Hyper Cuir

I am so happy I found this fragrance. It took me a couple of days to realize why I took a liking to it - but it finally dawned upon me, and the discovery made me like it even more. On my skin, it smells just like (my memory of) Escada Magnetism for Men, the first perfume I've ever had, now sadly discontinued. A powdery, somewhat synthetic haze over the base of vanilla, hinting at well-tanned leather but never quite getting there. To me, very carnal and sexy - and yet understated, somehow (perhaps thanks to moderate sillage). I recommend!

The name is Hyper Cuir, but looking at the notes the leather seems to be hyper missing. Nevertheless, this is quite lovely. Like a musky, aldehydic leather in the opening and dries down to a soft powdery musc. I love it, but at €190, it's way overpriced in my opinion.

The most true leather perfume out there. It smells exactly like an old biker leather jacket. N The notes listed here are wrong.

This is an airy, floral leather (soft, well-worn), brightened by some aldehydes and the noted lemon at the top, some indistinct florals in the midsection - could be jasmine, could be rose, it’s all just a blur anyway - and a light leather bound to a bit of vanilla in its base. Another reviewer below called it understated and I’m inclined to agree. Found at a discounter in Paris and immediately snapped up two bottles.

Right off the bat you'd be surprised by its almondy facet! I get marzipan from the get go but then, as i focus, i can detect the leathery backbone. It's soft, musky, alluring. Quite unique in its genre a must-try!
