" scent. I do associate it with an office environment, a chic young woman with black and white clothes and high heels :) So I'm not that upset it fades away so fast, but I probably won't buy it again soon.

I'm specially fond of this fragrance as it came out when I was a teenager and it brings back great memories...It is one of the few fragrances that I've managed to finish off within a reasonable amount of time (taking into account that I grow tired of perfumes quite fast, it really is an accomplishment). It's a nice non-invasive scent, but its composition is so complex that I feel totally incapable of distinguishing any note, except from some sandalwood as a base note. It's a very feminine and chic scent, fresh and spicy at the same time, and it's quite cheap, so it's always a staple in my collection.

Tested this in a supermarket in France (really) - creamy, flowery and fresh with a slight spicy-musky dry-down. Not similar to CK one IMHO. This is more creamy and less zingy, more comparable to Tommy Girl, if any. Timeless, as others have stated, and a true steal. I can imagine that the ingredients were better around the time it was first introduced. But for the price it is an absolute steal (moderate sillage and longevity). Wouldn't mind buying a bottle, this is 10 times nicer than many offerings being currently sold in upscale shops.

the DNA reminds me of a Calvin Klein or Issey Miyake fragrance. Clean, aquatic, and zingy. A sprinkle of masculinity in the Oakmoss and Black Pepper, but still totally unisex. Diplomatic, can be worn anywhere. It's missing some depth for me, so I mixed it with Black Pepper oil. I think the biggest difference between 90's, 00's clean fragrances and today's clean fragrances is the woody depth/base notes brands tend to add to modern ones.

I really enjoy 90's fragrances, they are different to the popular scents of nowadays without being "dated" if that makes any sense? This perfume is definitely a fresh/clean smell, without being musky, powdery or overly citrussy. The grapefruit & black pepper are the notes I can smell most prominently, it's spicy without being overly masculine, this is the sort of perfume that would be perfect for the office!

Imagine yourself peeling an orange beneath a magnolia tree in full bloom. This is the olfactory equivalent of that experience. This perfume is lovely, refreshing, unisex and absolutely office friendly. This perfume is not, however, a substitute for the glorious Frederic Malle Eau de Magnolia, as some reviewers claim on other sites.

The nostalgia of this scent... takes me back to middle school, when if you were cool you had Pret-a-porter. I really wanted this back then... Now - it's a sweet memory of youth and no worries. Doesn't last, it's more of a SPA fresh scent. You will smell it only for a short while, but then again - it costs almost nothing.

When the citrus notes start wearing off, you can distinguish a pure Freesia scent, resembling perfectly to the natural one. The only drawback for this perfume is that it lasts so little, i believe less than an hour. Otherwise, good value for its price.

Woods logs, bitter citrus peel , neutral two dimensional flowers. One of the best thing I’ve experienced; it speaks about glittering air and icy mornings, joy, easiness and light heart. Is it Light Blue’s inspirational source?

I really love freesia, but i don't like sweet perfumes. I am looking for a real freesia scent for a long time now, i tried a lot but unfortunately did not find the one yet.This one is the closest so far.

Revisiting this during a heatwave. Clean and refreshing. Modernly it feels unisex. I prefer it to CK One or Light Blue for occasions that call for a 90s freshie.

It's as citrus as it gets, slightly floral. Really fresh, the perfume smells just like the bottle looks. Definitely worth buying if you're into citrus smells.

In the end of 90s and begining of 20s you can smell this everywhere, this fragrance was so popular

''Pret a Porter'' is a beautiful citrus, fresh, spicy, woody scent. When I first spray it I get a lot of citruses. Then I can smell some spices, some florals and woody notes. It is a little peppery as well. A little bit. I think that it could be unisex for sure. It has that freshness. It's a little green and clean. It's a little sexy and serious as well. Perfect for every day use. I think that a lot of people will like that as well. It is not a safe blind buy though. I think that it would be better if you smelled it first. Logevity is good and sillage is good as well. BEAUTIFUL scent for sure. UPDATE. I can’t wear this perfume. It’s not that it doesn’t smell good. It does smell good, but it is on the MASCULINE side.... I tried but, I can’t wear it..... Smell it first!

This was a "gateway" to more mature and expensive perfumes. U could easily go from a smart casual look to an office look. It makes me think of a woman on a mission wearing a crisp white shirt on the up and up in a first "corporate world" job =) I'd say it was perfect for women in their 20's and early 30's. A great buy really, when considering its price. Nasal attack... something in the composition of this fragrance suffocates me as soon as I spray it... there are so many citrus fragrances far better than this one ! I will never wear it again.

Oh no, I really don't like this. I thought it would be a safe blind buy as I favour citrus summer freshies but there is a floral in here that I don't get along with. It is too screechy for me. I was so excited for this one. Was going to give it to my mother but I don't want to smell this on anyone.

Of course, Coty's Pret-a Porter is just another light citric-floral cologne. Probably more like what is now termed a 'body spray', ...and priced about the same. All the same, it's main notes of grapefruit and freesia are pleasurably bright and clear. It still makes for a perfectly delight summer scent, with a fresh air of breezy urbanity. Likely intentional, Pret-a Porter, and its 90s-era bottle fully recalls the same-named Altman film. ...and the same idea too. A lightly refreshing amusement, clothed in easily chic allusions: Paris, fashion, etc. It's bold, black, red, and mostly clear bottle has also aged well, becoming memorably distinct. The odd black cap looks like it has a pair of beady eyes, but those are really the two visible holes of a four-hole button design.

Nice fresh perfume - I spent almost a year ONLY with this perfume, when I decided I'll take a break of all my perfumes. I like it a lot, it's a nice, complex blend of fresh notes like grapefruit and orange, spice notes - cardamom and nutmeg and white florals, all of it on dry woodsy base. The most prominent is grapefruit, florals and cardamom on me - and this combination is really pleasant for me. It's fresh and elegant, and also easy to wear, universal. I think I'll purchase this again. Lasting power is mediocre, corresponding to the price (ehich is really good).

Yes yes yes! Guuuurl I bought this on notino for £6!! Thought nothing of it ....love at first sniff has become my signature scent Smells of freshly washed laundry , slightly citrusy, fresh, clean light non offensive. (Could be unisex has no gender in my opinion) She’s an out of the shower scent, she’s a going to bed scent, she’s a gym scent she’s a clean girl era scent whatever u need pret is ur girl.

Bought this again today (at 34) after recently discovering that one of my favorite high-school fragrances still exists on the market. So happy for that! (and a bit nostalgic...:) Pret-a-Porter was one of the first fragrances I've discovered and I'll always love it. Such a fresh, youthful and 'positive' scent, a tiny bit on the spicy side, fit for all occasions. Very feminine, clean and elegant.

I really want to buy this again, I used to wear this on a semester when I was at university and I used to get a lot of compliments from my colleagues. I think this was my most complimented fragrance ever, which is funny, since it's also one of my cheapest ever :))). However, it's a great every day fragrance with a decent staying power, very casual, very fresh, and with a very good price tag

Triedit in a drugstore, I was curious about the price/ value. Now that has longevity, hours later I can feel wafts from my hand, a pleasant citrusy magnolia smell what I can feel. I couldn't decide if it's good or not, ao asked my bf about, he said it would be good for me if I was a 50-60ish yr old lady who goes to the opera (I'm 30)😂

It’s what you would expect from a low price Coty fragrance. Reminds me of the Minnie Mouse perfume I had when I was 6. Starts out a little sharp and very alcohol-y, but turns into something very forgiving that dies down quick. Everyday and office friendly, fresh, unoffensive, but also a little bit cheap and synthetic.

A smell of my childchood..I was so proud when I had a bottle...my mom got it for herb-day she didn't like so I was keeping in my room...I felt so happy ..90's child with a perfume I saw in tv commercial WOW:)

Love this one... Fresh... Clean... Sharp and not offensive. If you upscale the synthetic ingredients and use natural ones you can easily find this gem among niche perfumery. Excellent cheappy

This is a wonderful perfume. Fresh, fruity, comfort, elegant. Ideal for the morning! You can wear it at work and you will get many compliments! The bottle is clever and beautiful. I love it!

This is my mother's favourite and signature scent and she has a good nose. Fresia, radiating more than arm's length and lasting more than 6 hrs. I love it too.

Sweet freessia and grapefruit peel. Such a unique scent with long projection. It's my old time favourite for over 20 years I always coming back to it.

My all-time favorite, I am using now the 7th bottle or so and I just can't have get enough of it. It is such a pure fragrance, good for all occasions.

My first scent, mom gives me edt natural spray on Christmas when I was 11 or 12 yrs old. Love it. Fresh and clean.

This is a nice everyday citrusy scent. Lasts a long time as well. I like this one. It is new to me.

I have the pink one "glamour chic" which also smells good :)
