David Beckham True Instinct

Notes from beckham-fragrances dot com: Top: pine needles Heart: cedarwood Base: vetiver David Beckham True Instinct (or "Pulsing Instinct" in some regions) is a woody, aquatic and aromatic fragrance. It's basicly like a softwood forest version of Armani Acqua di Giò, and because of woodiness and greenness, leaning towards Acqua di Giò Profumo (or Parfum, nowadays). Pine needle oil and freshly cut pine can be smelled from the beginning. Not listed, but the sea note is there, to me. Vetiver in the base and I'd say patchouli and incense too. It's all blended quite smoothly and it smells modern, but doesn't take Sauvage/Invictus route. What a great smell! Not a heavy projector but lasts to satisfaction, which is something that I've not experienced before with David Beckham fragrances. Although not the most original fragrance, I think this is the best David Beckham! The prices have been creeping up though, it's 36 EUR for 50ml bottle here where I live. But I actually think it's worth the money. Look out for discounts, I got my 50ml bottle for 23 EUR.

It's fine, the smell is very nice but may vary from person to person. Good, fresh and woody fragrance, best suited for spring. Sillage isn't its power, as most david beckham frags, its simply a fresh fragrance.

Nice, classic, masculine, pine needles and pine bark more obvious, somewhat elegant, Smell and price is a Yes! This and the original Instinct (yellow juice) are my Beckham favorites!

My favorite Cologne. It lasts so long and smells amazing. I wear it almost Everyday.

picture this - you’re 18- you’re buying your first cologne if not perfume bottle ever, you’re squatting low to the grounds of superdrug spraying every bottle directly into the air huffing as many molecules as you can before they touch your heelboots with the paint chipping at the front . so you’re thinking you want a classic masculine scent that doesnt scream frat bro spitting-yelling over up women at the club who’ve only switched from axe to a similarly aggressive spray cologne- but you also dont want to give off full office im a sweet prick who smells like cow that barely died- and yeah, the packaging is colors is offensive, and who gives a gaf about david beckham, but its within your acceptable 20 dollar price range to which you can tack on your brown lipstick and eyeliner and superdrug earrings and when you spray it you smell something that so vaguely resembles the acqua di gio your dad wears. and its a little nolstalgic, because you also had this pretty fucking intense pine flavored harry’s deoderant in highschool- and because you’re abroad and its a toss up between this 20 dollar cologne and the 25 dollar farah one that also smells pretty good to be honest to your juvenile, lesbian nose. so what. sue me. i like it it and i sneeze and its gone, and if i recall many of my jackets have this dull , acidic after smell which honestly it might not even be from the cologne that MIGHT just be me hoping it stayed on longer. i think it mixed well with the malboro reds i kept buying which gave me heart palpitations, and probably helped attract a minorly devastating situationship whos perfume i wish i could unlearn because i’d like to wear it myself. if im trying to smell fresh or masculine or springy- i put this on- otherwise i catch whiffs of it on my scarf and it just sort of haunts me with my past self-image.
