Florentine Freesia Flower Water

Opens with beautiful Freesia with a fresh green milky sappy note.It reminds me of that new sweet baby smell.I really can't detect Lily of the valley as a note in this.I do pick up the slight spiciness of Cyclamen though.After a few minutes I can only smell Freesia as a skinscent. This Perfume is very lovely but ephemeral.The bottle and atomiser is stunning to look at but sprays tiny amounts of perfume in an ineffectual manner.I think marination would be the order of the day if you want this gorgeous scent to last.

A light scent with a fair amount of sillage in classic Italian cologne style. Freesia is not dominant in this, it's balanced with pear and orange notes. Amber gives it a golden feel, so I'd prefer this for late August or September. Lasts about six hours on me. The 10 ml sprays are generally affordable at resale.

My friend and I went to Crabtree and Evelyn specifically to test this perfume, and we both thought it was horrible! We honestly couldn't detect Freesia at all, it was completely drowned out by a foul smell.... like dandelion milk or something equally bitter. Very disappointed, it was not at all what I expected looking at the ingredients! :(

The smell is headache inducing, and doesn't even smell like freesia. I used to work at a store that carried this scent, and whenever someone sprayed it we would have to air out the whole store because no one would be able to smell anything else over it. The bottle itself is very pretty, though, so I still have my bottle (won in a contest) sitting on a shelf where it can be seen and not smelled.

Freesia, pear, lily of the valley in a green fresh cloud. Pure and innocent, inoffensive and lovely spring and summer scent.
