Aventus 10th Anniversary

to the reviews below that claims the 10th anniversary aventus is different from the current regular bottled aventus, you're all either lying, never owned or tried the actual 10th anniversary aventus, or was scammed into buying a fake or a watered down bottle. as for performance, I actually read this page around 10am this morning and wanted to respond to the lies posted here right away but refrained as it would be better for me to wear the perfume and monitor the performance hour by hour and then post the results here. from my wear: 10:20am = I applied a single spray on the top of my left hand and went about my day. the scent is as fruity and as woody as the current normal aventus bottles. 11:20am - 3:20pm = still smells and projects exactly like it did when I first sprayed it. 4:20pm - 6:20pm = still smells the same. the sillage and projection reduced to around an arms length, it still smells the same. anyone seated next to you can tell its aventus given they are familiar with the scent. 7:20pm = still smells the same. it starts to become a skin scent. I could still catch whiffs of it whenever there's a light draft. 8:20pm = still smells the same. now its actual skin scent. I don't smell it in the air anymore. I have to put my hand close to my nose to smell it. 8:45pm = the smell starts to change. you can still tell its aventus but the ratio will be more towards the basenotes and lesser of the mids but the fruits is still very much present 9:00pm-9:20 = the scent becomes fainter, projection is about an inch off the skin its 9:25pm now, i'm about to take a shower, its been over 11hours and the scent has not disappear nor has it fallen apart. it still smells like aventus. Advice to anyone interested in the 10th anniversary bottle or any aventus: 1. Do not take the risk buying a bottle from ebay. 2. Do not take the risk of buying an unwrapped bottle from any website 3. Do not take the risk of buying a bottle from lesser known websites / shops 4. Either purchase one direct from Creed or New/Wrapped from any well established websites. Aventus is a stupidly popular fragrance that's known to have people rushing to buy them for less, this exposes the buyer to all sorts of scams by freaks online. anyone can buy a full bottle of aventus + an empty aventus bottle and packaging, decant half the bottle into the empty one, dilute them and sell them off as slightly used. anyone can sell fake bottles on ebay. imagine now the innocent buyer who unfortunately purchased these scams. they will get a bad impression of aventus, and what happens next? either give it away or try and resell it off to another innocent buyer that will also inherit the bad impression, rinse repeat... same thing for unwrapped bottles from some discounters, whose to say the previous buyer who returned it did not decant a good amount of the juice and then dilute it before returning it for a refund? good luck!

I personally notice the ambroxan is increased also more lemon than bergamot. The fruit mix has more of an Aventus Cologne twist to it than the original. (Could it be the orange). A better dry down than original Aventus with an incredibly smooth leather and smokiness. Also better performance and longevity. Closer to vintage batches but not quite there. I am now the Proud owner of the Anniversary edition bottle. The question everyone wants to know, is it different from the original? The answer is....... No. I’d say it’s 98% the same. The other 2% could just be a batch thing more than a difference in composition. I don’t get any of the new notes listed, although it is very fruity compared to my other batch from earlier this year. So maybe the melon and additional notes have added to that. I’d say it’s woodier also. But we are talking minuscule differences here. I’m really searching for the different nuances. Like a previous post said, if you love Aventus you will love it, if you hate it you will hate it. It’s as simple as that really. The longevity also seems to be a bit better than my previous batch. But again, we are talking little differences. I’m just happy to add this to my collection and to use it very sparingly. The bottle also doesn’t look as bad as the promo pictures. I’m happy with it.

Fragrance 9.5/10 Longevity 7/10 Price 4.5/10 It has a much fruitier opening than the original Aventus. What's not to love here, you got more notes for the same price plus the "limited badge". I am not a professional neither do I have a nose of one, I am sure that I can't be more knowledgeable than Erwin and Olivier Creed. What I know for fact, the Creed family knows their trade so I highly doubt they would release a limited edition of Aventus that doesn't smell like the original Aventus. I will only say there are hundreds of fragrances that don't last as long as when it first came out all because of the latest IFRA reformulations, I bet Aventus got under that rule as well. So for those that remember how good was Aventus in 2010 I lower my hat! To me, it smells the same as any post-2015 batches of Aventus +++ plus fruitier 10 min opening due to the larger number of notes added. I LOVE IT!

I love this. I love Aventus. This is Aventus. THIS IS NOT A DIFFERENT FRAGRANCE. To be more precise, i literally asked at creed and they said it's a normal 2020 batch of Aventus in a collectors bottle. Can we all stop with the pretentious talk now please ? I know that batch variety is a thing with Aventus and even Creed in general but some of what you guys type here is straight up ridiculous. How can so many people cry about current Aventus batches (btw i agree that they are worse now) but at the same time praise this 10th anniversary when it's literally just a different bottle ? lmao Edit: BTW i literally own this and another 2020 batch of regular Aventus and they smell 100% the same.

I love it!!! Must say one of my favorite batches of aventus. Bit fruity in the opening like in the 2019 batch but I got a little bit better Performance. The dry down is typical aventus.. just loveable. I think it was worth the purchase and makes a good collector Item. I get about 9 hour of performance with like 1.5-2 hours Sillage. The performance is okay but i guess it will get better over the next few months due to maceration. I would recommend it. A good batch of Aventus that will rise in Price because of the limitation. Gotta keep in mind that creed got sold to he Spanish businessman and chairman of Diageo. Maybe reformulations in future... so it could be a great investment.

After wearing a handful of times.. I'm noticing much more vanilla than any other iterations of Aventus or batches. Needless to say it's one of the best quality vanillas I've ever smelled. Also the fruity opening is less fuzzy than any newer batches I've smelled. I definitely pick up an apple melon combination with other citrus 🍋🍊 that gives me a bit of an Eros vibe just a million times better. Cheers.

Just bought a bottle and it is the same juice as the regular Aventus. Might be an investment for the future due to the limited nature. If you love Aventus, you'll love this. If you hate Aventus, you'll hate this. I think that's the only thing we can agree on.

The notes listed here on Fragrantica are verbatim from the noseparis website. The note list there was there even before reformulation. Please don't think this is going to be any different then any other 20 batch.

This is going to be a grail batch in the future. Love the smoky birch! As Perfumeboy22 said, this opens up more citrusy and less pineapple than regular Aventus. Then the smoke kicks in, amazing.

Adds a hint of playfulness to normal Aventus. But still not so different???? Feels like just a collector bottle than a different fragrance.

Aventus but the pineapple and other fruit notes are amped up a little.

Anyone telling you this 10th anniversary edition is the same as any other Aventus makes me wonder if they actually smelled both(if not any) before posting their review. So far I own(or have owned) 17V01, 19Y11N, 20A01N, 20C01N(10th annivesary edition) and tried many other 2018-2020 batches in perfumeries. The differences between the 10th anniversary edition and regular Aventus are noticeable from the moment you spray it on yourself. Upon spraying, I sometimes(can only detect it once out of ~5 wears) detect a smell strongly resembling melon, it's only perceptible in the first 2 minutes. The next ~40 minutes that follow are truly marvelous, juicy pineapple combined with an unknown citrus and a smokier vibe than any other batch I've tried so far. After the initial stage of euphoria, some notes start unveiling, the pink pepper(which contributes to the smoky vibe) and an extremely natural smelling orange. The pineapple gradually loses strength and is eventually overpowered by the orange. This middle stage lasts 2-3 hours. As someone mentioned in another review, it does remind one of Aventus Cologne. I believe the pink pepper note used here is the same as the one used in AC, and the orange here does remind you a bit of the mandarin in AC, though the latter feels lighter, airier. The far drydown is the most disappointing stage, to me at least. There's no sweetness at all, all I can pick up is the remnants of the orange and a smoky vibe which kind of reminds of the smoke in CDNIM, without all the chemical/synthetic/sharp qualities. I also don't pick up any woodiness at all, it's just dry smoke with some leftover orange... Performance on my skin is decent, 2-3 hours of decent projection and a longevity of ~10 hours. Smell wise I much prefer traditional Aventus to this 10th anniversary edition, mainly due to the lack of pineapple after the initial stage and the lack of sweetness in the drydown in the 10th anniversary one.

I have Aventus (batch 2020) and the 20th anniversary Aventus (black holo bottle). I cannot detect the ingredients listed on here but there is a difference to regular Aventus. It’s citrusy in the opening similar to Aventus cologne but right after that it becomes a smoky scent, much more smoky than Aventus which opens pineapple. Unfortunately the smokiness doesn’t translate to better performance. I still get an hour or two more from Aventus. It’s a shame because I really like the fact that this one smells smokier, and think of it as if it was another flanker of Aventus in a way. If I had to choose one I prefer Aventus because it has better performance and longevity. Stick with the original.

I've got a January 2020 aventus and code on my bottle of this is February 2020 and they're different. Not massively and only noticeable when comparing side by side. I only bought this version as it was cheaper than a new standard aventus. I needed a new bottle otherwise I wouldn't have bothered and definitely not worth overpaying for unless to complete a collection or as an investment. My son has an aventus from last year and that smells more like my normal aventus and my son doesn't like this version. Skanky as he said

Sadly it's just like regular Aventus. I've compared it with the different batches of regular Aventus in my collection and it's totally similar to 2014 version of the og. There's a bit more smokiness in it and the pineapple note feels less pronounced. The hype was created just for the bottle, as totally black bottles are rare in creed collections. It gets a score of 8/10 from me.

If you're purchasing this 10th anniversary and thinking its exactly like original Creed Aventus "black", and it has huge projection/sillage with 8 hours + longevity you will be highly dissappointed. This is a similar scent, about 40%-50% similar to original Creed Aventus but this is a very light scent comparatively. It's projection is very soft and only lasts 2 hours with 4-6 sprays on your skin. If you're buying this from Russia, China or Singapore on Ebay or Amazon, well you're probably going to get even worse performance. Scent: 6.5 Sillage/Projection: 5 Longevity: 5 Unique/Industry First: 4 Quality: 5 Overall this is a decent scent but its honestly not worth more than $30 - $35 bucks anywhere. If you paid more than that for this, buyers remorse will hit pretty hard..... This may be 10th anniversary Creed Aventus, but this is about a 5 out of 10 rating when original Creed Aventus is a 10 out of 10. This 10th anniversary version reminds me more of Aventus Cologne than it does Original Creed Aventus.

I find it hilarious how many people think this is different to normal Aventus. It's Aventus in a different bottle. That's it. Creed himself said it, it's just a limited edition bottle with the same juice. All this "it's more fruity, smokier, less vanilla" nonsense etc no, no it isn't, that's you trying to find a pretentious difference where there is none. Reminds me of those wine snobs that people have fooled into waxing lyrical over a £5 house wine because someone has put it into a £4,000 vintage bottle. I bought this as an investment. It'll pay off. Especially in 5-10 years time when sausages are saying it's some grail batch because it's in a nicer bottle. CDNIM still smells better than this as its closer to the original 2010 Aventus than Aventus is itself. Much like Sillage and Milestone are closer to the old formula Creed's than the originals are. You're all being fooled, and it's funny.

This is imo a mix of aventus and aventus cologne with something extra but anyone saying it's the same juice as regular aventus claiming to be experts lmao if u look it up or even ask creed themselves it's not the same so 😂 🤣 🤷

One of the most disappointing Aventus I have bought , longevity & sillage way too short, performance wise the traditional aventus is better . But the reformulation after Creed sold their company is total disappointment compared to the other aventus that I tried before , eg. those ending with batch number N. Will stop buying Creed Aventus for now till they improved. Bye Creed.

According to Creed this is the same as Aventus. The only difference is that the original matures faster because it's in clear glass. The 10th anniversary editions dark bottle protects the juice so that it can age slower for those who collect. Simply put just like all batch differences the age of the juice dictates the note pyramid which is why I love this juice so much. My 2019 bottle has become less sweet now and is much stronger. I layer it with vanilla to put the sweetness back if I want the same scent as 2019 when it was fresh but that does seems to trigger the same old feeling of going nose blind to it so I actually like it smokier because it stays present to my nose throughout the entire wearing.

Something about modern Creed Avetnus and SMW formulations... I put on a normal amount of sprays and almost immediately can no longer smell the fragrance. Then when I go to do my wash the shirt I wore smells very strongly of the fragrance. I have never gone nose blind so fast from a fragrance. I understand that I can still get compliments wearing such a fragrance, but wearing such a fragrance is not enjoyable for me because I can't even get a whiff of the $400 juice i just splurged on. I wear fragrances for myself, so modern Creed formulations are essentially useless to me. If i want compliments for some reason i just wear Bleu de Chanel. For my own enjoyment Creed used to be my go-to but no longer

Brought 2 years back and was sitting in shelf. I started using it now I noticed few changes with Creed Aventus, Performance of much better than Creed Aventus as Creed Aventus these days v soft compared to old versions or batches of Aventus, Opening is different in this perfume more Fruitier & I noticed more Citruses tones compared to Pineapple tone and in dry down more vanilla in Anniversary Version. I like Aventus 10th Anniversary as present batches of Creed Aventus dont last long and It is all Season Scent and one of my Signature Scent these days.

Coming here after saving this version of Aventus for 3 and a half years .. OMG it looks like yesterday when I bought it... I can tell you it works very beautifully on my skin , I think it got matured while it was in the cupboard. Good projection and last long. It's not beast mode I would say little below that , it reminds me of one of Aventus old patches but I don't really remember which one because I am using Aventus since long time and I really don't pay attention to patches. It's a beautiful fragrance and am happy I have it .

I've tested this a few times now- And decided not to get a bottle.. It is Aventus but it's also a little different. It's a little different in the opening and it's a little more tart, citrus heavy as opposed to juicy, piney, pineapple heavy like usual. It honestly smells more like CDNIM than regular Aventus oddly enough. Maybe it's the addition of ambroxan because it is definitely more woodsy.. It's also not a sweet as regular Aventus, especially in the dry down. I do like it, I prefer regular Aventus- especially for the price.

Please bear in mind that I don’t hate Creed Aventus, nor do I believe it’s anything special. It seems obvious to me that Creed has a very definite marketing ploy that keeps up the interest in Aventus by keeping the conversation going in the frag community about different batches, bottle sizes and more recently, a limited edition. This type of strategy would almost be admirable if it didn’t happen at the enormous expense of fragrance lovers who end up paying hugely inflated prices to buy into the “hype”. You have been warned...

Based on scent alone, it would be so redundant if you already have a bottle from a decent batch (My 18B01 smells better than the sample of this anniversary edition sample I got - because I thought it's actually something new). And if you do not have Aventus Cologne and want one then get that one separately. The Aventus scent DNA has aged quite a bit and there's a whole lot of talk about it anymore (that's why they had to come out with this anniversary bottle to stimulate sales).

This is my first bottle of Aventus ever, and let me say this: I have tried dozens of clones and alternatives, and none of them reach the perfection of actual Aventus. I own Bond.com and Pineapple Vintage Emperor Extrait, and I have tried Club de Nuit Intense Man, Hacivat, Mancera, and Explorer. Nothing comes close to the real Aventus. If you don’t have a bottle yet and you want one, I highly recommend you buy this limited 10th anniversary edition because it will hold its value.

One of my friend gave me a decant of this 10th anniversary and I must say..not all the notes above are popping out. to make it short to compare this from the other batches, this has a little bit sharp opening, less smoke and muskier and got a leather-ish touch. it is still good but it feels like its a clone of Aventus if that make sense.I'm a little bit disappointed. imo, old batches of creed aventus are still better and also cdnim got a better dry down than this.

In 2020 Creed commissioned a perfume for Aventus 10th anniversary. It’s a Chypre Fruity fragrance for men. If I compare it to Aventus I should say there is 90% similarity! This is exactly the original Aventus, only a bit less fruity and a little smokier in the new bottle. Here the performance is perfect, but all in all I think if you have Aventus, the new flanker is just an offer for collectors. And If you ask me, I would absolutely prefer Aventus.

dissapointed to say the least. this is not another batch variation nonsence, but Aventus is dead to me. A mere shadow of what it once was. to me it barely smells like it once did back in the day. definetly not worth the price. PS: Where is the pineapple that made Aventus, Aventus??? they traded the pineapple for boring citrusy/fruity notes. wheres the smokiness? like i said, The King Aventus? yeah it died a long time ago!

Creed Aventus is my signature scent for the last 8 years and you can imagine the number of bottles that I have used additionally to the back up bottles with different batches. This one the 10th anniversary version has nothing to do with Aventus even with the weak batches in the 100 ml bottles. It is in a different direction and way weak in performance. Buy the original bottles and don’t buy this one.

I came here just to warn people NOT to believe that Khulood - Le Falcone smells like Aventus 10th Anniversary. It’s not. Doesn’t even have its own page here on Fragrantica yet, so I’m posting this as information here. I saw 2 videos on YouTube claiming that it is the “apple version” of Aventus 10th Anniversary. It is not! Don’t make the same mistake I did. I bought it as a blind buy — big mistake.

This is not Aventus as we have come to know it. This occupies a place somewhere between Aventus and Aventus Cologne. I think that pretty much sums this one up. If you like both of those fragrances, you will like this one too and it's worth the money because when is there gonna be another 10th Anniversary Aventus? Never.

I'm not an Aventus fan, and i dont follow the hype, but one thing i know, this is just the same thing, on a diferent bottle. Btw why use Ambergris and Ambroxan together ? Ambroxan is a synthetic note, which was discovered in the 1950s as a replacement for Ambergris.

I Bought this bottle in December 23 2020 haven't sprayed no more than 10 sprays it's so nice looking and juice smells so good I just end up buying regular Aventus so I won't use the 10th anniversary bottle.

Nothing new here, except for the bottle. I purchased it as more of a collector's item than anything
