Botanical Resin

I feel like this one needs some more credit. It's a beautiful herbal scent, opening fresh and leaning to a sweeter side while drying down. But the main theme is strongly bitter-sweet herbal, like a Fernet or Jaegermeister IMHO. Performance is also surprisingly good for a Beckham scent, they strongly improved these new scents.

I tested the fragrance just for fun yesterday at the drugstore and found it very pleasant. It has a slightly dark, spicy sweetness with a distinctly seductive and masculine character. Concept-wise, it leans more toward a date-night fragrance. The sweetness gives it a youthful touch, making it very suitable for young adults. I couldn’t clearly identify individual notes, but I can honestly say it’s a nice, sweet-spicy-masculine date-night scent that works well for evening wear — or better yet, as a gift for a teenager or young adult. It’s absolutely mainstream-friendly and can be worn anywhere: at the office or school, grocery shopppig, or in the evening. It was priced at €14, which is actually great — until I noticed it only contains 50 ml. The 100 ml version costs around €28 online, which is still okay for a fragrance from a former football player. On the other hand, for around €30 or a bit more, you can already get powerful Middle Eastern fragrances that aren’t just dupes but also offer excellent quality (Arabiyat Prestige, Swiss Arabian, Ahmed Al Maghribi). As a drugstore fragrance, though, it’s really good and clearly stands out from most other drugstore scents.

The opening is very fresh, citrusy and a sweet ginger. It quickly settles down to a skin scent with some amber and sandalwood notes. While the projection is far better than the old collection, it still could definitely be much better. Overall pleasant fragrance, but wish it lasted longer
