Minty Man

The mint note manifests as natural mint leaf, an almost vegetal earthiness about it. It must be the mate that gives it this interesting quality. Soft green and floral notes are a whisper, nothing more. There is none of that synthetic cologney shower gel accord in this fragrance. In fact, Minty Man doesn’t really smell like a perfume at all. It’s the scent that would rise up to meet you from the leaves of aromatic plants warmed by the high summer sun. Everything blends together without a care, natural as can be. A delicate tapestry of freshness. That being said, it is impossible to overspray this one- I find that 8-10 sprays bring out all of its facets. Well done Mr. Dame! This is a work of art.

Minty is my favorite After Eight chocolates bottled. It is a little on the gourmand side, but still remaining fresh and uplifting, and delicious! Minty is really unisex. Definately worth testing, if you are in search of an exceptional, high quality, long lasting minty scent. Love it!

You don't need to pay hundreds of dollars to buy niche quality, I'm a sucker for tea and mint and this perfume did not disappoint me at all, is fresh herbaceous, and bright, makes me happy, try it you won't regret it, full bottle worthy.

5 Words: Milk tea on the skin. This is a soft fragrance tea that you wanna smell on your skin. Soft enough to smell, you can smell clearly tea and mint in this. I want to lick my hand right now its so delicious for sure

Prettiest shade of mint, and I’ll die on that hill.

Opens with an overwhelming blast of mint: smells like I'm rubbing toothpaste with crushed mint leaves all over myself, a double dose of both artificial and natural mint. Anyway, once that settles down it's a cool and refreshing mint green tea scent with light accents. The spicy cardamom and bright bergamot just give the mint more added push, while the florals are barely detectable at all. I can maybe detect a hint of jasmine if I try, and the rose kinda waxes and wanes out of existence. Moderately strong projection for 3-4hr, longevity 8-10hr. Minty Man more like Mint Tea Man amirite??!?

Got as a sample with an order, the oil..I’m not big on mint but this ones nice, it’s very clean bright and refreshing. Really think the mate and citrus help balance out the mint; and the floral tones do come through deff. pick up the rose. Called minty man but this is easily unisex if you like mint.. think Jeffrey should deff start to market more of his scents as unisex..he has a very niche quality to his creations only much more reasonable. Great one Mr. Dame!

Tested from a free sample provided with purchase. This is an uplifting, unisex scent. The mint is fresh and green, does not come off as peppermint. I sensed no rose or violet, and just a hint of citrus. The cardamom/mate drydown was pleasant and lasted until the next morning. Full bottle worthy!

Another blind purchase from the lovely and talented Mr Dame. Again, I have to disagree with the previous posts and the notes listed. I thought as another reviewer wrote, that this was a linear straight forward mint scent. Not at all. The opening to me is harsh and unpleasant, something at first I thought gasoline but it’s actually turpentine, paint thinner, an oil painters studio. I don’t really get mint but the harsh turpentine funes; when applied on clothing this turpentine note does not subside. On skin however the scent drastically morphs; astounding change like a caterpillar into a butterfly. The dry down on my skin is the strangest scent. Rather than a minty herbaceous scent, I get a more fruity bouquet. The smell seemed familiar and I think I finally found the closest cognate: old Zoologist Bat aka Nightflyer. This is Bat without the petrichor note and the banana; here the fruits are red and purple, and instead of the petrichor note there is a camphourous top that hints at mint (peppermint) but still not as minty as others claim. While unexpected this is quite lovely on skin. I don’t use deodorant, use fragrance and oils instead and this one mixed quite well with my skin scent and didn’t have a nasty chemical smell even after a whole day. Wish it were not the case with clothes but I usually apply scents in my birthday suit so not as bad as it can be. Rather than Minty Man, I’m getting more Batman lol. Looking to rock this baby this spring and summer; will update after various wears but for now a pleasant tho unexpected surprise. Eventually want to try Dame’s entire collection; support independent perfumers!

Testing my sample of Minty Man by Dame perfumery and it is a beautiful scent. I get a bright green mint opening that carries through the mid where a fresh rose that reminds me of the rose in Declaration d’un Soir comes in to the dry down where cardamom and mate join in. If you love mint I highly recommend sampling this one. It will definitely be my next full bottle from Dame. Btw don’t let the name fool ya this is very unisex.

This one is a direct, straighforward and unapologetic mint fragrance. You want mint, you get mint. No fussing around or having something else covering up the mint or being afraid to smell truly minty which I find really rare, for some reason people just seems too afraid to "go there" with mint in fragrances. Refreshing and longlasting too.

I'm excited that Fragrantica now has this perfume in its catalogue. I've seen it on Dame's website and I think it looks unisex, judging by the notes. Next time I make an order, I'll snap up a 5 ml from him to try it out. I hope the mate and cardamom are prominent!

Recently got a sample and this is a winner...like a perfect citrus mint cocktail for summer. Reminds me of Herba Fresca in some ways. Persistent throughout the day and entirely unisex as others have said. FB worthy, friends.
