Beyond

Just got this in today, so I'm gonna give y'all my first impressions: Right off the bat, I'm already loving this. This has a very prominent mojito note, which is giving it kind of a fresh, sweet, sparkling drink feel. It smells exactly like a mojito in a bar at a restaurant. This is followed by some spice with the cardamom, and citrus coming from the grapefruit. The middle notes are black pepper, cedar, and geranium. Though the pepper is coming through more than the others. As it dries down, it starts to smell sweeter, this time with vanilla. My nose is picking up some leather, balancing out the vanilla from smelling too sweet. Longevity wise, stays on my skin for a long time. Thumbs up from me. Excellent fragrance for the price. (And somehow that mojito is still there.) And that's it for my first impressions.

I've read a couple reviews here and there saying that it's not all that great and that just because it's a designer frag, people love it. But I don't think that's true. One of my favourite fragrances was David Beckham Instinct Ice and this smells a lot like it. It's not very synthetic (which I greatly appreciate) and it's light and with a touch of sweet and citrus. It's obviously not a By Killian or a Creed, but it could easily keep up with a YSL or any decent designer frag of that caliber. I got it for $20 at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. Definitely worth more than $20. The dry down is very nice too. It doesn't project very much after a couple hours, but I don't mind.

However, it does not have the best longevity. otherwise good scent very fresh for its price its a safe blind buy.

this and instinct are by far the best from this house. the woody vanilla citrus in this is just so damn smooth its a stunner. performance is also excellent i get 8+ hrs easily. while you smell the cheap ingredients in most of beckhams stuff these two are a cut or 3 above incredible value

Beyond by David Beckham bears an ever soo slight resemblance to Dior Sauvage on initial sprays but then dissipates from that but it does smell similar IMO....its a keeper for me

This is a winner for Mr. Beckham. Most of his stuff is pretty safe, his scents smell nice and clean but they don’t spark excitement or any wild thoughts. This, however, is in a different league. To me it smells similar to Issey Miyake Intense, but more woody and not quite so spicy and zesty. The woody opening is dreamy and it lingers all the way through the dry down. The gunmetal grey gradient bottle is perfect for this, looking at the bottle and then smelling the scent, they actually match. It’s dark and manly, mysterious and alluring. Performance wise it’s no better than any of the others by Mr. Beckham, I feel the only Beckham scent with any semblance of strong performance is Instinct, this is what you’d expect for the price. For a cheap fragrance I think this does a good job. It’s not going to turn heads or change lives or anything, but it’s a departure from the safety that Beckham is known for.

EdT: It's unique but at the same time like a mix of different, classic mens perfumes. The leather note isn't my thing, as previous times, luckily it's not too prominent. The fragrance is very spicy in the beginning but gets more beautiful when it gets a bit weaker. Very masculine. I'd love this with aquatic or bergamott notes instead of leather. I recommend this to those who enjoy masculine fragrances with an intensive cardamom note. Edit (2/4-17): I really enjoy the deospray but as I mentioned before I'd like it more with aquatic and/or bergamott notes.

It smells more expensive than it is... If you’re fan of kinda woody spicy fragrances by sweet vibes absolutely for you... I got solid compliments with this juice ! I have fragrances hundred bucks more expensive than this but couldn’t get this big compliments for me!!! Pretty linear but in Drydown gets more woodier but still that delicious cardamom follows you than opening until last... awesome juice! Would be soooooo better if hadn’t that performance issues....

Intensive Mojito opening with grapefruit notes too. The pepper is the main middle note in my opinion and it's really in your face (I've figured this one without searching for the notes or having much experience with perfumes). The dry-down is not really persistent, this being the main problem with this perfume, but at this price-point I kinda expected the performance to be a bit lacking. Nice cheap perfume nonetheless.

For the price, its actually pretty good. Likable mojito note is central in this one and gets better as it dries down. Smells quite synthetic throughout but less so as it settles on skin. Yeah is uses cheaper ingredients and doesn't last long (for me 3-4 hours) but for $11 I'll take it.

Tested this and found it quite likable, the price is low and the smell itself is not half that bad, a little boring like all of beckhams fragrances, but it is a safe buy if you dont expect the whole world out of it. And it is still a close skinscent 12 hours later and that is not bad.

A pleasing low budget generic fragrance that is inoffensive for the office, or daily wear. Doesn't set the world on fire, but sometimes you just want to smell clean and nice, nothing more..

This a likable and cheap fragrance. Citrus and woody and.....generic. For the price, it's OK but nothing memorable. A mediocre fragrance, if there ever was one.

Smells good, decent projection of vanilla bomb. I cant tell about longevity though and I cant detect the mojito notes. Still, very underrated scent. 7/10

what a great dupe for Armani Diamonds Rocks!! well done

My initial reaction I found this very similar to Coach for men, the 2017 version as well as Jimmy Choo for men that it's often compared to but cheaper than both of them in terms of price so not a bad deal at all if you just want something cheap and very easy to wear. If you've never tried any of those fragrances it's like a really nice blue shower gel scent which is a lot better than most fragrance "experts" scoff at. Axe and similar sell millions of bottles of body wash a year for a reason. it's a dark blue style fragrance, there's some sweetness to this without it coming off as unisex. It's moderately spicy, cool, some citrus notes to make it more energetic and sports like of course aromatic elements to it without it being one of the many Dior Sauvage clones on the market. Anyone who says this smells like Salvatore Ferragamo F In Black you've REALLY got to use your imagination. This is much better in my opinion than F In Black. I'm using that as bathroom spray currently if that means anything to anyone this is easier to wear and better in my opinion. Of course which one is better this fragrance Beyond by David Beckham or Coach For Men. That is a tricky one to answer if you can get a tester bottle of Coach for men from a discounter for about 40$ get it! It's not the longest lasting fragrance you'll ever buy and you'll really have to over spray it to probably fill a room but the scent is a bit stronger as in intense not headache juice and a bit more fruit in it. However at a cologne shop for about 20$ for a bottle of this. Why not, especially if you can't ge those discounter prices. It's cheap enough to justify a ton of sprays and not feel bad.

A nice fresh, spicy, and sweet scent. Good versatility in terms of being wearable in any weather conditions and any time of day. Performance is lacking though, I get about 4 hours or so on my skin with close/intimate projection which is not surprising for a Beckham scent but because of that you can go crazy on the number of sprays with this one to make it last longer. Overall not a bad fragrance for only $13 AUD.

I am not much surprised by its performance, it smells similarly to some Jimmy Choo, Guerlian and Carolina Herrera perfumes. To me is a 'good to go' scent. I tried my luck with this one with 40ml and I can say it's versatile, eligible for all seasons during nightime. It's also cheap, so you can add something plus to your collection.

Pros are the price is pretty cheap and the smell certainly drew compliments.....Though you would require re spraying every 30 mins as it wears off pretty quick which is disappointing. Still, if you need to make an appearance and know you will only be there for less than an hour, this could be an alternative

This fragrance is for older people. Great for cold weather and it lasted pretty long. Smelt nice and only had to pay $10.

dosent last long on skin, sinthetic, for its price tho its not that bad

Quite a nice take on mint, rather than it being sweeter and heavier like in JPG Le Male it's a sharper and fresher mint (I guess the note is mojito rather than straight mint but I digress). I actually quite liked the smell of this initially, especially for $15 AUD, easiest comparison I could make would be that this frag is essentially the synthetic and harsher little brother of Coach for men. Problem is, though, at least for me, as it begins to dry down (and in the heat), it becomes this disgusting scent that reminds me of bile/vomit, like I was sniffing around thinking "what is that disgusting smell?" and then it hit me, it was this. Will never wear this again in the heat, i'm sure it's just my skin in particular but still a no from me.

Absolutely awful scent. Smells horrible like a cheap deodorant from Lynx. Last for about 30 minutes and does not project at all, there a much better colognes for a similar price, this is just another example of a celebrity trying to make some quick money by making something they know that people will buy. I would stay a decent started fragrance however this smells like something to be worn at a year 6 disco. The design of the bottle is average in my opinion but for this fragrance average is as good as it gets.

At the start of my journey into fragrances discovery I obviously fell in the trap of David Beckham's perfumes. Like 99% of his products this has a decent, not great, opening and absolutely annoying dry down. Don't do like me, don't waste your money.

I don't get the comparisons to Night Time, which is stronger, more complex, and has some "bite." This is a "safe" scent with vanilla eventually being the strongest note I can detect. It's certainly pleasant - not too sweet, no obvious aroma chemicals, no "grape soda" element, etc., so if that's what you want this might be a great buy (I bought a 3 oz bottle for nearly half the low end prices at discounters!). However, I'd probably rather wear the dollar store version of SpiceBomb or A*Men and reapply if necessary. That's the "problem"' these days, that is, the prices are so low for so many good if not excellent scents that ones like Beyond are sort of left behind. Of course if I wear it again I might like it more, but if someone made me a decent swap offer I wouldn't hesitate! UPDATE: Over time the vanilla is joined by spices and perhaps something meant to be a kind of light wood/patchouli, and I like it better this way. The only issue might be the strength, but at these prices I can certainly spray more without feeling "ripped off," that's for sure! Also, I now get the comparison to Night Time (there's a kind of cool musk in both), but there is definitely no "clone" situation here (Beyond is milder and less interesting to me).

Very nice, spicy, fresh opening. A better, stronger opening mojito than Guerlain Homme which is a disappointing Guerlain for me. But the drydown of this is dissapointing. And of course, being a David Beckham cheapie frag, the performance of this is atrociously bad. But it's cheap, so like with David Beckham Instinct, I spray nearly 30 times on clothes mostly to get anything resembling satisfactory performance. I look for longevity primarily, which for me simply means being able to get intermittent whafts drifting up to my nose naturally throughout a six hour wear, without me having to go looking for it by pressing my nose on points of application. The 30 applications all over my shirt achieves that fairly well. Or close. But David Beckham Instinct is a bit better at this, as well as being the best scent profile I've experienced yet of any of his frags. Beyond is a nice scent profile through the opening, just be prepared to soak your shirt. Lol.

I thought I'd add a review of this one that said something apart from "Yeah, it's awesome!". This starts out with a lot of promise, but unfortunately it makes perfume promises that it just cant keep. The first blast is a very appealing mix of a leather and citrus/lime scent. It's also a little sweet, along the lines of One Million. I really liked it at this point. Unfortunately, all those appealing top notes soon disappate quickly into a standard celebrity mens' cologne that you've smelled about 1000 times before. Silage becomes low within an hour. The bottle looks great in the pics above but a bit on the budget side in reality. It's also very overpriced for what it is, but I will probably get a bottle when the price drops if only to experience those delicious top notes again.

This is a remarkably good budget scent, incredibly well done by an obviously talented perfumer. You get a lime and lavender top with patchoulli drydown which sounds conventional, but the perfumer perfectly blends in a bit of vanilla to add sweetness and avoid this smelling like an 80's masculine cliche. This is also unmistakably male, unlike the gender bending trends of the past few years of male perfumery this isn't one that's likely to be borrowed by the girlfriend or wife. It's unmistakably masculine, and all the better for it. If you or someone you know wants to dabble in a modern take on a classic masculine, without veering into the sugary club kid frags like One Million or Eros, this is a very safe and affordable bet.

Finally a good perfume from David Beckham, freely I can say the best from him. The bottle is very nicely made, and the cap also (unfortunately, I have a tester packing). The perfume is very powdery, full of amber with citrus mojito, than vanilla. Benzoin is also felt in drydown, but it is relatively low. Of course, black pepper has its role, although patchouli in combination with the leather bring the lines of luxury. At first resembles like Armani Code, and later on Escada Magnetism. Very solid perfume with good projection, autumn-winter type, and it's it. I paid 10 euros for 90 ml(tester packing), and I'am very happy tonight!

David Beckham fragrances smells nice but not worth to spend a single dime on it,longevity and sillage is 0/10 here in cheap warehouses you can get his fragrances for less then $15 for 100ml bottle and to be honest smells while you spray,soon as you stop the scent is gone,does not last even 15 sec.Those made in china will last longer then David Beckhams fragrances,shame for his name,if he comes up with a better performance,longevity,sillage and projection or EDP versions that can last at least 8h then i will be a No1 customer,for now is just a history...

I like many others have overlooked DB scents, thinking because they are cheap they will be crap. But this and Instinct are very good. The only negatives being longevity. Its a lovely smell is Beyond. Its not the easiest for my boxers damaged nose to pick out the individual notes on this one... It just smells nice. I had a compliment within minutes of stepping in to work wearing it. You can really lay the sprays on with this one as its not strong and lasts not too long. I thought i picked up lavender in this but its not stated in the notes

I am a big fan of Classic Blue, and I'm quite impressed by this offering too, it's still a little bit on the safe side, I'm waiting for Coty to introduce something a little more exciting under David Beckham's banner, but Beyond is nice and clean. I'll agree with another review on here that in the pictures the bottle looks prestige, but in reality it's very tacky. Things are looking good though, Blue and this are good, they're going in the right direction, 7/10

JPretty boring stuff. Does it smell good? Yes, pretty good. Similar to Azzaro pour homme night time. That same "Halloween/ Dracula scent' that is sweet and creamy but dusty lemon. Literally smells like lemon meringue pie. Im not hating on the house of Beckham because I like 'intimately beckham' even though it performs poorly

Tbh I can't write a good review, but I have an interesting story as to why, it sat in my bathroom and I used it to sanitise cuts or open wounds when I had them, and now I associate it with blood. I didn't like it that much that's why it was in my bathroom, I prefer my other colognes

have tried the deoderant body spray and i really enjoy it,certainly hangs around for a while,like most beckhams is very cheap and will definatly get the edt,to me it smells similar to bogart silver scent and intense.

This is a very modern Fragrance. The prominent note is Mojito! Fresh and sweet at the same time. I Also bought a shower gel and spray for a friend of mine. Worth a try! :-) Suitable for Spring and Fall/Autumn.

I can't stop sniffing this! But the purchase proposition is tricky when Davidoff's (authentic i swear) cool water only costs half as much per ml.

Can't get a better scent and complexity for the money. I'm a fan no matter the stigma of celebrity scents.

longevity is more then a downside- its the reason NOT TO BUY IT.

about time they made something that isnt cheap and rubbish .
