Adventure

One of the guys I used to work with years ago wore this - I’d always notice it after his lunchtime workout. As others have commented, Adventure is an ideal gym fragrance. Good office fragrance too: pleasant and inoffensive, albeit fleeting - it’s a classy little number that reminds me (visually more than anything else) of the now-discontinued Kanon Agarwood which was a similar colour and had a similar style of woodiness (except Adventure is infinitely nicer). Seems to smell a bit different on me to how I remember it on my friend, and maybe it’s reformulation, but unlike him, I am neither young, nor fit. One of the things I really like about Adventure is that although it feels familiar in style I cannot identify any of the notes - my olfactory system tells me I like them but doesn’t recognise them and is unable to identify what they are. To my mind that “I don’t know what it is but I like it” quality helps Adventure stand out in an overcrowded marketplace. While it lasts, Adventure is fantastic - opens with a classic citrus overture, then becomes a linear, full-bodied, woody blend that performs well for about an hour. Then it fades. It would be awesome if only it had better longevity. Still, it’s a stylish variation on a classic gentleman’s woody fragrance that represents excellent value for money. Got a 100ml tester for less than twenty bucks. Adventure is an elegant, stylish woody fragrance that could easily be worn by any member of the Gens Humana irrespective of crotch configuration. I reckon it’s a safe blind buy too. If you happen to be in the market for a straightforward but stylish gym fragrance, office fragrance, or just a quality cheapie (and not fussed about crappy performance) you could do worse.

I'm only gonna comment one thing because the concept and the blend of the scent is really nice and changes quite rapidly. The case is longevity. I mean, is the trade-off here to buy new bottles as a refill? The longevity is under one hour if you spray it on exposed skin. Under clothes it lasts about decent 4 hours, so it will definitely get you through a work day or a party, but you will not notice much of it. You need definitely a person that comes close to your skin to get a compliment, unless you just sprayed it on you one minute before your encounter. You don't produce a breeze of a nice warm scent behind you. The sillage is weak, and suddenly you understand why it may be considered cheapy. I guess the frustration goes to the fact that you go "Oh this smells really good", and then in 30 minutes time and onward, you ask yourself "What happened, where is it?". The bottle I have is 100 ml, and with this rate of longevity I will have to spray so much that it will not last more than three months.

I just had to register to comment on projection. I know how a scent can vary on different skins, but in my case this one is extreme. I got three new to try this evening, ended up on only noticing one.... One spray on each hand (Davidoff on one of my hands) and one further up on my arm. In order to notice the other two I had to put my nose on the skin. I was sitting in a cloud of Davidoff Adventure. Still going just as strong four hours later. I tried to wash that hand several times but I can't get the scent off (positive). I love it, warm, sensual, nothing I would wear at work (all male colleagues) unless I had a client meeting. Parties, dinners, evenings.. Can't wait to wear it. To me it's a lot like D&G Pour Homme. This one is a keeper, and as an extra bonus, I too ride an adventure motorcycle (as Ewan McGregor from the commercial ).

I love Adventure very much, it is hot & spicy with full of nice herby aromatic scent! A very well blended and complex fragrance with so many different herbs yet not over power to annoy others! Opening with a mild freshness with hints of citrus and very mild pepper scent. After about half an hour, the real gem is here! The spiciness of chili and aromatic sesame raise your desire to the maximum level~ You feel it real warm and passionate! It last for hours and the last woody note is here to calm your heat down and slow down your desire~ you have now experience a wonderful adventure with this truly amazing bottle! 8.5/10 Perfect for fall/winter season~ Lasting power & sillage is superb, 5 hours plus on me. Try it on and try imagine the greatest adventure you have, I have mine with this~

To me one of the most versatile and underrated fragrances. Both, my father (59 yo) and my younger brother (25 yo) can wear this equally good. Also, it suits almost every occasion (apart from maybe very special like wedding, christmas etc.) ranging from office/work to dating/night out. Therefore, its constant candiate in my rotation. Despite its versatility, its not generic, at least to me. I love the spicy/sweet citrus combination of mandarine orange and pepper/vetiver. I also get hints of leather in the drydown. AND its super cheap. In germany its about 25€/100ml. If you are looking for a safe and cheap present for christmas etc, buy it! Considering the price the performance is imho OK. On my skin the longevity is sufficient for a complete work day. The sillage is rather weak tho.

Opens with bergamot, orange, tea leaves and pepper mixture. Top notes merge into the middle notes of pepper & pimento, which is a very nice mix. Honestly, there’s not much dry down on me, it just kind of ....well, disappears. Smelling this actually does conjure up images of the type that you see in the Ewin McGregor commercial for this fragrance. Whoever designed that commercial has Adventure pegged. Very, very good advertising (and I usually hate advertising in general). I love the scent itself. I probably wouldn’t give it a 10, but I’d give it an 8. But the longevity on this is bad. In fact, I have every flanker on this Adventure line and every one of them smells nice but none of them last long at all. It’s very frustrating. So I say do with this what you will.

Starts with a refreshing burst of spicy orange and black pepper brightened by Bergamott and lemon. Slowly it shifts to a more woody dry down but amazingly the spicy orange stays present for hours. I don't experience the problems with longevity that others report. On my skin longevity is very good and the sillage is just enough for Adventure to be clearly present but still very inoffensive. Davidoff Adventure is to me not very adventurous, rather it is a wonderful sparkling everyday scent. Very wearable for almost any occasion. To start the day with the bright and refreshing top notes and then rest in the warm orange woody dry down throughout the day feels just right for most occasions.

Don't get fooled by its name... its not adventurous in an exciting way. I would rather note it as nostalgic and exploring. Its a lotion like creamy citrus 🍊 but often you'll get a fresh sharp whiff of vetiver and tea leaf(classic davidoff move🎁) It's nothing which will turn everyone's head but you'll definitely be noticed. Most importantly you'll be missed. 😎 Doesn't go with talkative or extrovert personality at all .Casual and formal both will do . Versatile. Some complaining here for longevity,but i think it would be cloying and heavy if it lasts more than it does. It's from a house which works in every criteria very carefully,so you can rely on it's subtlety.

Lots of reviews say this doesn't last long and has poor silage. I also thought so when I tried it on myself. But when I put one spray on my partner both his daughter and daughter-in-law noticed it when he met them later in the day. I think the wearer probably gets a bit numb to it after spraying it on and then it seems like it's not there any more, although others can smell it just fine. It's very balanced and warm for a citrus fragrance, normally those are pretty harsh and repellent for me. I agree with those who say it's versatile, I could imagine a man could wear this anywhere, including the workplace.

Blind buy at Burlington I like Davidoff they usually do a great job. This is a scent that has a journey, it starts off bright fruit with the pepper spice, (I like pepper in fragrances) then in the middle you get some pimento and the dry down is warm and has a French milled soapy smell the good stuff. Performance and longevity are average on me. This is a nice all around scent would work in an office, date, or church. It would not be to loud in the heat but has just enough strength to make it though colder temps. But for the office it surely would work all year and you may even get some complements.

Very woody, the fruit notes dont hit me so much but the Vetiver mixes with the pimento (chilli) really well, as do the cedar and pepper notes. Makes them hard to pick out individually. Would definitely grab this one again when I run out. This is a top 10 for me in the way that it's so smooth and easy to love. There's nothing massively intriguing or explosive about it that makes you fall in love with it, it's simply a really nice, spicy woody smell thats very comfortable. Best in the day. Still god for nights but not strong enough to wear out to a club if you want it to be noticed.

I lived in this scent through my late teens to early 20's. As a broke student I stole so many tester bottles of this from various department stores, haha. This is/was very unisex and easy to wear, with lots of warm spices and citrus. A bottle of this was always in my bag so I could top up throughout the day as a mood booster, and I actually really liked the low silage and complete lack of longevity too as it never got overwhelming or strong enough to annoy anyone when spritzed it every few hours. I recall it layered beautifully with my Dr Organic Manuka Honey deodorant too.

Cold, fresh and rejuvenating on my skin. Somehow sweet aromatics but also freshly infused mate and tea base cutting thru citruses and spices top and mid. The performance is very good on my skin for 6 hs, even better on clothes. If you tried and liked Benetton Cold, this is imo as refreshing as that one, but sweeter and without the menthol, anise edges and more subdued in musks. Year round all occasion scent for me, esp. casual-sport-office.

Can honestly say that this is one of the first fragrances i fell in love with after smelling it in one of them foldover magazine pages that have the scent in its bright spicy and citrusy well blended and classy suits a certain type and younger gentlemen wont like this truly superb and worth testing at the very least sillage is great longivity is also great not loud but noticable 10/10

adventure is woodsy and peppery and very dry. longevity is very poor but it's really worth it! it's a really masculine perfume for guys who don't fuss over their appearance too much..i loved it so much i gave it to my bf for christmas and he really enjoys wearing it..sometimes i layer it with vanilla or fruity scents and wear it too..wish the longevity was better though..

So I was strolling in a mall and happened to pass by a Kiehl boutique, I tried Vetiver & Black Tea and it smelled really familiar. After several tries, I've finally nailed the scent! Non other than Davidoff Adventure! There will always be slight differences since different batches of the same fragrance will not be the same scent, after all. This is like ADG to PE 360 Red.

Smells awesome but projection and longivity arnt that good. Projects for about 1 hour then skin scent and the longivity is about 4-5 hours on me.does alot better on cool summer evenings. Dont get me wrong its draws compliments.good thing its cheap to get so keep spraying when you need to.smells very nice tho 7/10

Really sexy fragrance. I love to smell this on a man. It's exactly what an aftershave should be - you know it's there but it doesn't announce its presence loudly like some fragrances. I've never been able to separate out the different notes; it simply seems to amplify a man's natural scent. Yum!

Good ol fashion throw in your bag safey, you could pump it 10-15 times and you still wouldn't choke anyone out. $20 AUD and for the right reason, not a go out and rush to buy but still holds its weight. Definitely smell the pimento and bergamot/mandarin. Good journey taker.

So my boyfriend bought this for his dad, his dad doesn't actually use it, but bf does, and when he does I LOVE IT!! I think it's quite a sexy fragrance. I actually prefer this to 'The One' that he actually owns. Am gunna buy this one for him because it is hot!

I don't care about a scent at all. I love or like and I got this bottle because of Ewan only ! He's hot, tender and sexy and warming like this perfume. Simply bottle but really great smell especially in the morning. I got many attention. 9/10

great, warm & comforting, with a slight coconut scent, I'm surprised it isn't in the fragrance notes. oh, and the bottle is strong & durable, like a hip-flask. I like the feel of it in my hand, something that will travel well. ;oP

I love this fragrance.smell of citrus .mandarin.lemon is absolutely obvious.it last 1 2 hour intensely and 5 6 hour in weaker mode and 2 days on its base note. عطر عالی و متفاوتیه.خوب میمونه رو پوستم.خوشگلم هست.راضیم از خریدنش

Davidoff Adventure Tangy, metallic orange. A bit soapy too. This will make you feel clean, well groomed and confident. Great all year around and extremely cheap to buy. You really have got nothing to lose with this one.

Well i think its very good, Davidoff Adventure is well made. I think its more classy but still sporty. Davidoff will be my fave scents for ever. I like it and i think if you like Davidoff this is a good one. :)

My father keeps it in his wardrobe, when I saw it I was curious how does it smells. I srpayed it on my neck and I was amazed. It's a great fresh but musculine fragrance. I love it, no matter I am female.

Smells so, so good. However, the minute you spray it on it’s gone. Terrible longevity, one of the worst performers I have ever come across. Really a shame, this could have been the rebirth of Davidoff.

Davidoff Adventure is a Pleasant fragrance. The longevity is not bad and projection is okay. Not the best from the house of Davidoff but a mediocre scent. 6 out of 10 for me.

Great gym scent for 20 bucks. Heats up just enough for a light spicy creaminess. Will offend no one. It's a way better reach than your standard fresh cheapie, like nautica.

Newer bottles don't have the metal top. Total bummer because the look of the bottle is one of the bonuses of the fragrance

Davidoff Adventure is one of those scents you don’t think too much about, but end up reaching for more than you’d expect. The opening is bright and uplifting: citrus-forward with mandarin orange and lemon, lightly spiced by a dash of black pepper. There’s a strong alcoholic hit right off the top, especially if you spray it directly onto skin, but it softens fairly quickly. Once it settles, that citrusy-pepper blend takes over and gives off an outdoorsy, easygoing feel, clean, masculine, and not trying too hard. The transition is subtle. I mostly get the pepper and mandarin orange, and deeper into the drydown, the vetiver and cedar become more noticeable. White musk is listed, but it’s not something I really pick up clearly. There’s also a bit of pimento in the base, giving it a soft earthy tinge, and while bergamot and lemon are there, they sit so lightly at the top that they fade quickly or get overpowered by the pepper and citrus. It’s not a complex scent. Nothing in it really contrasts or pushes against the other notes, so it feels quite linear. That makes it safe and easy to wear, but also kind of one-toned. It doesn’t smell bad. Far from it. But it’s not something that’s going to blow you away with evolution or depth. If I had to describe its ideal use, it’s definitely a spring or fall fragrance. Not too hot, not too cold. Just that perfect in-between. It wouldn’t work well in winter, and it doesn’t have the lightness to stay fresh in high heat. It leans masculine for sure, and I’d say it’s the kind of scent that fits the “dad fragrance” label in a positive way: steady, classic, reliable. A very grounded scent for the average man. Performance isn’t a strong suit. On moisturized and clean skin, I get about four hours tops. Projection is moderate at best, people need to be within arm’s length to really notice it. It doesn’t carry far, and while it sits nicely on clothes for a bit longer, it’s not what you’d call long-lasting. For those wanting intensity or uniqueness, this probably won’t satisfy. But here’s the thing: for the price, it’s still solid. You’re getting a decent, everyday scent in a sturdy bottle, and the presentation. with the metallic casing, actually feels nice in hand. As a gift or a budget-friendly pickup, it’s more than fine. It’s not adventurous like the name suggests, and it doesn’t have much edge, but it’s dependable and likable. Scent: 7/10 – Clean citrus and light spice, pleasant but simple. Longevity : 4/10 – Fades quickly on most skin. Sillage: 5.5/10 – Light projection, arm’s length at best. Uniqueness: 6/10 – Not standout, but still has a nice character. Value: 9/10 – Affordable and solid for what it is. Overall: 6.5/10 – A casual, no-stress choice with a soft touch. Been Trying this since Friday, so now on my third day I've come to a conclusion about what i think. My initial impressions still stand, It's a nice inoffensive fragrance. There's a smoky spiciness that adds some good weight to this. You can go a bit heavier in application with this (I used 6 sprays, 2 on neck, 2 on chest, 1 on t-shirt and last one on my shirt) due to the scent being more understated. Longevity isn't too bad with me, around 3-4 hours, and stays relatively close but leaves a fair trail. Some people on here have mentioned possible comparisons with some Burberry fragrances and I can see where they are coming from, however this is slightly more masculine scent in my opinion, I also believe it is well priced. This is a definite like for me :) (EDIT) - After using this for a couple weeks I can say that the fragrance really needs to be layered, it's best if you are wearing an undershirt (with a couple sprays) beneath your shirt (which again should get a couple sprays) and the scent will bounce around and heat up better when you are moving about. The fragrance is not strong enough with just a couple sprays thou, you have to be quite trigger happy with it. My opinion still stands however, it is a really nice scent.

It almost 10 years from the first bottle of this cologne I used, and today I just ordered a new 100ml bottle. I have to say this not a greatest fragrance on earth and there is nothing to remember about the scent, anyway this cologne presented it own character well.. a man who enjoys his life and love the journey to explore some new places. 9 years ago I wear this cologne every time I travel around and climbing the mountains in my hometown and this is it vibes , The cologne represents the vibes of droplets over the grass(vetiver), cool breath from foggy atmosphere(tea), First light from the sun (orange)and warm from the plant of rainforest (pepper). The casual scent for a journey man! Scent: 7/10 (warm spicy without sweet) Performance: 6/10 (just nice) In the south-east pacific (my country) it work very well when you enjoy the rainforest, river and mountain around you, you can feeling as you be a part of the nature. Just wearing this cologne in the right place and right occasions you will get the best of it. If you love this scent but prefer more longevity and silage, I suggest you try " Terre D' Hermeś EDT " that dominates with Orange and vetiver with extra longevity (4-5 hours) .

Davidoff Adventure. Its first impression on me was very...normal. It wasn't a very special smell. Yeah it maybe a unique smell but that doesn't mean necessary that it is good. ------------------------------ The smell of Adventure is not exactly what would you expect from a fragrance with such name. It is not sporty nor aquatic & it is not a green, forest smell nor fruity ! I found the smell a woody orange-ish, with a little bit of citrus. Being woody & citrusy is the characteristic of Carolina Herrera's hit fragrance 212 men, but Davidoff Adventure is very dissimilar. The vetiver & musk add smoky depth to the smell after a couple of hours. A dreamy touch ! This fragrance has a weak projection, but like I said it is unique & it does have its own masculine personality. Something you rarely find these day, where a lot of fragrances smell almost the same. ----------------------------- Being a fan of woody smells, this fragrance was a disappointment, a minor one. Especially with Ewan McGregor as the face of it. ----------------------------- Its smell reminded me of Vera Wang's only fragrance for men. Just a little hint of similarity.

I don't yet own this fragrance, but it's one of those that I have to smell whenever I got to the perfume department-it's just so damn nice. You see, as much as I can appreciate a well blended oriental with complex notes galore, I do sometimes enjoy a simple fresh fragrance. But if said fragrance is too linear, too citrusy, it loses my attention very quickly, it needs a little spicy note to keep it interesting. Case in point, Davidoff Adventure. The citrus notes are balanced out with the black pepper which comes through nicely, but is doesn't make the scent seem dry and overpowering as with some other peppery scents. In that way, it does live up to its name, as all those notes on paper seem like they shouldn't work together, yet somehow they do, and the result is lovely indeed. It smells noticeably better and less synthetic than most other fragrances within its very low price bracket, and longevity seems pretty good too. For now, I give it a 7/10. But that is subject to change once I buy a bottle for myself.

I love this fragrance. I do not find it generic at all. If there is a fragrance which does not smell like hundreds of other fragrances, it is this one. Sure it is not strongly spicy, or sickeningly sweet or smell edible, but these two last categories are what generic fragrances are like these days. There is only one fragrance which Aventure reminds me of, and that is the original Nina, although Adventure is much woodier, and so not a feminine smelling fragrance. I do like the opening very much, but it is the soft sweetish woody drydown that I find divine. I do not know what is the note or mixture, apart from the woods, that gives this fragrance its particular scent, but it is unique and to me absolutely lovely. About the sillage, it does keep radiating that divine smell for hours, although in a very subtlle way. Enough, though, to make me feel like I am in heaven. Antoine Lie does know how to make a fragrance.

Actually upon revisiting a really smart fragrance from Davidoff. I'm not going to go overboard with praise here but it's a very good woody/citrus for men and has a touch of the spicy to it. Aventure has all the elements a masculine scent needs. It opens with lemon citrus which then translates a bit mandarin orangey which I defy anyone not to like. Pepper, and pimento come though as it settles and in the base is a nice cedar and vetiver. Standard stuff you might think but Antoine Lie has done a stand up job here. I'll be honest the first time I tried it I found it boring, weak and seemed to evaporate in a mist of alcohol but second time around I've changed my mind. Not going to set the world alight but good all the same. Typical of Davidoff really... nothing spectacular just a safe pair of hands and a fool proof choice.

I have wanted to try this for a while and so when I saw a local chainstore selling one of their "unboxed" bottles for $5, I couldn't resist. As other have noted it is a fruity spicy fragrance with quite a sweet opening. Woody notes underpin the spicy sweetness. The problem with this scent, however, is that it is way too weak. I put 3 good sprays onto my wrist and ten minutes later I need to actually put my nose on my wrist to smell it. I read elsewhere that this is like Dunhill Pursuit, which is pretty close to the money. I would say rather, it is like Dunhill Pursuit mixed with Bulgari pour Homme or perhaps mixed with pure ethanol. The only 'adventure' in this fragrance is the all terrain path your nose needs to take across your wrist trying to actually smell it. Nice fragrance, but too weak.

This registers with me as a classic masculine sweet scent. I pretty much smell a realistic sweet mandarin top with some fougere aromatics in the middle and a woody/musky base. Better on older men imo, although I think it's fine for any age. The only trouble is its minimal projection, it's basically a skin scent. EDIT: after a couple of months, maceration seems to have helped. The scent got deeper, more notes are coming out, and it projects better and lasts longer. The pimento's spice, the touch of sesame, and the vetiver register much more than before. The scent bubble lasts a solid few hours and stays on clothes/skin for much longer after that. I'm actually really liking it now.

I absolutely agree with IMsooKool4Real, Adventure is a light, subtle fragrance that is safe for everyday use. The notes I get are citrus, spice and some cedar, For some reason the drydown brings coconuts to mind, very subtle though. As many have said, this is not a projection monster but I find that the longevity is quite good, I get 6-8 hours with no problems. Adventure is a versatile, safe fragrance for everyday use particularly in cold weather, It might not turn a lot of heads but you'll smell good and probably won't offend anyone with this, definitely worth a try

I recently bought this perfume, inspired by its name and its commercial featuring Evan McCregor. I like the fragrance, it is not bad but i would its not unique, it is an everyday perfume, not so uncommon. To me it is very mature sporty woody fragrance can be easily worn by young and middle aged. The sillage is moderate but longevity is not good. It starts with strong spicy notes and quickly drydown to its soft, smooth woody notes. There is not so much transition of notes i felt. Anyhow nice fragrance but nothing particular. I would rate it 6 out of 10.

We got a bit of fresh citrus and we got a bit of fresh spices. Longevity is great for a cheap EdT. Go crazy on the trigger and it'll easily last a work day, while not choking anyone around you. I have 100+ fragrances with some priced as high as $500, and still this is one my wife compliments me on, almost every time I wear it. I've gone through 4-5 bottles of this throughout the years. Sometimes there have been a few years I've been without it, but I still end up buying it again and it's pretty much like coming home. Recommended.

I've had a bottle of this for years and decided to dig it out today. It's pleasant, cozy even. Citrus and woods, dries down to a soft clean musk with just a bit of warmth and spice. Somewhat reminiscent of Dirty English or Dior Homme (from 15ish years ago) without the iris. And if memory serves, it's almost exactly like the American Crew scent they used to sell in salons along with the men's haircare line. Not sure when or where I'll wear it, but I was glad to rediscover it. If you find it for a bargain, it's a safe blind by.

This used to be my go to fregrance until it disapeared from the market, it returned a couple years later but i belive its reformulated, it smells less spicy, Camphorous, and nutty. It also dosent last as long. I changed to Guerlain L'homme idéal l'intense and its been my new favorite go to spicy fregrance. And when i want that more resinous smell i use terre d'hermes perfume. This was however my first fregrance and i will always have a soft spot for it. If the reformulate it to last longer i would wear it daily
