Golden Vetiver

Very interesting review of vetiver from D. Josier. Opens with notes of citrus with a very juicy grapefruit and bitter orange, note that has a very long life and blends well with other notes like pink pepper, patchouli and geranium and of course, vetiver. There isn't a too dark vetiver, kind Encre Noire, neither something very cool.It's very close to Terre de Hermes, but not have the notes that give it as mineral aspect and are not entirely to my liking in the Hermes fragrance. Personally I prefer that of Josier since I see something more cheerful and livable. Maybe the right word is "versatile". Longevity is good (over 8 hours) and perhaps as failure, you can be attributed to the sillage, despite being perceptible and elegant, is a little shy, but maybe, if we make stronger this fragrance, you may lose some of its undeniable elegance. Another very good from this perfumer, which is nothing new. Highly recommended !!!

Ok finnally got my nose on this, you can get them at Perfume Outlet, I just so happen to have 2 in Las Vegas so lucky lucky me! I had the whole store smelling this line, it just came in, they all thought it was women only. I laughed and said, come over here and bring your nose. I even had other public shoppers on the sniff train. Odly they didn't have green leather ( wearable tuscan leather, thats actually uplifting.) and ambre tabac (best in class tabaco/apple pie.) Oh anyways This is a possible best in class vetiver/mens scent. I walked with a 5ml decant but know I'll be getting a full bottle. 1 or 2 sprays and your good for... about 20 hours. This is the most high end vetiver, citrus, cedar combo I have ever smelt. Between this and French Lover, though different they are both perfect 11/10's This one does have better performance even though french lover isn't lacking, just not nukeuler like this baby. It's invigorating, grounded, regal, peculiar and perfect. It also smells wet, something Daniel Josier is a master at. I can't stand dry frags like most of Tom Fords, you can smell the richness and pure love and talent he puts into these. Im just blown away again. Made it in my top ten now! I can't wait for the next masterpiece!

I love daniel josier fragrances, that being said, this isn’t comparable to his other scents in both value and performance. Don’t get me wrong it’s a lovely scent. Citrus opening for just a few minutes, then we get the hint of pepper and a blast of geranium, all the while the vetiver shining through the base. The vetiver isn’t dark and resinous, it’s a light vetiver, vetivryl acetate? Unlike other josier fragrances, this one is very subtle, so it makes it easy classy dumb reach material. More for a mature demographic, the vetiver and geranium might be challenging for younger crowds. Now I will say this, this perfumes better than other perfumes for the same or higher price tag, But what I’ve come to expect from this particular house Is robust, long lasting scents for a great price. At 360 a bottle not worth it. Remove the gold flakes and bring it down to 180 and you have a deal.
