Diaphanous

A new daily favourite for me. I first bought the intriguing Cellar Feels from Curionoir, but was after something more wearable for everyday, and bought this. It's a perfect white floral, bright and sweet but vastly complex. Its ambery and slightly powdery elements are quite vintage, but in a sexy way, like finding old photos of your grandmother as a beautiful young woman. After a day's wear it's a sweet warm ambery ember on the wrist. The mandarin comes through sparklingly at the top, and even though it's not an official note I get a slight pear element, like a waxy pear soap you'd find unused on a dressing table. The white florals are perfect, especially the narcissus, which reminds me of night-time walks through suburbia when the spring bulbs in every garden are pumping out their scent. And the jasmine has none of that plasticky tinge I find can be common in cheaper fragrances. This overall reminds me a bit of Carolina Herrera's Good Girl because of the pepper-floral combination, but I find this to be cleaner and more subtle overall. It develops well on the skin and lasts a long time but in an intimate way, clinging close to skin. With all Curionoir fragrances, I think you need to try them on to properly decide on them, but this is inoffensive without being boring and I'd say that most people would enjoy this. I certainly do.

This is such a lovely and unique floral. I’ve never smelled anything quite like it, it’s such a beautifully bright scent. They don’t smell the same but it has a similar vibe to Delina for me--unabashedly and playfully feminine. Diaphanous is very sweet and honeyed yet somehow not overpoweringly so. Niche yet a crowd pleaser. I love it for spring days especially!
