Blue Cedar & Cypress

Ok, sorry, but this will be long lol. I got this for my husband recently as a small birthday gift with some other things. When I looked up ones he has liked in the past, I really thought he would love this one. He likes how it smells out of the bottle, and I personally went nuts smelling it on him, omg. I just hugged and hugged and sniffed him like a creepy maniac LOL (he totally doesn't mind that lol). BUT honestly, he only wears it for me, because he just wasn't really loving it. I get mostly Lemon/Lemon Leaf/medicinal/herbal, and cedar on him. I love that about it though. It's just a hint of sweetness to it as well. But, that lemon leaf and sweetness I think is what turned him off as he felt it was too feminine. Maybe that's why I love it lol. However, I told him if he wasn't into it, that it was ok, I'd wear it myself if he felt it leaned femme, and I'd find him something a bit less unisex. It's almost like to him it smells more feminine and to me it smells more masculine. But when he wears it, I totally smell it as very masculine. To his nose it's feminine. When I tried it on, I smelled it still a bit masculine though it was definitely turning more feminine as it dried, and he smelled it as even more feminine on me then, but it smelled totally different though. Super bergamot-ish on me. I was really expecting it to still smell masculine on myself though and thought I may regret spraying it on myself before work after already showering lol and instead it smells just like C.O. Bigelow's Lemon Leaf on me! I love Lemon Leaf by Bigelow but it's staying power is ridiculously low for the price, more like a splash, so I haven't bought it since my previous experience trying it. This is such a perfect and MUCH, MUCH, MUCH longer lasting frag dupe for that one for me. When I let him smell it on me, it had the same affect on him that when he wore it, it had on me! LOL It seems to be one of those pheromonic odd ball frags that the wearer may not "get it" but the smeller sure does! It's like magic- smells like an entirely different fragrance on each of us, and we each experience it on each other very differently. So, this ended up on my side of the dresser, but he promised to wear it for me during those intimate moments lol. I think he is ok with the drydown, but not sure he is a fan of the opening (due to the lemon leaf). But on me, that opening lasts the ENTIRE time. It's staying power and sillage is outrageous. One spray of this in the bedroom and you can smell it all over the house. Some may think that is over powering, and that's understandable to those who have sensitive noses, but my nose is a bit stubborn. I love frags that I can smell from afar. That's what we pay for, right?! Anyways, fellas, if you can get by that opening, it's seriously divine to my lady nose. I'm sure it is to others as well. This is not a shy frag either as most Cremo's aren't. But it's the kind of fragrance that I can't imagine anyone would ever be offended by. It's bright and fresh and just the right amount of woody, even herbal though it's not listed. Definitely doesn't have the "shower gel" or "shaving cream" smell that most cheaper frags marketed to men do. It's not the classic vintage barber shop fragrance. It smells super nichy, and more expensive than it is, and performs like a beast. I hate that it didn't become my husbands fav, or one of them because I'd love for him to enjoy it. But god, I sure do. Not just saying that because I bought it either, as it's very affordable so it's not like it's a big deal lol I truly LOVE this on him, just not his thing. But that's ok, because we both love it on me LOL.

Good practical, inexpensive scent to smell great. Cremo is a brand I really like for their personal care products and inexpensive fragrances. Blue Cedar and Cypress seems to be one of their flagship fragrances, as they have it available as a body wash, deodorant, solid cologne, and EDT. And for good reason. It has a top of lemony freshness but also woodsy depth with the cypress and cedar wood. Worth noting is that the notes on the box aren't necessarily comprehensive -- Cremo has a video on their official Youtube talking about the fragrance, and they mention lavender being in the mid, but it's not listed on the box. I work a sort of warehouse/maintenance job in an office building, so I often bounce between the more professional setting and a more manual labor setting. This fragrance feels great for both, a balance between woodsy masculinity and appealing freshness. I also like to wear this casually when I'm out being active, like at the gym. I went to a swing dance class just tonight, and showered to get nice and clean with the body wash and deodorant beforehand. Gave the EDT three sprays before leaving. Was rotating between partners, and the third time around one of them (a cute blonde at that) said, "Whatever cologne you're wearing, it smells AMAZING." What more can a guy ask for when he puts on a cologne? To me it makes the $22 price tag for a full 100 mL worth it. One final word about longevity -- yeah, it's not a champ. It's hard to detect after a few hours. But, that's where the solid cologne comes in. It's less expensive than the EDT, and easy to stash in a backpack, pocket, or glove compartment. Rub a little bit on and boom, you're back in fragrance business. I dunno, I just get some satisfaction out of coordinating things like that. Anyways, my point of this all is that it's a nice, flexible, fresh and woodsy fragrance that will get you compliments. Can't go wrong for the $22 price point. And coming from a personal care brand, it has a lot of matching products you can supplement it with. Gets a thumbs up from me.

Just got this fragrance as a Christmas gift from a friend at church and dang, it's really good. Cremo aren't easily available in Canada for whatever reason but this friend is from the USA and travels frequently between Montreal and Lancaster, PA because she lives here but her family is there. She has gotten me, to date, Spice & Black Vanllla, Palo Santo, Bourbon Vanilla (which is the worst one, really seems so close to Bourbon & Oak but a bit sweeter) and now Blue Cedar & Cypress. She also got her husband who isn't into fragrances, Silver Water & Birch and I was able to make a decant from his bottle. I managed to find Bourbon & Oak for a good price on Canadian Amazon, so now I have 5 total plus a decant. Out of the 5.5 that I've tried, this ranks high. I like it much more than Bourbon Vanilla, Palo Santo and Silver Water & Birch. For me, it's slightly behind Spice & Black Vanilla but slightly better than Bourbon & Oak. If you've smelled Atkinson's The Big Bad Cedar and enjoyed it, you'll love this one. It's very close to the Atkinson's but a bit sharper and a tad spicier. It smells amazing and so much more expensive than it costs. I haven't tested the performance yet but if it's anything like to other Cremo's I've got, it'll be lasting a pretty long time. Very happy to add this one to my collection.

I haven't been this excited about a new fragrance since Ombré Leather from the House Tom Ford last year. I first heard about Cremo back in 2012 when I purchased one of their premium shaving creams. I thought it was smooth and well executed back then. That trend has continued with their exploration into the fragrance market. This stuff smells of pure masculinity. Cedar smoke and cypress earth. You can't go wrong and Cremo certainly doesn't. I can imagine this going very well at a holiday party in the cooler months and being damn right sexy on a risky summer night. Very versatile. It will put age on younger guys and youth on older ones. And for this price point, you CANNOT lose. In fact, it's a steal. I would not be surprised if this stuff jumps up to the $50 bottle tier in a couple years. Get your bottles at this price while they last. Performance has been decent in the first hour, but I just put it on at the end of the work day to see how it smells. More on that later. For now, its amazing. Think log cabins in backwoods Montana, or an elegant gentleman sipping single malt in a casual suit. With Blue Cedar & Cypress, this house has made a very humble statement about who they are and what they are doing. Hidden gem.

I suppose I'll be the first review! I believe there will be many more to come: this stuff is pretty special. It started with the body wash; easy to find, cheap, and great smelling. Then I went to Target and grabbed the edc: at $23, I couldn't afford NOT to buy it! I'm wearing it now, much to the delight of my wife and strangers I encounter while buying beer. It's a fresh-spicy in every sense, and very linear: you won't be jotting down notes 7 hours after application on this one. HOWEVER, it does fresh-spicy extremely well. It's well-blended, fairly natural smelling, and has good projection and longevity. It's like if you took Creed's Viking, compressed it down to the 3 freshest and most obvious notes, bottled it, and called it a day. And that's not a bad thing! To my nose, this is a very classic cologne, but with some modern charm. I'm 24 and wearing it during a warm TX spring, but it's a great scent for all ages, and from spring through fall. I highly recommend picking up a bottle, because it might surprise you.

The performance on this was better than expected. Initially I thought it wasn't too hot, but after further testing I did find it to last a good amount of time on fabrics. For the price this is pretty amazing. The smell was very similar to polo by ralph lauren (original green bottle), mixed with their cologne intense version. It just has this dark smokey, minty fresh smell that is basically the love child of those 2 scents, i would say. The smokey/woody isn't as intense as the original polo, which is a win because I don't like polo for that reason and it lacks the freshness of cologne intense. Polo Cologne intense is a lighter version of Cremos Blue Cedar and Cypress - if you have performance issues with this cologne I'd look into that as it's got this uber fresh just showered and brushed teeth vibe to it without the heavier smokey/woodsy stuff in either Cremos BCC or Original Polo.

I wish I was a guy so I could pull this off better because it smells incredible. I already rock some men’s fragrances easily but this one just smells too much like a man for me to feel like myself when I wear it? I’m gonna give it a few wears regardless and see if I can get more comfortable with it. It’s pretty linear in the air and on clothes (and fills up a room when you spray it) but the second it hits my skin I get this gorgeous sappy pine note that smells really realistic. I grew up in a house surrounded by woods and I spent a lot of time outside. This reminds me of being a kid and just indiscriminately ripping pine needles off of trees, picking up pinecones, etc. and smelling my hands after. This fragrance makes me really happy and I cannot believe I only payed $12 for it.

This is a great fragrance, nice and woodsy. It smells like a niche quality fragrance that's way more expensive than it is. I wore this and I swear to God, I got the unsolicited attention of two hot blonde MILFs on two completely separate occasions. One said "something smells good" and I said oh it's my cologne, she said you smell amazing and gave me the F*CK me eyes. The other occasion was my neighbor, she grabbed, hugged, held and sniffed me like I was a snack. 😂 I can only imagine what would have happened if I had any game but sadly I don't. ☹️ Like none. No other fragrance in my arsenal has gotten me that kind of attention from women.

Wore this today at work and I must say that this stuff ain't bad!!! I purposely sprayed heavy because I'm a truck driver and I work alone so the chance of me offending anyone are minimal. But this does leave a nice trail because my coworker complimented on this fragrance as I was changing my load so the sillage of this stuff was pumping 2.5 hours after I applied it. All in all this fragrance lasted 8+ hours to my surprise 😳. Great work fragrance especially for me because in my line of work most truckers don't wear fragrance!! But I believe that just because I'm a trucker doesn't mean I have to smell like one.

Well, I was shocked at the fragrance. I thought for $12 at TJ Maxx, what can I expect? Well, this is very, very good. It may not be beast mode, but it's sure a darn good fragrance for the money. If Percival is like this, exactly like this; then I'll gladly spend $150 on Percival. This stuff here is just so good, such a well blended fragrance. It makes you feel good all over! If you see it at TJ Maxx, BUY IT. Just buy it and do thank me later! Best $12 spent on a fragrance including Halston Z-14, which the opening of Cremo reminds me of in the vintage Halston.

I was a little on the fence at first, but this is a "love" for me now. I think a few weeks of maceration has really helped this fragrance. It's not a complex scent obviously, but it seems more smooth/blended now. I love woody scents, and this is great for that purpose. It feels reliable and versatile, and very masculine. I think its a great scent for all seasons, fresh enough for summer but it has enough depth to work in colder weather (I would assume, haven't worn it in the cold yet).

Fantastic for the price your paying, better quality than average 100 dollar fragrances, great sprayer, solid cap, nice and simple bottle and a really, really nice woody dry down for the spring and fall. Best trait about this fragrance is that it is still projecting off of my skin after 12 hours, from my experience. Either I have unique taste or most people don’t have very good noses because this fragrance smells really good to me.

While the name would imply a very woody fragrance, the scent to me is closer to that of a classic shave cream. A green lemon is present in the opening, however after the first 10-15 minutes it essentially disappears. The remainder of the fragrance is that of a woody, aromatic, minty barbershop type scent. I suppose the “minty” facet is due to the cypress. Performance is 4-5 hrs. 8/10 for me 😊

In the opening it kinda reminds of some hospital grade hand sanitizer, like those hand sanitizers that can sting your nose if you take a big ol whiff. Once it dries down this note goes away but you can still smell a hint of it. While its performance and sillage isn't remarkable it's still good for 19ish dollars. It also (for me) can smell like diluted lemon water.

I bought this one and Bourbon & Oak. Cedar and Cypress is my favorite of both. You get this almost sweet wood smell that mixes perfectly with the skin. Its a very sexy scent for almost all mature audience. This can perfectly compete with a $50-$100 usd fragrance. Myself, owning Le Labo, Aventus, and other similar ones, consider this fragrance top quality.

Upon consistent wears, the powerful sillage of citrus/cedar lasts about 30 minutes, then it becomes a skin scent for the majority of the wear, which lasts about 4 hours on my skin. This is definitely something you will need to reapply through out its wear, but worth it since the scent is very nice. Also noticing a classic barbershop vibe here as well.

One dimensional but oh so fresh and spicey. It has a nice clean scent that my lady loves. Longevity is about 5 hours, sillage is average. Price is right! You can’t go wrong with this as a blind buy. Match with the body wash for a nuclear blast of a citrus forest. EDIT: Smells like a jr high boy's first fragrance. Hard pass.

Has a sharp, sparkling zesty opening in the beginning that is quite refreshing. Someone below described it as almost having a medicinal like quality which I tend to agree, although not necessarily in a bad way. You will smell intensely clean wearing this.

This is a light, woody smell. The first cologne I ever purchased! VERY cedar. The opening isn't great, smells a bit like alcohol, but with good performance I can endure a couple minutes of a bad opening for hours of that drydown.

Too good for its price! Excellent. Masculine but not too mature smelling. An early spring hike or summer forest smells. ...I’d love to see Cremo do a smokier spin on this for winter and a more floral version for spring.

Smells exactly as the name implies, masculine and woody, nothing less. I think it smells great as a 22yr old and I’ve gotten decent compliments from it, just don’t go overboard on sprays, be relaxed with it.

It has a little similarity to PDM percival. This is a great, safe fragrance. The quality is outstanding for the price. Highly recommend

Batch Code: 012029310 (bottom of the bottle) I was in search of something similar to the discontinued Blue Cedar by Yves Rocher. I used the shower gel but didn't buy the spray and by the time I wanted to buy the spray, it was discontinued. This is close (although not a complete replacement). Cremo Blue Cedar & Cypress was a successful blind buy. The notes listed here are the ones that are listed on the box, so what you see is what you get. And you must like all three notes because they are prominent. The opening starts out with crisp lemon that is barely sweetened so it doesn't go into bitter, sour territory. After 5 minutes the cypress comes through with it's dry, green aromatic scent followed quickly by the cedar base. After 30 minutes the lemon dies down and mingles with the cypress and cedar making it a somewhat linear fragrance. The scent doesn't last long on my skin, roughly 45 minutes with moderate sillage before it becomes a skin scent. However, it does last up to 4 hours on clothes. It is very affordable so you can touch up often without spending a fortune. This is an uncomplicated fragrance and it doesn't really smell synthetic. It's perfect for spring and summer but can also be worn on mild fall days. It's more for casual events/everyday/office rather than formal or date night's. It's refreshing, bright, and a clean citrus-aromatic woody, and reminds me of being in the forest with fallen cedar trees after a cool summer rain. I agree that it is a barbershop scent. It leans masculine but anyone can enjoy this. I'm a woman and I wear this. The bottle is nice and heavy and feels good in the hand. The cap fits snug and the sprayer is smooth and produces an even mist. This is a great scent and I will continue to always have a bottle in my collection. 8/10 (because longevity is poor)

I've really grown to love this one and it's easily in my top 3 favorite cheapies !!! Blue Cedar and Citrus opens up with a very fresh, but somewhat sharp lemon peel type of smell that's very pleasant and clean. Once this hits the mid that lemon peel smell mixes with that bitter cypress making this fresh,citrusy but also green. It stays in this citrus/green smell until about an hour where the drydown kicks in . That's when the lemon goes in the background and the cedar becomes the main player !! In this stage it comes off to me very similar to how Barbadol or shaving creme smells. It's very much a barbershop scent at this point. Performance on this is excellent for a cheapie as it lasts 8-12 hours with very good projection for 1 hour and a very nice scent bubble for 4 hours. Admittedly I thought this was decent at first but many times I've worn this people loved it on me,which is funny because I wear many high end/expensive frags that never get any love. Overall rating -8.5 out of 10 ! A really nice and modern/mass appealing frag for the cheap

One of the great things about Cremo fragrances is they don't beat around the bush when it comes to naming them. This one is called Blue Cedar & Cypress. Cypress? Yup. Cedar? It's there also. Blue? Ya, it's fresh. To me the cypress stands out more than the other notes. Imagine grabbing the branch of a cypress tree and ripping off the needles and smashing them in your hand. Now imagine smelling your hand. I think it's very close to that. If that sounds good to you, then check this out. I really like it. It's not my favorite Cremo, but it is really good. And as a person who was born and raised in Michigan surrounded by trees, but now lives in Arizona in the desert, this scent is kind of an nostalgic to me I guess. And a side note. I wish they would list more Cremo fragrances on here. I think they're all great. Some better than others, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I first got the body wash and I liked it, I expected similar scent profile on the cologne version but the cologne has much more crispy and sharp opening. After my first experience, I ignored the bottle for about a year and I began using it over summertime on humid days and liked it, here's my analysis: It has bitter green (probably cypress leaves), zesty bergamot, woody & slightly salty scent profile. Masculine and slightly above average sillage and longevity. A somewhat sterile, aromatic, woody blast that is quite mature and unique. While using it, the scent reminds me of one of my favorite bottles (Abduction). Similar, but with a slightly cold and fresh twist. After a year of maceration, it leaves a dry, crisp smell on my clothes. On hot days, it works even better on my skin. The scent has bittersweet, fresh, and crispy outcome, it's quite bold and masculine.

Another Cremo, punching above its weight class ($). I've only tried one other - Spice and Black Vanilla - and am a huge fan of that fragrance. This one, not quite as much, but it's solid. Lemon/citrus in the initial spray, this lasts 15 minutes to 30 minutes on my skin, and provides a pretty solid sillage, although I'm not sure I like having a bright, tangy lemony sillage. Dries down and rests right in that spot between lemon and wood, still bright, for a few hours, before finally settling into a mostly woodsy skin scent which lasts maybe another hour. Total longevity on me is around 4-5 hours. Nothing to write home about. Pleasant while it lasts but nothing terribly exciting. Just a bright, citrusy, woodsy fragrance that won't offend, and for the price you can absolutely do worse.

A lovely budget men's fragrance, I picked this up from target, and got their Sage & Citrus body wash alongside it, to my suprise they mixed in a very good way. Though I will mention without the body wash, this fragrance is very good. It has a strong woodsy, and slightly citrusy scent as you would expect. The good part is the drydown, every time I put it on my arm, and I know this sounds a bit odd, but I find myself smelling my wrist where I sprayed it every now and then to please my sense of smell, I've found this fragrance lasts 6-9 hours before I would need to spray it again, but I don't go out much, I would say a very inoffensive scent to wear around, though I've not received a compliment while wearing it, I do very much enjoy smelling it myself, I recommend this 100%.

When I first got this bottle I also got Iced Citron and Driftwood and both smelled exactly like a zesty lemon peel. A couple of weeks ago after 2 years of having them I decided to go through them again and this one totally changed. It retains that lemon smell for about 5 to 10 minutes and matures into a nice woody scent although it is linear and lasts about 4 hours on me. It isn't anything special but it isn't bad either. Shout out to all who hate the lemon, stay away from the Iced Citron one I talked about because even after it macerated, it smells the exact same as it did day 1.

Fragrance Journal Entry #96 This stuff is criminally underrated, what you get for 20$ is a solid grab and go spring scent that pushes off your skin and is non offensive. Now, at first i was instantly reminded of the high school boys locker room AXE body spray type of smell, this was a bit of a turn off but the more i wore it the more i realized it's like a more grown up version of that, synthetic as hell but there's no denying how pleasant this is, perfect for a rainy spring day. Side note this does not smell like percival. Rating: 7.6/10 Blind Buy Safe? YES

Blue Cedar and Cypress is a woodsy barbershop scent. It smells like aftershave when first applied and is heavy cypress during the dry down. The lemon leaf is weak. It's very linear and doesn't change much throughout the full wear. Every time I wear this, it lifts my mood. I think it's great for patio brunch and running errands. It can be a little weird to wear indoors or in crowds. That's how I feel about most green and woodsy scents, though. For the price, this is a good pick up. Not my favorite Cremo frag, but it's still enjoyable.

A nice woody barbershop cologne, kinda has a slight 90's early 00's vibe after 15min. Longevity on my skin is about 4hrs, 5hrs with a couple sprays on my shirt. I think this is a good scent for running errands, meeting for lunch or something casual. I like wearing it in the mornings and at night to bed and for twenty bucks I feel it's well worth checking out.

At initial spray you'll get a strong lemon citronella smell, but that fades within about 10 minutes and the cedar and cypress start to come through. Sometimes cedar can be a harsh scent, but the cypress and lemon do a nice job of taming the harshness and the three scents blend really well together. This is a really nice fresh from the barber shop scent.

I really loved this fragrance when I first got it. The lemon leaf top-note fades away pretty quickly, and it's a nice woodsy scent. On my skin, this lasted a long time, but it had pretty bad sillage/projection. For $20, it's a great outdoorsy scent. I'll probably use it for daily wear over the spring/summer.

I am unable to comment on how it smells because I haven’t worn it in six months. But I will tell you the performance, at any price point, is outstanding. It is well under thirty bucks on Amazon. Get a bottle, you can’t afford not to.

This fragrance isn’t too bad nor is it too good. But for the price, I believe you get a good offer. It smells sort of like a rich old guy or a grandpa but i like it and it’s definitely something different to add to your collection.

Very soft, sweet and musky scent, especially when used in the day. Last 3-4 hours with only 4 sprays. Bought it for $19 on Amazon. After a while of it being on me I could really start to smell the wood and metallic notes to it.

Got it for $3 for 100ml like 10 days after Christmas. This cologne is pretty good. It has a fresh barbershop vibe with cedarwood. I wear this one for work, but it could be rather versatile. 7/10

It is a fresh, clean fragrance that isn't offensive and definitely office safe.

This smells exactly like the title. The notes of cedar and cypress are very surface level, meaning there is no change in the scent on the dry down. It's a fresh and clean scent, smells exactly like a body wash was bottled into a cologne. That being said, this sucker projects like crazy. I'm not kidding, you can easily overspray with this. The synthetic-body wash nature of this fragrance will make it easy to dislike if It's over-sprayed. I've found that the best use for this Fragrance is the gym. One or two sprays and you're going to smell nice at the gym without burning someone's eyes. In summation, I think Cremo's fragrances are pretty hit or miss. This one did not yield nearly the same level of compliments as Bourbon & Oak. If you're looking for a cheap scent to wear to the gym, then you've found it. Outside of that, I'm not sure of any other scenario that this would work.

After smelling the body wash I was prompted to purchased the cologne. I was a bit disappointed to learn that the cologne did not generate the same aroma/feeling as the bodywash which projected a blueish, clean and woodsy vibe. The cologne on the other hand, gave a warmer, woodsy and greenish vibe. The Cypress in this fragrance is not too overwhelming if one were to wear this at an outdoor or open air event/activity. The drydown for some reason reminds of Creed's Green Irirish Tweed. Inspite of my tiny disappointment, I must honestly say that this fragrance is truly a quality blend that can be appreciated by a more mature yet adventurous crowd.

I've unintentionally aged a bottle of this juice for 5 years, and I sniffed it recently. It's aged really well. I remember enjoying it years ago, and I used about 3/4 of the bottle. It's now much stronger and I may finish the bottle. It's such a simple fragrance. Nothing crazy, but blended well. Get it if you got 20 bucks and enjoy more natural fragrances compared to perfumes with many notes.

A fresh, clean barbershop scent. I enjoy the opening zest more than the cedar-heavy dry down. It's sort of one note, but that note is pleasant. Satisfying when you want something simple and refreshing. Not Cremo's best, but far from their worst. Probably the cheapest you can get a good barbershop scent as the bottle itself is cheaper than a haircut where I live.

Simple, but good. Light lemon zest peel with a very heavy woody base, lots of cypress. $20 is a fantastic price for this; perfect to wear at work in an office or whatever. This isn't a Creed or anything. Just good fine. Not much to say besides that.

Opening is a clean chemical lemon that reminds me of Light Blue. The greenness of it makes me think of Platinum Egoiste. It has a barbershop vibe like Drakkar Noir. Overall it smells like men’s cologne. .
