Cuba Jungle Zebra

I love this on my wife. We were and still are heavy Cuba gold wearers although we switch up our collection a bit more these days. I like how this smells neither too mature nor too young. It's light and fresh for a floral. It's a weekend go to for her. She has her work scents and at home scents and this one never goes to work. She loves florals that smell clean and aren't too sweet. It's definitely a floral and with such simple notes it is still something nice. At10$100ml it's hard to complain. I can smell these cuba perfumes for a whole day if shot on heavily. like 7 to 10 sprays. The Cuba line is never a bad buy and when it is you can donate it without being out much cash.

Kind of wanted to try one of this houses line. Chose Jungle Zebra based on it's notes. It begins, and stays with a pretty heavy Aquatic Water Lily bloom. The dry down continues and brings forth some spices and faint nutmeg/cardamom. The remains lasts for a few hours, and though the lily calms down, it remains the dominant scent, though it does balance a bit with a spicy overtone. This is a pretty inexpensive fragrance and nothing revolutionary. However it is pleasant enough if you are fond of Lily and Spices and certainly worth the price-point. There was no bad chemical smell or problem as one might expect from a bargain scent so that was a big relief. Not sure if I found any of the other in the line tapping my curiosity, but this one isn't bad at all. I may look through their catalog again and see if anything else seems worth a try, now that I know this house, though a bargain house, isn't cheap or chemical smelling.

I bought this blindly, but I was pretty confident about it due to the fact that I have several Cuba fragrances that I enjoy. This was a success as I happily learned upon spraying it on. It is a super fresh, clean, slightly sweet, floral. Perfect with any outfit and just about any occasion. My skin eats fragrances, so I only get a couple of hours out of it, but it is so inexpensive, I don't mind bringing it with me to reapply throughout the day. I think this would be safe for work. This would be a great option for someone just starting a perfume collection. All in all, a lovely and versatile fragrance. Love it!

A very potent soapy floral. This one will keep you fresh as if you were straight out of the shower - it is clean, feminine and most certainly strong on the florals - there's lots of orchid and jasmine for me here. This is what an expensive bar soap would smell like too, and I think it would pair greatly for layering with any Dove products in their original scent. Just overall clean and pretty!

Just, an FYI, the notes presented here are WRONG! Here's the correct notes from the FragLuxe website: Top: Orchid Middle: Violet, Rose Base: Blackberry, Musk If perfume layering is your thing, I suggest the following: VS Soft & Dreamy (clean, fresh, fruity floral - daytime) or B&BW Dark Kiss (sweet, oriental, fruity floral - nighttime).

It's a J'adore type of fragrance, but spicer. For the price point it's really good. The longevity it's pretty good

Much like J'adore! It has pear, melon, nectarine notes that appear in the heart- nice for the price!

Smells Amazing 🤩 Sharp and powerful

THE DESCRIPTION IS ALL WRONG! As per the Fragluxe website this is the notes: Description This beautiful blend of floral orchids, violets, roses and blackberry musk creates a sensual aroma that will bring excitement to your everyday activities. In my experience the perfume that I have is Orchid Heavy. And I am not a big fan of Orchid in my fragrances. So it's no surprise that I wasn't getting any of the "spices" referenced on THIS site. It is well made even though it's not my cup of tea.

I was dying to try this, then read malegria's review and decided it was not, what I was searching for. Then I saw this in a package with 3 other jungle-fragrances (fragrantica missed several other "cubas") for a bargain and just couldn't resist. Instead of armaotic-spicy it should be placed in a category like "spicy-flowery". It reminds me of the on-take of Mandarina Duck's Rouge Intense' - fresh but intense peppered and spiced up watery flowers, overdone until the end of the middle. It's not bad, but I wanted fresh and aromatic and not disconcerting flowers. The drydown is likable though: the spices are sweetened and deepened by maybe amber, and the spicy lily has quieted down. The problem here is, that the sillage is comparable with the staying power of cheap shower-gel-scents, and as such is the projection. longvity from top to down: 30min. Maybe I use it for the gym - no endangerment of suffocating other members...

Please don't ask me what I was thinking when I purchased this. I must of had money to burn. It's a very spicy mix that the cardamom completely dominates. No nutmeg presents itself on me. Think a tropical heat where a waterfall meets a rainforest floor and you've got the scent. It's masculine. Bottle is masculine. Longevity is good as I tried in vain to rid myself of it!

Very watered down scent that just makes me sneeze a lot. Seems a touch green to me but mostly just get the watery faint flowery, I dont pick up any spice at all.. Sorry not for me

Thought I would like this but I didn't. To watery no staying power no stillage. would not recommend it to my friends

Beautiful cheapie. The current reviews are so contradictory - but, alas, Cuba Zebra is a discreetly sweet and shower-freshie. There's really no spices although there is a green twang that is fresh spicy. The spice is fuzzy rather than sharp. Zebra does smell like those fresh, slightly-soapy florals from the 90s/2000s before the explosion of fruity-florals. Yes, Zebra does smell like a budget J'Adore. Cuba Zebra is so relaxing and comforting. It reminds me of the women in my family when I was growing up... when they finished showering, their hair always smelled like this (Cuba Zebra). Cannot say that I enjoy this scent :-( This was a blind buy based on the notes listed here on Fragrantica and elsewhere. Some reviewers compare it to J'adore, which I do like. I thought I might be able to get away with possibly layering it with something to soften it? I'm a long-time Opium gal so I'm not afraid of a bold spicy Oriental, but this just did not work for me :-( It's been over two hours and I'm still getting very strong aquatic, greens, and almost no spicy notes. I'm hoping that it might surprise me further into the drydown. Seriously, why is it that fragrances that hit the "no" pile have such great projection and sillage? ;-)

I agree Malegria. Cuba Jungle 'Zebra' absolutely reminds me of Kenzo's Perfume D'Ete. Wow - that's a blast from my past. Zebra is a brisk/spicy green floral. Think lighter of the tobacco essences and then mix that with lily-of-the valley (muget), some leafy greens, cyclamen, and amber - which gives the powdery dry down and it almost works. I hate scents that have powder dry down of any kind, but this works for the amazing price point. Would be a great stocking stuffer.

I was expecting something like chai tea notes mixed with the clarity of the nymphea lily, but this one is actually a pretty agressive spicy floral. I think I feel green tea in here...It strongly reminds me of another scent that is more famous and expensive but I can`t put a finger on it yet...Not my cup of tea, but not bad at all! PS Okay, I think I can link Zebra to Kenzo Perfume D`Ete. It calms down after a while!

I bought this as a blind buy and really for the bottle and the price wasn't bad either at first I wasn't too keen on it but after sitting for awhile it turned into a like. This is something to put on when you want to wear something light it does remind me of J'adore just a cheaper version and I will repurchase
