Chocolate+ Rose

All of the fragrances that I have tried from Jeffey Dame have been wonderful and intriguing. I have full bottles of several including Gardenia, Rugir de Gardenia, Lime Gardenia & Benzoin, Chilehead and now this Lucious Chocolate + Rose. It's a magnificent blend of both chocolate and rose with sometimes the chocolate being slightly more prominent and sometimes the rose; I can't decide which, if either, is more dominant as it is so well balanced. I never would have imagined enjoying a chocolate 'flavored' perfume as I generally don't like gourmand/food flavors in perfume, but this is not 'foody'. It's not too sweet, not cloying, not anything but a splendid scent that can be worn anytime in any season in my opinion. Similarly, it is suitable for any gender. Next I must mention the personal customer service that is provided. I've always received answers to any question I might have about a product and have been beyond pleased with the samples (next FB for me will probably be Vanilla Farfelue because of a sample). The only time there was any issue was with a sprayer not functioning perfectly, Jeffrey quickly mailed a new bottle to replace it although I had only asked for advice on how to tinker with/adjust the existing sprayer. How often do you receive that kind of customer service today? (Support small businesses) Again, try anything from this house and you will not regret it. Try the chocolate + rose and you will feel like you are in a rose garden with some Belgian chocolate ;-) YUM Oh, I almost forgot, my husband who generally either doesn't notice a fragrance or simply can't smell it loves this one.

So, update. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Cocoa dusted rose. At first, all I smelled was the rose and if I hadn't have bought a very good quality Rose Absolute Oil from Bulgaria last year, I'd have been very confused. I say that bc Rose absolute or the concrete smells of the whole rose at first, stems and all to my nose. It takes about 30 min or so before it becomes the rose most of us know. Same here for the first few days of having it. The dry down is heaven, just a gorgeous dark cocoa dusted rose, by dusted I don't mean powdery, just that you get the chocolate in gentle a waft of scent. It has a good longevity for an EdT and sillage is about 2 feet. I have a feeling that just like Mexican Vanilla, this one will be amazing in a few months. But l'm enjoying it now.

ceeceelee I do hope you love my new Chocolate+ Rose as much as I do, and yes I know exactly what you are talking about with the balance. I spent months going back and forth between development formulas trying to decide if the new chocolate and rose perfume would be a 50/50 split, or if it would be chocolate dominant with a touch of rose, or if it should be predominantly rose with a touch of chocolate. After weeks of wearing the variations myself decided Chocolate+ Rose should be predominantly "rosy" with the chocolate gently in the background. Nothing else is mixed in, the formula is simply chocolate and a pure rose de mai note. This final mix is indeed special. And thank you for your order, greatly appreciated. Jeffrey Dame

This is a yummy hot chocolate w/ Dried rose petals and a shot a blackberry cognac and a dash of cinnamon. A great gourmand offering from Jeffery Dame. My husband flipped for this. Going on my want shelf. Fun, cozy, yummy. Perfect date night fragrance for a casual date, like staying in and watching the snow fall while cuddling on the couch watching a sappy Halmark movie drinking hot chocolate. Or a nice gathering w/ friends at a fall bonfire and of course you are all eating smores! My husband said it is delicious and he is right it is. If you love chocolate and roses check this simplistic yet fun little perfume out.

I've ordered a sample and can't wait to try. Dame perfumery has consistently been very good imho, can't wait. I haven't found a great chocolate rose combo, either the chocolate is way too much, you can't even smell it, or the rose and chocolate are over powered by blackcurrant (VC&A Rose Rouge). I love my Guerlain Gourmand Coquin but it hasn't aged enough to get the rose that I remember from a long time ago. Here's to hoping!
