Soliflore Lily Of The Valley

Lily of the Valley is my favorite childhood flower and Jeffrey Dame has captured the scent so beautifully.

This is a really interesting scent for a soliflore. There’s this almost dirt-like undercurrent of indole that makes it smell much more like a lily of the valley flower than a lily of the valley perfume. It’s super fun to experience but I don’t see anyone wearing this regularly.

Staight-up, natural smelling, slightly indolic lily of the valley. Quite "flowery" and feminine as may be expected. Would be good for layering in small doses.

this is a fairly authentic soliflore. it's a slightly soapy lily of the valley with a bit of greenery. it reminds me of a scent my maternal grandmother wore. <3

Update 12/16/22 The edt is disappointing, anemic, plastic smelling lemony water with faint floral. Very underwhelming! 1st I have not smelled a real LOV since, well I can't remember. But this is a very nice fresh soapy green floral with a barely touch of sweetness and tartness that comes together beautifully with all the other florals(not listed) that make this a balanced LOV soliflore. I just wish this came in a 50-ml EDT instead of 100-ml. That's too much of a commitment for a scent that is very nice, agreeable, but not something I would want very often. I also just hate those huge 100-ml bottles :P I wish Mr Dame would change his mind, as I have suggested a 50-ml bottle (which I have read here, they had before). I would pay the same price for a 50-ml bottle in place of the 100-ml bottle! This is a warm humid morning and it will be a very warn humid day. This is lovely for a warm humid morning. I would wear it again. 7.5/10

What a fresh, green Lily of the Valley! Most muguet scents bolster the flower with other white florals or citrus, masking the very green scent that comes from the freshly-cut stem of the plant, but as a soliflore, this fragrance includes it all - and the opening is almost photorealistic. The scent takes me back to my childhood and the beds of Lily of the Valley my grandmother grew beside her house because it was her favourite flower and her name was Lillian. She used to send us grandchildren out to pick sprigs of the tiny, bell-like blossoms for the breakfast table. For me, this flower will always be the scent of lace doilies and china teacups... If I were to make one criticism, it's that the scent is perhaps a little too sweet (I've encountered this with a few of the Dame Soliflores, though of course tolerance for sweetness is very subjective) and drifts away from its photorealistic opening as it dries down. After the first 30-40 minutes, it ends up smelling a little less like a perfume and more like a functional fragrance (one of the pitfalls of soliflores, perhaps?), but it's still a very pretty scent and I'm grateful to Dame Perfumery for the sweet trip down memory lane!

The sweet, pure smell of undiluted fairy bells! According to lore, the strong smell of Lily-of-the-valley lures the nightingale to find his mate! This perfume would too! Its natural, realistic smell recreates the aroma of the blossoms we call Our Lady's Tears! So fresh if you close your eyes, the real thing comes to mind. Great sillage and longevity. This is a beautiful soliflore perfume.
