Aromatic Greens

Aromatic Greens belongs to the Eau De Parfum Collection, initially composed of three pieces, including Infinite Aqua and Refined Woods, to which Amber Breeze has been added. I had the opportunity to test them as soon as they were launched. I was pleasantly surprised by the leap in the quality of the fragrances, which were less ordinary and more refined than in previous collections. The initial price was in the medium-low range of €30. I was waiting for a favourable opportunity to buy them all. And here, Notino offers free shipping and all three perfumes at around €20, so I jumped at the chance. It surprises me that the rating is somewhat unfavourable on this and other sites. I understand that not everyone likes perfume, but I find inappropriate negative comments that use derogatory or even offensive adjectives or say that the perfume smells terrible because it doesn't suit their taste. Aromatic Greens cologne is a woody green essence that announces with an imprinted bitterness. Courtesy of sour lemon, neither sweet nor acid, which reminds me of unripe green rind. The bitter lemon fuses with a balmy mint, a smooth mentha citrata whose leaves are very delicate with a pleasant lemon scent; poor on menthol flavour with an intense fruity-fresh aroma. Perhaps lemon is not the only citrus in the essence as I seem to feel an unmistakable yuzu, not mentioned, which might be an illusion of the lemon-absinthe mix. But what makes appealing this green kickoff more is a touch of aromatic absinthe, with its unique warm, sharp, dry-woody and herbaceous tones. Underneath, the dry pencil shavings' redolence is lingering and kicking from the bottom layer. Slowly, the freshness turns into a polished heart of powdery elements. Both iris root and violet leaf engage in this middle stage and create a dusty nuance that is never akin to baby powder or talcum. Hidden in the core, I catch a crisp fruitiness mixed with greenness. I can feel the sour & sweet tinge of the green apple. I am not talking about sugary apples on par with Boss Bottled EAU DE TOILETTE. However, it’s a detectable and agreeable apple. Finally, a loamy blend of woods and leaves creeps in to set the finale. The cedar that showed itself early in the opening joins a modern and clean patchouli, without dark edges, more woody and musky than earthy. A slight hint of coumarin blends and adds warm amber tones. The cologne remains in the green and woody territory without gourmand traces. This perfume is suitable for the office, harmless, and light, this perfume is perfect for leisure time and sport. It gives me a sense of peace of mind and drives away my evil thoughts. Seasonally, both autumn and spring are the best times, due to the greenery which is never too cool or too hot. The performance is just below average, it lasts several hours even if it settles quickly like a perfume on the skin. Compared to #infinite it seems to be more performing. I'm basing my reflections on a bottle I've owned since June 2023 (BC 2348).

My wife bought me this for Father's Day, I had no experience with David Beckham fragrances before and she was touting them as great value fragrances. I really liked the smell when testing it at the Pharmacy, and it was an EDP, can't go wrong. Well as I still really like the fragrance, it is pretty weak in regards to longevity sadly and I would expect this to be an EDT. This is unfortunate because I wanted to smell it myself, but I barely could smell it after about 3 hours and then it was a very light scent on my skin at that point. My wife said it had a nice light presence, that is in no way overpowering, even at an intimate closeness. She really likes it, and she prefers it when I wear lighter fragrances that don't give her a headache (Like Lomani Pour Homme). It's definitely a scent more suited for warmer weather, but I would wear this at night as well as in the more appropriate daytime. I actually like wearing fresh scents at night sometimes, and even though it's not a very good projector, it suits me fine for my wife and me. I would also say that I wouldn't pay the retail price for it, which is about $50AU, and wait for a sale. I will update this if my opinion changes, but on initial wearing, I'll give it a 6.5/10, mostly taking a hit because its longevity is so poor for an EDP, if it had 2 more hours of good sillage I would give it a 7.5 UPDATE 28 SEP 23 Alright, so now I've worn this frag 3 times, and my initial projection report was poor, and it still isn't good. I did use about 15 sprays total on my skin and clothes, so the fact that my wife was loving it, means it still doesn't work unless you pound that spray.She said though that it isn't at all overpowering with that many sprays so who gives a shit.. LOL It still doesn't last that long though. The projection never really pushes farther than about arm's length coming off of my skin at least. That lasts for about 2-2.5 hours. Then it's intimate for another 3-3.5 hours, and finally a faint skin scent after that for an hour. This is a completely acceptable performance I suppose, and I'm glad it was on sale for $30AU when she bought it. It is still a very nice scent IMO, and as I've said, my wife likes it. So I would recommend it, if you like a calmer fresh scent, and you can find it on sale then pick it up. Who knows maybe your skin will work better with it.

Bought this because of the Escada Sentiment comparison. Disappointed because it doesn't really do that. Sentiment has a very fizzy, juniper note, this has none. Even though this has mint and absinthe. On its own, this is a pleasant green scent, very weak juice, though. A very weak Hugo, but that is a stretch. A few minutes and it just disappears. I don't know if I'm going nose blind or what. I will try to macerate this to see if it improves. Long lasting Eau de parfum on the box, where did they get that? 😄 I really like the presentation. It's very simplistic and minimal. Don't buy this on full retail.

Tbh I can’t smell anything it starts with an alcoholic smell that stays for 2 minutes then the whole perfume just vanishes. Edit: this perfume turned amazing after my second use, it’s smooth fresh and reminds me of chamomile tea. Would a hundred percent recommend it.

It's an EDP but it just doesn't last long. It's one of my favorites but I feel like I really need to spray a lot for it to have any effect, even then it doesn't last long.
