Instinct

Instinct opens with a rich, complex orange, supported with heady cedar wood, with undertones of subtle incense. I can definitely recognize the cardamom immediately, with perhaps some star anise in there somewhere, too. There’s something in it that’s almost reminiscent of the olfactory overload that your nose gets when you eat wonderful Indian food – that blast of a variety of spices whose cumulative accord is intoxicating, but that you have difficulty individually separating. Into the dry down, the citrus begins to disappear and the cedar very much comes to the forefront - smelling your skin ten minutes in is like opening your grandmother’s cedar chest with her moth-eaten wedding dress and old family photographs. If I’m not mistaken, there’s also a most subtle herbaceousness, that of a freshly mown lawn, that lingers like a haunting refrain. It’s not listed in the notes, so I’m guessing this accord might be the result of the patchouli flirtatiously mixing with something else. I don’t get a lot of complexity in the dry down, except that the dwindling of the smell reminds me a bit of a sophisticated, older man’s aftershave: dry, somewhat soapy and powdery, citrusy, and full of earth. Of course, considering 2.5 ounces can be yours for less than $20 at a Ross or Marshall’s, it’s bound to have its problems. I have skin that notoriously “drinks” whatever I put on it, so I always have to apply more than most people would recommend. However, even after 8-10 sprays of this (two to my neck, two to my wrists, and a few on my shirt), the sillage is almost nonexistent and longevity is perhaps two hours at most, at which points it’s hovering about an inch off of my skin. This isn’t a “beast,” as the guys like to say. But I find it pleasant, warm, bright, refreshing, and inviting. At this price point, it’s difficult fragrance to criticize. I would most certainly buy this again.

IAfter reading the reviews I decided to blind buy this one. Especially when I read that this was citrus heavy. I have to disagree. This is a vetiver heavy scent that is a borderline barbershop smell, at least in the opening. The good news is that the amber, star anise, and pimento start to cut in fairly quickly. I was ready to write this one off as I’m not a huge vetiver fan. Probably because I grew up with a lot of old school scents that were moss, and vetiver heavy. Something beautiful starts to take place in the mid though, really beautiful. The vetiver starts to cool down and then you’re left with a beautiful bergamot and amber combo, with the sharpness of the vetiver just lounging around faded in the background. I’m probably going to take some shit from our community for saying this but I’m giving this one a solid 7/10. I’d give this a 9 if I got more than 2 hours from this. Considering I paid under 20$ bucks for a 75ml bottle, I’d consider this a great buy. This would be a great starter or beginner bottle for a young buck looking to break into the fragrance genre, and especially if he’s looking to get a smell of a vetiver scent that doesn’t smell too old mannish, but just enough to understand how it’s used in scents. In my experience Vetiver is a tricky note. It can be used in either two ways, it’s either soapy and clean, or dirty/earthy smelling, this is a clean soapy version of vetiver.

The first few times I wore this I thought it was fairly boring. Then my nose keyed in on the vetiver that is presented in this frag. Since then, I've found myself compelled to wear it. For the price its a bargain. You can find it at discounters from time to time. The performance I get is wildly different each time I wear it. Most of the notes seem to drop out off for me but the vetiver and anise keep motoring and I think that's what I find attractive about Instinct. Chopshop rating: 9.6/10 Update 11/13/15: Born of the hands that crafted L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Eau Extreme, this stuff is good by proxy alone. This is my favorite Beckham fragrance now. I think that this is a wonderful work scent. It is sophisticated. It adds to ones own self confidence. This is well blended, it feels very right wearing with any attire. I find that this is very versatile being dry as hell (which I love) and slightly spice. The version of vetiver used here is clean, damp, and rich. I just bought a backup bottle for 12.99 at Ross. Lovely frag. Update 12/22/15: I now have a total of three backup bottles of this stuff. One of them I keep at my office. Majorly underrated frag.

David Beckham man's frags can usually be summed up in one sentence. Instinct means "Always presentable". As any other Beckham, there are some high quality ingredients, diluted to budget of course. The bottle is well done too. Instinct is star anise with some citrus on top and a distant woody base for me. I find it well blended and balanced. Longevity is reasonable but sillage is a whisper. Instinct does not layer, it smothers any other smell if applied in quantity. This is actually the main feature that makes it great for travel: after using a cheap hotel soap, my partner's shampoo and who knows what deodorant, applying Instinct supresses and replaces the cacophony of smells. When I was travelling and used up my allocation to bring perfume as present, Instinct was the juice I was missing most. The other application is to mask the scrubbers after scrubbing. This is the frag I wear when I wear nothing. 10 /10 for doing what it is supposed to do 9.5/10 for composition 0 /10 for bragging rights Great value too.

I don't know what it is about this fragrance but I can't get enough of it. I keep smelling my arm to get another whiff of it. It has a certain note I wish I could identify. It is a bit of a peppery/aromatic warm spicy note to my novice nose. Someone help me out here. Would that be the vetiver or perhaps the anise? I bought my first bottle of this perhaps 3 or 4 years ago and finally ran out. I was pleased to see I could get a 75ml for under $20 at the local Ross/Marshalls. Sillage and longevity are moderate and I have received many compliments when wearing it. This is definitely the best of the Beckham frags for men that I have smelled. Not bad from a sweaty soccer player celeb who married a Spice Girl. Who'd have thunk!?

Hated it first but love it now. I'm on my second bottle. I thought it would smell cheap because it was a celebrity perfume but it really is a great fragrance. This fragrance is "clean" without smelling like soap/cotton etc. It is great if you want to smell fresh. You will probably not be satisfied with it if you like strong perfumes with a lot of spices, but it still gives a feeling of confidence even though it's not "all over the place". It's quiet and blends well with my natural smell and because of this I get the feeling it doesn't last for very long. I am not sure if this is a negative or positive thing because I think that may be reason why I don't get tired of it like I do with other perfumes.

Say what you want about celebrity frags but this has outlasted my Dior, Boss, Armani and D&G fragrances. There's especially something in the opening that's just so damn attractive. A really sharp green smell that tingles my nose. What note can this be? I thought it could be bergamot but it was not that citrusy, and now I realise I've never thought of the fact that this contains pimento. I think the pimento in combination with the cardamom and vetiver creates this sensation. Do you know of a fragrance with this opening but on steroids? Let me know. Only downside is that this (at times) can become stickly sweet, but this does not happen if applied on clothes I think. Will buy my third bottle soon.

Smells like a more citric Bandera's Mediterráneo with the base notes of Dominguez' Agua Fresca. It is a very simple blend that does not claim anything else than that. It has a barbershop vibe (it is a fougere) that might make it close to classics like Dior's Eau Sauvage. It does not play along the "longevity/projection" divide, so rule it out if you prefer these kind of scents. As to the user's profile, it projects a classic vibe. It definerely has a personality that does not relate to its price. BTW, I assume a man elegantly dressed in a very formal social occasion wearing it would never be thought of as using this.

A very nice soft fragrance. The vetiver does not get real 'dirty'. It's mellowed by the anise and patchouli. Personally I don't really pick up any citrus in this but I don't put a lot of stock in the listed note pyramids anyway. Radiates at greater than arms length for about 30 min to 1 hour and sits at arms length for about another hour before it diminishes to a skin scent lasting another couple hours before it bids farewell. It's pretty unique and well crafted as far as celebrity scents go. For the small price you will pay at stores like Ross & Marshall's Instinct is a worthwhile addition to anyone's collection.

Soft? Yes. Spice? Yes. Light Wood? Yes. Citrus? Yes. Longevity? It has been more than 11hrs and there is still a trace, however faint. Projection? Not far. At all. Quite honestly, I would have most likely avoided this fragrance entirely had it not been received as a gift. I generally avoid celeb releases for whatever preconceived notions I have, but will perhaps change that after wearing DBI. It smells good enough, it's smart enough. And darn it, people like it.

D B Instinct to my opinion is a really nice cologne!! I did not expect a so nice thing from a celebrity, including the very good price £ 10 approx. It is a citrus-aromatic-light spicy-fresh mostly for the summer. Something between Spanish - Italian. I feel good wearing this! The magnetic cap is also a nice addition! The lasting is moderate but overall Instinct is 100% smart choice for men! The body spray is also nice!

I bought this the other day, and cannot stop wearing it! Great scent, very fresh and sharp, a clean masculine scent with a lemon edge to it. This does fade out sort of quickly, but I just reapply every few hours, and why not its dirt cheap! Great bottle and magnetic cap! Very well done, a must buy if you do not have this. 9/10 Now A permeant part of my collection

like others are saying this one is seriously seriously good and in my view could easily wear the badge of say armani or bvlgari etc. the rating for this is embarrassing tbh its a 4 plus all day long. DB frags cop too much unwarranted hate imo probably the best buy one can make under $15. unbelievable value but probably for the more mature dude say mid-late 20s up

Serves a purpose. Finally I own a fragrance that did not cost me a fortune (it is ridiculously cheap by the way) that I could always spray on my wrists and sniff, without feeling sorry for wasting the juice. It does not last but that's the best part of it, because I can spray over and over and over again, and enjoy this delicious yummy aroma to the core!!

Fantastic classic masculine for an unbelievable price. I liked it so much that I thought long and hard about which other fragrance would be similar but use higher quality ingredients and decided Grey Vetiver EDT was the answer. But for the price this is selling it is well worth having in your collection and perfect for evening use.

Bankruptcy Vetiver with a little spices. Casual, enjoyable and the packaging exudes an astonishing amount of class for such a modestly priced product. Pleasantly surprised here, I find myself reaching for this quite often due to its unassuming nature and refreshing qualities. This was my Dark Souls III scent.

I have emptied 2 75ml, 2 50ml bottles already, I have 1 75ml and 1 50ml intact. Reason for loving: 1. Great non offensive fragrance. 2. Great for everyday Office(cheap too). 3. A bit unique. 4. Got complements. 5. Definately Masculine. 6. Good for summer. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

This was my first fragrance and I love it ever since. Probably one of the best celebrity fragrance in my humble opinion but it doesn't perform like a beast or something, I feel it's just a skin scent but it's ok for 20€ or something.

Never thought I would like a cheap Beckham fragrance. Instinct is a unique fragrance with notes of citrus, bergamot and pepper. 8/10

D/B Instinct ..is worth £9.99 for 75ml .. Uk prices in some places others it's £14.00 .. still a lovely smell, and lasts a while.

Somebody has to find a way to make the top notes of this scent last. I love this cheap thing!

I love it and I have over 40 bottles of fragrance!!

And 100 reviews...So while this is not a fancy item, it was a fragrance I received in a gift set upon its release, well before this became a hobby. In fact I only recently finished the body wash it came with. At the time I had Eternity and a bunch of AVON items. AVON at the time was leaning modern even unisex almost, or at the very least sporty fresh. Instinct followed in line with Eternity only even more masculine, hell this was David Beckham, the most manly man that existed on the planet. I did not at the time know scent categories or profiles, but I did know the style it reminded me of, and it leaned to the aftershave splashes, but with some longevity and punch. To be honest this is a great AROMATIC FOUGERE, and don't read too much into the notes or the reviews calling it a bright citrus, this has that medicinal spicy vibe reminiscent of many older barbershop scents. Yes, bergamot is present, but not in a crisp prominent way, this is like the older scents with 25 notes working together at various stages, in reality this bargain cheapie has complexity well outside its price. So performance is solid for the first couple hours, even projects enough to draw attention, then it softens and clings close to skin for another four or five hours. This is a cooler weather item, but not winter. OK for summer nights, but really in a casual setting for that and might be cloying if the temperature is high. Still like this one, and appreciate the release date at a time when fragrance was really changing. If Beckham had a say in this, I would think it interesting to know his thoughts about the scent? Did he like the profile? What were they aiming for? Was this in fact how he felt men should smell, or was he simply the poster boy...Who knows? Side note, I find star anise prominent here, like many other fougeres.

I, like so many others, was pessimistic simply because it was a celebrity brand, but damn it... this is a terrific smelling men's scent. And let's remember, it's NOT David Beckham that's mixing this scent together in his white labcoat, but rather, someone who knows what they're doing with perfume (and they've been given a shot at making a name for him/herself with the Beckhams' help)... and I think that's a great thing... (ie. More scents out there to choose from :) Basically, the more 'faces' (Celebrity or otherwise), that can put new fragrances under our noses, the better I say, so don't be averse to a brand just because it's from J.Lo or Beckham or Justin Beiber (I know, a stretch), or whatever. If you're curious, give it a shot... you may just surprise yourself and your nose, and that's a great moment :) Anyway... as to DB's INSTINCT scent, I'd say... --------------------------------------------- POOR: Sillage AVERAGE: Longevity VERY GOOD: Scent BEAUTIFUL: Bottle design (and I love the magnetic cap!) UNBELIEVABLE: Price $12 !!! (seriously.) OVERALL: You're getting a classy men's fresh/citrus vetiver fragrance for only $12... You can't go wrong with this. Value for money, this is 9/10. --------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I have INSTINCT on my workdesk as a 'cheap' refresher should i not have a fragrance in my bag, and today (while wearing VERSACE EROS), I decided to spray a little INSTINCT on my wrist (for fun)... and man, it's so, so good. The initial freshness is invigorating and the dry-down smells like a classy niche perfume. The fact that it's so cheap makes this fragrance even better, in that you don't have to be precious with it because it doesn't cost a fortune and is easy to get :)

The opening of this is indeed very reminiscent of Guerlain Vetiver. And that is a very good model to emulate! I saw it in the "reminds me of" lineup and so I just now thumbed that up. It's just the opening, sprayed on a card for now. I'll come back and edit this when I've given Instinct a full wearing. Update: 3 sprays on each wrist (one on long sleeve shirt) and 2 sprays on my shirt on my chest. 30 minutes later I can barely smell anything. And reviewers on here give longevity an 8 out of 10 and sillage a 9 out of 10? It's a very nice scent, too bad I can't smell it. Update2: I just bought and applied Oscar for Men by Oscar de La Renta. It's very similar to this only stronger performing. And this really smells like a cheaper 2005 precursor to the coming Terre d'Hermes scent profile. This is a very nice scent profile, although obviously cheap oils/materials. But based on the scent profile alone Instinct deserves a much higher rating than it has here. It's one of my favorite daily wear/office scent frags and I have upwards of 200 fragrances in full bottle or decants. Just spray it 20 to 30 times on clothes to get closer to satisfactory performance. Really. I just bought a second 75ml bottle for about $12 USD so 20 to 30 sprays per wear is worth it for such a nice scent profile. P.S: Oh, and this is NOT an Aromatic Fougere. No lavender, oakmoss, or even coumarin anywhere. Its probably a Spicy Oriental or Woody Spicy Oriental (the vetiver) or a Citrus Aromatic or some ambiguous combination thereof. And this smells nothing like Chanel Platinum Egoiste, which has several votes in the 'reminds me of....' section on this page. I mean really, what's wrong with people's noses?

This is a spin off on Oscar for Men, watered down and spicier with an addition of cardamom. Alain Astori, the perfumer really seem to have like what Oscar for Men have done with the citrus-vetiver notes, and went on to produce his own spin offs, Dunhill Edition Alfred Dunhill being also one of them. From there it becomes really apparent where the DNA of this fragrance comes from. Oscar for Men is based on Cacharel pour L'Homme and influenced many fragrances from top brands, like Terre D'hermes, Grey Vetiver by Tom ford, Gurlain Vetiver and many. At the end, the scent profile is unique because of the spices used on top of being a citrus-vetiver combo. Also being vetiver being lighter and cleaner creates a unison of a citrus-vetiver note where you cannot fully separate the citrus from vetiver. The addition of cardamom acts as a bridge between the spices and heart notes, creating a unique scent that smells familiar, yet very so. This was my first "real" fragrance that I bought back in college, and I can understand the mixed reaction it gets. It's cheap and its not really good for colder weather. It's a fragrance that promises a lot, but doesn't deliver the performance as you get more mature and demanding about the performance. But for the price of what it is, it has still managed to be on my shelf, mainly because its really hard to find a good citrus-cardamom-vetiver based fragrance that has this balance and nuance. Atleast for the matter, I have found none that has the same DNA with a better performance. Edit: If you find something that is a better performing version of David Beckham Instinct with citrus-cardamom-vetiver combo, please DM me with the suggestion.

I am a bit of a "completist" when it comes to Houses I like; and I like DVB, so I bought a 15 ml EDT at a superstore and do not regret it one bit! This is no powerhouse MANSCENT nor is it a watery aquatic clone, it's actually quite decent... This scent begins very sweet with orange and tangerine tempered with bergamot, fresh but not too juicy or syrupy. After the initial citruses fade (as citruses often do) the heart is a spicy but subtle mix of cardamom (smooth and pungent), pimento (slightly peppery) and anise (warm and sweet but not too licoricy). These two levels balance each other nicely and instead of being cloying, it is zesty and smoothly clean. The drydown is manly but reserved with the dry vetiver, a touch of patchouli and an amber note that is light, yet supports the other basenotes without overpowering them. Ultimately, this is a fresh, slightly warm, down-to-earth scent. It is by no means weak,but it's no titan either. It is attractive, masculine and quite unpretentious-a fitting debut for Becks... Sillage: okay Longevity: decent Overall: 3.5/5 This is a safe scent that, while being manly enough, will probably not offend anyone. It's good for work, school or for you, if you just want to smell nice but not make a statement. It's good for havin' a few pints with the boys at the pub, but I would go with something deeper or more sensual for a date or special night on the town...

When it was released I remember being given a sample of it and not really caring for it. A few years later and for a very attractive price I gave Instinct another shot and bought it. I am usually not a fan of fragrances dominated by green notes and on this one those are actually the strongest. The vetiver and the delicious pimento notes are the ones I feel the most followed by the cardamom and the star anise giving it a spicy side. The citruses give it a bit of a fresh touch. I don't find it generic. I don't remember smelling something like this before. It is not your typical sporty scent in spite of being associated to a very famous athlete. It has an outdoorsy vibe. For a man in contact with itself and his surroundings. I use it mainly for work or for casual settings. Despite what I thought initially years ago, I now like it and feel proud wearing it. I guess its drastic price drop also added a lot in my change of heart. Its durability is quite low sadly. It lasts 2-3 hours maximum and never stays too far from the skin.

He's impeccable dressed, stylish, forever changing his hair styles and always on the front cover of magazines. He's one half of the most fashionable, talked about couples in the world today. Following on from his beloved wife Victoria, it was only a matter of time before Mr Beckham launched his own fragrance too. 2005 saw the launch of Instinct. Perfectly packaged in a stylish bottle you can definately smell the sweet citrus notes of madarine orange, bergamot and sun anise. Its young, fresh, day wear. Maybe a bit too overpowering? But what do you expect from one of the most famous men in the world today. I like Instinct. Theres nothing to not like about it. Its just not amazing. But then again. You cant be amazing at everything. Can you??

No one talks about this, and that's a shame. There are tons of citrus and sport fragrances out there and Instinct can stand up the the best of them. Yes, the performance is a little lacking, but the scent itself is top notch citrus. The biggies can take note from this, this is the only celebrity fragrance that's not just name tag to sell an uninspired confluence of generic notes. This citrus and vetiver combo (a very common combo) is a great office wear of casual day wear for the price. I'm proud to have this in my collection. As some people have already mentioned, a lot of times fragrances are loved or hated just basis the house they come from. You remove DB and replace it with any major brand and this would have been getting multiple times more love and attention

I have owned or sampled hundreds of colognes from niche to designer. With that being my nose is fairly well developed. It is definitely developed enough to know that this fragrance is actually pretty darn good considering its $15 price. It is not synthetic, lasts a long time and smells pleasant. It is not ground breaking but it will not offend anyone either. This is definitely a manly, modern fragrance. This is for the man that wants to smell manly without smelling like their grandfather. Excellent for work when you don't want something sweet or fruity. On a final note anyone who doesn't like this based on it being supposedly synthetic or on the fact that it is a celebrity fragrance is, in fact, a fragrance snob.

Not terrible as far as celebrity endorsed scents go. I enjoy this one. I have found the best use for it is the gym bag. I usually throw a spritz on after showering at the gym and it works out wonderfully, especially in the summer months. Its a very citrus/spicy combination but is still soft. I have never had this one offend anyone and is very safe as far as a scent goes. Also to my surprise it has some substantial longevity, in the area of 10 hours. However after 45-1 hour it will not project more than a foot and will continue to fade exponentially closer to the skin as time goes on. But overall lovely, safe scent for the price. Pick this up before you pick up that dreadful Axe shit.

David Beckham is not a fragrance creator, he just wanted to make a buck. This was my first ever fragrance, my mom got it for me when I was a kid. You could say this was the one that started my love for fragrances (it wasn't). But, that's what this fragrance is good for. It's cheaper than JOOP!, It's cheaper than Cool Water, hell it's cheaper than Blue Jeans. It's not a fragrance for Men, it's a fragrance for Boys. It's a fragrance a Grandma can get her Grandson. For less than $15 you really cannot complain about anything. It smells good for how much it's worth. If Mr. Beckham was selling this for $80 then he would get clowned on.

Definitely not a bad scent. I enjoy the fresh opening mixed with the pimento and anise — it creates a clean, masculine vibe. However, it never becomes bold or niche in any way, which for me is a bit of a drawback. It’s a very basic, safe scent rather than something with real character, so it’s not one I’d reach for every day. The downside is the longevity. It opens strong but fades much faster than I’d like. If this lasted a full day, it could easily become a reliable warm-weather option. As it stands, the performance holds it back. (For context: my bottle is several years old, so longevity might differ with a newer batch.)

To me... It's a nice morning fresh aftershave scent. Very reminiscent of Armani Eau Pour Homme or, Dior Eau Sauvage. Not to say that it is "aftershave" as in being a cheap scent, rather the strength is pretty moderate to poor. So, if you want a great scent that is fresh and uplifting and only need it to last a short time, or one that you can do a quick shot before going into a meeting or public without worrying about it needing a cool-down time, then I would say go for it. No, it's not unique, nor is it memorable, but it is fresh and clean citrus notes with a bit of sweetness from amber and a little earthiness of vetiver.

I picked this up as a blind buy at Ross about a year ago. Upon initial blast on my skin, my nose immediately picked up alot of pepper/pimento. No citrus or woody notes at all. Washed my wrist. I was automatically turned off. Since my collection has grown over the years I never thought nothing off it and never revisited it again until yesterday. Boy I wish I had given this fragrance a chance to develop. The dry down after about 30 mins the scent evolves into a warm cozy scent. I had my wife take a sniff and she was surprise how the smelled had changed. Glad I didn't give this one away.

I love Beckham as a footballer, I winced at the thought of him producing fragrances. How good can it be? And that was a boot right in my face. Now, this fragrance won't outlast a football match, nevermind extra time. But write it off at your loss. This is a really great scent, I reach for this if I need to run an errand or have a quick hour coffee with a friend, even on a date. It's that good. And it's really affordable, which makes it a no brainer. Get off the high chair and get a sniff and be pleasantly surprised. Its a scent that cannot be disliked.

My memory is failing me. I completely forgot I had this. This stuff is very good! I have very little recollection of just how it opened up, but I tend to think there was definitely a mild spice. Possibly a slight fruity note? I tend to like fragrances with those kinds of notes. Why I couldn't find this in a 100ml bottle is a mystery. Long Lasting? Definitely not. 3-4 hours at most. I think that's why I forgot about it. It didn't tick absolutely all of my boxes. Well done to the Beckhams for holding Coty to producing something pretty damn good.

This is a scent I like, but it's hard to have any strong feelings about it. In essence, it is a run of the mill dry, masculine, citrus with some aromatic, earthy vetiver on top. Normally, I'm biased against celebrity fragrances but the entire Beckham line is at various levels of pretty good and this is the original. It's more classic than sexy and it doesn't have much projection, so in my personal collection it's on the "safe for work" shelf. Not offensive, and cheap enough to blind buy for anybody. You might like it too.

Opening is beautiful and above average compared to the population of designer scents. Fresh, clean, natural vibe and very versatile. However it drys down to a skin scent so fast. When 50ml is under £10 posted you can't really complain. Would make a good stocking filler for a teenager, I like giving myself a couple of sprays out of the shower knowing I can apply my main frag before I go out or keep it in the glove box of my car and give myself a couple of sprays before an appointment. An utterly safe work/casual scent.

i bought this cologne on a whim. seeing as it was on sale i thought i couldn't lose. it has a very strong woody scent the second you put it on and smells all right; nothing too special but also not bad, either. haven't gotten any compliments on this scent as it doesn't stay on your skin for more than about 3 or 4 hours at most and it doesn't radiate too much. i wear this cologne occasionally but its not even close to one of my favorites that i own. i don't think i would buy it again seeing as it just isn't that great.

To start with, very professional and very versatile. I generally used to wear this to office, Lot of chicks loved it. It can be worn at any event, like a house party or like casual days. decent performance, and a good smell, its masculine. Not too much, does the job. 13$ , this is a gem. A must have. I would give it 8.5/10 (overall, considering the price too. if you can smell this good at 13$, why not. its fresh, somewhat spicy, so you can rock it at night too.

yes its cheap dirt cheap you could say but does not smell cheap in anyway shape or form instinct is a very warm and comforting smell that has a cosyness about it its best suited for autum winter nights in my opinian anyone whos avoided this because of the beckham tag should give this a try because its excellent and puts some fragrances 4 times its price to shame in terms of quality its just ashame the brand hasnt produced anything as good since ...

Deospray: I liked it but not as much as "Classic Blue". This smells spicy. Reminded me of ginger. The ginger scent in this perfume is more prominent on my skin than in the air. It's very familiar, I think there's a lot of male perfumes like this. Similar to Old Spice. Sprayed it in the air about an hour ago and can't feel it now. Normal lasting on skin/clothes, poor lasting in the air. Nice perfume but not my favourite.

This was the very first Beckham scent I ever used and I have to say it is a rather nice, smart scent. It opens quite strong and sweet with a spicy side and then dries down with a subtle wood scent. I would love it so much more if it were a bit more potent though, it simply isn't strong enough, I'd wear it a lot more if it had a stronger sillage. Great for a young adult just getting into cologne.

A fresh, soft scent. Even thou it stays close to the skin it is a well made fragrance. Very clean, a perfect scent for the workplace. The vetiver note is there but very refined. I have a 100ml bottle at home and a 30ml in my desk at work, you would need to reapply this every 4 hours, for the price however you can buy both bottles for very little money. Good Stuff :)

This is NOT smell for work, only when you have no other options. Totally better would be Blue Classic when you want straight, pure office fragrance. Although, its perfect smell for meetings, private or business. But not "all day work"! It's smells better than that. Little spicy, manly, fresh and leathery but in fruity/citrus way. Very nice, dayish smell.
