Cuba Prestige Black

Very beautiful creations! I have a little "Cool Water" impression ..... But it may be the Swiss Army is striking similarities ... (I do not know!) However, so get your money: - High Longevity - Super Sillage - Fresh mood - Quality scent Even the glass is uniqueness! I think in difficult times, tight wallet great reception and pleasant disappointment! If this line continue, "Cuba" will be very good for the directions !!!

Wow this is great for it's low price,I smell lavender,mint,jasmine and a little bit of a woody base,smells a little like armani code,anyways my sister actually told me that this perfume smelled wonderful,it reminded her of when she was in italy!

Cuba Paris Cuba Prestige Black is a weird mix of fragrances. To my nose it is in the same realm as say a Davidoff Cool Water or Coty Aspen for Men but without the aquatic and super green notes (minus mint) with a spicy side to it. If those two were tacos, this would be with a spicier taco seasoning used from a dirty taco truck, rather than those two clean classics. Due to the spice I notice some similarities to another Coty fragrance that I believe came after the release of this. That being Coty Stetson Caliber. Is that a direct smell like, no. BUT they are both spicy woody scents. Cuba Prestige Black is pepper heavy in its open with some mint to it. The mid is floral but continues the spice with corriander which makes it smell similar to Rocawear 9IX (minus the citrus). The base is dominated by musk and a tobacco like scent that maybe oakmoss. Prestige Black lasts about five hours on my skin with moderate sillage for about 30 minutes before going down to soft for about an hour and a half. The rest of the time is spent as a skin scent. I find Cuba Prestige Black a nice replacement to Coty Aspen/Cool Water but it is not as good as Coty Stetson Caliber. For this reason I rate it a 7.3. It’s better than Coty Aspen is especially at its retail price. It's also far from the worst Cuba fragrance I've bought (Cuba Prestige Legacy, I'm looking at you) but it's not a Cuba Prestige or Cuba Royal which I LOVE.

Another solid clone from the Cuba house and my 2nd favorite from the Cuba house with my favorite being Cuba Gold. So describe this scent I'd say this is a fresh out of the shower scent that's fresh,green,dryer sheet type of scent that in the dry down gets slightly spicy and mossy. This stuff is very pleasant and I can see this getting compliments and it's also very inoffensive. Now onto to other scent this smells like. Yes, this is a clone of Swiss Army but to be honest this smells more like Swiss Army Sport. However, in the drydown this also slightly resembles Rocawear 9IX. Performance on this actually pretty good as it lasts 6-8 hours and has moderate projection without being overpowering which would make this a perfect work fragrance. Now to answer the question of "Is this a good replacement of Swiss Army?" I would definitely say YES as this is half the price,has decent performance and the smell is very close. I personally slightly prefer the smell of the original Swiss Army but for half the price I'm going to stick with this. Also the original Swiss Army can become cloying in crowded or hot environments whereas Prestige black works in any environment making it more versatile. Overall rating--- 7 out of 10 ! Great scent for a steal of a price !!!

I don't think this fragrance would appeal to everyone, but I quite like it for its unusualness. It's very "soapy" with an aldehyde-lavender-olive flower combo in the heart- very dry in feel, with dry spices (agree with the black pepper and coriander seeds) and I smell basil- not mint- adding a lovely green quality along with bay laurel. It's unlike anything I've ever smelt except maybe Boss Spirit- though it does resemble GIT on the drydown (and CW and Aspen), but lacks the watery/ozonic note (to clarify: Prestige Black is definitely *not* an aquatic). The lower heart exposes geranium/rose and juniper. The base is mostly white musk, with orris, coumarin and something resembling oakmoss, making this a neo-aromatic-fougere. I'm wearing this on a cool, spring day where I feel it fits the season perfectly; I would also wear it on a similarly crisp, autumn day. It's a bit too "clean" for me to consider it an evening fragrance.

My first thoughts: (outdated thoughts. See final notes) it’s ok, but best suited for pre/post workout. Reminds me of Irish spring soap. Quite soapy smelling. May be best to spray as an underarm deodorant. A bit disappointed. Definitely not a good blind buy at all. I’ll still use it though. Final notes: actually after trying it for a while, it is a good cologne. Maybe you have to get used to it like I did. I do get compliments. So maybe it’s not as bad as I thought. Still it does smell like Irish spring which may be a turn off to some. Would I buy it again? I really don’t know to be honest.

Not a big fan of this one, got it for 7$, daily wear. Does its job. Projects for like 2 hours max. You can spray it through out the day. 100 ml for 7 bucks, nothing wrong in it. Its very safe, people will like it. I would give it 6.5/10. But look at the cost. definitely something you can try, its not going to get you alot of compliments. Better than wearing nothing. Definitely a summer/beach wear.

Fresh dryer sheets, ala "Laundromat" type clean , semi musty dry-down scent...for $10 or so it's nice & casual use worthy. I like to use it when working around my home inside/outside. I could see it as a work safe scent, while leaving the costly frags for dates with Wifey or going out.

It's nice, but if you have 2, 3 or more freshies in your collection, this one will be generic and you will probably not use it much, but if you gift it to someone with few or no perfumes, I bet they'll like it It's very good for it's price, don't hesitate to over spray

I have it, and I like it okay... I'll just never wear it. It's more like "Prestige Black Ice." As in the car air freshener I had in High School. In fact, I spray this on my dead 'Black Ice' fresheners to refresh them. Thank God I only paid $5 for this.

Cuba Prestige Black reminds me heavily of Davidoff Cook Water, but with a more barbershop type twang. If you sprayed a can of Barbasol into a perfume and added some musk and masculinity this would be it. It is not a bad scent, but for my ripe age of 22 it is a little old school for me. It was so cheap at $12 or so at Ross, so I can't complain. This is a youthful scent but it would've worked back in the 70s. A fun little frag to buy if you need something for the summer and have a super low budget. Smell - 5/10 Performance - 6/10 Price - 9.5/10 Overall - 6/10

With Cuba Paris, the perennial question is: what did they clone with this one? I can't submit my 'reminds me of...' because it is not in the database. That would be Purex laundry detergent. Seriously. Purex was my go-to a few years back when they had red caps on the blue bottles and Prestige Black smells just like how I remember it. It's quite weak for an EdT and overall I deem it merely a neutral value proposition even considering 90 ml goes for just $8.99 at Ross.

I have had this one for quite a while. I found it for under $10 at Ross-Dregs For Less. What I smell: lavender, parsley, white pepper, and plastic clothes hangers. What she smells: jasmine, moss, and the animalic musk of my court ordered ankle monitor. Her extemporaneous remarks: "That's a spray bottle? I thought it was a tampon case". Fragrances this fragrance would wear if it weren't a fragrance: Havana by Aramis, Fenómeno by Blas Roca, Intern by ExPOTUS. Conclusion: If you're a "Ross Hoss", and I know you are, you're gonna want this beauty in your collection! Would I buy it again?.....Yes.....Yes I would..... I could never get tired of shopping while high.

I do not like this much at all. There’s a weird synthetic smell to it. Very fresh and clean, but I guarantee there’s far better freshies for the same price or +$5 more. I wouldn’t buy this again at all

Where are you guys finding the larger bottles of the Prestige line for $7. I can't find anything online that cheap and if you say Ross do you mean Ross Dress for less? I purchased this in a gift set from eBay for $11.99. It contains Prestige, Prestige Platinum, Prestige Black and Prestige Legacy all in 1.17 oz slim cigar bottles. These bottles in the gift set are exactly the same as the larger regular Cuba bottles without the ridiculous setup that the Prestige line has for their larger bottles which is a good thing as it has a simple cap. This will be a dual review for Black and Legacy as Legacy is not in the database and I don't have too much too say about Black. Black is very pepper heavy as others have said. A bit too much so for my liking as I don't feel like it is complex enough in the other notes to balance the pepper. I do not own Swiss Army or anything similar to it. It is definitely not a bad fragrance but I can't imagine using it more than occasionally in cool Springs/early Fall. It is my least favorite of the set but I would not hesitant to buy the set again just not the black in a large bottle. I have heard Legacy is similar to 1 Million Intense. I do not own Intense but do own Cuba Royal and the original 1 million (which smell very similar to each other). Legacy reminds me of each but has distinct differences. There is a vanilla feel to it but it is toned down from Royal and 1Mill. There is another additional note that I can't place that also makes it very distinct from Royal but overall it is a very good fragrance and the longevity of Legacy far exceeded Black for me. Longevity wise Classic is best, then Prestige, Legacy, and finally Black. I can't smell black at all after 4 hours even on cloth while I can smell Prestige on cloth even after 24 hours and Legacy for nearly as long. I wouldn't even dare spraying Classic on clothes it might last through the apocalypse. Back to black though, it is a well made scent and definitely worth the money if you enjoy a light pepper scent just not for my liking more than occasionally.

Hi. I bought this frag due to a very much positive experience in relation to Cuba Gold and Cuba Royal which I have owned previously. Cube Prestige Black is not a powerhouse type of fragrance. Rather fresh, green, yet woody dry smell. Levander is somewhere there also, but it is not as prominent as in other Cuba Frags. Having owned Davidoff Cool Water (borrowed occasionally from my dad), I'd say its a less refined, a bit old school version of it, yet these two are very much comparable. It would be hard to imagine a teenager wearing it. It's more of "dad" type fragrance, however I think some 20+ year old people can get away wearing it. Potency is rather weak, so is silage. Few hours (2-5) is all you are likely to get. It does not radiate far from skin either. In general I like it and could reccomend it to almost every man in their 20s 30s and up. It is not unique, however there is something comforting about this smell. Despite all it's flaws, cheap ingredients and lack of potency it is still a good substitute for some expensive stuff. It does not smell expensive, but it is a smell that punches well above its price (5-10eur). I got it for 5eur on sale, and I doubt one can find anything worth commenting on in that price range. Try it.

I happened to be at a discounter and saw this for 8 bucks. Figured id roll the dice on one of the most obnoxiously designed bottles ive ever seen. I was actually surprised when i smelled it in the car. That was after about twenty pumps and one of the most pathetic dribbles from the atomizer. But it was kind of a woodsy,aromatic, powdery smell. Pretty nice for 8 bucks. Id choose this over the other blind buy i bought for almost 3 times the amount (hugo just different)... But this would be ok for someone on an extreme budget.. Or someone that just wants to scratch the "blind buy roll of the dice" itch.. Its nothing great but its not bad. Probably will just be used as a chorin around the house scent.

This fragrance really is underrated as a soapy clean out of the shower fragrance. It’s very linear. Irish spring soap but excellent at what it is. The projection on this is stronger than its rated on here. I always get comments when I wear it. It’s definitely worth the 10$ I paid for it. For that price you could spray your car or gym bag with it. It’s probably one of my favorite straight up soap fragrances.

Cheap in a bad way! I do not recommend any of the Cuba for what I have tried so far. Performance is a joke. Just an opening with strong alcohol smell and it is gone in very few minutes. Do yourself a favor: Spend a bit more in a better quality fragrance. *I speak with facts. I have tried all the Cuba where I am posting this comment*
