Death's Elixir

I was pleasantly surprised by this - it's pretty good and great value. It's a similar style (leather/raspberry) to TF Tuscan Leather without being a straight dupe IMO. I enjoyed the fragrance - yes it's leather/raspberry but it's smooth and wearable - and it projected and lasted very well. I think Cuir Granat might have a slight edge in this style for me, but it's just personal preference, and Cuir Grenat costs three times as much so would need to be my signature or fave style to be worth buying a full bottle over Death's Elixir. Quick additional note: I get the goth branding and fragrance styles from Cursed but they're decent scents that you don't need to be a goth to appreciate. 🙂

Leather is always such a hit or miss in perfumes because it can become stale or really stand out. To me this is the latter, the leather is worn and wrinkled it’s hot and heavy, it’s rich scented and deep. But the most interesting part is the interaction with raspberry, that sweet tangy singe really makes the perfume stand out and stay interesting and fresh. It’s an incredibly good leather scent, if you wanted something pure pure leather I’d recommend Endymion Concentrate by Penhaligons but I think the sweet and spicy overtones make this perfume more dynamic.

Very surprised leather isn't noted in the main accords as it's the dominant smell here, I also wouldn't really consider this to have warm spicy notes either... It has a fruity (leaning on the red berries side of fruity) and leather smell that I do enjoy though. A nice masculine scent, but I do find most leather fragrances tend to be very subjective so it's worth getting a tester. Long lasting and good value, I've heard this is close to Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford but you'll be paying more for 30ml of that than 100ml of Deaths Elixir.

Opening: leather sweetened by a dark fruity aroma, reminiscent of the legendary Knize Ten by Coty and Roubert, but with the strawberry note replaced with raspberry. Mid-game: sweetness of saffron and amber comes through, patchouli is strong but not overpowering, and the vetiver adds depth. Dry-down: oakmoss and cardamom become more prominent as the patchouli settles. Overall: an opulent leather animated by clever use of fruity and spicy notes.

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of Cursed's fragrances are near-clones, or at least heavily inspired by iconic scents, with this one being akin to Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. That said, the qiality and potency of these offerings is not to be sniffed at - they are all really well done and this is no exception! This one leans heavily into the red-fruit opening and rounds out into a rich, soft leather. Great job!

I slept with this on and could still smell the leather note when I woke up. I wasn't sure what to think on first wear but now I have had it a while I really like this one. This and Ritual Spirit made the Devil collection of samples worth getting.

As others have said this is a softer version of tuscan leather by Tom Ford. Probably not blind buy safe but if you like leather fragrances (and dont have tuscan or ombre leather) then this is worth checking out.

In a sample set I got , I'd love to smell this on a man. Very sexy and quite dark . I knew it reminded me of one of the TF frags, must be Ombre Leather which has been noted by others.

I like this one as a male love to wear it to goth concerts. The rest of cursed, nah.

Very leather-heavy. Lattafa's Velvet Oud smells 90% identical to this so if you wanna save yourself £60, get that instead. There's a little more intricacy to this one due to the raspberry which gives it a sour, fruity edge, but it is very light and the average perfume wearer likely won't smell much of a difference. Personally I really had to hunt for the fruitiness as the leather just really overpowers the rest. Decent scent though, definitely masc leaning but can work on anyone who's feeling bold.

The whole shtick for cursed is fun, but all the fragrances I’ve tried have fallen flat for me. This is my favourite, but thats not saying much. Herbal and unisex, fairly pleasant, not very spooky.
